Transfer cidital database

Will some tell me what is the excat procedure for transfering the database to another computer.
I had a computer fail and replaced it with a temp laptop till I replaced it with a permanet computer several months ago.
I tried to transfer the dabase but it would not show trend data.
I cannot remember exactly what I did, just know it did not work.
Lookout ver 6.0.1

Take a look at this KB
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2B0C74744BB37391862571F500067C64?OpenDocument
If two computers are both working fine, you can use the MAX to archive the database from one computer to another.
If one computer has problem, and you only have the database files, just copy all the files to the destination computer. And follow the KB to attach the database.
To verify if the database is successfully attached, you can create trend viewer in MAX to view the trend.
And then, you need to tell Lookout to use this database. Configure the system default database in Option->System, or specify a database for the process in File->Modify Process.

Yes it is possible but database size should not be greater than 10 G as max databse size supported for Express 2012 is 10 G

SQL is the Database System Produced by Microsoft.
MySQL is a open source alternative to SQL and not affiliated with Microsoft in any way. In fact they are the competition.
The Microsoft Forum is propably not the best place to ask for MySQL Problems.
If you ask here, it's propably better asked in the
SQL Subforum (where people who work a lot with Databases frequent) rather then the Visual C# Forum.

  • What software can I use on my new Mac that no longer supports "AppleWorks"? To easily transfer my database for mailmerge.

What software can I use on my new Mac that no longer supports "AppleWorks"? To easily transfer my database for mailmerge.

    Two thoughts:
    (1)     It is possible that your Adobe software was the result of belonging to a now-discontinued Adobe Print Service Provider program where for a certain annual membership fee, print service providers were provided with (a) both a Windows and Macintosh license to the Adobe print-oriented software products (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and (b) special direct product support as well as the ability to put your name on Adobe's website as a member of this program. The program ended over a year ago if I remember correctly.
    (2)     You may wish to contact Adobe Customer Support (not Technical Support) and see if they can track down any and all licenses associated with your company. If you have the names of the former employees who worked with this software, it would be helpful. Likewise, if you were a member of the discontinued Adobe Print Service Provider program, you may have some options for upgrading/updating the software you have.
Unfortunately, you cannot get any more definitive information about your situation on these forums.
    Good luck.

  • Can I transfer appleworks databases to some other app in order to print mailing labels?

Can I transfer appleworks databases to Bento or elsewhere on my new MacBook Pro in order to print mailing labels, or do I have to re-enter all the information?

Word Processing documents can be opened directly in Pages 4 (AppleWorks 6 only) but this is no longer available - the newPages 5 (Mavericks required) does not open AppleWorks documents. Panergy Software's docXConverter v3.2 ($19.95) can convert Appleworks 5 and 6 Word Processing documents to RTF (though it has been reported that it can only handle documents which contain only text, not those which include images or frames). The latest version of the free LibreOffice has announced that it can open AppleWorks 6 Word Processing documents: it does appear to be able to handle at least some embedded images.
Draw Documents can be opened directly only in EazyDraw (the more expensive version from their website, not the cheaper one from the Mac App Store, and you will need v4.0 'Retro' not the most recent version) or Intaglio (though this appears not to be able to handle very complex drawings).
Spreadsheets can be opened directly only in the older versions of  Numbers - the new version for Mavericks will not do this. The old version is no longer available.
Presentations can be opened directly only in the older versions Keynote again the new version for Mavericks will not do this. The old version is no longer available.
To use other programs, or open Painting or Database documents at all, you must export from AppleWorks first. Nothing will open AW database documents.
If you have upgraded to Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks and have AppleWorks documents you cannot open, then you should be able to install Snow Leopard on an external hard disk and start from that (provided that the Mac did not come with anything higher than Snow Leopard originally installed); and success has been reported in running Snow Leopard under emulation in Parallels - the method is described here: it seems complex; however Snow Leopard Server may still be available in the Apple Store (by telephone) at a reduced price and this makes the process a lot easier. I haven't tried either method: use at your own discretion. You can then run AppleWorks as an emergency measure.

  • Data transfer between databases

    Dear forum,
there is two databases DB_our and DB_supplier. Data should be transferred from a view in DB_supplier into a table DB_our. Both databases are in the same LAN. There is also a scheduler (not from Oracle) which have to be used. It is able to launch unix scripts.
How to transfer and control the transfer most simple ?
The first idea: using database link and launch the process via stored procedure.
    Any more simple solution ?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi
There could be more than one solution and you need to choose the one which suits your needs.
    1) SQL*Plus COPY command
    2) Export/Import
    3) Data Pump (If you are on Oracle 10g)
    4) Replication
    5) Oracle Streams
    6) Database Links

  • Migrate/Transfer 9i Database to another OS

    Hi Friends,
We have a 9i Database residing on Fujitsu Solaris server. We want to migrate/transfer it to IBM AIX Server also same 9i Db version.
My question is, can I do this using transportable tablespace option? I know export/import is the "hardway" solution.
    Thanks a lot,
    Ms K

The datafiles of Oracle db are platform dependent and would be using "endian format" to recognize the o/s. In 10g, RMAN was given convert command which can get your files converted to the target platform and thus those files can be used in the tablespace transport. The same is there for a whole database as well. In 9i, I am afraid your option is limited to export/import only. Though the RMAN backups are platform independant but that won't help in your case since you would be moving on to a new platform.

