Tracking the CONTEXT element's holding values?

Hello
I am developing an Adobe Interactive Form, i have Designer 8.1 and Reader 9.0 in my Windows 7 Laptop. When i checked the menu EDIT-->form properties --> Compatability, its Adobe XML form File (XDP)
I have CONTEXT and drwan input text fields in my_interactive_form.
1) I want to debug the form that How the CONTEXT is holding the values and With wht values the HIDDEN input text fields are holding?
2) is it mandatory to BIND each & every CONTEXT element to a text input field on the form IN ORDER TO utilize the context element content in the Java script editor?
Thank you

Thank you.
I am developing an VISITOR Adobe Interactive Form, i have Designer 8.1 and Reader 9.0 in my Windows 7 Laptop. When i checked the menu EDIT-->form properties --> Compatability, its Adobe XML form File (XDP) When i opened this VISITOR interactive form in a browser, right clicking and checked form
PROPERTIES, then i saw the "PDF Version: 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)"
When i opened this VISITOR interactive form in the browser, i did not see MENU options (like EDIT)! i saw small icons of Pring, Save, Page, Zoom, Find.
And a Purple ribbon with text of "Please fill out the following form. You can save data typed into this form"
But, i did not see any other MENU optios, like FILE, EDIT, VIEW, DOCUMENT, TOOLS, WINDOW, HELP! Pls. let me know
But, i downloaded some 'ABC' pdf from internet and opened it, here i can see all these MENU options, like FILE, EDIT!
1) In this case, How can i setup DEBUGGING settings as mentioned above?
2) Why the MENU options got disappearing!
Than you

  • OA_MEDIA referencing a value outside the Context Element

    I am attempting to use XML Publisher to change a logo image at the top of a template. I have used the following command with great success:
    url:{concat('${OA_MEDIA}’,’/',//C_PAYGROUP',.jpg')}
    Unfortunately, this works fine when I have C_PAYGROUP in the Context Element of the XML output I am referencing... in reality this is not the case as I need to get to the absolute path and specify my C_PAYGROUP value from the top level down... i.e:
    /HBOSRA0830/LIST_G_SEL_CHECKS/G_SEL_CHECKS/C_PAYGROUP
    I have tried the following syntax to no avail and hope someone will be able to help me out a little...
    url:{concat('${OA_MEDIA}/',/HBOSRA0830/LIST_G_SEL_CHECKS/G_SEL_CHECKS/C_PAYGROUP,'.jpg')}
    Many many thanks,
    Terence

    Hi Terence,
    Looks like a slight problem with where the slashes etc are.
    The following will work - note the slash after OA_MEDIA as a seperate field in the concat.
    url:{concat('${OA_MEDIA}','/',/HBOSRA0830/LIST_G_C_PAYGROUP/G_C_PAYGROUP/C_PAYGROUP,'.jpg')}

  • Type (..) of the context element (..) in view (..) does not exist

    Hi all
    I have got an question. I have an ABAP webdynpro with a context node which is connected to an ABAP structure.
    The context node is mapped to a context node of a view and the fields of the view are mapped to the context node of the view. So the data is send through them. That works fine.
    Within this ABAP structure i have added 3 extra new fields. After creating them i activated the structure.
    Within the webdynpro i have updated the context mapping between the node and the structure and also between the different mappings between the views and the componentcontroller where this node is used,
    Within the context tab of all the views i see all the three new fields.
    When i try to map those fields to a field in the screen it cannot be done. i get the following message:
    Type (..) of the context element (..) in view (..) does not exist
    Anf the new fields are gray.
    Does anybody know the solution for this?
    kind regards,
    Anton Pierhagen

    Hi all
    Thanks for all of the replies. But unfortunately the right answer wasn't there.
    I had tried to map the structure and re-create the node on several levels in my web-dynpro, but there was no change after this changes.
    When i created an own dataelement and an own domain in my ABAP structure, it worked.
    I could select them in the webdynpro. But why????
    i still not get it..
    But thanks for the replies!
    Kind regards,

  • How to get the context element of a F4 help of a column in ALV table?

