Trade in for white iPhone 4

So I got my iPhone 4 in September of 2010, is there any way possible I can do like a trade in for the white iPhone 4 without paying a HUGE amount of money!?

No, Apple does not do trade in's.  You could sell it and put the money towards purchasing a white one.

would i be able to go to the apple store and trade in my black iphone 5 for a white iphone 5?

If you bought the black one less than 2 weeks ago, you can return it for a refund and buy whatever you want. Otherwise, no.

  • Which cases should I use for white iphone 4

I like Otterbox but they have a disclaimer that states their cases are not white iPhone 4 compatible.

The Defender case is great but I found out after purchasing that it doesn't work with my white iphone 4 (My screen doesn't blank out when on a phone call, causing random dialing, enabling speakerphone, etc).
Here's what otterbox.com says, "Not compatible with WHITE iPhone 4. Due to a slight change of the proximity sensor for the white Apple iPhone 4, the OtterBox Defender Series, Commuter Series, Reflex Series and Impact Series cases will not work with this new device."
Strange that they say the Commuter and Reflex Series will not work since they do not appear to cover the sensor like the Defender... but not sure it is worth trying.

  • Check your store for White iPhone 4

    Hey all,
This is for people to respond if they have called their store to confirm if they will or will not have white iPhone 4's, and also how will they be distributed if they do have them? Ex: First come first serve only or available to first people with reserves. *Note that stores will most likely vary, so tell us what you find out! I will be calling my store today after my lunch break because I assume they will ge their stock in around then.

I just got off the phone with my local Apple store and they said they were not getting them tomorrow and didn't have a date. I called my local radio shack and they said they weren't going to be available for another 2 months.

  • Bought Droid 3 a month or 2 ago, want to trade in for an Iphone 4s

So I bought the Droid 3 for 3 reasons:
    -dual core processor
    -8 mp camera
    -hd video
Then the iphone 4s came out with:
    -dual core processor
-8mp camera that actually seems to work and focus...god i hate this droid 3 camera it is garbage
-who really needs 1080p video on their phone?
-4g capability, which my region literally just became eligible for, wasn't when I bought the droid 3
I want to get the iphone 4s. I spoke briefly with the girl at my nearest verizon store and she said without signing up for a new plan I would be paying full proce for it.
The thing is, I will never pay $650 for an iphone 4s. I will, however, trade in my droid 3 for $120 and pay an extra $80 in order to get the iphone 4s. Is there any eay this is possible? To get this iphone for the 2 year contract price? I don't see why they wouldnt  do it...they will only be making money. My droid 3 is barely 2 months old.
Anyone know if this stuff is negotiable at all?

    Hello Joey12345,
I can certainly understand the passion that you have for the Iphone 4S. I, too, would love to own this phone. The specs that the Iphone 4S is VERY competitive with the other devices on the market, even though is doesn't have the 4G data connectivity. Other forum members such as mdram4x4 & rcshnoor did make a good point about what options are available to obtain an Iphone 4S. Here's a snapshot of those options
Option 1 - Trade in your Droid 3 using our trade-in link, www.trade-in.vzw.com.
Option 2 - Sell your device privately on eBay pr craigslist.com, as mdram4x4 stated, as use the proceeds to buy the Iphone 4S at full retail.
Option 3 - Open a new line on the account to get the Iphone 4S at 2-year pricing. Keep in mind that you would have to keep this line active and being billed out at the cost for 2 years.
Option 4 - If you have another line on the account that's eligible then you can upgrade the qualifying line & do an equipment swap.
Option 5 - Buy an Iphone 4S on craigslist or eBay and use it instead of the Droid 3.
As rcshnoor stated, devices are sold to customers at a subsidized price in exchange for a 2-year commitment. The Any device sold at a discounted rate prior to the completion of the original 2-pear commitment to the customer results in a net loss. Not like this is a problem of yours but this is one of the many reason as to why discounted upgrades aren't given after a few month has passed from the previous upgrade. I can explore additional option for you if you like. Simply, send me a private message with your full name, mobile number, and a summary of the issue so I can assist. I look forward to hearing from you Joey12345.
    Thank you...