  • HOWTO Transfer Oracle Database Tables to SAP

    hi
I need to import some Oracle Database Tables to the SAP Dictionary, i was wondering that id there is a short way to do this. If there is a progrm to be written then could any one send me the code.
And if there is another way then plz  do guide me.
    Thanx in Advance.
    Zahid

    Dear vasmi VaraPrasad!
I am grateful for ur time. I perfectly understand the logic you told me.
Now let me tell you what i have done so for in this regard by doing some googling and with the help of my respected teacher.
I made a connection entry in the DBCON table and specify all required things
    like
         NAME      =  MYCONNECTION
         DBMS      =  ORA
         USER      =  SABRO <my db user>
         PASSword  =  *********/********* <my db password>
INFO      =  FIRS <TNS Name to my db>
afte that i tried the following code.
    ===========================================
    REPORT Z_DB_1 .
    *Declaration
    DATA: WA TYPE <SAP_TABLE>.
    Init connection
    EXEC sql.
    connect to 'MYCONNECTION' as 'MYDB'
    ENDEXEC.
    Open connection
    EXEC sql.
    SET CONNECTION 'MYDB'
    ENDEXEC.
    Do your trick
    EXEC sql PERFORMING your_form.
SELECT * INTO :WA FROM <DB_TABLE>.
    ENDEXEC.
    Stop connection
    EXEC sql.
    disconnect 'MYDB'
    ENDEXEC.
    FORM your_form.
    WRITE: / wa-deptno, wa-dname, wa-loc.
    ENDFORM.
    ======================================================
now when i run this program it terminates with a runtime error that is:
"An error occured while setting up a connection to MYCONNECTION".
This  seems that there is some problem with the connection i don't know how to figure out what is wrong with this connection.
I think the problem is that SAP does not know the TNSNAMES file, or there might be some environment variables to be set so that SAP recognize or read that TNS NAME "FIRST".
    Regards
    Zahid Kareem.

  • How would I transfer the database on one iPod to another?

I have a 60GB Fifth Gen Video iPod and I am going to be upgrading to a new iPod and was wondering how to transfer EVERYTHING from my iPod to an iPod Classic or iPod Touch. I am not just asking how to transfer music, I know how to do that but how to I transfer information not stored in the MP3 such as last played, rating, play count, date added, ect..., playlists, photos, videos, notes, extras, games. It is especially important that I be able to transfer playlists and the most important information on my iPod (more important then the music) play count. Most of my playlists are arranged by play count and with out this info I could not find my music.

    Hi, Eduardo!
If you are seeking to move your iTunes Library to anothe PV via the iPod, here's a link showing how it's done, step by step:

  • Best way to data transfer between Database & XML & Display to end user

    Hi,
What is the best mothod to insert the data into tables from XML and viceversa. Also I need to display the data to the end user, with the provision to edit the data.
    Thanks in advance

If you want to edit and store the data completely in XML then you could do the following:
    1) Register the XML schema and specify a default table.
    2) Connect to the XDB repository and store your documents using FTP or WebDAV. Make sure they reference the registered schema in the instance header. This should load the underlying XMLTYPE table you specified as the default table.
    3) Connect to the repository with a WebDAV-aware XML editor.
And if you want to take this a little further, then you could also do the following:
    4) Create a relational view on top of your XML table using code similar to below.
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW "ACT_LIST" ("NAME", "CITE", "SORT", "JURISDICTION", "LOCATION") AS
    SELECT
    ExtractValue(OBJECT_VALUE, '/act/act_version/name[1]') Name
    , ExtractValue(OBJECT_VALUE, '/act/act_version/cite[1]') Cite
    , ExtractValue(OBJECT_VALUE, '/act/act_version/name[1]/@sort') Sort
    , ExtractValue(OBJECT_VALUE, '/act/@juris') Jurisdiction
    , b.ANY_PATH Location
    FROM
    ACTS a
    , RESOURCE_VIEW b
    WHERE
    Ref(a) = ExtractValue(b.RES, '/Resource/XMLRef')
    5) Put that into an application (e.g. APEX) as a report.
    6) Link from the report to the XML editor and pass the location of the document in the repository. Or you can use an embedded WYSIWYG XML editor so that they edit the document inside the application and the whole thing is fairly seamless for the user.
    Hope this helps.

  • Transfer of a database + applications

    Hi,
I have to transfer a database from A computer to B computer + applications. I did a full export and import I tested the applications, everything ok. For the final passing of database (there are 7 tables which modify in time, there are dependencies between these tables) how to do: to delete the database to recreate it and again continue with full export and import or there is also another method?
    Thank you,
    Mihaela

My understanding of your question is that there are referential integrity between these tables and while you were doing your export, the tables where changing, hence inconsistency in the export data.
If so, you do not need to drop and recreate database. You can export only those 7 tables (specifying parameter CONSISTENT=Y) from A computer, drop (or truncate) the those 7 tables already import in B computer, import only those 7 table to B computer.
    Hope this helps.
