Transfering calendar from ipad

Hi
I've been reading and reading and I can't find an answer so I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I have an apple id, which happens to be an aol address, which has been used for itunes purchases (would like to keep that). WHen I started moving to icloud, I used that as the log in. I also have a .me address which ultimately I'd like to use as my primary icloud id. This way I can have my own calendar/contacts, but one acct for my whole family to use for purchases (I understand this shouldn't be a problem).
Right now, I have all my calendar appointments sitting on an ipad that is in airplane mode. They are on my icloud....work calendar (aka aol id), though not technically "in the cloud" yet.
I want to turn off airplane mode and get those appointments in the cloud. If I log into icloud.com right now, the calendar is empty. Will those existing appts push to the cloud, or will the blank calendar override and delete everything?
Now, let's say that works, at that point, can I get those appts moved over to my me.com id and make that my primary icloud log in?
Any help, advice would be most appreciated. For the record, I know at some point I need to upgrade my MBA to have icloud on there but I am hesitant to do so til I have that squared away. I'm fine logging in to icloud.com for the time being.

The only way that you can have a me address as an ID, is if you migrate from a mobile me account, Apple do not allow the creation of an ID using a me address. As I understand it, you have created an ID and been given the me address as an alternate address, even if you could have a me address as an ID, you cannot have that me address as an ID, as it is already used, by yourself.
As to the final part of your question, it is not clear to me whether the calendars you have on your phone are iCloud calendars or not. Regardless of which, I understand you are to create a new account and use that, which will involve deleting the account you currently use on your iPhone, at which point either 1) nothing will happen to your calendars, or 2) you will be asked if you wish to keep the calendars on your phone.
Having deleted your old account, created your new account and entered the details on your iPhone, you will then be asked if you wish to merge your calendars, when you turn on calendar syncing.
I would delete your old account before turning off aeroplane mode.

Delete All Calendars from iPad?

Simple question; hopefully a simple solution.
I want to delete all calendars from my iPad2, so that I can then copy the calendars from my Mac onto it?
I want all of the data deleted from my iPad, and don't want it to show back up again.
Like I said, it should have a simple solution.

Repeat the same procedure for all calendars.
If the calendars came in via an Exchange account, you can remove the calendar syncing by editing the exchange account (settings -> mail, contacts and calendar -> accounts) and switch "calendar" in this (http://blog.fosketts.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Exchange-Account-MCC.png) dialog to off.

Exchange calendar from iPad doesn't sync with iCal

Hi there, I hope this is the right community to post my problem....
OK, I'm using an iPad 3 (iOS 5.1) which syncs rather nice with the Exchange account (mail, contacts, calendar) of my company.
But if I try to sync the Exchange calendar from the iPad via iTunes with my Mac at home (24'' iMac DualCore 2006, OS10.6.8) the Exchange calendar won't show up in iCal. Every other calendar I created for test showed up just fine...but not the one I sync'd with my Exchange.
Any idea how I get this to work ?

Syncing your Exchange calendar on your Mac through your iPad isn't the best approach. What you should do instead is sync your Mac with Exchange directly. In other words, treat the iPad--Exchange sync and the Mac--Exchange sync independently. This is what I do, and it works great on my Mac.
Your iPad--Exchange setup is working fine, so leave that alone. Turning then to the Mac-Exchange setup, I'm not in front of my Mac at the moment, but basically to set up Exchange on your Mac, go into the email preferences and select new account. Configure it as an Exchange account and enter the relevant information. You will need to know the "EWS" (Exchange Web Service) address... it is usually something like "outlook.companyname.com" and your regular login info. For me, it was the same web address as if I wanted to access my email from a webpage using the MS Outlook Web Access feature. Your IT folks can help with this if necessary.
Once you set this up, you can also sync calendars, reminders, and contacts onto your Mac too. And the best part is that this will sync with your iPad!