  • Where does it say that I can make the trade-in for my iPhone 6 in a Verizon Store?

I know some you you may feel this has been asked and answered, but I need a definitive answer that I can show someone in my local Verizon Company Store.
I need to know where I can find definite wording that states that I should be able to walk into my local Verizon store and trade in my old iPhones for the $200/each credit as promised by Verizon. The Verizon associated at my local store have given me two different answers. The first girl told us we could bring in our iPhone 6 phones, get them activated and at the same time trade in our old iPhones for our credit. When our iPhones came we went back to the same store and the guy activated our new phones but wouldn't allow us to trade in our old phones. He said that we had to do it online. Since then I've see several comments from customers a Verizon reps stating that I can make the trade in at my local Verizon Company Store. If I have the actual wording from Verizon then I should be able to convince the reps in my local store to accept my trade-in and credit my Verizon account. Thank you for any help on this.

for each iphone 6 purchased you can trade in an older iphone for the $200 credit. So yes, you can trade-in 2 assuming you are upgrading 2.

  • Who many people are waiting for White iPhone 4?

  • Invisible Shield for white iphone

I have heard that the invisible shield fluid that comes with the shield turns the white back on the iphone yellow. Does it? I could not find any pictures of a white iphone with the shield on.

    Dr Sly wrote:
    Invisible shield liquid: windex
iPhone material: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (some sort of plastic alloy)
together: may discolor, wear, faint over time
iPhone by itself: may discolor, wear, faint over time anyways (that's what acrylonitrile butadiene styrene does anyhoo)
the white iPhone is lose-lose situation over time (much like the white Macbook), unless put in a sleeve or case as often as possible (and cleaned from time to time)
I have made two attempts to put this shield on my while iPhone (the back side) with no success. I also have no discoloration from the attempted applications though. Perhaps because I cleaned it off right away...

  • Can I trade for white iPhone 4?

Hi everybody I am a real deal Apple Evangelist and I'm so glad to finally have the iPhone 4. At&t was gonna charge me a $500 deposit for that crap service but Verizon let me in with no problem so I'm loyal and happy. I bought my iPhone on the first of April and I'm kinda ticked off because I really wanted the white one but it's all good. Is it true that the return window is only 14 days? And after April of next year will I be eligible to upgrade to the 5 without paying the full unsubsidized price? But please let me know y'all because I really want the white one but if not I'd like to know if I will be able to upgrade next year and just be a year behind(not quite) which is ok with me.

Welcome to the Verizon family.  I've been happy (with exception of a couple of days) with it since 1996.  Yes it is true about the 14 day return policy - looks like this is not an option for you now.  You can upgrade after your year but I believe you will want to skip the white and upgrade to the newer generation phone that should be release later this year.  Keep you eyes on the tech forums and "use the force..."

  • ZAGG full body shield not really good for white iPhones

Ive installed one of these on my old black 3G....its nice until it start peeling cause of lint and dirt catching on the edges...
Since i got the white 3GS...i tried installing the ZAGG shield...i noticed after a few weeks its turning yellowish...its not a huge deal...but for guys who want to keep the bright white look this might be a let down...it actualy makes it look like the iphone white case is old

Yeah mine isn't looking that great on my white phone. I've had it like a month and it's a little yellow and the corners are dirty. That's my only real complaint though. It does a great job and protecting the phone itself. Unless you drop it. Which I don't plan to do. I've had all 3 iPhones and I just don't drop them. (fingers crossed. Lol)

  • Can i swap black iphone 4 for white iphone 4?

I am going to take my black iphone 4 back for a replacment because there is a fault in the screen, but i am wondering if instead of getting a black one in return i could have a white one? Please help:)

Probably not. Typically they replace a defective unit only with the exact same model. But you can ask Apple and see.
    Regards.

