Time of range

Hello
I have a need, and I have a infobjeto having a range of time, and placed in the query designer that infobjeto line level so that it can be displayed in the report the number of transactions that are there for each time range, but I run the report in bex analyzer and realize that only shows me the time ranges that have data, but I need to show all ranges of time even without data in some time ranges.
In the master data that infobjeto are all ranges of time which was done by deriving an hour abap.
As I can to do  in the report show all ranges of time even without data according to the consultation on the report parameter inputs?
Greetings.
nando

Hello
I already did, but I do not work, only shows me the ranges that have transactional data.
What else I can do?
Greetings.
Nando.

Airport express / extreme / Time Capsule Range
Can anyone please tell me what is the approximate range of Apple Airport Products.
While doing sell in Apple store customer always ask us this question and we don't had any answer for it.
So please if anyone has the answer do reply on this.
    - - - Akshay k. (ACMT)

The range is about 50 meters or 150 feet.....but this assumes that the AirPort is being used in a very large open space like a aircraft hangar.....with no obstructions in the signal path.
Chances are, your home is laid out a bit differently, so without knowing a number of variable factors like.....
    1) How many walls there will be in the signal path between wireless devices
    2) The actual construction type of the walls, ceilings, etc
    3) Heavy furniture, large mirrors, etc. in the signal path
4 ) Other wireless networks around your home
    5) Other wireless devices like cordless phones, BlueTooth devices, etc.
It would be impossible to tell you what the actual range might be in your home.
In general, assuming normal modern home construction, you would not want the wireless signal to pass through more than 2 or 3 walls....since each wall will absorb on average about 15-25% of the wireless signal. A ceiling will absorb even more because of its thickness.

  • Time Capsule Range Extension With Linksys?

I just bought a new Time Capsule to enable family automated back-ups and networked storage.  I replaced a Linksys router as the main router for the house and now I have lost wifi range - particularly in the room where we sit to stream video!! I don't have another cable connection in the house to add another router unfortunately.  Is there a way I could use my linksys router to wireelssly extend the Time Capsule range?  If so - can anyone point me to a layman's guide for setting this up?  I have searched the forums but the basics don't seem to be available.  Thanks in advance for any help.

The answer is basically no, Apple make their routers to work with Apple routers.. and all others are excluded from the club.
But do you know how many models Linksys make? Over the years it must come to several hundred. Apple make 3 routers.. so it is kind of easy.. and they all play nicely together. Linksys makes/made hundreds and they don't even work with each other let alone every other brand.
To work with Apple router it will need universal repeater mode.. this is almost never available in Linksys firmware. But third party firmware like dd-wrt will sometimes work.
Check the listing if your model linksys works. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices
Overall though universal repeater is not the best way to do things. It is not particularly stable or fast because all packets are double handled.. being received and retransmitted.. halves the speed.
So the easy way to fix the problem is another apple router.. it will slot in without any hassles and extend wireless.
That is still slower than direct wireless, because it still double hops the wireless.
    So other solutions.
    1. Wire it.. even if you don't have another cable connection now.. to stream video ethernet is the winner hands down. Nothing else comes close.
    2. HomePlug or what we call EOP adapters. Send ethernet over power. These work better than wireless if you have same circuit or even via a fuse box.. they can be slow if the house uses breakers instead of fuses.. they require direct power point connection.. and single phase.. but if it does work, it is stable and doesn't drop out and change from day to day the way wireless does.
    3. If the Linksys was working ok and you could stream over wireless to the areas you needed it. Then clearly the TC is not the right product for you or it is in the wrong role. Put the Linksys back as the main router and bridge the TC to it.. so it no longer is main router, but simply another WAP and network switch.. It can still do TM backups fine.
    4. Alternatively setup the Linksys as a secondary WAP plugged into the TC by ethernet. It is good to space them a few feet apart.. so get a decent length ethernet patch cord and run the linksys in WAP mode if it has one.. or wan bypass if it doesn't. All wireless routers effectively can work as merely a WAP. (wireless access point) Set the IP address correctly .. for example plugged into a TC at default, set linksys to 10.0.1.250 and turn off dhcp. Plug LAN to LAN. Then you can set a fixed channel for wireless say 11, and leave the TC to use one of the other channels.
I can give more info if you need on setup of either of these.

