Trigger with entire row

Hi all!
I've a before insert trigger.
I want to call a procedure within this trigger, with a record input param.
How can I pass the ":NEW" as a record type?
Thanks!

unfortunatly this is not possible.
You have to pass all :NEW values separately. Or transfer then to a rowtype first like:
declare
   v_new_row table%rowtype;
begin
  v_new_row.col1 := :NEW.col1;
  v_new_row.col2 := :NEW.col2;
  v_new_row.col3 := :NEW.col3;
  v_new_row.col4 := :NEW.col4;
  v_new_row.col5 := :NEW.col5;
  v_new_row.col6 := :NEW.col6;
  do_something(v_new_row);

  • Selecting an entire row with the help of Checkbox

    Hi and Evening to Everybody,
    I have a Scenario where i need to select an entire row using the check box. Let me first define the Situation. I created a Simple Sql-report where the first column is a Simple Checkbox and the second column is a display only name and followed by the rest 5 columns as a checkbox.
    my table structure is :
    **create table satt (SELECT_ALL VARCHAR2(10), Name VARCHAR2(50), Object1 VARCHAR2(10), Object2 VARCHAR2(10), Object3 VARCHAR2(10), Object4 VARCHAR2(10), Object5 VARCHAR2(10));**
    Now i had a requirement where i need to Check All or Uncheck All Checkbox by clicking SELECT_ALL column header and i made it using
    simple java-script :
    "<input type="Checkbox" onclick="$f_CheckFirstColumn(this)">"
    Now i need to Check all checkbox in a row by clicking any of the SELECT_ALL check boxes. (Say i have 5 checkboxes in SELECT_ALL column and if i click 3rd checkbox... i need the entire 3rd row checkbox to be checked on click of that 3rd check box).
    I hope i was clear with my question. i did my best. Please help me out with this... Im eagerly lookin for the solutions.
    Thanks & Regards,

    '1 Physics'||chr(10)||'2 Chemistry'||chr(10)||'3 Mathematics'

    select a,replace(b,chr(10),chr(10)||a||' ') from table;

  • How to change the semantic color of entire rows in a table.

    Hi, in the past I already managed to change the semantic color of a cell by a condition (for example all the cells with negative number -> I set negative semantic color)
    My question is how can I change the semantic color of the entire row where this cell belong, and not only the cell. Im using NW2004.
    BTW, Im not a java programmer, neither a Webdynpro expert, just an ABAP Programmer. So try to be very explicit, Thx.

    Rodrigo,
    You can just bind correspondign property of every cell editor (TextView) of every column to the very same context attribute. Next, when you change attribute value for certain elemnt, the whole row (every cell editor in row) will get same value.

  • How do you set the font color for a specific entire row inside a JTable?

    How do you set the font color for a specific entire row inside a JTable?
    I want to change the font color for only a couple of rows inside a JTable.
    I've seen some ways to possibly do this with an individual cell.
    Clarification on changing the font color in an individual cell would be helpful too if
    there is no easy way to do this for a row.

    hai,
    Try out with this piece of code.Create your table and assign the renderer to each column in the table.
    CellColorRenderer m_CellColorRenderer = new CellColorRenderer();
    for(int i=0;i<your_JTable.getColumnCount();i++)
    your_JTable.getColumnModel().getColumn(i).setCellRenderer(m_CellColorRenderer);
    class CellColorRenderer extends JLabel implements TableCellRenderer
    CellColorRenderer()
    setOpaque(true);
    setHorizontalAlignment(LEFT);
    setVerticalAlignment(CENTER);
    setBackground(Color.white);
    setForeground(Color.black);
    protected void setValue(Object value)
         setText((value == null) ? "" : value.toString());
    public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table,Object value,boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row,int column)