    Hello!
    I know to get the context element of the current row normally through
    lo_el = WDEVENT->get_context_element( 'CONTEXT_ELEMENT' ).
    or: lo_el = lo_nd->get_element( index = r-parm->index ).
    But this time, I have a F4 help on the cell of a column. After clicking on the F4 help I need to get the current context element. Do you have any idea, to help me?
    Many thanks!

  • Select Option's Context Element for the REPORT_ATTRIBUTE_ERROR_MESSAGE

    Hi,
    We're on 7.0 ehp1.
    I found a thread on same subject u201Cwdr:select_options and highlight Error Message with a Link to Inputfield u201C, Jul-23-2008, in which Thomas Jung gave an explanation of how to get the context element of the Select Options on a view.
    I tried to follow it, but Iu2019m still not getting it.  Please show how to get the context element of a Select Option for the u201CREPORT_ATTRIBUTE_ERROR_MESSAGEu201D .
       wd_comp_controller->go_message_manager->report_attribute_error_message(
             exporting
              message_text   = ls_messaga_text
                  element        = ?????
               attribute_name = ls_option_id
    Thomas' explanation:
    I gave you the code that gets you to the interface controller. From there you call the GET_API to get the component controller. After you have the component controller it is normal context coding to read the context of the Select-Options context. Run the debugger and use the Web Dynpro view to see what your context looks like at runtime. When I test this with one of my applications, the names of the context nodes that were dynamically generated was really straight forward - as it uses the names of the select-option itself. Nothing special once you reach this point - just normal context coding...."
    Kind regards,
    Huntr

    Hi ,
    Use the below approach to achieve this,
    data:
        lr_context_node       type ref to if_wd_context_node,
        lr_element            type ref to if_wd_context_element,
        message_text          type string.
      get the node and leadSelection of that field
        lr_context_node = get_node_of_sel_field( <field>-m_id ).
        lr_element = lr_context_node->get_lead_selection( ).
    case <field>-m_type.
    For Select option field
                when if_wd_select_options=>mc_sscreen_item_type_field.
                  m_message_manager->report_attribute_error_message(
                    element        = lr_element
                    attribute_name = 'LOW'
                    message_text   = message_text ).
    "For Parameter field
                when if_wd_select_options=>mc_sscreen_item_type_parameter.
                  m_message_manager->report_attribute_error_message(
                    element        = lr_element
                    attribute_name = 'VALUE'
                    message_text   = message_text ).
                when others.
              endcase.

  • Tomcat 5.5 context.xml, how to configure the Host element

    [Probably this question should be asked elsewhere, if so please advise]
    Dear all,
    I understand that Tomcat 5.5 prefers that your web application comes with a context.xml file under the META-INF folder.
    So I added a context.xml file under the META-INF folder of my web application,
    please have a look below.
    context.xml
    <Context path="" docBase="C://Program Files//Apache Software Foundation//Tomcat 5.5//webapps//test">
         <Resource
              name="jdbc/testDB"
              factory="org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory"
              auth="Container"
              type="javax.sql.DataSource"
              maxActive="10"
              maxIdle="5"
              maxWait="10000"
              removeAbandoned="true"
              removeAbandonedTimeout="60"
              logAbandoned="true"
              username="username"
              password="password"
              driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
              url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test" />
    </Context> Ok, that is good so far, but how do I configure the Host element.
    I mean how do you link a specific Host to a specific Context?
    Before, the Context element was a sub element of the Host element,
    now it is completely separated.
    Host in server.xml
    <Host name="www.test.com" deployOnStartup="true" debug="0" appBase="webapps" unpackWARs="true" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="false" xmlNamespaceAware="false">
         <Valve
              className="org.apache.catalina.valves.FastCommonAccessLogValve"
              prefix="test_access_log."
              suffix=".txt"
              pattern="common"
              directory="C://Program Files//Apache Software Foundation//Tomcat 5.5//webapps//test//logs"/>
    </Host> I assume that if I modify the appBase of the Host element from webapps to webapps/test then it would work, but if I have several
    Contexts for the specific Host, how should I configure it then?
    Please help by giving examples!

