Track IP/MachineName in Weblogic 11g

Hi,
I have a intranet site running in organization in weblogic 11g.
I want to track the MachineName or IP Address which is accessing the site or accessed, from our organization network.
Is any option available in weblogic admin console or any other way to get this?

I installed Weblogic 11g and reports 11.1.1.2.0 and this version works

  • WebLogic 11g (JDeveloper11g) Deployment Configuration

    Hello,
    I developed a Dashboard application using Fusion technology within JDeveloper 11g and Oracle Database Express 10g for not-for profit organization that will track all their global IT Assets. The application look great. I also completed configuration of Oracle WebLogic 11g and deploy the Application from EAR file.
    The Problem
    After completing the deployment, the application work pretty well if the application is not removed from JDeveloper11g. Whe I decided to removed the application from JDeveloper 11g, I was not able to view the application when I run the WebLogic 11g Application Server.
    The configuration deployment in Jdeveloper doesn't go to the process of configuring the following as it is done in Jdeveloper 11g handbook:
    cannection name, connection type: weblogic, authentication, configuration, test, finish
    The Solution I am looking for:
    I am looking to configure the EAR file and remove the source code from the computer so I do not give out the source code. Is this possible with JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0? or do I need another version of JDeveloper?

    Hi
    From JDeveloper IDE, you can deploy your application or project to any Application Server OR as an EAR or WAR file. Any web application can be deployed as WAR file. This war file will be created under deploy folder of your project within the project source folder. But if you have application and this has multiple projects, then at application level, you can choose deploy and select as EAR. This will create .EAR file under deploy folder of your application. This is how its done most of the times. During development, we deploy directly to the app server configured with JDeveloper. Later on to deploy to any other application server, you create .EAR or .WAR or .JAR from JDeveloper. Then deploy these modules on external appliacation servers. There is no need for your source code or any stuff.
    Thanks

  • WebLogic 11g EAR EJB Classpath and class loaders

    All,
    I have been having issues migrating Spring based EJB applications from OC4J to WebLogic 11g (10.3.1). I have been in communication with Oracle who has suggested a work around however I am keen to see if anyone else can suggest a solution.
    The application is dependant on stateless session EJB beans that communicate with a Spring managed service tier to perform the business logic and database access. PitchFork is used to inject the Spring managers into the EJB’s using the spring-ejb-jar.xml configuration file. Note originally I was using the SpringBeanAutowiringInterceptor however I could not get this to work. See WebLogic 11g and Spring beens injected into EJB for details.
    When the application is deployed packaging all the dependant jars within the APP-INF\lib folder I get a verity of errors from the following InvalidClassException, NoSuchMethodError, AbstractMethodError and IllegalArgumentException. I am using Spring 2.5.3 to match the supported WebLogic version. Note within the EAR application.xml the library-directory is set to APP-INF/lib. The issue appears to be Spring, PitchFork, commons-logging and aspectj libraries are being loaded form WebLogic and do not have visibility on jars within the application or have been modified when bundled for WebLogic. An example of this is the PitchFork jar within WebLogic has been changed excluding the spi package resulting in java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.springframework.jee.spi.PitchforkUtilsImpl errors.
    Moving the jars to the domain library path does not resolve any of the issues. I have been unable to successfully deploy the application picking up the application jars using the prefer-application-packages configuration.
    Oracle has advised me to deploy the libraries into the WebLogic system classpath by modifying the startWebLogic command to load the libraries into the classpath. I am concerned that modifying the system classpath will result in an unstable WebLogic server as I will be replacing modified jar files packages with WebLogic (such as PitchFork). This will also limit the applications that can be deployed within the server as each application must use the same libraries and versions (as the application ibraries are leing ignored).
    Has anyone else hit this issue and corrected it? Can anyone think of an alternative solution?
    Regards
    Neil

