[TLD] problem when analysing "next-struts.tld"
Hi,
I need to deploy a big enterprise archive into OC4J, all is deployed but a problem persist. We have a TLD file for our costum tags and OC4J can't use it, I don't know why.
So, here is the problem:
2007-05-03 14:06:36.821 WARNING J2EE JSP-0003 Journalisation de cache TLD JSP :
2007-05-03 14:06:36.841 WARNING J2EE JSP-0027 Erreurs d'analyse de file:/C:/oc4j_extended_101310/j2ee/home/applications/next/carto72/WEB-INF/next-struts.tld
(in english: error analysing next-struts.tld)
So, because I get that error, when I access to the web-module "carto72", I get an other error:
500 Internal Server Error
OracleJSP : oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException: /index.jsp: Ligne n° 6, <%@ taglib uri="http://www.star.be/next" prefix="next" %>
Erreur : "http://www.star.be/next" is not a registered TLD namespace.
I past for you the start of the "next-struts.tld" file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
<!DOCTYPE taglib
PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD JSP Tag Library 1.2//EN"

<attribute>

</attribute>
</tag>
[a lot of tags]
</taglib>
I've tried to validate it with Eclipse, but it seem to be correct, and he is working into JBoss.
So, what's wrong with that TLD file ??? Can anyone help me please ?
Please note that :
When I stop and restart OC4J, the error on TLD file gone when deploying, but still here because, same error when accessing my JSP (using module "carto72")...

A strange problem when uploading a file in Struts
When i upload a file, the other elements in the form of the jsp cannot be got by the ActionForm, instead, the getters show that they are "null"s. But when i upload no file, everthing is ok.
Moreover, the problem happens when i update an article which can have an picture with it, but when i add a new article, the problem does not appear, instead, the file can be uploaded and other element can also be got.
i think i might be a problem of the volume of the request , because i put more information to update than to add.
Hope someboby can help me with the problem.When i upload a file, the other elements in the form of the jsp cannot be got by the ActionForm, instead, the getters show that they are "null"s. But when i upload no file, everthing is ok.

BW Analysis Authorization Problem when no selection is done
Hi Everybody,
I am facing the following problem with the implemented authorization concept.
We have marked 2 IOs as Authorization relevant: company and costcenter. We have defined an authorization object where the values are assigned through two variables $ZCompany and $ZCostcenter. The values are picked up from 2 Ztables where the User/Usergroup/Values assignement is done. Eveything seems to work fine.
We have a problem when using an optional variable built on Company or Costcenter in our queries and no selection is done.
If no selection is done, the variables ZCompay and ZCostcenter both are given values equals *. It si the same as every value. Since the user ZTESTUSER is authorized only for some comapnies and some costcenters, the match between the * selection and the authorization set is not sucessful and the user doesn´t get any authorization. this is what we can when executing the display error log:

Not Authorized
What i don´t really understand is why the user doesn´t get any authorization only for the values subset for which he is authorized for. Is that normal according to your experience?
How can we get rid of it obtaining that for such selection the user gets authorizations for the subset?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Enrico
Edited by: Dottblabla on May 3, 2010 12:13 PMHi,
thank you both for the answers.
Since the user is authorized for some certain values rappresenting a subset of * (all values) I dont really understand why he receives an error message as if he hasn´t any authorization at all. According to my logic, a partial dispaly of the data should be possible.. according to my logic, I repeat
Using a mandatory variable would force the user to give a value. The problem is that we have users who are authorized for a large number of costcenters. In this case the best solution would be to define the mandatory variable as a selection option, allowing the user to define intervals of values as well. BUT in this case we would have the same problem described above as soon as the user pick up an interval of values containing also single costcenters for which he has no authorization. I hope, it is clear what i mean.
Using an Authorization variable has the only charme that we get a kind of preselection of values. If the user wants to modify the selection and to define an interval, then we face the same issue again.
It seems to me that BW Authorization concept doesn´t work with "subset" of values. Am i right? Any suggestion?
Best regards