    OK, I have changed the Host's appbase to webapps/mytestapplication.
    I want to deploy a test.war under the appbase:
    webapps/mytestapplication/test.war
    The name of the host is www.test.com
    Because the war file is not named ROOT.war (instead it is named test.war),
    the URL to the test application would be www.test.com/test.
    Now I have several relative anchor links in the test application
    Say for example the test application is deployed and accessed through www.test.com/test.
    Clicking on the aboutus link would change to URL to www.test.com/aboutus.html.
    Instead, for this to work, the URL must be www.test.com/test/aboutus.html.
    Obviously, the easiest solution is to add /test before each anchor link:
    But the there must a different solution.
    Adding a path to Context element did not work:
    <Context path="/test" ...>
    </Context>
    Question:
    1. what is the solution for the anchor scenario above, should I add /test before each link?
    2. Is my configuration (can be seen at the bottom) correct?
    Basically, I have removed the path and docBase attributes from the Context element.
    I have also set autoDeploy to false in the Host element.
    Here are a few paragraphs from the docs:
    autoDeploy attribute of Host element:
    "Finally, note that if you are defining contexts explicitly,
    you should probably turn off automatic application deployment.
    Otherwise, your context will be deployed twice each, and that may cause problems for your app."
    OK, so I set autoDeploy to false since I am defining contexts explicitly, (META-INF/context.xml)
    docBase attribute of Context element:
    The value of this field must not be set when the Context
    is configured using a META-INF/context.xml file as it will be inferred by the automatic deployment process.
    So, I remove the docBase attribute eventhough I am confused a bit.
    This is the part that confuses me:
    If autoDeploy is set to false since I am defining contexts explicitly,
    how can then anything be inferred by the automatic
    deployment process? (please answer!)
    There should not be any automatic deployment process when autoDeploy is set to false.
    path attribute of Context element:
    The value of this field must not be set except when statically defining a Context in server.xml,
    as it will be inferred from the filenames used for either the .xml context file or the docBase.
    Same as the Context element.
    Thanks!
    <Context>
         <Resource
              name="jdbc/testDB"
              factory="org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory"

              removeAbandonedTimeout="60"

  • Setting data in the context

    Ok, I will admit I'm very much a Web Dynpro newbie, and this whole context thing is really confusing for me, though I've been a Java programmer for 6 years.
    Here's what's going on.  Basically, I'm trying to make a more simplified version of the spell checker (using Jazzy) that was written about in a weblog on here.  But, the part that's messing me up is the context.  In my Component Controller, I defined a couple things.  I defined a value attribute called "misspelledWord", a value node called "Suggestions", and under that a value attribute called "word"  (I have more defined than that, but for the purposes of this post, that's all you need to know)
    I have a text area, and a "Check Spelling" button underneath it, and in the action for that button, I want to set all those context attributes so that I can display them in the pop-up screen that comes up, which shows the user a misspelled word and all the suggestions for it.  Or, at least, it's SUPPOSED to.
    In my code I do the following:
    wdThis.wdGetSpellCheckComponentController().wdGetContext().currentContextElement().setMisspelledWord(ew.getText());
    "ew" is an object I defined called ErrorWord, which contains all the information about each misspelled word and gets populated in my spell checking class.
    This works GREAT. misspelledWord gets populated and displayed on the pop-up screen.
    My problem is getting all the suggestions.  I have them all in an ArrayList in my ErrorWord object, so I HAVE them, I just can't seem to store them in the context. Everything I try gives me a NullPointerException.
    All I want to do is loop through my ArrayList, and assign the String value I have in there to the "word" attribute.
    Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide,
    Jennifer

    for (Iterator i = ew.getSuggestions().iterator(); i.hasNext() ; )
      String word = (String) i.next();
      ISuggestionsElement suggestion = wdContext.nodeSuggestions().createAndAddSuggestionsElement();
      suggestion.setWord(word);
    The context node "Suggestions" should be able to store any number of elements (cardinality = 0:N).
    About "context":
    The context is a generic, hierarchical storage for the data accessible by a controller. Contexts may be mapped which means you get references to the context elements in used controllers or to the underlying model.

