Trigger on SYS owned tables/views

Hello DBA's,
I need to achive something.. for which I have to write a trigger on SYS owned tables/views.
My question is, IS IT POSSIBLE TO WRITE A TRIGGER ON SYS OWNED OBJECTS?. If so please provide me simple example.
Depending on the value which will be inserted or updated into to this sys.views/sys.tables, I have to submit "job" which will inturn does some operation depending on the "value" which was inserted or updated on this view/table.
Thankz in advance..
Binny

Justin,
I will give some simple example...
User-1 is created procedure... it will be in valid state.. after some time this procedure will be invalidated...(due to some other procedure creation, etc)..
Stage1, during successful creation of procedure the status will be VALID (in DBA_OBJECTS)
Stage2, the status will be INVALID..
I need to write a trigger for this status change in dba_objects.. The status change will be caused due to some other operation..
Is it possible to write a trigger at the point of status change? if so how?.
This is the simple example I have remembered.
Let me about this..
Thankz

  • How to override limitation of no triggers on SYS owned tables?

    Hi!
I haven't got any answers to my earlier question so I try to make it simple now...
Anybody have any ideas how I could override Oracles limitation of allowing no triggers on SYS owned tables?
I would need a trigger on SYS.AUD$ that would fire and start a stored procedure every time a new audit record is inserted.
    Best regards,
    Teo Laitinen
    Student

    University of Jyvdskyld

You cannot override Oracle's restrictions of triggers on SYS tables. You could, however, do a workaround to populate this other table with data from sys.aud$ when an audit row is inserted into that table.
    1. You could set AUDIT_TRAIL to OS and set AUDIT_TRAIL_DEST to wherever you want the file written. You could then write a program in any number of languages to format this output file and kick off a SQL*Loader session to load it into your table. The program could be scheduled to execute at a time interval, such as every five minutes.
    2. You could write a scheduled program to check for new records in sys.aud$ and execute INSERT INTO...SELECT statements to load your new table.
    Hope this helps!

  • Is it able to refresh the table view automaticlly after trigger an event?

    Hi expert,
I have one table view and a "Delete" button, each time when the user click the del button, it will delete the row which is selected via a RFC module in the backend, afterwards, I want this table view to be refreshed and read the real data from backend via another function module, is it possible? how could I do it?
    Thanks and best regards

Let me do some summarize if my understanding is correct
    1. Use a timer as "start" point of a table view, set the "interval" to be 0.05 minute
    2. use the condition in the timer with a formula (BOOL(STORE@RETURN_CODE==0)).
    3. If I trigger one event in the "table view", for example, a "Delete" event and it will return the result RETURN_CODE = 0 to datastore
    4. Afterwards, if the time interval of the timer has been reached, 1st it will evaluate the value of the datastore and decide whether to refresh the table view.
    Am I right?
Just as you mentioned before, it is not a perfect solution, as we may still wait for the timer to be triggered after a few seconds.
    Thanks for your answer.

  • Restricting SYS user to View other schema's Tables

    Hi All,
    Oracle DB Version - 10R2
    O/S - UNIX
    Could anyone share docs or steps to prevent SYS user to view other schema's tables;
    Thanks,
    Deepak

    Dear Deepak_DBA,
If you revoke every privilege and role from the SYS user i presume the SYS will continue to select any table from the relevant schema. SYS is a special user and not like the others.
    For instance if you want to revoke the SYSDBA and the SYSOPER from the SYS user;
    SQL> revoke sysdba, sysoper from sys;
    revoke sysdba, sysoper from sys
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01998: REVOKE failed: user SYS always has SYSOPER and SYSDBAI have never seen such documentation that describes how to revoke everything or at least the SELECT ANY TABLE privilege from the SYS user.
    Please see more about the SYS and the SYSTEM users;

  • Reuse of table view in mine own view.

