Three Table on a page?
My
Webpage Layout
That is what I want my webpage to look like.
Table one is the one that has the header navigation, an
advert, and the logo, with a background.
Table two contains more in depth navigation links, and a
different backgroung.
I need to place information in the spot of #3. I would like
to use a table to do this, but the cursor ends at the bottom of the
page, and that's where the table goes. I can't really add on to the
side navigation column, because I want a different background
image. What can I do?
Use a one row, 3 column table to hold a nested table in each
cell.

I have four tables in the template.
I want to display first three in all the pages and fourth table (which also has repeatng rows ) to be diplayed after first three tables.
I dont want to use the header concept.
Can this be possible.
AJTwo options:
1. You can create a sub template and place 3 tables within it. Then call the template from page header.
2. If you dont want to use page headers, you can use table headers.
Create a table. In first row place 3 tables which you want to repeat. Then choose 'Repeat as header row' in table properties.
In second row you can have your 4th table. -

All I need is to be able to search by ResourceLoginID and by
skillName on all active records (active=1). The plan is to be able
to click on a result record and go to a detail page to update the
"CompetencyLevel" field in the resourceSkillMapping table using the
update behavior in DW.
Please help as this project is due this Tue and have been
trying every posibility I could think so far....I have read all the
DW help facilities many pages on this and still keep getting the
"no data" message

I would say that this is where your problem is. Change it to:
WHERE (Skill.skillName LIKE '%Skill_asp%') AND
(Resource.resourceLoginID
LIKE
'%Agent_asp%')
and your query should work, unless of course you are actually
searching for
2 strings that read %Skill_asp% and %Agent_asp% exactly.

How can I duplicate the same table in 3 pages?
hi everybody!
i have a form with a master page (containing the invoice fields) and 3 body pages that reference the master page.
in each one of these 3 pages there is a table with one header row, 7 body rows and a footer row.
the table was copied and pasted from page 1 to page 2 and page 3.
between the body rows there are two rows that are bound with table data, one for invoice details and one for tax details.
my problem is that in the 2nd and 3rd page in pdf output invoice and tax details are empty, while the other lines are present.
it seems like there is a table index that loops once in the first page until it reaches the end of the table, so for page 2 and 3 it is already at the end...
my question is: how can i get the same complete table in three form pages?

Where is the data coming from? Is the user typing it in or is there a separate data source somewhere?

Update multi tables in one page
I need to create a page that allow users to update ( no insert, no delete) 2 tables 1 view.
home page users enter a record_no, then I pass the rec_no to p2 which has 3 regions. Each region points to one table\view respectively. All tables\view are linked by a same rec_no. Each region has a form on table with buttons: cancel,save.
This works fine with only one region but When I start putting 2nd region,
following issues arise
1. data only display on most recently added region( form), it won't display on both regions
2. when I click apply changes (save) on region 1, it erros on both regions that have not null columns. I think this is because it can't tell the difference on the button that I press.
Is it possible to achieve this goal: update multiple tables in one page ? What is the best way to do it ?
I don't want to use form with a report because it has extra page to go through.Ultimate goal is to make all regions Hide and show, so data won't clog whole screen if user has no need to see all at once. Is creating a view of these 3 tables\view the way to go ?
Can you help ? My brain is fried now.

I understand your frustration. Sometimes, something that should seem easy turns out to be so difficult. In this case, what you can do is this:
1. Get rid of the buttons in the second and third region. You can drive your updates all from only one set of buttons.
2. Set a condition on your update button that it only do the update if all three regions data have been filled in - that is - the fields you need are NOT NULL.
Sometimes, I have actually created a separate region called "Buttons" and that is all that resides there. When I have multiple regions on a screen that need input, I won't do any of the updates until all areas have been populated.
As for hiding/displaying the various regions based on your user's need to see them, you can also set conditional display on the region so the user won't see them if they don't need to.. And/or use the hide/show region template.

Calls have a timestamp.
Every game has event, such as start game or end game (see Event_Types), with its timestamp
Volumes: Number of calls received for each game between start game date and end date
Uniques: Unique Number of calls received for each game between start game date and end date
(distinct cli)
Mins on air: differences between start call and end call
Relationship:
The ID column from games table and game_id from events table is common.
Assume if the event type id is 2 then it starts game and if 3 then game ends. Other type is irrelevant for this query.
The id from event_type is mentioned in another table event_types as master with description. But it is not required to establish relationship with this table. As this code ( 2 or 3) is alredy availbel with event_type_id in the events table.
Please assume the CLI number as dummy data.
I have provided the structure and query to generate tables and populate testing data to sort out this issue at the earliest.
I tried to perform this query but I wish to compare the result with the script given by experts as I’m not a core developer.

I am unable to sort multiple columns in a table created in Pages.
I had been using Appleworks up until I installed Lion and have now switched to iWork. I created a table within a Pages document and am able to sort a single column (using the Table Inspector and choosing Sort from Edit Rows and Columns) but the Sort option is grayed out when I attempt to sort multiple columns.
In another post, someone talked about this being a problem if you have merged fields. I do not believe I have done this (to be honest I don't know the function of merging fields).
This is very frustrating as I was easily able to sort these tables in Appleworks.Sharon Anderson wrote:

Not so. In the lower left corner of the window, there's an icon that looks like a piece of paper. If you see this:
you are in Sheet View, or normal, mode. If you see this:
You are in Print View mode. Now you see the icons for portrait and landscape modes. Click your choice. Then arrange your content to fit the pages as you wish.

