Toggling Views

Ok, as a longtime FM user, I feel a bit silly about having to ask about this...I downloaded FM9 yesterday, and am poking around with new features. I selcted the full screen view, and now cannot find a way to bring back the menu that allows me to get back to other views (stuck in full screen). Please advise if you can help...

If you right click (outside the authoring context), you'll see a menu entry named 'Toggle Screen Mode'. This will do the needful.
Keyboard shortcut commands are:
Esc S M f for full screen.
Esc S M s for standard screen mode.
Esc S M t to toggle screen mode.
Esc S M u for full screen with user interface.

Hi All,
       I'm trying to toggle between two views depending on the selected value from the DropDownByKey. But i'm not getting the desired results.
I have three views in the viewset. Top view has the DropDownByKey and from this top view i'm firing outbound plugs to bottom views. Depending on the dropdown selection i have to show the bottom views. I've added following code in topview(view with DropDownByKey).

Authorization No view of prizes in orders and information record

Hello,
I have got another problem in an ECC 6.0 system.
The users should not be able to see the prices in orders and information records for certain suppliers.
For me that sounds strange because a person who orders material should be able to see the prices.
But anyway this is the request. The user should be able to create an order for the supplier, but prices should not be shown.
Authorization object F_LFA1_GRP contains authorization for suppliers data, but this object is not be checked in transaction ME21N.
For transaction MK03 there are authorization objects F_LFA1_BEK, F_KNA1_BED and F_LFA1_GRP which manage access to master data.
For conditions in module SD there is a note 105621, which contains modification for a authorization check for the condition screen in VAxx, so that users are not allowed to see prizes.
Is there a similar solution for module MM too?
Or is there another user exit oder modification possible?

This is more common than you would think. With a few EU companies changing their company structure to minimise tax maximise operational efficiency, visibility of sensitive data takes a new dimension over and above personal information.
I've done this with ME21/22/23N. We used enhancement points to add code which suppressed the pricing relevant fields. In this case it was a simple toggle - View all or View none - I don't see why you can't get a bit more adventurous based on a data attribute within the vendor

I pressed something, and it made the browser go into a "full screen" mode, how do I change it back? And also, something happened and made my FireFox text on all internet pages smaller, is there any way I could change this setting?

Itunes has separated my music by album and by artist

how do I get albums all together? I have tried checking the "compilation" box but it has made no difference.

Closing the local inspector in the Piano Roll editor no longer leaves a blank area on the right side of the editor.
Opening MIDI Draw in the Piano Roll no longer offsets the keyboard into the editing area.
When adding notes in the Piano Roll with the Pencil, newly created notes again have the same Velocity as the last edited note.
It is now possible to lasso notes in the Piano Roll editor using a Wacom tablet when Logic’s Right Mouse Button

Safari address field not displayed

An address field used to appear at the top line of my Safari page. The address field is now missing and I'm unable to enter any url. I can surf the web only by clicking on existing bookmarks. How can I recover ?

Try either toggling View menu -> Show/Hide Address Bar or select View menu -> Customize Address Bar... and drag the entry box back onto your Address Bar.

Reveal all waveforms at once in timeline

I'm trying to figure out how to toggle viewing all waveforms in the timeline.

Shift+scroll mouse wheel on the audio track header.

Direct selection tool won't show the handles when clicking the path.

When I draw a line, no matter if it's done with pen, pencil or brush tool, and try to select a point with the direct selection tool, it won't make a selection, I can't get the handles activated. They don't show at all. It only shows the line transform handle. This happens only in one certain file. When I open a different file or create a new one, the problem doesn't exist.

Ctrl/Cmd+H.
It toggles View>Show/Hide Edges.
The key combination Ctrl/Cmd+H is the most vulnerable one, completely surrounded by other key combinations all only waiting to wreck things when you look the other way. Or you may have tried to use one of them, then just (thought you) repeated it when it (seemingly) failed to work the first time.

Content Editing Problem

I have placed content on a DW template page using the
Javascript behavior to set text of container in a static html page.
This div container is nested within another div container which is
editable. I have several links that when clicked sets the text in
an otherwise empty div container. When attempting to edit this page
using Contribute CS4, I cannot open the links, view the content
within the container, or in any way edit the content within this
div container. Can this be done? Any suggestions? example code
attached. I would rather not use the Edit in external application,
as this will not help my client.

I'm having the same problem with jquery toggle view, no way to edit the content using Contribute. I guess javascript and jquery are just too fancy for Contribute.

Files don't show up as whole

seems like anytime I open an exel file or a numbers file that was "saved as" when it opens I get all the sheets on the left but I cant get the entire thing to show up as a whole??

Have you got Numbers set as Print View which splits all the sheets into pages.
If so try > View > Hide print view or use the toggle view page icon on the bottom of the window.

Search window in finder is too small

Hi
When I perform a search in a finder window (cmd + F) the window that opens is tiny (about 10% of my screens) and includes only two items: Search "This Mac" and a second button. The files found can only be sorted using three arguments (name, type and last opened). I want to change it to open on full screen and to include other criteria for sorting, at least size in addition.
How can I change this window??

As Ray says you can drag the window to expand it but I'm afraid it does work like other windows. It won't save a setting or toggle views by clicking the green button for minimum and maximum. It seems incongruous with Apple Human Interface Guidelines
AFA the choice of folders goes you can change the folder or drive it searches by by opening a standard finder window, then open a command-F window. Drag the folder you want to the menu bar. Then, close the Find window and reopen it. Whew! Not very intuitive either

OK, I've been doing this since CS2 with no need for a script. To hide guides and show preview...
1) Go to 'Keyboard Shortcuts'
2) Go to 'Product Area - Tools'. Yes, you'd think it would be in Views! But the buttons for this is at the bottom of the Tool Bar.
3) Go to 'Commands: Toggle view setting between default and preview'
4) Click your cursor inside 'New Shortcut' and hit the key you want or type it in. I choose the unused F2 key
5) Click the 'Assign' button and you are set. Hit the key to switch back and forth.
As for your mouse Zoom, use Power Zoom as described above or just hold down the Alt/Option button in 'Hand' mode and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Not one step but it works!
Now you won't miss Quark at all!

Disable Full Screen animation?

In Pages '09, is it possible to disable the window animation when shifting into Full Screen view and back to window view?
I'm hoping there may be a Terminal command to do this.

Guides not showing up

Somehow my guides are not showing up, they were there
originally and I deleted the green guide lines but now cant get
them back. I am using cs3 and have show guides checked but they are
not appearing anymore on my screen

Once you delete or clear guides, you need to drag them back
onto
document window. If you just want to turn them off
temporarily, you need
to toggle View > Show Guides.
