Cannot create a project with netbeans 4.1
hi. i am using jdk1.5 update 3 with netbeans 4.1. my operating system is ubuntu linux 5.04. when i want to create a new project with netbeans i get this error:
javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException: Could not compile stylesheet
i open netbeans, click button "new project", select "General > Java Application", click "next" button.
project name: JavaApplication1
project location: /home/bsevindi
project folder: /home/bsevindi/JavaApplication1
when i click "finish" button, i get the error above. what should i do? BTW, i have compiled
a sample project and it works fine. the problem is only about creating a new project.I suggest you post the question to a netbean users forum.
This forum is better for question regarding programming rather than how to use an IDE. -
Roaming profile gets corrupted after password change during session logon.
When users are force to change password during logon (after it has expired) their roaming profile gets corrupted. All workstations are Windows 8 and domain is Server 2008 R2. The delete cached profile copies policy is enabled and therefore the issue matches
exactly with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971338/en-gb except it's the wrong OS.
I've been trying to find a hotfix for Windows 8 without any luck so just wondering if anybody managed to get around this issue.Hi,
Have you tried the workaround method in the link? did it worked? Actually, form now, there is still no helpful hotfix to fix this problem.
In addition, what about change password from other client? not Windows 8.

How can I get a single jar file with NetBeans?
How can I get a single jar file with NetBeans?
When I create the project I get these files:
dist/lib/libreria1.jar
dist/lib/libreria2.jar
dist/software.jar
The libraries that have been imported to create the project are in separate folders:
libreria1/libreria1.jar
libreria2/libreria2.jar
libreria1, libreria2, dist folders are all located inside the project folder.
I added the following code to the build.xml:
<target name="-post-jar">
<jar jarfile="dist/software.jar">
<zipfileset src="${dist.jar}" excludes="META-INF/*" />
<zipfileset src="dist/lib/libreria1.jar" excludes="META-INF/*" />
<zipfileset src="dist/lib/libreria2.jar" excludes="META-INF/*" />
<manifest>
<attribute name="Main-Class" value="pacco.classeprincipale"/>
</manifest>
</jar>
</target>
Of course there is also the project folder:
src/pacco/classeprincipale.form
src/pacco/classeprincipale.java
Can you tell me what is wrong? The error message I get is as follows:
C:...\build.xml:75: Problem creating jar: archive is not a ZIP archive BUILD FAILED (total time: 2 seconds)This is not a NetBeans forum, it is a JDeveloper forum. You might want to try http://forums.netbeans.org/. I also saw your other question - try looking in the New to Java forum: New To Java

What happens when a user profile gets deleted? Does it prevent that user from accessing the sharepoint site or any site he has access to?
One of our users have been moved from one OU to the other and manager got an email about his mysite getting deleted within 14days. I don't care if his mysite gets deleted until he has access to the main site.No, User Profiles do not impact permissions.

Problem with Netbeans 7.1 and ME SDK 3.0.5 plugin
Hi!
I have problem plugin ME SDK 3.0.5 to Netbeans 7.1. When I try to install plugin into Netbeans I get this kind informations:
Warning - could not install some modules: Profiler (Java ME Projects Support) - The module named org.netbeans.modules.profiler/1 was needed and not found. Java ME SDK CPU Profiler Snapshot Viewer - The module named org.netbeans.modules.profiler/1 was needed and not found. 5 further modules could not be installed due to the above problems.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
I am truly grateful for the answer!Hi Anvi,
I think you posted in the right place as the J2ME SDK Team read this forum (though they sometimes don't respond promptly as we would have liked). I also got the same issue as you, but check out the responses by the J2ME SDK Team to: https://blogs.oracle.com/javamesdk/entry/update_java_me_sdk_through
It seems there are issues with Netbeans 7.1, and they are fixing things for the next release for Netbeans 7.1.1 so I am sure they are aware of problems that we are encountering. Its fine for Netbeans 6.9/7 if you cannot wait though. -

This issue is in our production environment. So plaese help me considering it URGENT.
ThanksNice to help me.
We observe the server start up log. We did all that you suggested.
Still I am not able to start the production server. As we get very lesser chance to RND on production server.
The new problem is now , when we start the server, its hangs, and did not start.
I am posting the sever startup log:

Unable to start weblogic with JRockit
i am using a 32 bit machine to start weblogic server on JRockit JVM. Doing this in order to have already installed Oracle SOA suite and when I start weblogic using JRockit it is Running out of memory. Tried the solutions given in the forum but not able to resolve this issue.
Also when using jdk getting permgen error. Tried with resetting the maxPermSize value etc in the startweblogic server but not able to do so.
For JRockit OOM has any one faced a similar issue?
Can any one help me with same ?Thanks Carlos. The value was getting overridden in startweblogic.cmd for Sun jdk but was not sufficient for my problem as I was using Jrockit and with JRockit there is no Permsize issue inturn there was OOM.
I followed these steps:
1. changed maxpermsize in startweblogic.
2. Tried increasing system swap space.
3. Used a profiler which controls JVM running, tried reduce memory leaks, but none worked.
I switched to JRockit for weblogic
1. tried increasing memory etc. Finally I switched to 64 bit machine as suggested in one of the forums for JRockit oom.
Now both jdk and JRockit weblogic with all SOA components working successfully.
Thanks,

need help to identify what exactly went wrong and where.
ThanksHi,
As you are using WLS8.1 It means your JDK will be JDK1.4 and there is a Bug already available with JDK1.4 for the Same issue ... Please find the below link:
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;:YfiG?bug_id=4705373 (For Sun JDK1.4)
AND
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6373059 (For Sun JDK 1.5.0_05)
Please try to switch to JRockit JDK.
Thanks