    Hi,
    I am in the process of updating the tracking bug# 331569 with copies of the eclipse EAR/WAR projects and the EAR for these scenarios. Here are some details on how I got past the 2nd CCE on the org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.PersistenceProvider class (not the javax one)
    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=331569
    Essentially an SE persistence unit running both JPA 2.0 api and the 2.0 XSD schema work fine. I will next retest the EE case with variations of the 3 types of injection on the SSB or Servlet.
    Update: There are 3 (possibly 4) issues here (all of these may become obsolete when the next WLS version ships)Initially I got the same 2.0 schema error and the ClassCastException on org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.PersistenceProvider
    It turns out that my import of the 2 eclipse projects from my bug # 296271 for WebLogic 10.3.2.0 lost their facets(specifically the dynamic web facet) because I associated them with a different WebLogic 10.3.3.0. - this caused the CCE I was experiencing like Sri.
    Anyways, after creating an EAR/Web project combination from scratch in eclipse associated with the 10.3.3.0 instance - I predeployed/deployed/ran fine - even with the 2.0 schema - in SE bootstrap mode (no EE yet).
    Reproduction Procedure:
    redoing project from scratch as I noticed that the war was not at the root of the ear - it was a jar in the app-inf/lib dir - my imported eclipse project was not referenced correctly as a web module facet- create empty EAR and WAR project with references
    - download and open my EAR and WAR project code from bug # 296271
    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=296271
    - do essentially all the steps in the page below (I paraphrase for re-verification)
    http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Development/JPA_2.0/weblogic#DI_1.1:_Alternative_3:_Application_Level_Shared_Library_-InUse
    - copy applicationService, entity and FrontController servlet code into new projects
    - create persistence.xml and MANIFEST.MF manifest in src\META-INF
    - update manifest
    Class-Path: APP-INF/lib/eclipselink.jar
    APP-INF/lib/javax.persistence_2.0.0.v200911041116.jar
    - copy both javax.persistence 2.0 and eclipselink 2.x jars to APP-INF/lib
    - change ordering of WebLogic library modules classpath reference (javax.persistence 1.0) to ear reference (2.0 version)
    - update web.xml with servlet tags
    - update weblogic.xml with new context root
    - make the persistence unit name the same in persistence.xml and ApplicationManagedService
    - update weblogic-application.xml with prefer-application-packages overrides
    <wls:prefer-application-packages>
    <wls:package-name>javax.persistence.*</wls:package-name>
    <wls:package-name>org.eclipse.persistence.*</wls:package-name>
    </wls:prefer-application-packages>
    - enable server redirect logging
    <!-- new for 10.3.3.0 http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Examples/JPA/Logging#Server_Logging -->
    <property name="eclipselink.logging.logger" value="DefaultLogger"/>
    - start WebLogic 10.3.3.0
    - deploy (run on) server from eclipse or export ear to auto deploy directory
    1) JPA 2.0 XSD usage on 10.3.3.0
    - I reproduced this issue with a bad EAR
    - was able to use the 2.0 schema within the WAR-only application managed EAR

    Priya,
    Thank you so much for your response. I did test my database source from console and on the console it reported the test was successful, where in the admin logs has same exception logs. I did try creating a non XA connection and it did not have these errors. But my application did raise same exception while doing transaction.
    The application has around 250 EJB's that are written long ago and they all comply to EJB 1.1 spec. I am in the process of investigating the level of support for EJB 1.1 in Weblogic 11g.

    How much memory have you configured for the servers?
    When the memory (Xmx and Xms - JVM parameters) is too small start-up times can get long.
    I saw that you have SOA environment. To tune your environment this link might help: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=6040

    =====================
    Pls let us know any configuration needs to be done.
    Pls advise.

    Hey Suni,
    It appears that there is a section missing out of the current installation guide for Web Determinations. The reason you're getting that error is because you are deploying to application to WebLogic which doesn't expand the war by default so you need to configure the rulebase loader. Before you add proceed with the steps in the install guide you need to:
    # Unpack the web-determinations.war file
    # Copy the rulebases you wish to install to <webroot>/WEB-INF/classes/rulebases
    # Edit the following setting in the application.properties file (<webroot>/WEB-INF/classes/configuration):
    load.rulebase.from.classpath =true
    rulebase.path                    =rulebases# Repack the war file
    # Proceed with the installation steps as set out in the installation guide
    I'll have the installation guide fixed and updated as soon as possible.
    Thanks,
    Kristy

  • Error while deployment of  CMP 2.0 bean on weblogic 11g

    Hi,
    I am not able to deploy my CMP 2.0 bean on Weblogic 11g. There are two JVM available in weblogic 11g.
    1) Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_22-b04)

    What is the jee version you have on that server? are the environment variables correctly set?

