  • Frmall.jar source code

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to get the source code of frmall.jar, not the class files.
    Thanks.

    You can use JAD (java decompiler) to decompile classes in frmall.jar (since classes are not obfuscated)
    1. unzip the frmall.jar to some directory
    2. install a JAD (java decompiler)
    3. run jad -s java *.class
    For example this is a piece of oracle forms Main class
            if(mOracleLF && s5 != null && !s5.equals(""))
                boolean flag = false;
                if(s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Teal") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Titanium") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Red") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Khaki") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Blue") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Olive") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("Purple") || s5.equalsIgnoreCase("BLAF"))
                    LookAndFeel lookandfeel = UIManager.getLookAndFeel();
                    ColorScheme acolorscheme[] = lookandfeel.getColorSchemes();
                    for(int i = 0; i < acolorscheme.length; i++)
                        if(!acolorscheme.getName().equalsIgnoreCase(s5))
    continue;
    lookandfeel.setDefaultColorScheme(acolorscheme[i]);
    flag = true;
    break;
    if(!flag)
    showStatus("Illegal argument for colorScheme applet parameter");
    throw new IllegalArgumentException("Illegal argument for colorScheme applet parameter");
    FormsImageLoader.sharedInstance().setApplet(this);
    initSplashscreen();
    if(!getJDKVersion().startsWith("1.1") && !isVisible())
    setVisible(true);
    mDesktop = new FormDesktopContainer();
    mMDIContainer = new MDIContainer(mDesktop, getLogo());
    String s6 = getParameter("disableMDIScrollbars");
    if(s6 != null && s6.equalsIgnoreCase("true"))
    mDisableMDIScrollbars = true;
    if(mDisableMDIScrollbars)
    mMDIContainer.getMDIScrollBox().setHDisplayPolicy(2);
    mMDIContainer.getMDIScrollBox().setVDisplayPolicy(2);
    setBackground(UIManager.getLookAndFeel().getDefaults().getColor(LookAndFeel.DESKTOP));
    mMDIContainer.setDefaultHorizontalToolBar(null);
    mMDIContainer.setDefaultVerticalToolBar(null);
    mMDIContainer.setDefaultStatusBar(null);
    setupBackgroundImage(getDesktop());
    why to decompile frmall.jar?
    I'am interested to change some GUI and LAF..

  • Can you share the source code for Customer ToughDay stress test tool?

    Hello,
    I would like to try Customer ToughDay tool (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/testing/tough-day.html) for load testing of our author instances of CQ5. While I am able to execute the application, the logging with log4j seems to be configured incorrectly.
    Can you share the source code for toughday-5.5.jar?  I think it can be a very good starting point for those of us who are new to CQ5 and need to load test it.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    I don't believe there are any differences between the two versions. But you can check the source code for the Numeric Limit Test in TestStand\Components\NI\StepTypes\CommonSubsteps. But the main part of the step is the Code Module and this bit the users supplies this.

  • Jars and .class files - security of the source code

    Hi,
    I have an app that is in a jar file with the .class files (so no source code).
    I'm wondering how difficult it is to attain the source code from these .class files in my jar? Looking through the contents of the .class files it seems there is a large amount of readable text. For example I see method names, variables, etc.
    This leads me to believe these jars are not secure. What is a better way?
    Thanks!
    Edit:
    Looking around, I've noticed many java decompilers and Sun even supports a dissembler - javap. I think this is not cool, haha.
    What way can I protect my code? To me, the value of java just went way down due to the ease at attaining source code (based on what I read in the past hour or so. I have yet to try it myself). I wonder if this impacts companies reasons not to use java?
    Edit 2:
    I heard that there may be a way to make the jar closed, so you can't say, use winrar, to extract the class files. Does anyone know anything about this?