  • Problem with multi row delete

    Hi, I'm new in apex and I tried to build master detail report on some view. Everything is cool but "delete checked" doesn't work.
    "ORA-20001: Error in multi row delete operation: row= , ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: NULL index table key value,"
    the problem is that I don't know what is wrong :), I have a special trigger "instead of delete on MY_VIEW", but in this error problem is not explained.
    Anybody knows what can be wrong? It is probably a problem with trigger or multi row doesn't work with views? I couldn't find how MRD knows what kind of statement use to delete rows so I don't know if the statement that program used is correct. In debug it lokks that:
    0.32: ...Do not run process "ApplyMRU", process point=AFTER_SUBMIT, condition type=REQUEST_IN_CONDITION, when button pressed=
    0.32: ...Process "ApplyMRD": MULTI_ROW_DELETE (AFTER_SUBMIT) #OWNER#:MY_VIEW:ITEM1:ITEM2
    0.33: Show ERROR page...
    0.33: Performing rollback...
    thanks for any help
    //sorry for english mistakes
    edit: it doesn't matter if I use in trigger delete from ... where item1=:OLD.item1 ; or if I use item1=:P4_item1 (which actually saves correct values)
    Edited by: user5931224 on 2009-06-13 08:55

    I realised that this is not a problem with trigger, I changed trigger to "NULL;" and problem is the same. Maybe sb used master detail on view not only on tables and know what can be wrong in this situation?

  • How do I copy content from an entire row into a different table?

    How do I copy content from an entire row of one table into a different table?  When I try to copy/paste the selected row into a row of the same size  and configuration in another table in the same document, the cells change width, the formatting and border thicknesses change, and the text gets squeezed.  When I was working with tables in Microsoft Word, there was no problem selecting text from a row in one table and placing it into a similar row and configuration in another table.

    Hi Christopher Morgan
    And welcome to apple discussions. With regard to your main question ....
    Q: Can this be done?
    A: It can but not easily (in that you may take a hit in quality). Apps like MpegStream Clip or DVDXDV may help:
    http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.products.htm
    It converts it back to a QT file for use with iDvd (or iMovie).
    Hope this helps but if not just come on back.

  • How to return the entire row from a table

    Hi guys,
    Tabl A
    FirstName varchar2(10),
    Age Number,
    Add varchar2(100),
    Table B
    Filedname varchar2(200), -- contains all the fields of table A
    Datatype varchar2(100), -- Contains the datatypes of the filedname
    Length Number -- contains the length of the fileds
    Now how can i return the entire row from table A with the datatype and its length.
    Any help would be appreciated ?
    Here is the query I wrote but it how to take the datatype and its length..
    create or replace procedure disp_table_data
    as
    type r_cursor is REF CURSOR;
    c_A r_cursor;
    er A%rowtype;
    begin
    open c_A for select * from A;
    loop
    fetch c_A into er;
    exit when c_A%notfound;
    dbms_output.put_line(er.FirstName||'--'||er.Age);
    end loop;
    close c_A;
    END;
    /

    Guys,
    I want column value from table A and its corresponding data_type and length from table B. I think I cant do it through joins.
    Any idea would be appreciated ?.
    Example ..
    Tabl A
    FirstName varchar2(10),
    Age Number,
    Add varchar2(100)
    insert into A values('John',24,'Boston');
    Table B
    Filedname varchar2(200), -- contains all the fields of table A
    Datatype varchar2(100), -- Contains the datatypes of the filedname
    Length Number -- contains the length of the fileds
    insert into B values('FirstName','varchar2',10); -- this is coming from table A.
    Output should be like this...
    John,Varchar2,10
    Here (John is the FirstName - coming from table A, Varchar2 is a Datatype and 10 is the Length which are coming from table B ). Only column values are coming from table A , corresponding datatype and length are coming from B.
    Any idea would be appreciated ?
    Thanks.

  • Performance problem on a table with zero rows

    I queried the v$sqlarea table to find which SQL statement was doing the most disk reads and it turned out to be a query that read 278 Gigabytes from a table which usually has zero rows. This query runs every minute and reads any rows that are in the table. It does not do any joins. The process then processes the rows and deletes them from the table. Over the course of a day, a few thousand rows may be processed this way with a row length of about 80 bytes. This amounts to a few kilobytes, not 278 Gig over a couple of days. Buffer gets were even higher at 295 Gig. Note that only the query that reads the table is doing these disk reads, not the rest of the process.
    There are no indexes on the table, so a full table scan is done. The query reads all the rows, but usually there are zero. I checked the size of the table in dba_segments, and it was 80 Meg. At one point months ago, during a load, the table had 80 Meg of data in it, but this was deleted after being processed. The size of the table was never reduced.
    I can only assume that Oracle is doing a full table scan on all 80 Meg of this table every minute. Even when there are zero rows. Dividing the buffer gets in bytes by the number of executions yields 72 Meg which is close to the table size. Oracle is reading the entire table size from disk even when the table has zero rows.
    The solution was to truncate the table. This helped immediately and reduced the disk reads to zero most of the time. The buffer gets were also reduced to 3 per execution when the table was empty. The automatic segment manager reduced the size of the table to 64k overnight.
    Our buffer cache hit ratio was a dismal 72%. It should go up now that this problem has been resolved.
    Table statistics are gathered every week. We are running Oracle 9.2 on Solaris.
    Note that this problem is already resolved. I post it because it is an interesting case.