How to: Print table on first page, use second page (back) for text only
Hi, I am looking for a clear document on how to use pagination and the Odd and Even pages.
We need to print a table over several pages, but only on Odd pages.
On the back of each page we need to print "Terms and Conditions". Is that possible? Can it be done without scripting
We are on ADOBE version 8.1
In the file properties, double sided is switched on, and version set to 8.1 and higher.
I created two Master pages, a FrontPage with ContentArea1and a BackPage with ContentArea2.
FrontPage is used for uneven pages, BackPage is used for the even pages. The masterpages are printed correctly (alternating properly).
Two pages were created for the content area's:
ITEMS: contains item data (table with header and footer). Place is "On Odd Page". After "Goto page BackPage". And if the table needs to be paginated it goes to BackPage with overflow leader "Conditions".
CONDITIONS: contains a textfield (Terms and Conditions). Place is "On Even Page". After "Goto page FrontPage". No overflow.
What should happen is that on the front pages the item table is printed. If there are too many lines it should overflow to page number 3 then 5 etc. All the even pages should display the text.
What actually happens is that the item table also gets printed in the content area for the Condition text...
Also the "Conditions" are not printed on the last back page. But only once before it...

I have created 5 pages:
1. FirstPage
- Odd/Even: Odd (Front) Pages
- Placement: First page (In page set)
2. FrontPage (For Odd pages)
- Odd/Even: Odd/Front Pages
- Placement: Rest of Pages
3. BackPage (For Even pages)
- Odd/Even: Even (Back) Pages
- Placement: Rest of Pages
4. LastPage
- Odd/Even: No Odd/Even Restrictions
- Placement: Last page (In page set)
5. DummyPage
- Odd/Even: Blank pages
The 'Terms and conditions' are located on the BackPage and LastPage (as a text).
The table that is printed is (of course) located on a normal page (flowed subform).
Pagination tab: Placement = Following previous, and After = "Continue filling parent". No overflow... Basically, it's all default.
The table lines will now start on the first page and if there are more lines than can be printed on this page, it will continue in the next content area. That will be on the FrontPage.
The trick is that each master page must have a content area (mandatory). Except for Blank pages, but these cannot be used... Blank pages would only be used once, after the first page.
What I discovered is that you can drag a content area away from the Master page and attach it to a different master page.
Logically, if there is no content area on a page, then data cannot be printed there. So, I created a Dummypage. On this page I dumped the content areas from the LastPage and the BackPage. As a result, content cannot be printed anymore on the back of pages. Only the standard text (a text field) is printed there. When the data from the table is overflowing, it will automatically overflow from the FirstPage to the next content area. Which is located on the FrontPages only.
The DummyPage is NOT used anywhere.
The result is that the records can only be printed on the content areas that exist on the First and Front pages. The back pages are now skipped.
Duplex printing is now working correctly, and the text is printed on the back of all the pages.

I need to create a form using dynamic page. How do you pass values from the html form to a oracle procedure that will get executed on submission of the form ? I could not find any documents which shows how to do that. Can anyone please help me out with an example ?

How do I run a table over multiple pages?
Hi I write TV scripts using a simple two column table which can be many rows long - how can I get Pages to automatically run the table over multiple pages whilst still allowing me to cut and paste and rearrange the script? This is simple in Word and must work in pages but I can't work out how to get it to work. I've tried looking at the Page Break feature but it won't come up from the table?

My team and I use a Pages doc with several tables in it. The size of these tables (i.e. the number of rows in the table) change every week. Before upgrading to Yosemite, whenever a table extended beyond one page it would continue on the next with the same headers as the original table. For some reason, the tables now instead"shift" to the next page once the number of rows becomes too much for the current page.... That is unless it is the only table on on the page, in which case it will perform in the desired manner. However, if there are multiple tables on a page, the table will move to the next page, leaving a big blank space where it used to be. I have tried playing with the "Arrange" area to no avail. I can make the table float and create a new table on the next page once the rows become too numerous, but this is not ideal. Has this feature been removed from the new pages or am I just not looking in the right place?

How do I split a table over two pages in Pages?

I'm trying to split a table in Pages so that the text in the two adjacent rows will fall on two separate pages but I cannot find a way to do this. This was something that is easy to do if using MS Word so I can't believe it would be a feature missing from Pages?
The document I'm working with is my resume and I had my jobs nicely formatted in a long table so it was easy to work with (job title, dates, achievements etc. in different cells). Since updating to Yosemite and Pages 5.5 I've noticed that I now have my career summary and 'Professional Experience' title on the first page but the table with all my job information is now starting on the second page - leaving just a lot of blank space on the first page. One of the jobs on the second page now also splits across pages 2 and 3. I can see that it is trying to keep everything in the table together and that what I need to do is just split the table at a certain point so that I can put the first part of the table back onto page 1 and the second part of it on page 2 - but it won't give me any option to do this.
Any ideas?Although this thread is several months old, I felt compelled to reply as I have just encountered this gaping hole in Pages functionality. Jerrold Green 1 is incorrect in asserting that the OP's problem is that Pages won't split a cell across pages. The OP clearly indicates that Pages is not moving rows that won't fit on the first page of the table, but rather it moves the whole table to the next page.
So for example, if I have a paragraph of text at the top of page 1, and then insert a table under this paragraph that contains more rows than will fit on the remainder of the page, rather than the rows that won't fit being moved to page 2, Pages moves the entire table to page 2 leaving a big blank space on page 1. But bizarrely if the table contains more rows than will fit on one whole page, then it will move the overflow rows onto the third page, making you wonder why it didn't just do this on page 1.
This is with the table arrangement set to Move with Text. If I set it to Stay on Page, the end of the table just flows over the footer and off the page into oblivion. If I set Text Wrap to None, it just plonks the table right on top of the other text. So it gives you the option to do something silly, but not the most sensible option.
If I am missing something, then can someone please correct me. Without this basic functionality Pages cannot be considered a professional Word Processor. I'll unfortunately have to go back to MS Word. -