  • OC4J 10.1.2 to Weblogic 11g (10.3.5) xmlparserv2.jar dependency

    I am trying to upgrade from OC4J 10.1.2 to Weblogic 11g (10.3.5).
    I used the smartupgrade tool and it has highlighted some required modifications before upgrading.
    For example:
    <snip>
    Rule: Oracle Private Dependencies
    Category: api
    Priority: required
    Complexity: high
    Reason: xxx.admin.ejb.AdminCtrl.jar contains the following unsupported Oracle dependencies:
    AdminCtrlBean.class on [oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser (orasaaj.jar), oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException (orasaaj.jar), oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument (orasaaj.jar)]
    Advice: To ensure the proper functioning of deployed applications, features that depend upon the identified API need to discontinue using the identified unpublished Oracle API.
    Implication: Features associated with the identified API may be broken, or the application itself may not function properly if at all because they depend upon unpublished Oracle dependencies.
    </snip>
    I want to follow the 'Advice', but I'm not sure what the best method is for correcting this issue.
    Should I move away from the xmlparserv2.jar for xml processing?
    If yes, what is the recommended replacement for xmlparserv2.jar in Weblogic 11g?
    Any help, guidance or pointers are greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    When migrating to weblogic from oc4j, you should discontinue use of the Oracle xml parser. Use the standard java sdk parser.
    This code snip:
    StringReader sr = new StringReader(xmlString.toString());
    DOMParser parser = new DOMParser();
    parser.parse(sr);
    Document doc = parser.getDocument();
    Is converted to this code snip:
         DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder();
    StringReader sr = new StringReader(Sparameters);
    InputSource is = new InputSource(sr);
    Document doc = db.parse(is);
    I found this information in this documentation:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs103/xml/programming.html#wp1069856
    I hope this is helpful to someone.

  • Deploying ADF Webapplication (10.1.3) to Weblogic 11g (10.3.4)

    Hello All,
    I have a web application built using jsp, struts framework and ADF business component. Currently it's deployed on oracle application server. I have requirement where it needs to be deployed on Weblogic 11g (10.3.4. or higher)
    Current version of Jdeveloper/ADF we are using is 10.1.3.
    According to support matrix,  Oracle JDeveloper 11g Application Server Certification Matrix
    its possible to deploy applicaiton developed in 10.1.3 to weblogic 10.3.4. Thats what oracle says as per above link.
    Is this correct? Has anyone tried it before?
    I followed the steps mentioned at Deploying The SRDemo ADF Sample Application on WebLogic Servers and installed ADF runtime as per Installing ADF Runtime Library on Third-Party Application Servers
    However when trying to deploy EAR file, I am getting classnot found exception for ADF/Classes.

    I created ADF directory under WLS home and copied required ADF related jars under lib and jlib folder. Do I have to perform any more steps.
    It's also mentioned on Deploying The SRDemo ADF Sample Application on WebLogic Servers
    Class not found on oracle/adf classes when deploying the application
    Verify that the setupadf.cmd file can be located by the WebLogic starting script.
    Verify that you started the right domain with the right startup script.
    Where can I find this cmd file and what needs to be in there? I am new to weblogic area. Can you please provide more details on this?
    My question to ADF experts - Is it possible to deploy web application with ADF business component (only ADF BC) 10.1.3 to Weblogic 10.3.4?
    If yes, could you please guide on how to accomplish it?
    Note that application has ADF BC only no adf faces or jsf.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards
    Amol Relkar

    Hello Shay,
    Thanks you for your quick response.
    Yes, my application works fine in embeded OC4J in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.
    It also runs well on Oracle applicaition server v9.0.4.3.0 which there on test environment.
    Current JDeveloper (10.1.3) doesn''t support weblogic 10.3.4 it seems, so I couldn't use ADF Runtime Installer wizard, when I do so it says - Selected directory is not a web logic home directory. So I followed steps manually mentioned in the same link - Installing ADF Runtime Library on Third-Party Application Servers
    Basically I copied all mentioned jar files under <Weblogic_home>\ADF\lib and <Weblogic_home>\ADF\jlib
    This is the correct way right?
    If not could you please elaborate more on this.
    Note: I have just ADF BC in my applicaiton no faces stuff.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind Regards
    Amol Relkar