Itunes 9.2 Not transferring purchases from iPad to Laptop

I've never had a problem transferring applications from Iphone -> iPhone 3G -> iPhone 3GS -> iPad. But today, when I was attempting to transfer my applications to the iPhone 4, they did not appear.
2 Hours of troubleshooting (and a few calls to apple), I've discovered the following:
1) The applications are not being synced onto the laptop. This can be detected in two (2) ways - first, there is an exclamation mark beside the app, missing artwork (seen through the iTunes Library / Apps Screen) - Second, Get Info displays an error message, "The applications could not be used, because the original file could not be found", finally, the "Mobile Applications" directory on my laptop doesn't have the file. It really isn't being transferred onto my laptop.
I've tried the following diagnostic steps
1) Power Cycle Everything.
2) Right Click on the Device, and click on "Transfer Purchases" (though Apple swears this should be automatic)
I am able to download the applications onto my iPhone 4, and I'm not charged for them - but, getting them onto the iPhone 4 that way will probably take me the next four - five hours of determining which ones are missing, and downloading them one at a time.
Anybody else run into this problem and come up with an innovative solution?

Transfering docs from iPad to Mac doesn't work

I have 2 iPads: iPad 1 and iPad 2. I bought iPad 2 a month ago and –using Snow Leopard– I could
transfer all my documents from iPad 1 to my Mac. After that, I loaded my new iPad 2 with the same
documents from Mac. I have updated to Lion and to iTunes 10.4 but now I see that I can't transfer
the documents from my iPads. For example, when selecting GoodReader, I can see only a partial
list of documents (in both iPads), so I could never transfer the whole set of documents. There is now
another problem: I selected this partial list of documents in order to transfer them to Mac, but when
the transfer process detect a folder, the transfer stops indicating an error. In the following figure,
BPM-SOA is just a folder, and it only says "an error is produced" and "the file is not found" without further information.
I deduce this problem is relatied with Lion/iTunes 10.4 as the same iPad 1 from which I tranfered all
my documents, now it only shows the partial list of documents (ending in NUI Natural User...) but I
have documents whose names begin with 'Z'. So, the set of documents between N and Z dissapeared
while when I transfered all the documents with Snow Leopard and iTunes 10.3 all worked fine and I have
a folder with the complete list of documents. I have a MacBook aluminiun, 13'' , 2 Gz Intel Core 2 duo, 4 Gb RAM,
an iPad 1 wifi 32 Gb and an iPad 2 wifi 64 Gb.

the GoodReaderUSB tool allows you to transfer entire folders into GoodReader without loosing the folder/file structure. also you can do the same in reverse using the tool. ie transfer everything from your iPad back onto your desktop.

Transfering calendar from MobileMe to icloud.

When I transfered calendar, contacts and mail to icloud from MobileMe the only thing that worked was contacts. My mail is not working yet. And iCloud does not recognize my existing calendars from MobileMe. When I look on Outlook all I see are blank calendars. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can only import photos in the camera roll, not synced photos. So I assume that you want to transfer the photos that you shot with the iPad camera. You can use iPhoto or Image Capture on the MBA.
Just connect the iPad to the Mac with the cable and launch either of those two apps. Your iPad should appear under the devices heading in the left sidebar of the app. Click on the iPad name just like you do when you sync with iTunes and the camera roll photos should appear in the window on the right.

Hi, my iPad drops thumbs from Quicktimes. I've read a tip to create a new video playlist in iTunes library on Macbook then transfer the new library back to iPad. I can't reload the files to iTunes library from my Macbook because they're not on it. Recover lost contacts and calendar from iPad

Hi All.
My dad has an iPad 1 which he uses for work, in particular the contacts and calendar. Earlier this week he said he switched it on and it was as if the iPad had lost all its settings. There was no WiFi to home router and all his contacts and calendar were missing. He re-setup the WiFi but cannot get his missing contacts and calendar back. He had made some major changes and additions since his last sync with the pc and Outlook so a re-sync will not be good enough. Looking around online, others have had the same problem and some people say that the data is still there. There is also mention of a programme called Dr Fone which apparantly scan the iPad and can recover this data. Has anyone tried this or can anyone suggest another way of getting this data back? Its really important.

Missing calendars from iPad

I have 3 calendars synced from yahoo to iPad; however only 1 of them is showing on the iPad. Upgraded to ios5 Sun and all calendars were showing up on iPad until today. All calendars are checked but still only 1 of them shows up. Any ideas?

Twilight Zone! All calendar entries showed up today! I did try different things (mostly tied to iCloud sync) so cannot nail down exactly what might have worked.
