To find out the number users that logged in to SAP in previous months

Hi !
Is theer any report or transaction in SAP that will or can tell us as to how many users had logged into SAP syatem say in the month of May or June . They want to know the total number of users that had logged in to SAP in previous months to to track the user information and how many users are not using the SAP or how many ppl using it to keep a track of teh user certificates that may be re-sed or just for information purpose also. Right now I have found a trabsction AL08 but that just gives information of present login , I would like to get it for previous months if possible.

Could somebody please tell me how to find out remotely over a LAN, whether a user is logged into a computer that is running windows XP/VISTA or not? How can this be programmatically done if we know the name of the remote machine?

Actually it seems that my question has either been misunderstood or has been badly phrased by me.
What I want to know precisely is the way to find out if a user is logged into a machine or not. Say for example in a LAN there are three computers called A, B and C. If my Java program is running on machine C, how can the program check whether a user is logged into machine A? Assuming JRE is present in all three machines, the machines have as their OS windows XP or VISTA and all machines are connected to a windows domain(Windows 2003 server based network)
The idea here is to identify all the computers in a network that users are not logged into and then to remotely shutdown those computers in order to minimize wastage of electricity(preferably after a particular time of the day in an organization).
Any replies would be much appreciated.

How to find out the number of threads created under java vm at runtime

our application seems to have hit the max number of threads that can be created under vm and the vm will just hang after that. that behavior seems to be consistent from an article that I read earlier.
I wonder any way that java app can find out the number of threads currently created under vm?

If you are not starting an extra thread group you can use the Thread.activeCount method. But this willnot return all the threads, as there are some jvm threads, i.e. garbage collector. Also if you are running on a Unix type operating system then you can send a signal to the jvm to give you a thread dump, i think the signal is sighup.
If the application is hanging i would of thought that you have a deadlock situation rather then the JVM not being able to create new threads, roughly how many threads should be running ??

To find out the last row that is updated in a View Object

Hi OAF Gurus,
I have requirement like,
I have to find out the last row that is updated on a particular View Object and I have send a mail to the users about the change.
JegSAMassMobVOImpl vo = getJegSAMassMobVO1();
JegSAMassMobVO is the View Object Name and it displays certain rows that has already been added to the VO in the Page.
Now the issue is when a user updates a particular row,I have to find which row gets updated and have to send a email to that particular employee about the change.
Just want to know,how to find out the last updated row in a particular VO.
Any Help would be appreciated as this a immediate requirement.

It shoud be a Advanced table ,so when user will update the row ,the specific row will fire the PPR and on that event u can capture the row using row reference ,this is the sample code below

You can use MQ's admin tools (imqcmd or imqadmin)
to find that out.
'imqcmd query dst -n queuename -t q' will print out what
you want.

Hi,
Goto RSA3 and run that master data extractor in D mode if you want to know the number of records in delta and in F mode if you want to know the Full volume. But make sure that you set data records/calls and the display extr calls numbers so that you get the total number of records.
The other option is goto the master data source table and look at the number of records in that table. That'll give you an idea of the total number of records in the table.
One other option is to goto RSA7 , select the delta datasource and hit the display button. You'll get to know the number of entries in the delta queue that way as well.

U mean u want to know at runtime?
Get the output from ur proxy as a string, count the number of "<" characters and divide it by 2. :-P
Of course, you'll have to treat the header fields separately.

How to erase the last user that logged on to BO ?

When you log on to Business Objects 6.5, the name of the last user that logged on is presented to you.
When logging in to BO, the userID of "ADBONDT" shows at the PC of user "DLECOIN". User DLECOIN is therefore convinced that user ADBONDT sneaks into the office at night and uses his PC to connect to Business Objects. Which is nonsense, user ADBONDT has her own computer, own office, own login... Of course, at some point in the past, ADBONDT may have used the PC and the logon name is probably stored in a file or setting somewhere...
So my question is how I can erase the "last logon" in Business Objects? Where are the logon names stored? In the Windows registry? In a file? In the repository?
This issue is NOT blocking, but the user (a highly placed manager) demands that it gets solved.
All help appreciated...

Found it! The last login is stored in the "BOMAINV6.LSI" file on the PC, which is usually in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\WINLOGON\Application Data\Business Objects\Business Objects 6.0\lsi
If you delete the lsi file, then a new file gets created automatically, and the problem disappears....