  • Vaule set in the Context went missing

    Hi expert,
    I am trying to set the values which I retrieved from the IGPStructure to the contextElement for later retrieval in method execute( ...).
    Then, I try to get the value from the contextElement in the DoInit (..),  but i cannot get the value.
    I have verified that the value is set initially in the execute method.
    I am currently using CE7.1 SP3.
    Can help? Thanks

    hi,

  • How to bind Context elements to a HTML template

    Hi,
    I want to display all the context elements in my webDynpro application in a html page, I have html template my requirement is to bind all the context elements to fields in the html template.please provide me the solution.
    thanks,
    kishore.

    Hi Kishor,
    I do not think there is some straight forward solution for this scenario.
    You need to create two applications 1 webdynpro application and one portal application.
    What you can do is Pass the context values from webdynpro application to a flat file and store then in that(every time create a new flat file). Now after successfully creation of flat file call the portal application which reads the flat file and get the context values and set them.
    If you require more info, i can help you.

  • Context elements renaming

    I had created one Interactive Adobe form earlier.
    Now I am going to its interface and renaming some of the parameters.
    I want to know whether this parameters' new names would be automatically reflected in:
    a. context of the adobe form
    b. all the names of the elements drag and dropped on the interactive form
    Or i've to do this activity manually for each and every element renamed.
    Is there a way to rename all the elements on the adobe forms to reflect the new names ?
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi Mate,
    if you change the interface for new fields in a table type, or data element of a field or field name sort of.
    Adobe cant recognize and pickup these changes automatically.
    so you need to goto sfp tcode, open the form and refresh the context element by element.
    if there are new fields to be added you need to drag and drop only then it reflects.
    Cheers,
    Sai

  • Determine the selected element in a RadioButtonGroupByIndex UI Element??

    I am using a RadioButtonGroupByIndex from which the user chooses one entry.
    What I need to to know is the entry, the user has chosen, e.g.
           element 1
    -> element 2 //users choice
           element 3
    How can access the users choice in coding?
    Thanks, Johannes

    Hi Johannes Schnatz,
    You need to bind the context element to the "text" property of the "RadioButtonGroupByIndex" .
    Then after you need to write the code for know which is set to true which is not set to true by the loop or your own logic.

  • Extract cluster element names and values automatically

    Dear Labview forum,
    I would like to extract cluster element names and values automatically
    without prior knowledge of the cluster element size or contents.
    I am able to extract the names but have some trouble with the values.  (see attached VI)
    I wish to write each the cluster element name and value in a string, and then write the string to a new line in a file.

    This can become arbitrarily complex, because a cluster can contain many types of data, even other clusters, arrays, typedefs, etc. So getting a "value" of an element is not as easy as you might think. There is a reason you get a variant.
    If all cluster elements are simple numerics you can use "variant to data" with the correct type. The attached shows a few possibilities. Modify as needed.

  • Message Mapping: Map value from the first element in a context in target el

    Hi experts,
    I have a problem with a message mapping in XI. I hope you can help me. At first I will give you a source and a target structure. Then I will explain the problem.
    <u>Source structure:</u>
    <E1EDP01>
       <E1EDPT1>
          <TDID> ... </TDID>
          <E1EDPT2>
             <TDLINE> ... </TDLINE>
          </E1EDPT2>
       </E1EDPT1>
    </E1EDP01>
    The structure can contain more than one E1EDP01-Elements, more than one E1EDPT1-Elements and more than one E1EDPT2-Elements.
    <u>target structure:</u>
    <LineItem>
       <vendmemo> ... </vendmemo>
    </LineItem>
    For every E1EDP01-Element my mapping creates one LineItem-Element in the target structure. To fill the element <vendmemo> the mapping should do the following steps:
    The mapping should search in E1EDP01 for a E1EDPT1 with the TDID = Z505. And from this E1EDPT1-Element (with the TDID=Z505) the mapping should take the value <TDLINE> from the first E1EDPT2-Element in the context of the E1EDPT1-Element (the E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505) and put this value in <vendmemo>.
    The mapping should do this action for every E1EDP01 -> so for every LineItem.
    I tried it with UDF but I didn't found a solution. Can anybody help me?
    best regards
    Christopher