Problem when printing objective settings
Hello all,
I'm facing a problem with the printing of the objective setting. The smartform that a get displays wrong characters : '#' instead of ' ' '.
ex: people#s instead of people's.
It's not a smartform problem. This one receives text with '#'.
I checked the text with tr phap-catalog and it's stored correctly.
I don't know where I have to investigate.
Could anyone help me?
thanks a lot
KarimHi,
refere this OSS note matter. May resolve your issue.
OSSNote:960341
Symptom
In some device types (e.g HPLJ4, HPLJ5) you experience non-uniform character spacing in the PDF document after the PDF conversion of SAPscript or Smart Forms documents, using HELVE or TIMES fonts. You want to know the reason.
Other terms
CONVERT_OTF, SAPscript, Smart Forms
Reason and Prerequisites
The problem is not due to an error in the PDF converter but due to the fact, that the printer font, underlying the device type (e.g. Univers or CG Times in PCL-5 device types), is not available for the PDF converter and is either not available in Adobe Reader. The PDF converter has to try to simulate the layout of the printer font by means of a font which is predefined in Adobe Reader. This is done by assigning the letter widths of the printer font to the font used in Adobe Reader.
The PDF file contains a table with letter widths, used by Adobe Reader in the output of text, for each used printer font (except PostScript fonts).
Example:
%Charwidth values from HP4300 HELVE 060 normal
/Widths
[ 278 333 500 633 633 1000 758 333 333 333 633...
Adobe reader converts this width table, by modifying the space between each character, so that the specified letter width (= space between the current and the next letter) is kept.
This 'Simulation' of printer fonts results in the sometimes visible irregular spaces in PDF.
The PDF converter always uses the Helvetica Adobe PostScript font for the display of HELVE and the Times Roman Adobe PostScript font for the display of TIMES. However, for these Adobe PostScript fonts, Adobe Reader often uses a Windows TrueType font, which differs slightly from the original PostScript font.
Solution
Workaround: Use the POST2 PostScript device type or the PDF1 PDF device type for the PDF conversion of documents in the Latin-1 character set. They both use the Adobe PostScript fonts Helvetica or Times Roman for the HELVE/TIMES printer fonts.

Symptom
Documents printed via SAPscript or SmartForms do not print with correct special characters, e.g. ### prints instead of Japanese or Russian characters. What to do?
Other terms
SAPscript, SmartForms, printing, device types, OTF
Reason and Prerequisites
Help required to choose proper fonts in a SAPscript or SmartForm
Solution
When using SAPscript or SmartForms to print (or email or fax) a form from a business application, many factors influence the outcome of the actual text within the form. All these factors must be checked in order to ensure a correct printout:
1) The language version of the form used to produce the printout.
Example: If you want to print a French invoice, you need to have a FR version of your SAPscript or SmartForms invoice form RVINVOICE01. And the application program must specify the corresponding language key (FR) when calling the SAPscript or SmartForms API.
2) The font selections specified in the form (possibly also in a SAPscript style or SmartStyle used in a form).
Example: In a SAPscript form or a SmartStyle you need to specify HELVE if you want to print German text in Helvetica (or similar) font. If you want to print Japanese text, HELVE is not a valid choice but you need to specify a Japanese font like JPMINCHO in your Japanese form.
3) The output character set of the device type
Every printer in transaction SPAD has a "device type" assigned. Device types used by the spooler for printing support only one single specific output character set. All text from the form has to be converted (using SAP's built-in character conversion mechanism) to this output character set.
A character set can typically support either a single language (e.g. Shift-JIS which supports only Japanese) or a set of languages (e.g. ISO 8859-1, which supports Western-European languages). It is possible that a given language (such as German) can be supported by several output character sets, e.g. you may use either ISO 8895-1 (Latin-1) or ISO 8859-2 (Latin-2) to represent German text. This is so because both character sets contain the special characters used in German.
Example: HPLJ4000 is a HP LaserJet device type supporting the ISO 8859-1 (Latin-1) character set. ISO 8859-1 can be used to represent e.g. Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish but NOT Russian or Japanese.
As a consequence, it is ok to use HPLJ4000 to print English, German French etc. but not for Japanese or Russian.
4) The set of available printer fonts for a given device type
When formatting a document, SAPscript and SmartForms perform an automatic mapping of the font definitions in the form (e.g. "HELVE 14 point bold") and the available printer fonts of the device type. A replacement printer font is chosen, should the specified font selection not be available in the device type. Now this replacement can be problematic if a language-specific font, such as Chinese CNSONG, is specified in a form and it gets replaced by a font which does not support this language, e.g. COURIER.
To solve this problem, font families in SE73 have language attribute assigned, e.g. some fonts are characterized as being suitable only for certain languages. And when a replacement has to be chosen because the original font from the form is not available in the device type, a replacement font is chosen which has the same language attributes.
If no fonts for the language in question exist in the device type, the resulting font will not be able to print the special characters and you will see "wrong" output characters in the printout.
Note on SAPscript/SmartForms Print Preview:
The OTF Print Preview available in Windows GUI (e.g. from transaction SP01) will sometimes not show the "wrong" characters which appear on the final printout. Here is the reason: since the Print Preview runs in Windows environment, it will use Windows fonts to represent the actual printer fonts. A Windows font typically has more available characters (i.e. covers more character sets) than are actually available in a printer's resident font.
A typical example where the Print Preview will differ from the printout is here: if you have a Chinese PCL5 printer such as CNHPLJ4 and use the Western Latin font COURIER in your document, the print preview will show you Chinese characters if you (by accident) tried to format Chinese characters in COURIER font. This is because Windows will automatically choose a font that can output Chinese characters (which is actually not Courier). But when you print the job on an actual PCL5 printer with resident Western and Chinese fonts, the Courier font will not print any Chinese characters but Western special characters instead, because the printer's resident Courier font does not include Chinese characters.
Rule of thumb: all Asian device types (e.g. CNHPLJ4, JPHPLJ4, JPPOST, KPHPLJ4) support not only Asian fonts but also COURIER, HELVE and TIMES fonts. But these Latin fonts can only be used to print English text, not Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters.
Which fonts are suitable for a given language?
Language(s): Font family to use in a form:

DE,EN,FR,ES,NL,SV COURIER, HELVE, TIMES

Verify your output by examining the OTF data
When analysing printing problems of this type, be sure to check the OTF data which gets produced by SAPscript or SmartForms. OTF or "Output Text Format" is the intermediate page-description format generated from SAPscript or SmartForms. OTF will contain the final printer font names and character set/language identifiers which help to solve the problem. OTF will even name the form and the language of the form used to create the output.
The easiest way to do this is to create a spool request from your application, run transaction SP01, use menu
Goto->Display Requests->Settings
and choose
Display Mode: Raw
Now display your spool request. If this is a SAPscript or SmartForms spool request, you will see OTF data. Each line represents one OTF command, every command starts with a 2-character cmd identifier and possibly some cmd parameters follow.
Here is an excerpt from a sample OTF file where we highlight the most interesting commands:
//XHPLJ8000 0700 00000000001

The 1st line with the // (Control) command reveals the device type usedto print: HPLJ8000
//XHPLJ8000 0700 00000000001
The 2nd line (IN = Info command) shows the name and (internal 1-char)language key of the form:
IN04EALEXTEST_ZEBRA
In this case it is the English (E = EN) SmartForm ALEXTEST_ZEBRA
The OP-line (OP = Open Page) gives the page format used in the form, it is DINA4 Portrait orientation:
OPDINA4 P 144 240 1683811906000010000100001
The CP (CodePage) cmd shows the SAP system codepage used to code the text and the active language. In our case it is codepage 1100 and language E = EN = English.
CP11000000E
Finally, the FC-cmd (Font Call) lists a printer font selected within SmartForms. Please note that every SmartForm has a designated default SmartStyle under "Form Attributes->Output Options". In addition, every text node can have a SmartStyle attached (which will override the definitions from the default style for the text). In our case the resulting printer font that was selected is HELVE 12.0 pt bold-off, italic-off.