  • Calculating fractions of hours from time date range

    Hello friends,
I'm using sql server 2008 r2 and I have a table called attendance with the following fields
    attendance_no    int
    attendance_date    date
    attendance_timein    time(7)
    attendance_timeout    time(7)
    emp_id    int
and another table called employee with the following fields
    emp_id int
    emp_name  varchar(50)
    emp_tel  varchar(50)
I need to calculate the total minutes worked as well as total hours worked for each employee with in a specified date range and I created the below query which working fine but it is not calculating the  fractions of hours, I mean when an employee works
for example 7 and half hours, its showing just 7 hours instead of 7.5 hours.
    SELECT a.attendance_date As 'Date',e.emp_id As 'ID',e.emp_name As 'Name',e.emp_tel As 'Telephone',left(a.attendance_timein,8)[Time in],left(a.attendance_timeout,8)[Time out],
       + CAST(DATEDIFF(second, attendance_timein, attendance_timeout) / 60 AS NVARCHAR(50)) As 'Total minutes',
       CAST(DATEDIFF(second,attendance_timein,attendance_timeout) / 60 /60 % 60 AS NVARCHAR(50)) As 'Total hours'
        from attendance a join employee e on e.emp_id=a.emp_id and a.attendance_date between '2014-11-06' and '2014-11-08'  and e.emp_tel='65098009'
I would appreciate any help about this.
    Thanks in advance
    Mohamoud

If I understand correctly, according to
Mohamoud's data sample, there is already Total minutes in the input (the above
    table Mohamoud posted)
and all he need is a simple convert to decimal and the divided by 60.
    select [Total minutes] / 60.c
    Mohamoud,
    is that correct?
The result show that you might need some rounding. for example 31/60 is 0.516666 while you show us 0.5
Please clarify if you need rounding and how many characters after the dot you need (this can be done using declaring decimal(x,y), converting, or multipla and using floor function, etc')

  • Time Capsule Range?

Suddenly after a year my TC 500GB router will not extend range into my basement. 7:43pm, full strength in the basement, then 7:44pm no bars. No clue why. Have done a soft and hard reset and reset the router settings.
Any help? I was thinking of using an Airport Express to extend the range, but if my laptop can't pickup the router downstairs, how will the Airport Express pick it up?

If you did decide to use an AirPort Express (AX) to extend the range, you would need to place it in a location somewhere closer to the Time Capsule where it would continually receive a good signal.

  • Airport Express extending Time Capsule Range

I have a fairly old Airport Express. 2-3 years old. Does this mean its not possible to extend the range on my Time Capsule running as main wireless? I just want to extend the range, but tried to join the network my Time Capsule was running (while backing up my Macbook Pro).
I'm wondering, was it unable to join because my Time Capsule was currently backing up files? Or is it unable to do so because of the 802.11n (or lack thereof).
Hope this makes some sense. Thanks

You can extend the wireless range of the Time Capsule (TC) with the older 802.11g AirPort base stations in a configuration known as a Wireless Distribution System (WDS). However, note that the new combined network will only operate in the 802.11g radio mode.
Here are the basic steps in configuring a WDS with these two devices:
(Note: To facilitate the WDS set up, place the base stations within near proximity of each other during the set up phase, and then relocate them to their desired locations when complete. Also, jot down the AirPort IDs for each of the base stations to be used in the WDS.)
o Perform a "hard" reset on the Time Capsule (TC) and a "factory default" reset on the 802.11b/g AirPort Express Base Station (AX).
Main Base Station Setup - TC
o Click the AirPort status menu in the menu bar and choose the wireless network created by the TC.
    o Open AirPort Utility.
o Select the TC, and then, choose Manual Setup from the Base
    Station menu.
o Click Wireless in the toolbar, and then choose “Participate in a WDS network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu.
o Click WDS and then choose “WDS main” from the WDS Mode pop-up menu.
o Select the “Allow wireless clients” checkbox if you want client computer to connect to this base station.
o Click the Add "+" button and enter the AirPort ID of the AX.
o Click Update to send the new settings to the base stations in the WDS.
Remote Base Station Setup - AX
o Click the AirPort status menu in the menu bar and choose the wireless network created by the AX.
    o Open AirPort Utility.
o Select the AX, and then, choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu.
o Click AirPort in the toolbar and click Wireless. Choose “Participate in a WDS network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and choose the same channel as the main base station from the Channel pop-up menu.
o Click WDS and choose “WDS remote” from the pop-up menu.
o Enter the AirPort ID of the main base station in the WDS Main field.
o Click Update to transfer the settings to the base station.

  • What is the best way to extend time capsule range?

    Hello there:
I was wondering what kind of set up do people have in their house to ensure a good coverage all around the house? I've tried several options and none seems to work correctly. I've tried Time capsule + airport base, I've tried two time capsules, but didn't get too far.
    Thoughts?

Do you get good coverage all around your house? how big is your house?
The size of the house is not really the issue nearly as much as the obstructions in the signal path. For example, a wireless signal will easily travel 100 feet with no obstructions slowing down the signal.
A "typical" wall of sheetrock and 2 x 4s in a home will on average, absorb about 15-20% of the signal. So, with 3-4 walls in the signal path, it is not hard to understand why a signal will likely be much weaker at the other end of the house, or at the point where you add an "extending" device.
A ceiling is usually about twice the thickness of an average wall or more, so you'll have to take that into account as well if you have multiple stories.
The "extending" device can only repeat the signal that it receives, so if it gets a weak signal, it "extends" a weak signal.
The "best" way to extend is connect the two wireless devices using an Ethernet cable, which may not be easy depending on the construction of the home, but it is by far, the "best" way to provide more wireless coverage to remote areas that need it.

