To upload Multiple Statements (MT940) in one go?

Good morning friends,
One of our bank is providing statement in Swift MT940. The issue is it provides 8 lines per statement as according to them it's a standard swift format which i believe is not. If anyone can confirm if this restriction applies on Swift statements?
Secondly, is their any functionality to upload multiple swift mt940 statements of single account in bulk? I read Swift Statements has the field :61F: for opening balance and :61M: for interim. So what we are getting is around 50 files per account with first statement file having :61F: while others having :61M:
So does SAP provide functionality to upload them all? something like browse folder that contains multiple files of single account etc.
Highly appreciate your suggestions
Thanks

Hi,
You are correct.  There is no limitation for MT940 to 8 lines per statement.
Do you have access to the bank's online site where you can download the statement in MT940.  If you have, then you can download all the statements for a date range in a single MT940 file.  The nature of the MT940 file is such that it carries the statement number in as a part of the format.  The statement number will always remain the same for a specific day or time range, depending on how the bank has sequenced it.  Can you tell me the bank's name, I may have some experience with the bank.
Once you have this single file, you can upload all the statements in one go.
However, if you do not have this option, then as standard you will only be able to mention a file at a time in FF_5. What you can do is either:
a)  Create a Z program that calls FF_5 after picking up the files and posts them one by one.  You may need to build a control on the file pickup so that, the Z program moves the file to a processed folder once uploaded.
b)  You can do the same using LSMW.  You can record FF_5 and then create a list of all the files and give LSMW the input for picking up the files.
Cheers.

  • Error when uploading multiple bank statement in ff_5.

    Hi All,
    I got below error when trying to upload multiple Electronic bank statement (BAI format) from presentation server on same day.
    Acct 4126735166: Statement 00001 already exists; entry ignored.
    I understood that there is already an entry in Table febko.
    Note: I cannot change any data in the file before uploading.
    Please let me know the way to resolve this issue.
    Regads,
    Dastagir

    Hi Pravin,
    I cannot delete any records as the uploaded EBS has correct data.
    The following scenario will be helpful to understand the issue clearly.
    Suppose I uploaded one BAI format EBS for account number 4126735166 on today morning.
    On same day evening I received another EBS file from the same bank for the same account number.
    So when I tried to upload the second file for the same date, I get the following error.
    Acct 4126735166: Statement 00001 already exists; entry ignored.
    I understand that SAP Allows to upload only one EBS for a same Account number & same date.
    Is there any other option to upload more than one EBS.

  • How B2B Adapter will process multiple statements in one file

    Hi All,
    I have a file of MT940 format. I am able to read the file using B2B adapter. It contains multiple statements. Each statement is having opening and closing balance.
    Now B2B Adapter is creating the instance on each statements Simultaneously.
    Problem:
    Here i need the closing balance of the 1st statement, is opening for the next statement, and i need to record the updated closing and opening balance in table. As B2B is processing independently each statement, i am not able to correlate the statement details.
    Example -
    Lets say i have 3001490311 - 16012013 MT940 File having mutilple statements, Lets say 3 statements.
    Statement 1 -
    Op Bal - 10,000, Cl Bal - 20,000
    Statement 2 -
    Op Bal - 20,000, Cl Bal - 30,000
    Statement 3 -
    Op Bal - 30,000, Cl Bal - 40,000
    I need to record the Updated closing balance in the table, As B2B Adpter starts processing the statements independently, so i am not able to corelate bettwen the statements. Please if any one has any solution for this problem, please post it immediately

    Thanks Anuj,
    Thanks for your reply. As I unchecked the translate button. while testing i came to know that, In B2B console it showing as complete, but soa process is not getting started.
    Problem:
    B2b reading the file sequentially. In My case file type MT940 Postional Flat File. As its getting the starting position of the statement, B2B is creating a instance and that instance keep on moving independently, now again B2b is keep on reading the another statements in the same file.
    Once again B2B is getting a starting position to read the statement, again creating the instance. so in the similar ways B2B is keep on creating the instance for other statement in the same file.
    But in my case i need the out put of one process should be input to the next processs. As B2B is processing independently, i am not able to correalte the processes.
    In my case I need B2b should processs first statement, till completion of the first process second processes should not initiate, so that i can use the out put of one process to input to the another process.
    Thanks

  • Uploading multiple items one at a time - file view resets

    In my work, I need to upload many files, one at a time, using an interface through the browser.
    When I go to upload multiple files, one at a time, using 10.6.2, the Finder takes me back one or two levels down from the file location between uploads. In 10.4, the Finder always took me back to the folder last accessed.
    Is there a Preference, Shareware like TinkerTool, or a Terminal Command I can use so that I always go back to the folder last accessed?

    OK. Wow. I did not realize the question was so obtuse. Feel free to ask for clarification (no reason to be nasty or flame me).
    "what mechanism is being used"
    In my original post, I did say I was uploading via a browser. So I don't know if this clarifies for you or not.
    Using Firefox or Safari.
    Uploading photos, one at a time, to a website that uses the browser (rather than FTP).
    In OS 10.4.11, after each photo, I would upload a second one and the dialog box would open up to the same folder as the previous upload, greatly simplifying the process.
    In OS 10.6.3, after each photo, I would go to upload a second photo and the dialog box would open one level down, or sometimes seemingly randomly, two levels down. This requires me to navigate back to the folder with the photos which greatly increases the amount of time between each upload.
    It would be helpful if I could show photos to explain.
    I am not certain that this really clarifies my original posting. Does this make sense or do you need more info?