    Kevin,
    The solution was to truncate the tableThis is not a scoop... isn't it ?
    Table statistics are gathered every weekIs there any reason for that ?
    If stats ran when no rows, perf can be very bad after loading data, and if stats ran when thousand rows, perf can be very bad after deleting. Perhaps can you find a more restrictive stat running ?

  • BEx Browser BEx Workbook: No "Insert Entire Row" Option

    We have a workbook with 2 queries embedded in it. Query 1 starts on Row 10 and Query 2 starts on Row 15. When the workbook is launched from Analyzer, we receive a popup window that has the title "SAP BEx: Not Enough Cells to Display Results" and it provides us with 3 options:
    1) Overwrite Existing Cells
    2) Insert cells below the results area
    3) insert entire rows
    When we launch the same workbook through BEx Browser, this popup window does not appear, which causes the results to be displayed in error.
    I was wondering if anyone came across this situation and what was your fix.
    We do not have the option of moving the queries to separate tabs on the workbook.  We have also attempted to write a macro that would launch both queries with many, many rows between them and then have the macro delete the blank rows in between them so that the two queries are together in the worksheet.  But the issue here is that the macro works when we launch the Workbook through BEx Analyzer, but when the same workbook is launched through BEx Browser, the macro is not processed.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi P-Dup,
    Just pass by and see this thread, maybe this helps you: I have the same issue, I simply remove the query from its worksheet, create a new worksheet and insert this same query in the new worksheet. It works then for me. (You might reuse the same worksheet, but I prefer clean one).
    Please note that if you have other worksheets with formula refering to this query, the query worksheet should be copied to another worksheet and these formula should be link to this result worksheet (search and replace). It is not good to refer directly to the query worksheet though. Otherwise you would loose the references.
    Hope that helps you.
    Cheers
    Hoang

  • How to trigger the automated row fetch process and open modal window by javascript api?

    Hi,
    I would like to click the one row of column of IR report, to open the modal window of current page.  <----------------it is ok. I can use "javascript:openModal('windowID')"  to do it.
    There is one form in this modal window, Meanwhile, I would like to pass column data to this form.    <--------------------- it is ok also. I can use " $s('P7_ID','column_value');" to do it.
    But I don't know how to trigger the "automated row fetch" process of this form to retrieve other field's value in this form.
    I tried to use following 2 ways. But failed.
    First method:
    add one ajax process of "automated row fetch" in "page processing" block, named "get_fetch_data"
    when click IR column , call "openModal", and call  "apex.server.process ( "get_fetch_data", {}, { success: function( pData ) { }  } );"  , I tried to call above ajax process to refresh form. It is failed.
    Second method:
    add one process of  "automated row fetch" in "page rendering" block, named "get_fetch_data"
    when click IR column, call javascript api "apex.submit" to submit current page , then call "openModal".
    such as :  javascript:apex.submit({request:'MODIFY',set:{'P7_ID': #ID#}}); openModal('trade');
    But it is failed also. the modal page is showed firstly. then page refresh. but modal window will not open again.
    I am not sure if my thinking is right. Could you please provide any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ping

    Hi Ping,
    You can try to set the session state of your modal page's primary key before opening the modal page. Use one dynamic action (on click of IR row) with two true actions. First one to set session state of modal page pk, second on to open modal page.
    Or you can add the modal page url as link in your report by extending your query:
    select ...
    ,         apex_util.prepare_url( 'f?p='||:APP_ID||':7:'||:APP_SESSION||'::'||:DEBUG||':7:P7_ID'||COLUMN_VALUE ) as link
    from ...
    This will give you the url of the modal page, with set primary key.

