Timestamp based auto-split

Does anyone know plugin that timestamp based auto-split images into folders?

Plugins can't move photos, so your odds are not good.
I mean, they could be moved on disk, then re-imported in Lightroom (at the new location), but they'd be new photos - edits intact, but edit history missing..
The old versions would then need to be deleted..
I mean #2, a plugin (or app) could use sql to modify a closed catalog, but that'd be the only way to do it "right" (without proper SDK support I mean), and I don't know of any such plugin or app.
I'd love to write such a plugin, and keep hoping for the support to be added to the SDK - fingers crossed..

  • How do I turn off auto split in iPhoto ?

How do I turn off auto split in iPhoto? I have about 8,000 old photos I would like to import but it splits them in to loads of events. Would just like to leave them in year folders.

First try, if importing a sample folder with two images with different days, more than a week apart, will import them as only one event on your mac and  the autosplit is behaving the same for you as for me.
May be I will have to do it folder by folder which will take for ever.
Would it be possible for you to join some of the folders before importing?
Or join your events in iPhoto after importing. Creating yearly events is fairly simple (tested in iPhoto 9.5.1)
Create a smart album for each year (File > New ) with the smart rule "Date is in the range ...."
Then select all photos in this smart album and use the command from the "events" menu "create event". This will collect all photos in a new yearly event.

  • Mapping-based message splits in PI7.0

We have developed an integration scenario on XI 3.0 that uses mapping-based message splits (1:n transformation without BPM). This is available since SP14 I think.
Now we want to upgrade to PI 7.0: Are mapping-based message splits a standard feature of PI 7.0 or do we need a certain SP as well?

    Hi,
It should be available with Pi 7.0 with default
And also compare the SP's and do finalization

  • Import auto split projects

    Hi,
Is it possible to use the auto split project options on import to include the date in the project name?
Effectively automatically making a project for each shooting day, with the date in the project name?
Whilst I can see it split the days into separate projects, I can't work out how to get the date of those photos into the project name.
    Cheers
    Darren

    Hi,
I couldn't find a way to do it automatically, so wrote a small script to sort a single project into multiple dated projects, and move each photo into that project.
Save the script below somewhere safe and select it on the A3 import dialog to run after import.
Create a blue folder at the library root called Shoebox.
When importing, don't autosplit, but import everything into a project called untitled project.
The script will run after import and sort as needed.
Works OK for me on my limited testing, but use at your own risk!
    Cheers

I never used LabView but need to generate a RS-233 serial output string that contains an IRIG timestamp based on a contact closure. Is LabView an appropriate tool to do this? How much does it cost to get started with the product?

Labview isn't cheap, but it would certainly allow you to build a program (set of vi's - virtual instruments) that would do what you describe. Where would the timecode information come from? Your vi, or program, would: Start up, initialize the serial port, loop until a trigger happened, read the timecode (from where?), output that timecode out the serial port in a loop until you pressed the stop button. There is a free evaluation of Labview software available from NI - the base product itself runs about $995.

  • Possible to auto-split captures @ 2gigs ?

Hi all - it used to be that iMovie would auto-split DV captures @ 2gigs. iMovie '09 doesn't do this, however I actually did not mind this 'feature', as I've had issues over the years with backup systems corrupting files > 2g.
Typically this should not happen, and the best solution is to religiously check back-ups to ensure they're not corrupt, but such is life, and wherever I can I split up files into 2g chunks.
is there any setting to allow this ? Alternately is the old version of iMovie 6.x still available for download ? I remember this being an option when they re-wrote iMovie a few years back ...
If this is not an option: is there some sort of automator solution to chop my files into 2G chunks post-capture ?
THanks for any insight you may be able to provide - Dave

    So.....
Is there a way to auto-split files on import to limit file size?
For those of us trying to archive old analog tapes, it is a pain in the a** to sit in front of the analog player and manually create clips as it imports to video. It would be a lot easier to let the 90 minute tape play, 'auto-split' into pre-set sized clips, and then edit the smaller files.
Right now I'm getting 12 to 16GB files of 1 to 2 hour movies. Then we get into issues of storage, etc.
The nuances of FAT32, drive capacities, etc are often lost on those of us who are 'just' casual users.
I've just put over 500GB of home movie files onto an external hard drive, and now I'm finding out that my iMovie files shouldn't be there. What a frig.