Firefox gets problems when 2,7 GB of memory is used by Firefox
Firefox gets problems when 2,7 GB of memory is used by Firefox. Or more. Like 2,8 GB.
It started when I read jpost.com with tens of tabs open. I don't remember how many. But I know there was more than 40.
On the tab I that I was reading, the page turned completely black. Pitch black with nothing else, not even the Firefox interface. It was actually a pitch black shape that looked like a web page in shape. The blackness quickly disappeared and the page was normally readable again. But then it happened again - the page turned black again.
The same page turns black happened again later.
One of my browsing sessions had Firefox slow down so much that you could see scrolling happening when I used scrolling.
Still another time I had 60 tabs open and Firefox worked completely fine without freezes, slowdowns, or black shapes. I could close Firefox by just pressing the red X in the title bar.
Yesterday, I had 50 tabs open and I experienced a slowdown when I looked at the Breaking News headlines. The headlines would show slower than usual. The Breaking News headlines at jpost.com show the headlines a few words at a time until the headline is completely shown. Then the headline disappears and the next starts showing a few words at a time. And speed in general was not what you normally have with a computer that has 8 GB of memory. And a Core i5 processor. I opened two more tabs from the Breaking News section I had opened. After I opened a new window, Firefox froze. I had to close Firefox from the Task Manager by pressing End process. I had used Firefox for 6 hours without ever closing any of the tabs I had opened.
In all of these cases, more than 40 tabs were open. In all of these cases, the slow down or freeze meant I had to use Task Manager and then press End process on the Processes tab. In all cases except the two I describe in the next paragraph, I never close any tabs after opening them. No problems have ever happened until Firefox started using 2,7 GB of memory. Until that point, everything is normal with no freezes or slowdowns.
At two times, I tried to reduce memory usage by closing tabs. However, in both cases this would make Firefox freeze. In one of these cases, Firefox would show something bizarre: there would be about 7 tabs, and one of the tabs would be partly shown. Also, Firefox would show the busy cursor. Firefox did not show how many tabs I actually had. The second time, I tried to close the tabs by clicking Close other tabs in the menu that you get when right-click a tab. The tabs would close fine, but I remember that I opened Gmail and then I did this: I clicked on the Promotions tab. Instead of seeing the tab with the Emails, Firefox showed a busy cursor and the title bar said not responding. Firefox froze.
The reason might be Adblock Plus memory usage. In Adblock Plus home page, developer Wladimir Palant writes in his blog about how Adblock Plus uses a lot of memory: https://adblockplus.org/blog/on-the-adblock-plus-memory-consumption .One more bit of information: I have a Geforce 640 GT graphics card. My graphics card drivers are old- version 311.41. The newest version of the drivers is 340.52. Would a new graphics card driver solve the problem?

How do i deactivate a device through icloud if the device is broken and i am unable to turn on find my iphone? Also i do not own a apple id as ive been using a family members due to problems when trying to make one?
Hey tyjox,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to deactivate Find My iPhone on a device that does not work. You will need to work with the family member of the account the iPhone is registered with. I would recommend that you use this article to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
iCloud: Remove your device from Find My iPhone
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2702
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account.All your content is erased and someone else can now activate the device.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a nice day,

Problem when writing a value to an enum
Hi together,
I'm facing a problem when using an enum in my state machine.
From time to time, the value (which represents the next state) which comes from the
shiftregister, is not stored correctly into my enumvariable.When I probe point "1",
a different value is shown than the variable "states" contains.
Does anybody has an idea? Thanks.

Clipboard-1.png 6 KBThere are other ways to get the string-value of an enum (format into string with a %s formatter for instance).
But I have no idea what you are seeing.
However I would not use the enum to string technique chose you have, just add the enum to the 'file' VI as an input.
And the =0 comparison you have is useless, add the enum to the case structure as the selector.

JTable sorting - problem when adding elements (complete code inside)
Im writing this email with reference to a recent posting here but this time with the code example. (I apologize for the duplicated posting this time it will be with the code)
Problem: when adding more elements to the JTable (sorted) the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException is thrown.
Example: If the elements in the table are 10 and then the user requests for 8 the table will produce the correct result. However, if the user will ask for 11 items (>10) the exception will be thrown.
The program: The program below (compiles and running). A JTable is constructed with 3 items, when you click the button - the return result should be 4 items - this will generate the error, WHY?
I would highly appreciate your thoughts why this is happening and most importantly how to fix it.
Thanks a lot