  • Details of entire row in Interactive ALV

    Hi all,
    I have created an ALV report which displays details like GPART VKONT OPBEL and some other fields so my question is like when i double click on any field i want all the details of the entire row.
    for ex if my o/p list is
    GPART     VKONT         OPBEL   MSTYP MAHNV
    123           1000042        400147    11           DC
    143           1000043        400148    12           DL
    now if i double click on gpart 123 i need all other details(100042,400147,11,DC) along with 123 can anyone tell me how i can achieve this (I used REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY) to display the list.
    Regards,
    Suresh.

    Hi,
    you have to write a subroutine lets its name be USER_COMMAND.
    write the subroutine in the program.
    like below given:
    FORM USER_COMMAND USING R_UCOMM LIKE SY-UCOMM
    RS_SELFIELD TYPE SLIS_SELFIELD.
    ENDFORM.
    and provide the subroutine name in the parameter USERCOMMAND of function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
    So when user do some activity on ALV report then the program will come this subroutine.
    And the structure RS_SELFIELD will have different information i.e. fieldname,index,and the selected field's value.
    you can check it in debugger.
    hope this will help you.

  • Web Analysis: Only suppress data that fulfills criterion not entire row/col

    Hello all,
    is there a way in WA that allows me to only hide the data points that fulfill a criterion instead of the entire row/column?
    My problem :
    I have 3 lines that i want to have displayed in a chart: 12 months budget, 12 months last year(LY) and all month up until current month(CM) from the current year(CY).
    Just building a simple spreadsheet (I think if I can solve in it a spreadsheet, I can also get it done in a chart) gets me something like this:
    CM
    Oct Nov Dec Jan Feb ......
    LY 1 2 3 4 4
    Budget 5 5 5 5 5
    CY 4 4 5 -13 0 (default scenario view is YTD, hence Jan = - 4 - 4 -5, which of course messes up a chart)
    I would like to suppress/hide/transform that -13. However, when I use Analysis Tools and set a filter (e.g. <0), the whole column is hidden.
    Is this even feasible in WA?
    FYI: The datasource is HFM
    Regards,
    Fred

    Web Analysis is not very good for ragged hierarchies (multiple dimensions combined with few dimensions) or any kind of suppression (except whole rows/columns).
    Hyperion Financial Reports is much better and allows hidden rows/columns, calculations and dynamic suppression of any row/column.
    WA is very much a simple web tool (unlike FR or IR).

  • Trigger with progressive

    Hi,
    I've this table:
    CREATE TABLE MY_TAB (
    ID VARCHAR2 (24) NOT NULL,
    NAME_ID VARCHAR2 (32) DEFAULT NULL,
    PRIMARY KEY (ID ));
    I'd like to create one trigger that for each NAME_ID insert into ID column the value "NAME_ID-progressive of 3 digit"
    For example:
    INSERT INTO MY_TAB ( NAME_ID) VALUES ('999');
    ID..............NAME_ID
    999-001.........999
    INSERT INTO MY_TAB ( NAME_ID) VALUES ('999');
    ID..............NAME_ID
    999-001.........999
    999-002.........999
    INSERT INTO MY_TAB ( NAME_ID) VALUES ('88888');
    ID..............NAME_ID
    999-001.........999
    999-002.........999
    88888-001.......88888
    INSERT INTO MY_TAB ( NAME_ID) VALUES ('88888');
    ID..................NAME_ID
    999-001.............999
    999-002.............999
    88888-001...........88888
    88888-002...........88888
    INSERT INTO MY_TAB ( NAME_ID) VALUES ('999');
    ID..................NAME_ID
    999-001.............999

    88888-002...........88888
    999-003.............999
    999-004.............999
    The trigger is like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER TRG_MY_TAB
    BEFORE INSERT ON MY_TAB
    REFERENCING NEW AS NEW OLD AS OLD
    FOR EACH ROW
    WHEN (NEW.ID IS NULL)
    BEGIN
    SELECT (:NEW.NAME_ID ||('-here progressive'))
    INTO :NEW.ID
    FROM DUAL;
    END;
    How can I create this trigger with progressive
    Thank in advance!