  • During import, how to auto split one project into multiple albums based on date?

I believe I've done enough aperture reserach to get all my terminology right, so here goes...
I've created a file structure within the aperture inspector the the tune of:
Year [folder], Type of event (Occasion, special occasion, holiday, vacation) [folder], Project (Wedding), Album (i.e. Day 1, Day 2 or Pre wedding week, event, honeymoon).
I also have entire months with 7 or 8 pictures each day, that are of the same type/project (random dog pictures) but are distinctly different days (albums - day in park, in bed at night, watching movie).
My question is, can I import one project with multiple albums already created based on the date they're taken.  As I can see it, all I can do is split individual projects automatically by date.  But what if one project is over one month, but has multiple distinct days that would be ideal for albums?  One more example.  We did a trip to San Fran.  One day was touring the city, one day was a concert, another day was touring the city.  All one project, but 3 different albums (in my mind).  I had to import as one project, then separately go in and make albums.  I would like that done automatically.
My suspicion is that I can not natively do this within aperture, and that I would need something called an "applescript."  I haven't done any reserach into that area, so if that's the case and you know where I can find a script that would do this, I'd appreciate the help.
Sorry for the wordiness, just wanted to be clear.  Thanks for any and all help!

  • Process order based on split valuation

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where the same HALB material in the plant can be of 3 different grades.
Accordingly, if I do a split valuation based on the 3 grades, how can I ensure that while creating a process order on the HALB, depending on the grade (and hence the valuation type) the system picks up the recipe from an available collection of 3 different recipes (for the 3 types)?
    Regards
    Sm.

    Hi
Just go to CT04 and creat three characterstics with grade 1,2 & 3 or as u wish. You can give single value to identify the grade say 1,2,3
go to CL02 and creat class using material class as class type .
Assign these three characteristics to this class
go to mm01 and type the halb and extend the classifcation view
specify the class that is created.
go to bom and in the HALB  line item delete it. and create new line item using  k as item category and save the bom
now when you creat configuration profile using cu40 and make sure you can use it in production
after this try creating a production order the system will prompt for characteristics use your grade and proceed for production

  • Auto-Splitting by Bookmark

    Hello--
I work at a mortgage company.  Our imaging system's preferred format is tiff.  We receive loan closing documents in a PDF that has been bookmarked by document.  So, while the PDF itself might be 500 pages long, there are bookmarks where each document (note, mortgage, loan application) begins.
Does Adobe itself or via a plug-in have the ability to split a bookmarked document into those constituent parts, name them correctly, and save them as tiff?  Or if not the save-to tiff part, can it at least break it up into a series of correctly named DPFs?
And, can it do it in a batch process where it processes 100 files?

Yes, Acrobat has the ability to split a PDF apart based on top-level bookmarks and if your bookmarks are the name that you want your filename to be then you're really in luck. The Split command is located under the Pages panel in Acrobat XI and can be applied on multiple PDFs.
Under the Output Options button you can set the bookmark name for the filename.
Once you have a folder of split PDFs, you can then use an Action to convert the PDFs to TIFF.

  • How to use timestamp based dynamic message selector?

Is it possible with message selector to issue query like statement that
weill fetch any messages that have header timestamp older than "now" + 3 hrs.
In SQL you would say something like:
    where timestamp <= sysdate + (180/1440)
    Please let ne know.
    Thank you,
    Edmon

    hi edmon,
to my knowledge dynamically evalutaed expressions like this are not supported by any of the JMS vendors. messageselectors are in SQL92 format and the only dynamic part in them is the contents of the message properties and headers.
So, you're out of luck with what you want to do (e.g., remove expired messages from a destination when they havent' been consumed within a time threshold??) but i could see two possible solutions:
    1) You could use time-to-live (TTL) on the sender side. Messages that are on the destination beyond their TTL would be placed onto a dead message queue (DMQ) from where you could consume them for further processing. DMQ is not a standard-JMS feature but supported by a few vendorrs (e.g., JBoss, ArjunaMS).
    2) You could use Message-driven Services (MDS) for more elaborate server-side message processing. MDS has been pioneered by ArjunaMS but is also available with a few other JMS vendors.
    Hope that helps!
    Kind regards,
    Thomas.
