  • In Pages I used to be able to edit a template and "save a version" to update the template. Now i have to rename the template to save the changes. Why is this happening? what happen to "save a version"? its no longer an option under "file".

In Pages, In the past, I was able to edit a template and "save a version" to update the template. Now i have to rename the template to save the changes. Why is this happening? what happen to "save a version"? its no longer an option under "file". And I can no longer open the actual template, when template is clicked, it automaticaly opens an "untitled" version???

In your description you say the first document opens as the Title you gave it.
Templates always open as Untitled so it sounds like you have saved a regular document, perhaps into your templates folder which is possible.
Since you have already worked on it and it has been previously saved, Lion will now Save for you and Save a Version is available
The other document does open as Untitled so sounds like a real template and as Peggy has pointed out will not have either Revert nor Save a Version until you Save it and have changed something in it.
This is a classic example of just how Apple's supposedly "simplification" of the process, is leading to confusion of what has happened. That the conditions and resulting actions from those conditions is so convoluted says it all.
It all reminds me of the Monty Python Life of Brian sketch with the "simplified" John Cleese instructions to the class, as to if you have a brother in an older dorm whether to hang your hat and bag on the hooks provided. The trouble is Apple does not get the joke, that it is transforming itself into a frequently self contradictory bumbling bureacracy. The price of unchallenged self appointed geniushood.
The incoherent half baked stumbling juggernaut has reached new triumphs with its edict on enforced Sandboxing on developers when it is unable to follow even its own instructions.

  • HT5527 I have had my storage reduced once already.  In the process they removed my "Save" mailbox and all its contents.  I do notcare about contents so much as starting a new Save box.  How?  (OS X 10.7.5)

My iCloud storage is being reduced.  I have already had it reduced once.  In the process they removed my "Save" mailbox and all its contents.  (One would think that that would be the last thing they removed.  But they took that and the "Trash" mailbox, yet left several thousand old and read messages which were in my "Inbox".)  I do not expect to get the "Save" contents back, but I would like to restore the "Save" mailbox, so that I can start from scratch saving msgs in it again.  But I cannot figure out how to do that.  When I go to "Mailbox" on the top line (between View and Message) and select New Mailbox I get a dialog box in which I can name a new mailbox.  When I type Save, for the name of the new Mailbox I get a response; "The mailbox 'Save" already exists."  But I cannot find it.
    Thanks,  Bill Burner

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Toshiba Power saver may be the problem