    Some banks refuse to give statements in MT940 format as they does not support that format.
    The statements which bank gives are in PDF or text format.
    So, Is it possible to upload bank statement directly if format is other than MT940?
    Is there any other format I should demand from Banks?
    Do I need to develop Z report for this functionality, If yes, Then please guide?

  • Uploading Bank Statement onto SAP (MT940 giving problems, there better way?

    Hi All,
    We have received Bank Statements (MT940) which we tried to upload via FF.5. There seems to be some compatability issues as we always seem to have missing entries (External Transaction codes: 130,600,688,878,990).
    Firstly, I would like to know how to do we go about resolving these missing entries in MT940?. And secondly, is there an easier way to upload bank statements in order to do bank reconciliations? (i.e. uploading an Excel Format bank statement onto SAP)
    Thank you in advance
    Tom

    Hi, Tom.
    To create new external transaction codes, you should follow SPRO -> Financial Accounting -> Bank Accounting -> Business Transactions -> Payment Transactions -> Electronic Bank Statement -> Make Global Settings for Electronic Bank Statement. Once there, choose Create Transaction Type and  Assign External Transaction Types to Posting Rules.
    This is the path to customizing except if your problem is different from mine. In my case, the bank does not offer the transaction code but a code in the record 61.
    Best regards,
    Marcos.

  • How can I upload multiple files or whole folder structures in one go to the Cloud?

    How can I upload multiple files or whole folder structures to the Cloud in one go? Uploading lots of files singularly does not help my workflow.
    All help is much appreciated.
    Paul.

    Hi,
    Uploading multiple files is browser specific.
    Internet explorer won't allow to select and upload multiple files on the cloud.
    If you want to upload multiple files then you have to login to Cretaive cloud using Firefox or Chrome web browser, then you can select multiple files in the Browse window to upload.
    You can't upload folders directly.

  • Multiple statements from one connection causes ORA-0100 Maximum open cursor

    HI,
    I am creating a connection and trying to run 2 statements off the connection. The connection has autocommit as false as I want to commit only after the second statement commits successfully. Upon executing the second statement, I get the ORAC-0100: Maximum open cursor error. I have verified that I have closed all the Preparedstatement and ResultSet in the first statement.
    My code looks like this:
    Connection myConn = DriverManager.getConnection(jdbc:oracle:thin:.....); myConn.setAutoCommmit(false); Savepoint sp = myConn.setSavePoint("save1"); PreparedStatement pstmt = myConn.prepareStatement(...) ResultSet rs = pstmt.executeQuery(); while (rs.next()){ ..... } rs.close(); pstmt.close(); rs=null; pstmt=null; Statement stmt2 = myConn.createStatement(); sql="DELETE FROM TempTable..."; stmt2.executeUpdate(sql);
    I put a breakpoint just before stmt.executeUpdate and verified the open cursor are below the threshold. And as soon as I execute stmt2.executeUpdate,I get the maximum cursor error. Also, I noticed that the number of open cursors jumps to the limit after stmt2.executeUpdate(sql) as verified by the following sql
    select s.sid, s.username,  a.value from v$sesstat a, v$statname b, v$session s where a.statistic# = b.statistic#  and s.sid=a.sid and b.name = 'opened cursors current' and s.username = 'user_name';
    Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way to execute multiple statements using the same connection and commiting only after the last statement has executed successfully?

    I believe you need to close your connection via myConn.close() as follows:
    PreparedStatement pstmt=null;
    ResultSet rs=null;
    Connection myConn=null;
    try{
    myConn= //put code to get connection in this statement here
    pstmt = myConn.prepareStatement(...)
    rs = pstmt.executeQuery();
    while (rs.next()){
    }finally{
    if(rs!=null)
    rs.close();
    if(pstmt!=null)
    pstmt.close();
    if(myConn!=null)
    myConn.close();
    }

    hi ,
    i am trying to upload multiple document files into sharepoint list item. I followed below link for implementaion.
    http://techfindings-prem.blogspot.in/search/label/jquery.multifilejs
    It was working for sharepoint hosted app.
     This complete code is written within content edito web part.
    It was working when i was in root site collection with below change (hard coded the root level url) in code in "UploadFile" function.
    var scriptbase = "http://servername" + "/_layouts/15/";
                console.log(' File size:' + bytes.length);
                $.getScript(scriptbase + "SP.RequestExecutor.js", function () {
                    var createitem = new SP.RequestExecutor("http://servername");

                        method: "POST",

                        body: binary,
                        success: fsucc,

    But the issue came in picture when i was working with the other site collection instead of root one. The url was like below.
    "http://servername/sites/cpg/". This time i need to be there within "cpg" site collection.
    Now if i hard code the url as i did above my code gets break here while come to below line
     $.getScript(scriptbase + "SP.RequestExecutor.js", function () {
    I am getting error when i used below code:

                        console.log(fileName + "not uploaded error");

    Please hekp in this case. This complete code is written within content edito web part.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about upload multiple documents files into library vai REST API.
    As you have said, you have used the hard code url in your code.
    How about use the _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl method to get the url?
    I have used this method to get the url, then use the code in the article you have pasted within a content editor web part to upload the files.
    You can replace the hard code url with the _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl method, then check whether it works.
    Thanks,
    Jason
