Trouble getting the swf object to work

the html housing my flash site, has the internet explorer
bug, the active content thing. I'd like to get rid of it.
The code i was using to embed my flash movie was this..

I don't know how to keep my parameters from here, while using
the swf object embed code. Can someone help me to do this? Why is
this not working?

i know that's not the swf object. But I tried to use that
little tutorial and it isn't like one size fits all. The previous
code i used had a bunch of parameters that are not present in this
swf object thing.
Any advice would be great.

Check on iPhone and Mac you have signed into iCloud and FaceTime with the exact same account - log out of them and back in to confirm. It wasn't working for me till I did this and it is now working a charm!

Have you used any plug-in type headsets on your Centro?
Do you hear any sound out of the speaker when you play an MP3 file?
There is a microswitch in the headset jack that can get stuck and make the Centro "think" it has a headset plugged in and this can cause the problems you are describing. You can try the following procedure to see if the headset jack is causing the problem.

Issue with getting handle to the swf object in a jsp

Hi,
I have a jsp file which has the <object> tag to include the Flex swf file on the jsp. I have certain functions exposed to javascript (using ExternalInterface.callback) that can be used in the jsp. But when I try to get the handle to the swf object using document[swfId] or window.document[swfId] or document.getElementById(swfId) ..it returns back NULL..
This works on some browers and doesn't work on some. I even tried to reinstall my browser but in vain.
Any someone provide me with some pointers on this ?

Hi, Thanks for getting back with me. I know exactly what you mean about the "www" or "public" section of a server as I've seen that on other servers that I've worked on with DW.
However, this is different and it doesn't appear to have one. I've taken a screen shot below of what the server looks like. I did it with FTP as I'm on another computer that does not have DW. As you'll see there are actually 2 sites I need to get connected to to change the web pages with DW - "beta.----.gov" and "www.----.gov." That's pretty much how it is. The beta one is what they want me to do is make the edits on a page in the beta site first and then show them. Upon approval, I will then go into the live site (www) and duplicate what I did to make the changes live. So again, your screen shots seem to help (I won't know until tomorrow when I'm on the other computer in another building that has Dreamweaver on it to try to use your DW settings) but does this make sense? Any other ideas that could be useful to get me up and running? Thanks.

Trouble getting the Java OLAP samples to work

Has anyone else had trouble getting the Java OLAP API samples for 9i working? I've recently downloaded the trial version of 9i and was trying to tinker with the OLAP API. I've tried supplying a ContextFactory class name to the environment, using the ContextFactory classes that I found in the aurora.zip or aurora_client.jar files, but that didn't work. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated. Thanks.

Only use the == operator for checking for the same object. Use the String.equals()method. I.E replace

How do I get the SWF file to send a variable to HTML file

I am new to flash and trying to figure out how this is working. I have a task to upgrade a web site. I have a map of ND with some cities on it. I needed to add a new city to the SWF which did not seem to be hard (asuming I did it correct). The action on all the buttons for each city look like this except the name after the # is the city selected.

Can someone help me understand way when I run this from my system it should load and address information for the correct city from the locations_info.html file but it doesn't. Nothing shows up..

If all of the other getURL() directives in the movie use the same syntax for the named anchor link then that part should be OK. In the html document, locations_info, again, if all of the named anchors look like the one that you listed, then you may just need to clear your cache to get the new anchor to work.
The a name="XXX" anchor is being depricated in some browsers. You can use id="XXX", or both, instead. Although if one works, they should all work.

Cannot get the Mobile Template to work in SharePoint Foundation 2013

Hello all,
I am trying to get the Mobile View to work in SharePoint Foundation 2013. When I access the site on any phone it gives me the following error:
"Cannot complete this action. Please try again."
The URL it forwards me to is "http://<sitecollectionurl>/_layouts/15/mobile/mblwpa.aspx?Url=%2Fdefault%2Easpx
So it seems to me like it's working, but there's something wrong with the template. The template has definitely never been modified.
Can anyone help?

So I've got some more info for this issue. We are seeing:
Control template "Mobile_STS_HomePage_Redirect" does not exist.
Control template "Mobile_1_HomePage_Redirect" does not exist.
Does anyone know how to enable these? I tried by name, but it doesn't find them. This is the error I get:

How to get the UserTransaction object in stateless session bean

Hi, I am using jboss server and jdk5 version and using EJB.
My Application flow :
JSP à Action(Struts) à Service Locator à Session bean à Entity Bean(cmp) à DB.
I tried to get the UserTransaction object in my Action. Its my code.

first of all, you could just use sessionContext.getUserTransaction(). however, that would only work if your bean is using bean-managed transactions. the default is container-managed transaction, in which case you cannot get a UserTransaction object. if you want to manage transactions, you need to add the TransactionManagementType.BEAN annotation to your ejb.

Getting the Request Object in the EJB published as a Web Service

Hi experts,
I have a Portal Service that call a BAPI in a back-end system with the Connector Framework. I have a Portal Component that calls the Portal Service, passing the Locale (request.getLocale()) and the User (request.getUser()) object. It's work fine!
I need to call the Portal Service by an EJB that is published as a Web Service. The connection between the EJB and Portal Service is ok, but I don't know how to get the Locale and the User object in the EJB to pass to the Portal Service.
Is possible to get the request object from the HTTP SOAP Request?