  • Exchanging black iphone 5 for white iphone 5

i know this might sound idiotic, but i recently had a change of heart of which color to get, i ordered a black iphone 5 and expect it to be here on the 28th but after doing further research on scratch issues with it I was wondering if i could go to my local verizon store and exchange it for a white one? quick replies will be helpful

Your only other option would be to contact VZW and address the request...but chances are it will cause you to be pushed back in the shipping order. Remember also that your 14 days starts on the day the phone ships, NOT the day that you activate it...always thought that was unfair but it's the way they do it. So technically, you may only have 12-13 days to exchange. Yes, it's only a day or two difference but those days can matter if you really needed them lol.

  • Square Trade Warranty for Verizon iPhone now $81

    Check it out

Thanks for the info in this forum. I bought it on Friday at this special price.  I have never lost a phone (and I have had them ever since they came out.)  I handle this WONDERFUL iPhone all the time, so I figured the odds were that I WOULD eventually drop it....or someone else could drop it.....you know those people who say LET ME SEE it and they grab it!  Glad I bought the plan!

  • IPhone 4 trade-in for iPhone 4S???

Will Verizon be cool enough to allow customers who recently purchased an iPhone 4 to trade-in for a iPhone 4S, like AT&T did in June???
    Check out the link:
    http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/10/buy-an-iphone-3gs-in-the-last-month-or-so-you-might-not-be-totally-boned-update-confirmed/

I would say be very careful about an upgrade. I followed precisely the instructions of returning my Pantech to receive a promotion upgrade credit for an Iphone 4.  Then  within the 14 days the Iphone 4 was dropping every call I made and so I phoned customer service and was told how to return the phone. They also suggested I wait to get the Iphone 4s and this could be done yada yada yada.  I followed their instruction to a "T" . I then found out the person didn't know what they were talking about and that the Pantech was donated and that even though I used a Fed Ex return slip that was included with the Iphone that I may end up having to pay for that Iphone because as the customer service rep said how would they know if I had not packed rocks in the box and they may not be able to locate the phone.  Even though I have confirmed with Fed Ex by the tracking number the phone was returned and received by them.  I did however during that phone call decide to record the entire conversation and have on a recorder him saying that the first customer service rep that instructed me on how to return them was incorrect not that - it will help me.  So waiting to see what is going to happen.  I would say do exactly what the MP- Ranger suggested -  Still waiting for my Iphone - waiting to see what happens this next week and if not writing the President certified and sending a copy of the tape. My suggestion is for them to make sure the service reps know what they are telling the customers is accurate - I am very dis-satisfied and have had Verizon for about 13 years. Don't assume the customer service people know what should be done - they don't I am proof of that!  Good Luck!

  • I want to quit my contract for an iPhone 6 on AT&T

I am fed up with Verizon.  I spent over an hour today at two different Apple stores just trying to get an ANSWER about the iPhone trade-in program.  When I checked in with my phone number, I was told that I was eligible for an exchange, given the price of the deal, and told to wait in line.  After waiting patiently, I was told that I would be unable to trade in my iPhone 5 for a $200 credit towards an iPhone 6 because I am not yet eligible for a new contract.  This was a COMPLETE surprise.  I know when I'm eligible for an upgrade.  But nothing in Verizon's advertising for the trade-in program conditions the trade-in on eligibility!  That's why everyone thinks it's an early trade in program.  AT&T has a similar program going on.  But they state in BOLD TEXT that the offer is NOT an early upgrade.  I want to know what the early termination fee would be on my contract.  After more than a decade with Verizon, I am ready to go back to AT&T.

Vanetris, I understand that the promotion is a Verizon promotion and not an Apple promotion.  I went to a Verizon store last night to take advantage of the promotion.  I checked in and said I was interested in upgrading.  The rep told me to go ahead and wait in line.  When I finally reached the representative, he told me that I am NOT allowed to participate in the iPhone trade in program, because my regular contract eligibility for a 2-year upgrade is not until January 29, 2015.  If this was incorrect information, please let me know.
I thought based upon the advertising that the iPhone trade-in program would allow any iPhone user to trade in for an iPhone 6 - not just users who have already passed their 2-year upgrade date.