    Create an auxiliary table:
    CREATE TABLE progressive
    (name_id VARCHAR2(32) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY
    ,seq NUMBER NOT NULL
    /And then call this function in your trigger:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION next_progressive (p_name_id IN progressive.name_id%TYPE)
                               RETURN NUMBER IS
      l_seq NUMBER;
    BEGIN
      LOOP

            WHERE name_id = p_name_id
            FOR UPDATE;
          UPDATE progressive
            SET seq = seq + 1
            WHERE name_id = p_name_id;

          WHEN no_data_found THEN
            BEGIN
              INSERT INTO progressive (name_id, seq)
                VALUES (p_name_id, 2);
              RETURN 1;
            EXCEPTION
              WHEN dup_val_on_index THEN
                null;

    Seeing Database Changes Made Internally and Externally
    This section discusses the ability of a result set to see the following:
    its own changes (DELETE, UPDATE, or INSERT operations within the result set), referred to as internal changes
    changes made from elsewhere (either from your own transaction outside the result set, or from other committed transactions), referred to as external changes
    Near the end of the section is a summary table.
    Note:
    External changes are referred to as "other's changes" in the Sun Microsystems JDBC 2.0 specification.
    Seeing Internal Changes
    The ability of an updatable result set to see its own changes depends on both the result set type and the kind of change (UPDATE, DELETE, or INSERT). This is discussed at various points throughout the "Updating Result Sets" section beginning on , and is summarized as follows:
    Internal DELETE operations are visible for scrollable result sets (scroll-sensitive or scroll-insensitive), but are not visible for forward-only result sets.
    After you delete a row in a scrollable result set, the preceding row becomes the new current row, and subsequent row numbers are updated accordingly.
    Internal UPDATE operations are always visible, regardless of the result set type (forward-only, scroll-sensitive, or scroll-insensitive).
    Internal INSERT operations are never visible, regardless of the result set type (neither forward-only, scroll-sensitive, nor scroll-insensitive).
    An internal change being "visible" essentially means that a subsequent getXXX() call will see the data changed by a preceding updateXXX() call on the same data item.
    JDBC 2.0 DatabaseMetaData objects include the following methods to verify this. Each takes a result set type as input (ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY, ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, or ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE).
    boolean ownDeletesAreVisible(int) throws SQLException
    boolean ownUpdatesAreVisible(int) throws SQLException
    boolean ownInsertsAreVisible(int) throws SQLException
    Note:
    When you make an internal change that causes a trigger to execute, the trigger changes are effectively external changes. However, if the trigger affects data in the row you are updating, you will see those changes for any scrollable/updatable result set, because an implicit row refetch occurs after the update.
    Seeing External Changes
    Only a scroll-sensitive result set can see external changes to the underlying database, and it can only see the changes from external UPDATE operations. Changes from external DELETE or INSERT operations are never visible.
    Note:
    Any discussion of seeing changes from outside the enclosing transaction presumes the transaction itself has an isolation level setting that allows the changes to be visible.
    For implementation details of scroll-sensitive result sets, including exactly how and how soon external updates become visible, see "Oracle Implementation of Scroll-Sensitive Result Sets".
    JDBC 2.0 DatabaseMetaData objects include the following methods to verify this. Each takes a result set type as input (ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY, ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, or ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE).
    boolean othersDeletesAreVisible(int) throws SQLException
    boolean othersUpdatesAreVisible(int) throws SQLException
    boolean othersInsertsAreVisible(int) throws SQLException
    Note:
    Explicit use of the refreshRow() method, described in "Refetching Rows", is distinct from this discussion of visibility. For example, even though external updates are "invisible" to a scroll-insensitive result set, you can explicitly refetch rows in a scroll-insensitive/updatable result set and retrieve external changes that have been made. "Visibility" refers only to the fact that the scroll-insensitive/updatable result set would not see such changes automatically and implicitly.
    Visibility versus Detection of External Changes
    Regarding changes made to the underlying database by external sources, there are two similar but distinct concepts with respect to visibility of the changes from your local result set:
    visibility of changes
    detection of changes
    A change being "visible" means that when you look at a row in the result set, you can see new data values from changes made by external sources to the corresponding row in the database.
    A change being "detected", however, means that the result set is aware that this is a new value since the result set was first populated.
    With Oracle8i release 8.1.6 and higher, even when an Oracle result set sees new data (as with an external UPDATE in a scroll-sensitive result set), it has no awareness that this data has changed since the result set was populated. Such changes are not "detected".
    JDBC 2.0 DatabaseMetaData objects include the following methods to verify this. Each takes a result set type as input (ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY, ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, or ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE).
    boolean deletesAreDetected(int) throws SQLException
    boolean updatesAreDetected(int) throws SQLException
    boolean insertsAreDetected(int) throws SQLException
    It follows, then, that result set methods specified by JDBC 2.0 to detect changes--rowDeleted(), rowUpdated(), and rowInserted()--will always return false with the 8.1.6 Oracle JDBC drivers. There is no use in calling them.
    Summary of Visibility of Internal and External Changes
    Table 12-1 summarizes the discussion in the preceding sections regarding whether a result set object in the Oracle JDBC implementation can see changes made internally through the result set itself, and changes made externally to the underlying database from elsewhere in your transaction or from other committed transactions.