ADF Faces with NetBeans Visual Pack
Hello all,
I have NetBeans 5.5.1 installed with the Visual Pack and I am looking to try out other libraries with it, in particular ADF Faces from Oracle.
Does anyone know how to import the components into the NetBeans Visual Pack? They download from oracle as[b] adf-faces-impl-10_1_3_0_4.jar and not as a complib extension, which NetBeans prefers.
Please if anyones has any experience with getting this to work let me know. Or if you think it can't work let me know as well?
Hoping to hear from someone soon. Thanks in advance.Hello again,
Anyone out there using ADF faces with NetBeans Visual Pack who can give some feedback?
I want to be able to use the drag and drop capabilities of the Visual Pack with the ADF faces components, but I don't see how to configure this as they do not come pre-configured as a complib extension.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks and Regards. -
Java 1.4.2 with NetBeans IDE 3.5 - Error Message, please help
Hello, I have downloaded the "J2SE v 1.4.2 with NetBeans IDE v 3.5 Cobundle" for windows.
I ran the install, everything went fine, but when the install finished it said there was an error and to please refer to the log file.
Here is what the log file says:
"Installing J2SDK..."
"Finished Installing J2SDK..."
(Jul 1, 2003 7:53:14 AM), Setup.product.install, com.sun.installer.InstallJ2sdkAction, err, Error occured while installing [0] -> D:\Program Files\j2sdk_nb\_uninst\custom-install.bat "D:\Program Files\j2sdk_nb\install.log" "D:\Program Files\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2\" D: "D:\Program Files\j2sdk_nb\_uninst"
Now when I try to run "NetBeans IDE 3.5" I get an error message:
Cannont load jvm.dll
Does anyone know how to resolve this, I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and I get the same problem.
Thanks,

-MikeHi Mike,
Even I got a similar error message inspite of trying to re-install atleast 10 times! So I gave up and did this:
1) I downloded J2SE SDK 1.4.2 seperately.
2) I then downloded JPad Pro IDE (latest version).
Now both are working really fine for me. :-) Could'nt be bothered to try again and again.
Its up to you if you want to get the NetBeans installation done but all I wanted was a good IDE and the latest version of the JDK. I have been using it for the last 3 days and it is working perfectly fine!
Regards :-)

Hi,
Does anyone an easy way of downloading weblogs with source codes?
If I select all/copy&paste into Microsoft Word 2000 (SP3), the source codes get this "nice" frame, where they are scrollable. When I save it and open it again, the source code is not scrollable, so I can only diplay the part of it:-(
Is there a way of avoid it from my side?
I know from the composer side it can be done, as foir example Sergei did in his weblog:
/people/sergey.korolev/blog/2005/03/14/the-time-for-me-to-have-a-badi-of-my-own
Or is it planned to change this annoying scrollable code frame?
Thanks,
PeterPrinting of Weblogs
Take a look at that thread for some possible help.
As for the "annoying scrollable code frame" well we've been doing it for awhile now and nobody has been complaining too loudly.
If the thought of everyone is to be rid of the textarea then I suppose I wouldn't have a problem using the styles instead. -
Hello,
I have to select NetBeans over Flexbuilder for an IDE. What I
do not know is how to make Flex SDK 2.0 framework (which is
available as free download) work with NetBeans.
1) Will I be able to open MXML files, and get same visual
level of experience with NetBeans as it delivers with FlexBuilder?
2) Are there any serious trade off or compromises that I have
to live with NetBeans/Flex SDK combo v/s FlexBuilder?
Thanks,
RuchirRuchir,
This forum is for flex 1.5, and hardly anyone pays it any
attention anymore.
Post your question on the Flex builder 2 forum.

Problem of J2SE1.4.2 with NetBeans Cobundle on XP
I download J2SE v 1.4.2 with NetBeans IDE v 3.5 Cobundle and install it on XP professional.
Then modify system variable:
Path: ......;C:\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2\bin;......
Add system variable:
CLASSPATH: .;C:\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2lib\tools.jar;C:\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2\lib\dt.jar
In command window, I can execute javac. BUT when I run java, always get error:
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: main".
HELP!!! Thanx!This sounds like a basic problem with understanding java applications. I suggest you try the tutorial here: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/getStarted/cupojava/win32.html
Your code must have a method named main (java is case sensitive) and it must look exactly like:public static void main(String[] args)The error message you posted indicates that the class you are trying to execute does not have such a method.
