Transfer purchase to another apple id

Hi All,
Anyone can help, my boss purchase apps using an existing apple ID but he wants to cancel this Apple ID and register a new one and then transfer all that he purchased to that new Apple ID
May I know , if this is possible and if yes, what is the procedures to do it?
Thanks in advanced!
Matt

This is Not possible... Anything Obtained with a Particular Apple ID is Tied to that Apple ID and cannot be Transfered to a different Apple ID...

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

  • HT1420 How can I transfer purchases to another Apple ID account?

I made an Apple ID trough iCloud and my family had another Apple ID that they use for purchases but i wanted to transfer apps that i bought from the other account so that they can be on my account now so that i can update them. Is there any way that i can do this? cause i dont want to go through all the trouble to re-download every app that i have.

As of the moment, transferring purchases between accounts is not an option. I suggest sending a feedback to Apple to improve their services.

  • Can I Transfer purchases to another Apple ID?

I have my personal Apple ID that I use for everything. I want to create another user profile on my macbook pro that I can use strictly for work. This will help my work be more focused and organized. I wasn't sure if I would be able to use the same Apple ID for two profiles on the same device. None the less I would like to create an Apple ID with my work email. There are several apps that would help benifit my work such as my Adobe CS6 package. Is there a way I could transfer those apps to the other profile? If so, would I still be able to use them on the original profile? Would it be more convienent to just use the same Apple ID for two different users? Thanks a lot for your help. It is much appreciated.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to use the same Apple ID for two profiles on the same device.
Sure you can. Imagine a family computer. The "owner" uses one apple-ID for System Software. Kids use their own Apple-Ids for their email and iTunes accounts. There is no conflict as long as one Apple-ID is one (login) account.
Is there a way I could transfer those apps to the other profile?
    Sorry, not at this time.
would I still be able to use them on the original profile?
Yes. Anything installed for All users can be launched by all Users, even if they have no Apple-ID of their own, or have a different one. But they could not Install Updates using a different Apple-ID.

  • Can multiple users access apps purchased from another Apple ID account?

I have several iMacs under my control. I need to find a way to download iLife using one Apple ID, so I can have all users on each machine to also have access to the updated iLife suite.
Is it possible for other users to access an app that was purchased from another Apple ID. If one purchases an app, does the machine allow access to all the users?
(I know those two last sentences are redundant, but I want to make sure everyone understands problem).
I've read countless articles on this, and can't seem to catch a break from the problem.

If this is in a school of some type or a corporate learning center with multipple Mac computers you should contact Apple directly and ask them for help in getting a version that can be installed on multiple Mac with out have to down the updates to each computer individually.

All apps are tied forever to the Apple ID used to obtain them, that is also true with In-App purchases.
Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

  • How do I transfer iTunes purchases to another apple ID (Account)

My daughter has been purchasing iTunes content using my Apple ID (account) for many years. I now have 5 macs for myself and she has a new laptop. This puts us over the 5 authorized computer limit. I have set up a new, separate apple ID (Account) for her to purchase new music. I would like to transfer the music that she has purchased under my account to her new account so I can de-authorize her computer from my account.
Is there a way to transfer the Apple ID (Ownership) of the iTunes content to another Apple ID (Account)

    Dave,
maybe my English isn't good enough, but I just scanned the iTunes legal agreement, and this is what I found:
(ii) You shall be authorized to use iTunes Products on five iTunes-authorized devices at any time, except for Content Rentals (see below).
(iii) You shall be able to store iTunes Products from up to five different Accounts at a time on compatible devices, provided that each iPhone may sync ringtone iTunes Products with only a single iTunes-authorized device at a time, and syncing an iPhone with a different iTunes-authorized device will cause ringtone iTunes Products stored on that iPhone to be erased.
(iv) You shall be authorized to burn an audio playlist up to seven times.
    (v) You shall not be entitled to burn video iTunes Products or ringtone iTunes Products.
(vi) iTunes Plus Products do not contain security technology that limits your usage of such products, and Usage Rules (ii) – (v) do not apply to iTunes Plus Products. You may copy, store, and burn iTunes Plus Products as reasonably necessary for personal, noncommercial use.
From my understanding this tells me that there are limitations to iTunes products, i. e. songs that you purchased, if they are not iTunes Plus songs. But as I said, I am not 100% certain, this Legalese stuff is really kinda hard to understand. But I still think that if you bought a DRM protected song on iTunes (meaning a non-Plus title), removing the protection is illegal!
And, sorry to say that, Dave, but in my opinion you are wrong by saying "when Apple dropped DRM from...". They did not do that. They introduced iTunes Plus, which is not DRM protected, but the old, non-Plus stuff, still is DRM protected, imo...