    My Satellite A665-S6050 has had all of the symptoms you read about in these forums;
crash, freeze, hung, locked, BSOD, Windows crash errors, etc.
I bought the laptop new a couple years ago and both love it and hate it when it exhibits
its freezing behavior. This is the intel I-3, 4 GB ram, Windows 7(64 bit) version. Really nice
    when it's running normally.
I have watched and read through hundreds of posts throughout these forums since my purchase.
I have never sent the laptop back to Toshiba. Primarily because I've been able to force power off
then on, go to safe mode, schedule a disk scan on the next power up, reboots normally and I'm good
    for who knows how long.
Following suggestions you can read in these forums, I have upgraded the Intel HD graphics display driver.
I install Windows updates every time they come available(auto update is enabled). I've updated the
Toshiba bios. I've updated Firefox every time it is available(my favorite browser). Updated java and
flash(again automatic updates). Some user settings that I've changed; I've disabled sleep mode(set it
to 'never' under 'advanced power settings) in every power scheme I have. I only use 'High Performance'
power scheme(plan). I have the setting for turning off the hard drive set to 'never'. My rational for doing
this is there is just too much going on under Windows 7, all the time. You never know what's running in the
background. Many times as the laptop freezes and or Windows tries it's best to recover, I get a strong feeling
that the hard drive has shut off! Especially, when Windows is trying to save a dump but can't because it can't
access hd0(hard drive)(I have to force power cycle off/on to recover).
This brings me to my current state of this troubleshooting saga. The last time the laptop froze, I was watching
streaming video in one Firefox window and had a slide show playing in another Firefox window(2 windows, not
2 tabs). Then in the lower right corner I get the Toshiba power saver notification that it is shutting down the
optical drive. It goes away on it's own in about 10 seconds. But immediately everything gets real slow until every
freezes. Windows tries to save a dump but can't. Windows tries to reboot itself but can't. Shows me a screen to
modify the boot list because the hd0 is not available. So, as so many times before I have to hold the power
button down for force power off. Wait a few, then power on, do my thing with safe mode, check disk, etc.
Power up and boots normally. Runs great for who knows how long. Right now as I type this, I have a audio CD
in my optical drive with Windows Media player set to 'replay' continuously. This I hope will prevent the 'Toshiba
power saver' from getting triggered because the optical drive is not idle and therefore won't shut off the hard
drive too! I have no idea how I can prove that 'Toshiba Power saver' is causing these freezes, crashes, lock ups,
etc. But at least if I can keep the optical drive in use and therefore prevent the 'power saver' from kicking in
maybe I can eliminate that as a possible cause of the freezes.
I am really disappointed to read so many Toshiba owners sending their computers to Toshiba service
hoping and praying for resolution but getting no satisfaction in the end. I love my Toshiba and I'll keep it.
I am a recreational user. Don't need to save power. When I use my computer, I want it to function as
powerful as possible until I intentionally perform a normal Windows shutdown.
My employer supplies me with a laptop (different brand). It has Intel I-5 chip, 3 GB ram Win XP Pro..
I run that computer full speed 9 -10 hours a day and I may have to reboot maybe once every other week.
Not bad considering the abuse I put it through. I would hate to have to rely on this Toshiba for work. I
don't think it could stay fully operational for that period of time.
Please Toshiba, tell me how I can help with the troubleshooting of this seriously pervasive problem on
so many of your computers. Is there an event log I can provide? Windows dump files(when they do get
saved)?  Help me help you resolve this problem and satisfy hundreds of your customers.
Thank you in advance for your time.
    Doug

    Jerry,
It happened again this afternoon. This is the first time my system froze since the last time
I reported here in the forum. And just like I reported earlier, Toshiba Power Saver turned off
the optical drive power, I saw the pop-up in the lower right corner to notify me of the event.
I had Toshiba 'PC Health Monitor' running and minimized. I clicked on the icon to restore it
to the desktop. It displayed as expected. The hard drive graphic looked normal and spinning
as usual. I clicked on the graphic of the spinning hard drive and expected 'Power Options' to
display. Instead my desktop went away(all icons, system tray, system notification area, launch
pad, etc), everything gone. The graphic of the spinning hard drive stopped spinning. I tried a
    CTL+ALT+DEL and got a new pop-up from Windows that it couldn't respond and I had 2 options;
press ESC or hold the power button down to force power and a shutdown. Which is what I eventually
    did.
Powered up, went to safe mode, scheduled disk check on the next restart. Disk check runs and
finds no problem. System runs normally again.
As far as finding these events in the Windows logs using 'Event viewer', is not going to help.
I know exactly what time this all took place. I just can't find any event log showing that it took
place. There's a small gap in the time stamps just before the event until a few minutes after the
event. Then I see a mixture of 'errors' and 'information' events after the power on and restart
but nothing specifically addressing the hard drive before the restart.
I see an event log; "Previous shutdown was not expected". I'm sure that's not what your asking
to see.  I don't know if it would be possible to trace the 'Toshiba Power Saver' but that may be
the only way I could prove my point that it is shutting off power to both the optical drive and
the hard drive at the same time.
Is there a way to disable or remove Toshiba Power Saver without causing a more serious problem?
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.
    Doug.