    Hi experts,
I have reused a view from standard component BP_DATA ( marketing attribute : table view ) into my component.
I have created a component usage for BP_DATA and then i have assigned the usage are to a view set and then that view set is assigned to window directly.
When i am launching Web UI , I am getting the view area only.
Couple of requirements further is :
    1. To assign the title to that area.
    2. To have the table view fields available on view area.
view area in in black border in Screenshot attached.
    Kindly advice.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
I would try to answer your questions:
    1. To assign the title to that area.
Try to find a method *descrition* in IMPL class
    2. To have the table view fields available on view area
Generally if you add a view (a) inside view set (b) - in runtime to make field visible there should be similar kind configuration in view with configuration key object type etc. used in viewset; it means viewset configuration crietria gets precedence unless there is a BADI implemented for the view to alter the criteria.
So please check configuration and BADI CRM*VIEW*CONFIG
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

  • :: NWA does not show table view for monitoring reports ::

    Hi,
We are facing an issue in one of our portal system.
I click on Portal index page, then I go to Net weaver Administrator --> Monitoring --> Java system reports.
Here I get the resource utilization graphs.
The graphs show proper values however when I click on table view it does not show any value or table at all.
Then I click on Settings button, and click on Persistent radio button.
It asks to enter the number of days for which the the data should be stored.
I gave it as 2 days and click on Apply button.
It shows a message saying "changes would be effective after restarting monitoring service".
However when I go there i.e. NWA --> Administration --> Applications
    I get below services
    cafruntimemonitoring~ear

I think what is being asked is "How do I expose a database view as a schema table in Configuration Manager?"
This is accomplished by creating a database view within the WCC database schema (and with the WCC schema user as the view owner). The view then will appear as a table in the "table" tab in Configuration Manager.
One caveat in 11g is that the user created by RCU does not have any privileges to read/create views in its own schema. You may need to grant privileges to views for the WCC schema user before this will work.

  • Table view in EHP1 CRM 7.0

How to create a table view in ehp1 CRM.
Is it the same way by creating a view and adding value node /model node then selecting view as table view with congigurable mode?

    Hi Anita,
As per your requirement, AET table enhancement will be best suited to it.
Use the help.sap.com link i gave in earlier reply to know more about  AET table enhancements.
Now to get on to this task ,
    1) Use transaction AXTSYS and create an entry for Z component, give a name say ZAET_TBLEXT.
and Save. The AET Table extension, then will use this component by default( if you select the radio button there) to create the views. Remember, just give any name you desire for the component. You dont need to create this componenet. AET extension wizard will create the component automatically.
    2) Open the overview page on which you would like to have the tableview as an assignment block. Since its a compititor info, i assume you want to place it on a BP/Account/Prospect. Competitor Overview Page or Opportunity Overview Page. Now chose the config button and once the Assignment blocks are highlighted, select the Header View( Compititor header or Opportunity header view depending on the overview page you are in) and config tool will open. Use the Display Enhancement button or create enhancement button and another popup will open which display the enhancements if any,
    3) On this Pop up you will see the AET table extensions assignment block. Use the Add table button. Follow the wizard and create the table, mention fields, translations etc. Also mention it as 1:n relation and so the table view. Chose the Standard buttons so you get all action buttons as well as inser, editlist, delete buttons etc.
Once done, save and generate. This creates the view and also adds the component usage on overviewpage.
Now all you need to do is just configure the overviewpag to pull the new tableview assignment block from Available to Displayed blocks.
    Note :
    1) this creates a Ztable , name same as mentioned/defaulted while AET table enahncement
    2) this create Z BOL entity with 1:n relation with Access Entity of OverviewPage , for example, BuilHeader if account overview page or BTAdminH if Opportunity overview page.
    3) creates BOL strucutre, handler class etc on its own.
    4) You do not need to do any coding,
Thus in half an hour, you are done with Table view enhancement with Z table based entities.
Before EhP1, we had to extend the BT/BP model with ZBOL and had to do a lot of thigs on our own. Almost 2 days job for an advance developer which is reduced to 15-20 minutes with zero coding required.
If you have a sandbox or IDES system, i would recommand you to try it there frst, get confident and then do development on your development system.
    Remember ->
    1) AET Enhancement tool has to be started from WEB UI - which is generally runs on Customizing client, but creating AET table and enhancements is Workbench task. So if your customizing client is locked for workbench developments, then You must run the WEBUI on your workbench client ( use transaction wui ). It does not make any difference as far as development is concerned because your development its pure Workbench activity. later, you configure the Overview Page to pull the AET table view on your customizing client.
    2) Be confident and have well determined about the table design & about your table view design like the fields you need etc. because once you add the fields and mention the field type like Numeric, indicator, text etc, you can not change it later once the Tableview is generated. You can add more fields later and you can delete fields too but you can not change their type later.
    All the best.
    Thanks & Regards