  • How to transfer purchases from one Apple ID to another?

    Hey guys,
I'm planning on creating a new Apple ID due to an email address change, but am worried that doing so will prevent me from reinstalling any purchases I have made with my old Apple ID.
Does anyone know a way to transfer my purchases from one Apple ID to another permanently?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
    Dan

It is not possible to merge two iTunes accounts.
Do yourself a favor, do not create a new iTunes account, simply update the account information for the one you already have.

I have been using my apple id for both mine and my daughter's purchases, but now I want to separate hers into her own apple id. Can I transfer purchases?

No, that's not possible unless Apple is willing to assist. You would need to open iTunes and click on the Accounts link under Quick Links then contact Apple about your question. Also see,

  • ITunes will NOT transfer purchases made via Apple TV - ATV HD is now FULL!

For an unknown reason, All of my recent PURCHASES made via Apple TV remain on ATV as they will NOT TRANSFER to my iTunes. Now my ATV drive is full.
No changes have been made to either configuration.

Please fix this issue. It's been around for a long long time.

Problem still exists. Have tried all suggestions that I have found so far on the web.
Resetting is not an option as I live in a RURAL are where the local ISP charges by Gbytes transferred.
The only option I see at this time is to hack the ATV to accept a USB drive and manually transfer.

  • Desktop App was purchased by another apple id now it will not renew

I Photo was registered by another Appl ID, now I cannot renew or update the app. I have deleted the app I still can not repurchase or renew the app? Any suggestions?

Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
    1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept it and the other iWork/iLife applications into your Apple ID, do so.
    2. Move them out of the Applications folder(they may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
    3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
    4. Buy them.

  • How to transfer purchases from one Apple account to another?

I've used my family's apple id for years, I've probably put $1000 into apps and music, but I'm finally moving out. My mom doesn't want me accessing her email so she's making me get my own id. I don't want to lose all the apps and games and data I have saved, so is there any way to transfer all those purchases to my account?

You will not be able to Transfer anything from your family's Apple ID to your New Apple ID.
Anything Purchased / Downloaded using the family Apple ID remains Tied to that Apple ID.

  • Transfer purchases from one Apple ID to another

Does anyone know how to do this?

You don't need to create a new Apple ID: you can change the address which forms the ID and login. This is the method:
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example  at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.

  • Is there a way to transfer purchase from old Apple ID to new one?

    Dear Apple and community
I used to use a gmail based Apple ID when I started using iPhone and @mac.com cost $99.00 /year. I had it for a while and I made a lot of purchase through that account. Now I look back into it there are a lot of content I would like to transfer to my current icloud ID. I understand these are two different accounts and they are both mine and I am the account owner. Does not make sense to buy the same content twice. Can you please show me the workflow where I can transfer these GMAIL based purchase to ICLOUD.
I would be much obliged to your help.
    Sincerely,
    Sam

There is none. Only the iTunes Store staff can do that, and they'll probably refuse; if you want to try anyway, click here and ask.

  • Issues after trying to transfer content from another Apple ID

    Hi....
I recently purchased a new computer and set up a new iTunes account on it. In an attempt to retrieve the music from my old iTunes library, I logged into with my sister's Apple ID to the iTunes store on my iPhone and transfered all purchases to my device. In doing this, the music from my new Apple ID was unable to play and I got a message stating, "This Device Is Already Associated With an Apple ID" along with some information on how you can only download past purchases on a device with one Apple ID every 90 days. So I plugged my phone into my computer and synced it to my new iTunes library and now it seems that all of my music is unable to play. Is there any way I can fix this? Or will I have to wait another 90 days before I can listen to music on my phone again.