My problem - when syncing and error messages comes up: iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because an error occurred while margin data." I've tried turning the phone off and back on, & tried both USB ports but get the same thing. What can I do next since it doesn't give me even one clue as to what the error would be?
Before I started to resync calendars one by one as suggested in the troubleshooting article, I remembered something that came up in a sync when I first attempted : a 'which one do you want to keep' message about a repeating calendar event, which came up with three options, one from Calendar, and two from iCal on the phone. I deleted that event, then went through the calendar resync one by one, and all seems OK now.
In Music there is a way to find 'ghost' items that show up as grayed-out on the menus, so that you can try to reassociate or delete them. It would be nice to have a similar way to work with Calendar!
Thanks for pointing me to the right article. -
Problem when using About Operator in Contains Query
Hi,
I'm new to Oracle and this forums too. I have a problem when using about operator in contains query.
I create a table with some records and then create a context index on 'name' column.
CREATE TABLE my_items (
id NUMBER(10) NOT NULL,
name VARCHAR2(200) NOT NULL,
description VARCHAR2(4000) NOT NULL,
price NUMBER(7,2) NOT NULL
ALTER TABLE my_items ADD (
CONSTRAINT my_items_pk PRIMARY KEY (id)
CREATE SEQUENCE my_items_seq;
INSERT INTO my_items VALUES(my_items_seq.nextval, 'Car', 'Car description', 1);
INSERT INTO my_items VALUES(my_items_seq.nextval, 'Train', 'Train description', 2);
INSERT INTO my_items VALUES(my_items_seq.nextval, 'Japan', 'Japan description', 3);
INSERT INTO my_items VALUES(my_items_seq.nextval, 'China', 'China description', 4);
COMMIT;
EXEC ctx_ddl.create_preference('english_lexer','basic_lexer');
EXEC ctx_ddl.set_attribute('english_lexer','index_themes','yes');
EXEC ctx_ddl.set_attribute('english_lexer','theme_language','english');
CREATE INDEX my_items_name_idx ON my_items(name) INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT PARAMETERS('lexer english_lexer');
EXEC ctx_ddl.sync_index('my_items_name_idx');Then I perform contains query to retrieve record :
SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'Japan', 1) > 0;
COUNT(*)
1
SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'about(Japan)', 1) > 0;
COUNT(*)
1But the problem is when I using ABOUT operator like in Oracle's English Knowledge Base Category Hierarchy it return 0
SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'about(Asia)', 1) > 0;
COUNT(*)
0
SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'about(transportation)', 1) > 0;
COUNT(*)
0I can't figure out what 's wrong in my query or in my index.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Hieu Nguyen

You'd be best asking this question in the Oracle Text forum, here:

And by the way, it will help others to analyse if you put {noformat}{noformat} (lowercase code in curly brackets) before and after your code snippets.

Problem when trying to print standart invoice crystal report for SAP
Hi All, I have the following problem when trying to print a system invoice report in crystal reports for SAP
I pass params and load the report using this code
Private Sub DisplayThreadReportSeq()
Dim oView As New frmViewReport
Dim strReportPath As String = ""
Dim strParamName As String = ""
Try
Dim CR As New ReportDocument
CR.Load(oReport.CrstPath)
' Declare the parameter related objects.
SetReportValues(CR)
Dim crParameterDiscreteValue As ParameterDiscreteValue
Dim crParameterFieldDefinitions As ParameterFieldDefinitions
Dim crParameterFieldLocation As ParameterFieldDefinition
Dim crParameterValues As ParameterValues
' Get the report's parameters collection.
For Each oPar As cslParam In oReport.Params
crParameterFieldDefinitions = CR.DataDefinition.ParameterFields
crParameterFieldLocation = crParameterFieldDefinitions.Item(oPar.ParName)
crParameterValues = crParameterFieldLocation.CurrentValues
crParameterDiscreteValue = New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue
crParameterDiscreteValue.Value = oPar.Value
crParameterValues.Add(crParameterDiscreteValue)
crParameterFieldLocation.ApplyCurrentValues(crParameterValues)
Next
If pPrint Then
If oReport.Printer "" Then
CR.PrintOptions.PrinterName = oReport.Printer
End If
CR.PrintToPrinter(IIf(oReport.Copies = "", 1, oReport.Copies), False, 0, 0)
SBO_Application.StatusBar.SetText("Printed Document Successfully", SAPbouiCOM.BoMessageTime.bmt_Medium, SAPbouiCOM.BoStatusBarMessageType.smt_Success)
Else
oView.Text = pReport
oView.TopMost = True
oView.Viewer.ReportSource = CR
oView.Hide()
oView.ShowDialog()
End If
Catch ex As Exception
Util_GenErrorLog("DisplayReport", ex)
End Try
End Sub
This code works fine when the report invoke to print is developed in crystal reports version for .net 2008 or .net 2005
when trying to print a report standart getting from SAP BO 8.8.1 using this code I getting the following error:
Error in File C:UsersecombaAppDataLocalTemp5ARInvoiceStandartSap {300B9A68-DF05-4D7B-8F3B-1670A4493BEE}.rpt:
Error in formula .
'Shared numberVar SectionTotalMaxHeght;
A number, currency amount, boolean, date, time, date-time, or string is expected here.
This report is the standart report that SAP 8.8.1 includes and works fine on SAP.
I referenced this dlls CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll, CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Shared, version 10.2.3600
How I can get these dll´s version for Crystal Report 2008 for SAP Business one or How I can solve this problem
thanks in advance,
Ezequiel.Hi Ezequiel,