  • New field in a table view

    Hi experts!
I have a problem in CRM version 6. Iu2019m trying implementing the One Click Action (OCA) in a new table view. The context node shows the original BOL structure correctly. So, I redefined the method GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE and inserted the following code line:
    thtmlb_oca type crm_thtmlb_one_click_action
The method compiled successfully. However the field THTMLB_OCA isnu2019t displayed at the list of context node and configuration tabstrip too.
I tried putting other fields, such as names and descriptions, but they arenu2019t displayed either.
Is it a bug in BSP_WD_CMPWB?
    Regarding,
    André

    Hi Andre,
you still have to implement a method GET_THTMLB_OCA, because the THTMLB_OCA  is not a BOL attribute, it will not be displayed automatically by the UI Config Tool.
The GET_THTMLB_OCA has to return a list of OCA that you want to have in table view.
Additional to GET_THTMLB_OCA, you might have to implement GET_P_THTMLB_OCA as well.
The P-Getter is used to determine what event is trigger if the OCA is clicked.

    Steve

    Hi,TongucY
Compared with the "Referencing Clause with Nested Tables" part of this reference -
http://psoug.org/reference/instead_of_trigger.html, I found the answer of this
quesion. That is "CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE " VARRAY_DEPT_SEQ" as[b] varray(930) of
DEPT". It turns to be a varying array, not a nested table. It should be "CREATE OR
REPLACE TYPE " VARRAY_DEPT_SEQ" as table of DEPT". That is OK. Thank you very
    much!
While there is an another question, if I create a varying array like" CREATE OR
    REPLACE TYPE " VARRAY_DEPT_SEQ" as[b] varray(930) of DEPT " and I want to insert
a record into the varying array, which the record has been existed. The method that
create a view and a trigger seems not to be effective.
    For instance,
There is a record in the table
    ID:1020
    CREATE_DATE:2005-10-20
    UPDATE_DATE:2007-2-11
    DETPS: ((10225,AMY))
I want to ask this record to be
    ID:1020
    CREATE_DATE:2005-10-20
    UPDATE_DATE:2007-2-11
    DETPS: ((10225,AMY),(10558,TOM))
    How should I do?
    Could you please help me?
    Best regards.

  • Multi layer table view/navigation controller hierarchy best practice

    Hi,
I am new to iPad/iPhone development and wondering what the best practice for multiple layers of table views is? I understand the principle of a navigation controller providing the framework for moving up and down a list but have not yet quite got my head around if you should have one navigation controller for the whole tree or several navigation controllers.
In my app I need to have the following:
Main view -> window view showing some interactive elements (picker, buttons etc.)
Setup view -> Hierarchy managed by nav controller/table views
The setup view needs to manage the following hierarchy...
    - Level A:
    - Global app variables (one table view)
    - Level B Items (table view showing list of items at belonging to Level B)
    - Level B Item 1 (table view showing list of items at level C belonging to level B item 1)
    - Level C Item 1 (table view showing list of items at level D belonging to level C item 1)
    - Level D Item 1 (table view showing list of items at level E belonging to level D item 1)
    - Level E item (table view for properties of item at Level E)
    - Level D Item n
    - Level C Item n
    - Level B Item n
Each level in this has some properties and then a list of child items.
What would be the best way of structuring this? I would assume that creating a class that extends a view controller for each level is a given but what about the control of the navigation? Should this be handled by one navigation controller or one per level? I think I know the right answer but have not seen a neat way of implementing
I think I am also best off having each level in it's own xib but, once again, am not 100% sure that this is the best design pattern.
Many thanks in advance for any help/pointers!
    Cheers
    jez

    Hi Julian,
I have struggled with the same questions you are addressing. On a previous project we tried to model based on packages, but during the course of the project we encountered some problems that grew overtime. The main problems were:
    1. It is hard to enforce rules on package assignments
    2. With multiple developers on the project and limited time we didn't have time to review package assignment
    3. Devopelers would click away warnings that an object was already part of another project and just continue
    4. After go-live the maintenance partner didn't care.
So, my experience is is that it is a nice feature, but only from a high level design point of view. In real life it will get messy and above all, it doesn't add much value to the development. On my neew assignment we are just working with packages based on functional area and that works just fine.