The Feature Hashing module is actually a wrapper around
Vowpal Wabbit's implementation of the murmurhash. Thus, it takes text in, and produces 2^N new features based on the text, where N is the bitsize specified in the module. These features (and not the original text!) should be used during model training.
The Learner will then keep track of these features behind the scenes.
When you publish your web service and these features are recomputed for new input text (same N), they are used as the features for scoring.
Does that make sense?

Problem getting the collection objects in Toplinks using JDeveloper11g

I am working the Toplinks in JDeveloper11g. I am using the Java Objects From Tables to create the Toplink map .
The problem is I am unable to work with the collection objects. I am getting the collection objects like addtocollection and removefromcollection. when I am dragging the collection object into the form and running the application it is giving errors.
Can any one help me out how to work with this collection objects.

look at the java.util.SortedMap interface, and the classes that implement it. or, re-think your design. why do you want the entries sorted? do you really want that, or do you assume you do? is a Map the right collection here? I'm not saying it isn't, I'm just saying that the sorting requirement sounds like an assumption you need to challenge. generally, we get data out of a Map by explicitly asking for it by key

a mirror For example, I have a class Customer in my application, and I can get an ObjectReference through JDI during runtime. But how can I get the target VM's object which is a real instance of Customer, by which I can invoke methods defined in Customer?

I'll preface this response by admitting this far from an elegant solution, but I did write a function addressing this question, mostly as an exercise.
If passed an object with an InTextFrame property (Pgf, AFrame, Cell, Fn) that resides in an open document, the function will return the Doc object. Otherwise, it returns undefined.

To your PPS: Rather than seeing the native framework grow bloated to address additional features, I would love to see Adobe and other developers publish libraries of useful functions and class extensions.

AirPlay Mirroring is supported on your Mac, but it needs OS X Mountain Lion (10.8). See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404
You have two possibilities:
1. Make a backup, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion to upgrade to this OS X. Then, you will find the AirPlay Mirroring icon at the top right of the display, on the menu bar, or on System Preferences > Displays.
2. Keep OS X Lion and use AirParrot > http://www.airparrot.com
Both options work properly, but I recommend AirPlay Mirroring as it doesn't need a third-party program

How do I get the RSS feeds to work in iWeb'08 when published to FTP server?

There are so many unresolved questions because I have published to an FTP server (Netfirms). HOWEVER, my next task at hand is to resolve the issue of a non-working RSS feed and download capabilities.
The published website is www.vibrationalvoyages.com.
When using Cyberduck to upload to Netfirms, I have to call the file name vibrationalvoyages.com because Netfirms organizes my files under a main folder called www (I also purchased the .org and .net extensions along with the singular spelling of the title, have forwarded those url's to the .com extension, which means I have different website names under Netfirm's main folder www, all pointing to www.vibrationalvoyages.com).
I have to drop the www. in front of vibrationalvoyages.com when publishing to a folder on my computer so, when Cyberduck uploads the files into the main www folder, they are read correctly and published as www.vibrationalvoyages.com. In Cyberduck, the ftp address to upload is vibrationalvoyage.netfirms.com
Before uploading, I use iTweak to insert the Statcounter tracking codes. Then, I use Rage to optimize the site to cut down on the weight (lots of photos). Then, finally, I get to upload which takes about an hour and a half.
SO, HOW DO I GET THE RSS FEEDS TO WORK AS WELL AS THE OPTION TO DOWNLOAD AN MP3 RECORDED MEDITATIONS? I eventually also want to include the download option of podcasts.
Please help! I am doing the best I can to stay in love with Mac but he is turning out to be a pot load of work and the love affair is wearing a little thin.
I haven't even asked about why iWeb still calls some pages 'The family picnic" or why it switches the url addresses to the individual pages. Probably because in the early stages, I copied an entry rather than just do a new one... but I'll worry about that later. I want to get this 'fixed' first and then I'll address the issue, following Roddy's advice to another writer about installing a flash player, for easy download of the MP3 meditations and for when I record the lessons as podcasts. Until I get this RSS issue resolved, however, podcast downloads are out of the question!

I'm confused. What do YOU get when you push the feed button? And why is it working on yours and not either of my machines?
Today, my Mac (w/Safari 4) gets the same error message: Safari can’t open the page Safari can’t open the page “feed:http://vibrationalvoyages/vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_andApplications/rss.xml”. The error is: “The feed could not be loaded because the content is not in a known feed format.”
My little ASUS (with a Linux operating system) gets a screen that says "The requested URL was not found". The URL on that page is http://vibrationalvoyages./vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_andApplications/rss.xml
On both error messages, the URL I was checking was:
http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_and_Applications/Divine_Light_Vibrations_Principles_ andApplications.html
The last URL was, of course, the URL generated by iWeb.
So, my question still is:
HOW CAN I GET MY FEEDS TO WORK PROPERLY? If the problem is there shouldn't be an http:// after feed: then, how do I get iWeb to set it up properly?
Any ideas?