    For implementation details of scroll-sensitive result sets, including exactly how and how soon external updates become visible, see "Oracle Implementation of Scroll-Sensitive Result Sets".
    Notes:
    Remember that explicit use of the refreshRow() method, described in "Refetching Rows", is distinct from the concept of "visibility" of external changes. This is discussed in "Seeing External Changes".
    Remember that even when external changes are "visible", as with UPDATE operations underlying a scroll-sensitive result set, they are not "detected". The result set rowDeleted(), rowUpdated(), and rowInserted() methods always return false. This is further discussed in "Visibility versus Detection of External Changes".
    Oracle Implementation of Scroll-Sensitive Result Sets
    The Oracle implementation of scroll-sensitive result sets involves the concept of a window, with a window size that is based on the fetch size. The window size affects how often rows are updated in the result set.
    Once you establish a current row by moving to a specified row (as described in "Positioning in a Scrollable Result Set"), the window consists of the N rows in the result set starting with that row, where N is the fetch size being used by the result set (see "Fetch Size"). Note that there is no current row, and therefore no window, when a result set is first created. The default position is before the first row, which is not a valid current row.
    As you move from row to row, the window remains unchanged as long as the current row stays within that window. However, once you move to a new current row outside the window, you redefine the window to be the N rows starting with the new current row.
    Whenever the window is redefined, the N rows in the database corresponding to the rows in the new window are automatically refetched through an implicit call to the refreshRow() method (described in "Refetching Rows"), thereby updating the data throughout the new window.
    So external updates are not instantaneously visible in a scroll-sensitive result set; they are only visible after the automatic refetches just described.
    For a sample application that demonstrates the functionality of a scroll-sensitive result set, see "Scroll-Sensitive Result Set--ResultSet5.java".
    Note:
    Because this kind of refetching is not a highly efficient or optimized methodology, there are significant performance concerns. Consider carefully before using scroll-sensitive result sets as currently implemented. There is also a significant tradeoff between sensitivity and performance. The most sensitive result set is one with a fetch size of 1, which would result in the new current row being refetched every time you move between rows. However, this would have a significant impact on the performance of your application.

  • Can i search a document for text in column a to return the entire row if column a matches in a separate sheet?

    Can i search multiple sheets in a document for text in column a to return the entire row if column a matches in a
    separate sheet?

    Thank you, Barry. That was helpful, and am hopeful that what I want to do is possible.
    I am creating a spreadsheet that currently has 20 sheets, of which certain sheets have more than one table.  I will be adding more sheets.  I would like to return results for all occurences of the search string.  Preferably into a seperate spreadsheet.  It would be perfect if that seperate sheet updated whenever I update information in the first spreadsheet.  To give an example:
    Sheet:     baskets
         Tables:         straw
                             wire
    Sheet:      barware
         Tables:          glasses
                              decanters
                              coasters
    My tables all have the same titiels:
    Vendor      Description     Cost     Selling Price
    Since I will have upwards of 100 sheets, with multiple tables, and most of my vendors will fit into multiple sheet categories, it would be helpful if I could also see what my order will be from each vendor, not just who I will be ordering each item from.  How would I do that?
    I hope I conveyed that properly.
    Thank you in advance for your help,
    Rana