    Jay and Maxence , I tried what you guys said by removing the jms. and using only PrixcarDamageQueue and PrixcarConnectionFactory but still I am getting an error like Namenotfound as shown below,
    The Message-Driven EJB: PRIXCAR_IMPORT_GATEWAY_QUEUE is unable to connect to the JMS destination: PrixcarDamageQueue. The Error was: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'PrixcarDamageQueue'. Resolved ''; remaining name 'PrixcarDamageQueue' at weblogic.jndi.internal.BasicNamingNode.newNameNotFoundException(BasicNamingNode.java:1139) at weblogic.jndi.internal.BasicNamingNode.lookupHere(BasicNamingNode.java:252) at weblogic.jndi.internal.ServerNamingNode.lookupHere(ServerNamingNode.java:182) at weblogic.jndi.internal.BasicNamingNode.lookup(BasicNamingNode.java:206) at weblogic.jndi.internal.WLEventContextImpl.lookup(WLEventContextImpl.java:254) at weblogic.jndi.internal.WLContextImpl.lookup(WLContextImpl.java:393) at javax.naming.InitialContext.lookup(InitialContext.java:392) at weblogic.jms.common.CDS$2.run(CDS.java:222) at weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject.doAs(AuthenticatedSubject.java:363) at weblogic.jms.common.CDS.getDDMembershipInformation(CDS.java:216) at
    My doubt is will queue be displayed in JNDI tree ?? I mean there is a JNDI tree in weblogic admin screen and I am getting only the PrixcarConnectionFactory in that and not the PrixcarDamageQueue , may be thats why its showing "unable to connect to the JMS ???" Please advice.....
    I changed both the xml's and the JNDI names in the admin screen.

  • Oracle Portal returns 500 error running under Weblogic 11g server

    I've got Oracle Portal set up under Weblogic 11g.
    SSO running, talking to OID 11g, also running under the same Weblogic 11g server. Tested SSO, it is working well.
    After the install (no errors or issue on install), I go to http://<server>:8090/portal/pls/portal and geta Error 500 - Internal Server Error.
    I traced down the problem to OHS - in ohs1.log:
    [2009-08-04T10:09:15.0512-05:00] [OHS] [ERROR:32] [OHS-9999] [odl_log.c] [host_id: <server>] [host_addr: 127.0.0.1] [tid: 1320139072] [user: oracle] [ecid: 004S594zs25Fw000jzwkno0002740001NK] [rid: 0] [VirtualHost: main] Request Failed for : /portal/pls/portal, Resp Code : [500]

    So the problem is favicon.ico is missing, which I confirmed. Does this mean a bad deployment of an .EAR file? What should I do?

    Yes, it seems you are correct....this is from WLS_PORTAL-diagnostic.log

    Hi,
    This forum is for issues migrating from non-Oracle databases to Oracle.
    It would be better to ask this question in one of the Weblogic servers but as there are several Weblogic forums but it may be better to try this one first -

  • Images not showing up after moving from OAS 10g to Weblogic 11g

    We are moving our oracle forms application from OAS10g to weblogic 11g. We have a simple login html page that has an jpg image. This login page is rendered properly under OAS 10g. After following the documentation for configuration, the login functionality works fine but for some reason the images on the html page do not show anymore. The images are located within the same directory as the html page
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\config\FormsComponent\forms\server\index.html
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\config\FormsComponent\forms\server\myimage.jpg (this does not render).
    Does anyone have any suggestion about this?
    thanks,
    Wes

    I'm just noticing this tonight, too.  I had Lr3 scan for missing photos.  It identified 388 out of about 20,000.  In checking on that, I tried to reconnect one to the current path, but nothing happens.  The entry for that shot stays in the Missing Photographs group, and the "missing" icon remains on the thumbnail.

    Thread: migration problems ADF/ Struts 10.1.3 -> 11.1.1.3

    Re: ADF/Swing/JClient application migration problem from 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.3
    - so using JDev 10.1.3.5 with deployment to Oracle Weblogic 11g is a must for us.
    Questions:
    1) Is there a way to use Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 for debugging inside JDev 10.1.3.5?
    2) Can I develop with JDev 10.1.3.5 + JDK 1.5 and create an ear to deploy to Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 Application server with JDK 1.6 64bits?
    3) Which version of ADF should I install on Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 to run my 10.1.3.5 application?
    Your help will be appreciated
    Fred

    Is there a way to use Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 for debugging inside JDev 10.1.3.5?While you can't replace the embedded OC4J - you can use an external WLS server and do remote debugging on it. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/remotedebugwls-086628.html
    From inside JDeveloper you can also deploy directly to the WLS server.
    Can I develop with JDev 10.1.3.5 + JDK 1.5 and create an ear to deploy to Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 Application server with JDK 1.6 64bits?Yes you can. Note that so far we haven't officially certified ADF 10.1.3 on WLS 10.3 - but from various customers and testings we think it works ok. We might certify this combination in the future.
    Follow these steps to get the deployment working:

    Which version of ADF should I install on Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 to run my 10.1.3.5 application?You always install the version of ADF that matches the one your application was developed and compiled with.