  • Keynote '09 Light table view causes crash on Retina MacBook Pro

I just discovered a problem with Keynote '09 (V. 5.1.1, build 1034) on my MacBook Pro 15'' Retina (2.7 GHz Intel Core i7; 16 GB RAM, 1600 MHz DDR3, under Lion version 10.7.4).   More often than not, when I go into "Light Table" view, Keynote suddenly crashes with a dialog box quickly flashing on and off, so rapidly that it cannot be read.  The only way out of Keynote when this happens is to Force Quit.   This does not happen on any of my other Macs (MB Air, iMac, older MB Pro).  I suspect it has something to do with the Retina display model.   Any advice?

More about my post:  Actually, I since discovered the problem occurs on another computer running Snow Leopard and appears to be unique to this one Keynote document.   I solved my own problem by copying the screens from the allegedly-corrupt document to a new document.  There is no problem with Light Table mode in the new document.   Never had this problem with Keynote before, which I've been using more than any almost any other app since 2006 in connection with my work.

  • TREE -  Built Only on Tables/Views Found in Application Schemas

    Problem
When creating a "TREE" region using the wizard it prompts for a "schema name". The problem is that the table/view I would like to build a "TREE" on does not exist in the schemas listed by the wizard. Only the schemas that are associated with applications in the workspace are listed. It is not possible to base a "TREE" on a table/view that exists outside those schemas listed. This is a point of frustration because the parsing schema/user for my app has privileges to select from the table/view in the non-listed schema.
    Example
Here is an example I tried. I want to create a tree of all breadcrumb entries (breadcrumb map) in a selected app. I used the data-dictionary view apex_application_bc_entries that is owned by FLOWS_020200. The view apex_application_bc_entries has a public synonym. My parsing schema user can select from that view.
I selected create a TREE "Based on a SQL Query"
    SELECT aabe.breadcrumb_entry_id id
    ,aabe.parent_breadcrumb_id pid
    ,aabe.entry_label name
    ,aabe.url link
    ,null a1
    ,null a2
    FROM apex_application_bc_entries aabe
    WHERE application_id = :P20_APPLICATION_ID
I'm using apex version build 2.2.0.00.32.
    Comment
I understand a possible workaround would be to build a view of apex_application_bc_entries. That would be a "view of a view" and I prefer not to do that.
    Thoughts?

  • Editing scroll view frame size in IB causes table view to change

I suppose this is a continuation of the problems I was having with the table view resizing: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2618816&tstart=0.
I have a controller which needs to have a scroll view with numerous elements attached to it, including a table view.
I have performed the following steps:
    - Set the simulated interface elements of the owning view to a nav bar.
    - Added a scroll view to the main view in the nib file.
    - Set the file owner view controller subclass' view to the scroll view.
    - Set the contentSize of the scroll view to the desired size in viewDidLoad.
The problem is that the table view size/position are incorrect when I load the view in the iPhone simulator if I change the scroll view's frame size from 320x460. Basically, every time the scroll view frame size is changed, it causes the scroll view position and size to change.
However, there are times I want to make the scroll view's frame size bigger in order to edit items that might be offscreen when the application is first loaded, which becomes awkward if the size of the view in IB or in code without causing the table view size/position to change. I keep having to change the size of the scroll view frame, edit the items, change it back to 320x460, and then fix the table view.
Is there a way around this, such as a way to locking the size of a table?

    Hi Kaspars,
I would say there is atm no possibility to change the table view size dynamicly, because you can't input a formula into the size field so the size is fixed as you enter it.
    Best Regards,

I just set up a new machine, the database settings are same as in the old machine. But I cannot see the table/view names when expending the "+" sign before Tables or Views. When using "select * from tab", the result of all tables/views returns correctly. Is there any other settings I missed?
I'm using Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, and Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.5.

The same issue exists in 2.1.1.64.39
All of a sudden: list of tables empty, views still viewable, tables are still there though.
In the logging window I get ora-904 messages on sys.o.name