  • 'save as' redownloads the data

everbody notice how if you dont cow-down to the mods here, and pretend to worship there replys the threads get locked. Has anybody figured out how to fix the dl issues yet.
    The question i posted
you cannot right click save as on an image, after the image has been dl already to save it FF re-downloads the image again. Noone can produce a config setting that corrects that. so if your paying for data FF is causing you to pay double.
while something is DL most of the time the dl stalls. You now cannot pause and resume a dl to get it going again, the old Dl dialogue box had a pause function, the new one 'right-click' shows a pause but its grayed out and does not function
FF cannot handle multiple tabs anymore, if you open multiple tabs it freezes FF and you get a slow script error. But the same tabs can be opened in an old version of IE 7,
the repeated crashes are well known without a fix,
the new version seems to have numerous bugs without fixes, or explanations that you need some add-on instead of a FF function.
the mere fact that FF cause double data usage without a fix or explanation is beyond inexcusable. Payinf for double data because of a code error is unbelievable. test i opened IE went to a pg open 3 tabs saved the images, and did the same in FF and it used 3.23 times more data.
Every since that Tor / FF debacle when the old versions were declared no good every version of FF since then has had to many errors without fixes that it has became an industry joke. The fact that chrome and IE or better browsers now speaks volumes. I am no code writer, but since that time, every version is so slow and bug prone, that what ever attempt to say face or redemption has been a disaster.
    this is the reply
    To answer your questions here:
you cannot right click save as on an image, after the image has been dl already to save it FF re-downloads the image again. Noone can produce a config setting that corrects that. so if your paying for data FF is causing you to pay double.
I'm not sure I understand this. When I click save image as then try again it works fine for me. Can you clarify what you are trying to achieve?
while something is DL most of the time the dl stalls. You now cannot pause and resume a dl to get it going again, the old Dl dialogue box had a pause function, the new one 'right-click' shows a pause but its grayed out and does not function
It is better to use an external Download Manager (DM) if you are on dialup or have an unreliable connection. An external Download Manager offers better support for resuming interrupted downloads than the built-in Firefox DM.
You can use the FlashGot extension to integrate an external Download Manager in Firefox. FlashGot: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/flashgot/
FF cannot handle multiple tabs anymore, if you open multiple tabs it freezes FF and you get a slow script error. But the same tabs can be opened in an old version of IE 7,
This is most likely the way Firefox is set up on your end. What add-ons are you running since I don't see any listed. I need some more non-personal information from you. Please do the following:
Click the Firefox button at the top left, then click the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information from the submenu. If you don't have a Firefox button, click the Help menu at the top and select Troubleshooting Information from the menu.
Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
At the top of the page, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.
Now, go back to your forum post and click inside the reply box. Press Ctrl+V to paste all the information you copied into the forum post.
If you need further information about the Troubleshooting information page, please read the article Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.
the new version seems to have numerous bugs without fixes, or explanations that you need some add-on instead of a FF function.
I see you have Fx 26 installed and not the latest 27.0.1. See what's new with Firefox in version 27.0.1 http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/27.0.1/releasenotes/
the mere fact that FF cause double data usage without a fix or explanation is beyond inexcusable. Payinf for double data because of a code error is unbelievable. test i opened IE went to a pg open 3 tabs saved the images, and did the same in FF and it used 3.23 times more data.
Double data usage? Are you talking about a smart phone data limit or your RAM usage?
    then i got this,
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
    See "Creating a profile":
    https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
So i replied and they locked the thread, so no answer but theirs could be shown, and shown it didnt work. the fact they did not understand the issue of save as re-dling from the web instead of saving from cache is inexcusable
    This is the reply
It is not brain surgery, the post speaks for itself.
if you are on a website and open an image in a new tab to save it, ff dl's it to cache so you can view it in that tab. if you right click to save it "save image as" ff re-downloads the image a second time, it DOES NOT save it from the already downloaded cache version of it.
That is double the data usage to get a single image. if it is a 2 mb image, ff uses 2mb to open the tab and view in tab, and then uses another 2 mb to re-save the image. IT DID NOT USE TO DO THAT ON THE OLD VERSIONS. and 27 does it too.
No if your internet plan charges you by the mb or gb your wasting data charges on duplicate data, because of a FF code problem.
as for the numerous bugs, read the forum, and just like your answer instead of a fix, YOU suggest you use an add-on or other software instead of fixing the issue or default config problem.
No-one should have to use a dl manager just because FF wont fix its dl problems. That is the biggest issue these days is the excuses and workarounds instead of fixes.
The older FF all had a pause and resume option so even if the off chance it stalled you could stop and start it. now you cant, the pause button is visible but grayed out. (that is on ever persons ff I have seen) home work, friends, not just mine. and there are numerous hits about that on web searches.
The ff browser is the software that reads the script, all the new versions have repeated slow script warnings when the browser stalls. that is a browser issue, not a computer, or setting, or website error. FF the browser is reading the script, and the slow script error is a FF issue, with no fix.
then you try and say to upgrade again to 27 from 26. The whole issue and problem is FF instead of fixing the bugs just claims upgrade. that's fine but 27 has the same bugs as 26, but FF wont fix a "bug' under 26 so every bug up to that point that has been reported is ignored. FF will only address bugs under 27, but the code for 27 is 99.8% of 26, but all the bugs from 26 and earlier version that are migrated into 27 have to be reported individually AGAIN, and new bug reports made, but by that time there will be a 28 and again nothing will be fixed.
you cant just throw out a new version every 3 days and ignore the old bugs and not fix them.
FF is just becoming useless, you sure cant dl with it, pics, files, etc. no dl will complete. god help you if you have to dl a zip file.
As for the settings, just an excuse. So to prove it, before replying I remove all add ons, reset to default, FF will not dl a 30 mb file. but on the same connection IE did it in under 13 seconds, and chrome 24 seconds. FF failed to complete 3 different times and stalled to the point it froze the browser the final try.
That is not any other issue but the browser software and code.
How much more simplier do they want it explained. the issue with them is they did not have an answer, so they lock the thread to keep you from replyimg. Note: that i reset all the defaults and cleared all the addon thus a brand new profile not to mention the new reinstall.
    then this
No need to personalize your comments here. We get it - you aren't happy with the Mozilla developers and with Firefox, but there is no need to take it out on the support volunteers.