    Hello experts,
    i was wrong ... my mapping isn't still working. I had created a test instance. and only for this test instance the mapping (see above) works.
    Can anybody help me? I'm trying the whole day but I can't find a solution. Here a second description of my problem:
    <u>Source Structure:</u>
    <E1EDP01>

             <TDLINE> ... </TDLINE>
          </E1EDPT2>
          <E1EDPT2>
             <TDLINE> ... </TDLINE>
          </E1EDPT2>
       </E1EDPT1>
    </E1EDP01>
    <u>Target Structure:</u>
    <LineItem>
       <vendmemo> ... </vendmemo>
    </LineItem>
    <LineItem>
       <vendmemo> ... </vendmemo>
    </LineItem>
    <u>Description of my Problem:</u>
    For each E1EDP01 in the source structure the mapping creates one LineItem in the target structure.
    The element "vendmemo" should be created in any case ... also if it will be empty.
    To fill the element "vendmemo" the mapping should search in E1EDP01 for a E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505. If there is an element E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505, the mapping should write the TDLINE from the first E1EDPT2 (under the element E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505) in the target field "vendmemo".
    The Problem is that TDLINE an TDID are not in the same context. I tried it with setting the context of both to E1EDP01. But it was not working ... have you any idea oder suggestion?
    Thank you very much

  • How to Track the changes made to the custom table field value

    I want to track the changes made to the custom table field value in table maintenance generator.please help me it is very urgent
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kranti

    Hi Satya,
    These are the steps you've to do.
    1. Enable the change document flag in the data element level for the fields of the tables you want to monitor.
    2. Go to transaction SCDO. Create a new change object, and add your table to this object. After generation, you'll get a function module.
    3. Call this function module in the table maintainence generator screen, after the data is saved to the database table. This function module automaticallly writes the changes, with the old and new values, and the fields that were changed to the tables CDHDR and CDPOS.
    4. You can keep track of the changes made to the table by monitoring these tables.

  • How to add a new Element to the Context

    Hello all.
    I created in the wdInit()
    ArrayList datas = new ArrayList();
         for (int i = 0; i < 25; i++) {
              MyData data = new MyData();
              data.setMethods();
              datas.add(data);
         wdContext.nodeMyData().bind(datas);
    Now, I want by clicking on the Button "Create new Element", forward user to the other View, which elements are connected with the same model -> context, the new element should be added to context, the user should fill the form and click Save-Button.
    How can I add a new Element to the Collection I created and choose it as a current element?
    If I do: wdContext.nodeMyData().bind(new MyData()) all information will be lost. And I will have only one field.
    If I do it like this:
    IWDNodeElement dynTabElem=(IWDNodeElement)wdContext.nodeMyData().createElement();
    wdContext.nodeMyData().addElement(dynTabElem);
    I get an error: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: NodeInfo(DataComp.MyData): value node is created without a reference
    Well I can pass to my new View a Collection as a parameter and then
    Collection.add(new MyData()) and then bind it. But I find this solution not good.
    Is there any possibility to get the existing Collection from the Context without passing it to the view?
    Can I just add a new element to the existing collection?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hallo Monalisa,
    I did as you said. But I can't add something to my model class, because it is not collection.
                            MyData data = wdContext.currentBelegElement().modelObject();
                   data.add() ???? - don't work
                   wdContext.nodeMyData().invalidate();