  • Airport extreme to extend time capsule range - performance degradation

I have a time capsule - had no wireless coverage on my patio. Installed an extreme base station as an extender and the good news is I now have coverage on my patio. Bad news is the performance in my office went from good to bad. Office had thruput of 5Mb per sec before installing the extender to around 300Kb per second after installing the extreme base station as an extender. When I unplug the extreme base station performance in the office goes back to good - 5Mb per second. Of course when I unplug extreme base station I lose coverage on the patio. I thought the network on my mac book pro would pick the transmitter with the strongest signal. When moving to the office I would restart the MACbook PRO to make sure it wasn't still using the same transmitter as when I moved to patio to office. The workaround is to leave the extender unplugged unless I am on the patio - an ugly kludge. Any insight help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks for all your help and the explanations.
Not looking to beat a dead horse - everything is working to my satisfaction but but my head is spinning on some of this stuff.
Originally on the TC 'Radio Mode' was set to '802.11n (802.11b/g compatible)'.
I changed it to '802.11n only (5Ghz)'. That resolved my issues and I am very happy about that.
Per your post the iphone was not 802.11n capable and my poking around on GOOGLE seems to confirm that.
However, my iphone 3g looks like it is utilizing my wireless network. I see a fan icon vs. 3g icon. When I first take the iphone off sleep, the icon is 3g but it changes to the fan icon. I can confirm it is using my wireless network through an application. The app is IPOD keeper which syncs my passwords. It shows it is picking up an DHCP ip address and port number from my private wireless network. 192.168.2.xxx.
My wife has a first gen iphone and an Ipad - she is out of town and I can't test those devices. If the first gen iphone can't utilize the wireless network - no big deal - it's simply a phone for her. Hopefully the Ipad will work - that is a big deal for her.
I'm always trying to learn and appreciate your time and help.

  • Time Capsule Range Stinks

So I'm moving into a new apartment where my roommate currently has his first generation Time Capsule set up. The place isn't huge by any means (in downtown Seattle), but is two stories. The Time Capsule's network doesn't even reach downstairs (its set up in his room - and again this is a fairly small apt). Both upstairs and down stairs you can access a dozen of other networks from the building - so it seems like the Time Capsules should reach that far.
I updated the software and firmware, and that is all good to go. I tried the diffferent settings - 2.4ghz, 5 ghz, n only, n with b/g compatibility, etc, all no luck. Also tried switching the channel from Automatic to 5, thinking maybe there was interference. Any other tips? What can I try? I thought about adding an Airport Express on the stairs to extend the network, but that's another $100, and this really should work.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Results for a period of time (date range)

    Hi,
Could you please help me with the following:
    SELECT a.lot AS LotNumber, a.codeart AS ItemCode, sum(a.quantity), a.unit AS Unit, a.datetrace AS Dates FROM Production.pps_lotstraces a
    WHERE a.codeart LIKE '886%' OR a.codeart LIKE '997%') and (a.datetrace between to_date('20100105','YYYYMMDD') and sysdate)
    GROUP BY a.lot, a.codeart, a.unit, a.datetrace
    ORDER BY a.lot, a.datetrace
The only issue I have with this query is that when it is run I get following message
ORA-01861 - literal does not match format string. This is related to the fact that the date is stored as a string.
The query should look at the dates from the beginning of the year up to today which is a system date.
Could you please advise how this issue can be resolved?
Thank you in advance for your help

  • How would I increment by one each time a sensor's indicator reaches a specific value range?

    Hello -
In my Labview vi, I need to count the number of times a range of sensor values are reached. I am using the +1 incriment element but becuase the vi's loop is sampled so frequently, it continues to incriment because the loop starts over - and also because the sensor hasn't had a chance to change state yet. I need to just count when something is fully compressed and after the it is expanded, and again compressed - add one.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
Setu's answer was great, and I wanted to provide you with a simple VI showing an example of a state machine. This VI simply uses a boolean switch to change between the expansion and compression states (you would replace this with your code that indicates which state the process is in), and it adds one to the shift register value for each time that the compression occurs. (I added a half-second wait so that the effects can be seen slowly).
I hope this helps! Have a great day.

I always have my iCal sync with me.com and sync my iPhone with iCal.
Now I have to sync my iPhone with me.com directly to get correct information.
Could you please solve this problem?
I have to edit the event's time on either iPhone or me.com.

    Greetings,
iCal depends on the computer to tell it how to interpret time and ranges of time. If you change the time arrangement on the computer this can cause issues in iCal. It looks to me like you are using a non-standard time arrangement.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Language&Text > Formats > Region
This should NOT say "custom". If it does, choose the correct Region for your area of the world (or how you like the format to be).
Check out iCal and see if it is working.
    Hope that helps.

    Re:  text to columns error
You have four columns selected when you call text to columns, so ...
Replace the word "Selection" with Range("A1:A300") so it looks like...
      Range("A1:A300").TextToColumns Destination:=Range("A1"), DataType:=xlDelimited, _
The above is my guess as to what you want to work with; I didn't experiment with the rest of the code.