You can use tools called obfuscators to make decompiling more difficult, which is usually good enough. The truth is, no matter how great you think your code is, it's of a lot less interest to others than you actually think. Unless you've got a particularly sexy argorithm or something, it's not really worth worrying too much about

  • Finding the source code from Jar file

    Hi,
    I am a beginner java programmer but have been entrusted with learning our company's Java application. The architect of the application is not forthcoming in sharing information and so I need help in tracing the source code for the application. I know where the .jar files are stored but I don't know where the actual .java or .class files are stored.
    In the .profile file, I see the classpaths set to various jar files. eg.
    CLASSPATH=$PATH:/eaid01_apps/merc01/libs/tools/java/drivers/bin/eaiRun.jar
    When I view this jar file with command "jar tf eaiRun.jar", it displays all the files under it. Onc such listing is as following:
    citi/eai/EAI.class
    citi/eai/Interface.class
    I want to go to that specific directory on our file system which is storing these .class or.java file. From what I have learned about packages, I should find some folder called 'citi' ,'eai'.
    However I am not able to find these folders anywhere on file system. Is there a way I can find where the actual souce code is by looking at the jar files.
    Please help. Let me know if you need more information.
    thanks,
    Anand.

    Is there a way I can find where the actual souce code is by looking at the jar files.No, in general you can't, you should ask the architect that you mentioned earlier. The name of the source file is sometimes stored in the .class file for debugging purposes but that's unlikely going to help you find the files.
    You should also ask if he/she has got any documentation of the system. It's often a lot easier to follow documentation written in human language than program code written in a programming language. There could be documentation in a format similar to this: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/

  • Java Source for the tools.jar class files?

    Hi
    I'm writing custom taglets within an IDE. It would be great if I could find the source for files in tools.jar. Right now I'm a bit hindered by the lack of method specifications I would get if I had the source code.
    I'm especially interested by the Tag class methods
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Tag (and everything else in com.sun.javadoc) is an interface, so there are no class (static) methods.
    What was it you were wanting to do or to know?

  • Attaching source code of jar files in ecllipse edidor

    Hi all,
    i want to attach source code for jre system library 1.5 while i am using ecllipse 3.2. i also want to attach other source code for struts.jar .
    but i am unable to do it.
    my another problem is that i have struts.jar 1.2.9 and source code for that version is not available on the apache site.
    so please help me to attaching source file with jar files.
    thanks.

    source code for jre system library 1.5 under eclipse: Window -> Preferences ->
    Installed JREs -> here add JDK and not JRE
    (that's all !!)
    source code for struts.jardownload struts.xxx-src.zip from struts web site the
    add it to your struts project repository. Write some
    code that uses the struts API then select a struts
    class (ActionForm for example) and hit F3 keyboard
    key. Finally, click the button Attach
    Source... and select struts.xxx-src.zip you've
    just downloaded.
    do the same thing for all other jar which have a
    source code
    hope that helpsRather than change JVMs to do this, you could just follow java_2006's instructions for the JRE, looking for the source inside the folder where your JDK is installed. It's in a file called src.zip

    You cannot do this by simple repacking/rearchiving of JAR, because it contains special descriptor with fingerprint. In general, JAR is unmodifiable, however, you can create a new one with modified sources.
    You can try to import the JAR in some Java project in Eclipse, for example. Then make your changes and use the Eclipse's Export JAR wizard in order to repack the modified source Java files in a new JAR.

    I general, yes, the operation is allowed. However, you cannot do this with JAR deployed on some J2EE server or Portal, for example. Because there are references to it.

    Yes, sure. Use Import from Archive wizard in Eclipse. Or add the JAR in the class path of some Java project and Eclipse will show you the content of it.

  • Is there an tool for automatic re-indent source code ?

    Hi
    Where could i found an Tool for automatically indenting source code ?
    Regards

    Jdev can do this as well. Select the class you want to re-indent in application navigator, and select Reformat (or use shortcut Ctrl-Alt-L). Your code is re-indented and formated according to code-style defined in preferences.

    But why I can read source code from rt.jar? I found there are only class files in it.I say it's highly likely that you can't and your IDE's settings rather automatically refer to the src.zip file in the JDK's directory.I see. That's true. I use eclipse as the source code reader. It may refer to the source code zip file automatically.