  • My Illustrator CC, is taking too much time to save my files (the files are not necessarily big).

It´s been I while since my Illustrator CC started having problems to save files. Even the smalest ones, whenever a hit the save command, (or save as, or save a copy) it takes forever to save my file, whether its an .ai file or .pdf. (export, and save for web are working just fine)
I´ve tried to change, scratch disk, settings, Adobe creative Cloud settings, even reinstalling my illustrator, but nothing seems to work.
I use it Professionally, and it has been such a hassle to mange my schedule when every single change I do in my work takes me more than 1 hour to save.

And it's the local printer that is active in Illustrator?
Have you tried turning off ICC profile and/or PDF embedding and/or compression?
    Are those CMYK files?
In that case the color profile is not necessary anyway since you select color from printed samples and acording to the printing process anyway, don't you?

  • If the "unresponsive script" dialog box appears while another dialog box (e.g. a "Save As" box), the two dialog boxes lock each other out

FF 7.0.1 on MacOSX 10.6.8 (not this machine!)
While doing a "Save As", and while the "Save As" dialog box is showing, a second dialog box "unresponsive script" shows up. I can't deal with the "unresponsive script" box as it doesn't have focus, and I can't complete the "Save As" operation because its script has become unresponsive. I end up having to Force-Quit Firefox via the Activity Monitor.
    Any less brutal suggestions?

    figured it out:
    - power off mac and turn back on while holding down Command + R (dont do it on an external keyboard just to be safe)
    - choose the re-install Lion option (I'm sure there is another way to re-install Lion, this is just the way I did it, not saying its the best or only method)
    - DO NOT INSTALL MACBOOK (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 - THIS SCREWS ADOBE UP!

  • How do I prevent Firefox from locking up when I click on "Save As" under the "File" menu (resetting Firefox didn't solve the problem)?

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium OS on Dell XPS 420 system. Firefox locks up each time I click on "Save As" under the "File" menu. Resetting Firefox did NOT solve the problem. If, instead of using Firefox, I log on to a website using Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer, the "Save As" feature works fine, as it should. I would occasionally like to save a web page, using "Save As" while using Firefox, instead of copying the page to a Word Document, and then saving it.

    Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • How do I add "Save As" to the Pages drop down menu?

How do I add "Save As" to the Pages drop down menu?

It took me awhile but I found what I was looking for. This is posted at http://www.tuaw.com/2012/07/29/get-save-as-back-on-mountain-lions-file-menu-easi ly-and-without/
Option 1. Terminal.app If you are comfortable using Terminal.app, you can add a different keyboard shortcut this with one simple line. First, quit all your apps except Finder and Terminal. Then paste this command (as one line) into Terminal.app (and press Return):
    1
defaults write -globalDomain NSUserKeyEquivalents -dict-add 'Save As...' '@$S'
view rawdwrite-global-saveas.sh hosted with ❤ by GitHub
    That's it!
Launch TextEdit and open the 'File' menu and you should see "Save As..." back in its rightful spot with its original Command + Shift + S shortcut, as shown in the image above.
Aside: After you enter the 'defaults write' command, you will not see any confirmation that it was entered correctly. Terminal.app is a little terse sometimes. If you want to verify it from the command-line, enter this:
    defaults read -globalDomain NSUserKeyEquivalents
and look for "Save As..." = "@$s"; in the output.
Option 2. System Preferences.app If you would rather not use Terminal, it's still very easy to add the keyboard shortcut.
Launch the System Preferences.app, then open the "Keyboard" preference pane.
At the top you will see "Keyboard" and "Keyboard Shortcuts" – click "Keyboard Shortcuts" (labeled '1' below). Then in the list on the left side, click "Application Shortcuts" (labeled '2' below). Then click the "+" button (labeled '3' below):
Once you press that "+" button, a small window will appear asking you to enter the title of the menu item and the keyboard shortcut that you want to use.
Enter "Save As..." in the "Menu Title:" field, and then press the keyboard shortcut that you want to use. In the example below I pressed Command + Shift + S:
Note: It used to be true that you had to enter an actual ellipsis (which you can get by pressing Option+ ; on a US-English keyboard). However, when I tested this in Mac OS X 10.8.2, it worked with three consecutive periods.
Bonus Tip: Hide the "Duplicate" menu item.
In my original article I suggested that you also enter a keyboard shortcut for "Duplicate" and while youcan do that if you wish, you do not need to do that.
However, if you would like to hide the Duplicate menu item, you can do that. There are two steps: first, remap "Save As..." to Command + Shift + S (as shown above). Then the 'trick' is to remap "Duplicate" to Command + Shift + Option + S.
What you will have done is swap the keyboard shortcuts for "Duplicate" and "Save As..." which means that OS X will make "Duplicate" the optional command. If you open the "File" menu and hold down "Option" the "Save As..." command will change to "Duplicate"
(Thanks to TUAW reader 'rbascuas' for pointing this out in response to the original article!)
Important Addendum: "Keep changes in original document"
As we reported in August 2012, the "Save As..." command in early versions of 10.8 had an unexpected and likely unwanted side effect in Mountain Lion: it would save the changes in the new document (created by "Save As...") but would also save the changes to the original document.
However, Apple realized that users might not want that behavior, so in Mac OS X 10.8.2 they added an option "Keep changes in original document" which you can see here:
Option A: If you want to save the changes you've made in the document and then save the document with a different name, then make sure that the box is checked.
Option B: If you want your original document to stay as it was when you last saved it and create a new document based on the modified content of that document, then make sure that box is not checked.
If you do not see the 'Keep changes in original document' box, then the application is probablygoing to give you the "Option B" behavior, but if you are not sure, I would suggest choosing Cancel in the "Save" dialog, then copy and paste the contents of the document into a new file, and save the new file. I know that's several extra-and-less-convenient steps, but if you are worried about preserving the original document, better safe than sorry.
You could also save the file, duplicate it in Finder, and rename the new instance. Open old file and revert to previous save using 'Versions'.
Frankly,I wish that Apple had just left the "Save As..." command alone, but for some reason they didn't ask my opinion. That said, I'm glad that they brought it back in Mountain Lion. I would have paid $20 for that feature alone.
Note: This article was re-written and republished on 2013–02–21. The original process still works, but I wanted to update it to reflect some additional information.

  • How do I save photos on the Internet to my ipad?

All I want to do would be the equivalent of right click save to my pictures on. Facebook and put them onto iPad to edit them using a app. The closest I can get to this seems to be having the link for the picture saved to my desktop, but this isn't what I need. Can anybody help? Thanks

Many images from the web can be saved to the iPad's camera roll by tapping and holding on the image itself. A dialog box pops up with "Save Image" as one of the options.
Facebook handles some images slightly differently, since it's trying to respect its users' privacy preferences. If the tap and hold trick doesn't work, the image may have a "Download" link beneath it and to the right. If you tap the "Download" link, you'll then see a bare version of the image in Safari. You can then tap and hold *that* image to save it to the iPad's camera roll.
If there's no "Download" link either, it means the user has set up their privacy settings such that you can't download the image. At that point your only workaround would be to snap a screenshot by clicking the home and power buttons simultaenously. That saves the current screen to the camera roll.

  • I'm going to save my old Hi8 tapes on a hard disk using final cut pro x, to save it for the future. But how shall I export it, and in what will be the best quality to save it in?

I'm going to save my old Hi8 tapes on a hard disk using final cut pro x, to save it for the future. But how shall I export it, and in what will be the best quality to save it in?

Hi Carsten...good luck with your project.. I had just about as many Video8 & Hi8 tapes as
you that I digitized and eventually brought into FCPX..took me many months not weeks
to do so,BTW, as each tape was 60-90 minutes in lenght...and many hundreds of
gigab ytes of storage ( uncompressed AVI files)..it's tedious work unless you plan to farm
it out to a processing house...also regarding eventual storage format...remember
Hi8 is 400 lines or about 540X480 in todays resoultion metrics..you can't make hi-def out
of source that starts out as 400 lines...in my case I rewrapped the avi files into .mov
containers and imported the mov files into FCPX where I got rid of the hundreds of
minutes of Colorado mountain landscapes to get to that one minute shot of the kids
on horseback  ( late 80's for most of my archives)..so its a job..scouring thru 30X90 min
of source to not miss those precious memories takes diligence and hard work but its worth
it; eventually I encode the uncompressed video I want to save in H.264 format Staandard
    Def not HiDef

  • To Save in Lookout the State file from the application

I need that the program loads the variable values when start up like when it was written or designed. Also, I need that a autotuning process in the application loads and saves by program the values found for 4 valuables, so when the application is started up again, will hold the result of the last autotuning and all the rest like when was written the application. I think to save the State File aafter the autotuning can be a way.
    How get this? Other ways?

JTJams is absolutely right! You don't want to depend on the state file for mission-critical settings. DataTable and the XLS file is a good approach.
Having said that, would like to add the following for completeness: the state file can be used for not-so-critical settings. As you know, the L4T file gets saved automatically; every hour by default. You can however make this as low as 1 minute. It also gets saved when the process is closed.
One trick you can do (as explained in the online help), for a particular process whose state you want to preserve: bring the process to the right state, go into its properties and uncheck the "Save state file every..." check-box. Close the process thus saving its L4T file. Now, change the file-permissions
on this L4T to read-only. From now on the process gets loaded with this state.
    My two cents..

    Khalid

  • Why can't I save pictures off the Internet after downloading ios 6?

Ever since I installed ios 6 I have not been able to save pictures off the Internet. When I 'Save photo', it does not save anywhere. Unless it now saves to a new spot I am unaware of? It's not in my 'Photos' section. Anyone have any ideas what this is about? Or if its going to be fixed?
    Thanks!!!

I'm glad you answered so quick ;)
I think my problem is harder to solve than that. What you say is what I first tried to do. Since the sync with iTunes was still working, I could still have some pictures in the photos app, and each time I was syncing new pics from my computer ( PC btw ) I had a prompt that said sth like "xx elements have not be synced, check what on iTunes on the PC" but there was nothing on iTunes, and every pic I synced was here in the photos app. I thought there was a directory problem, or ghost pic files issues, so I made a backup of the iPad from iTunes and I disabled the autosync with iTunes. when I got it back, I directly tried to save a pic from safari and mail (even before syncing anything) and it was still not working.
I really can't figure out why is this occurring, and I haven't tried anything else for now. I think I will show this up in an apple store cause it's kinda hard to explain.
PS: sorry for the mistakes, I know this is annoying and makes my weird stuff hard to understand, but English is not my first language. (but I will keep on, the English community is still the best!)
