Trying to add a JPG image as a picture in picture

Hi All,
Have just Powerpoint presentation. I have created 20x JPGs of the individual ppt slides and am trying to drag them (Shift+Drag) onto the monitor panel - on top of the video of the guy making the presentation - but it does not work. If I try to add another bit of video, the PIP works fine... but this is not what I want to do.... Do I now need to somehow make my 20x JPGs into video files in order to achieve my goal? All suggestions most welcome..

Try doing the samething in editor. There you can make use of layers. Once all the jpegs have been placed as the layers, save the file as jpeg file.

Trying to upload DSCF.JPG images from my Mac Pro to Photostream in iPhoto

I am trying to upload the DSCF.JPG images from my Mac Pro (originally taken on my Fuji Finepix camera) to Photostream in iPhoto.
I then want these images to load onto my iPhone 5 through iCloud.
I have tried dragging the images over from a desktop folder to my Photostream folder in iPhoto – no good. They just won't copy over.
I have dragged the images over from a desktop folder into a new folder in iPhoto – that worked, but I can't then get them transferred or copied over to the iCloud folder.
Is it the DSCF format that my Photostream doesn't like? Why would that be?
And does anybody know what I can do about it?

In particular -
Shared Photo Streams supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. On your Mac or PC, your photos are downloaded and stored in full resolution. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, your Photo Stream photos are delivered in a device-optimized resolution that speeds downloads and saves storage space. While actual dimensions will vary, an optimized version of a photo taken by a standard point-and-shoot camera will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution when pushed to your devices. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.
If the Preview application can open your photos, you may be able to export them to a more compatible format.

The process is the same for more recent versions of Preview.
Open a file in Preview, and choose File > Export.
Choose a file type from the Format pop-up menu. If you don’t see the file type you want, hold down the Option key as you click the Format pop-up menu to see specialized or older formats.
Depending on the file format you choose, additional options may appear. If you choose JPEG or JPEG 2000, you can adjust the image’s quality. If you choose PDF, you can choose a Quartz filter to apply to the image, and you can encrypt the image so that only those with the password can view it.
Type a new name, or choose a new location for saving the converted file, and then click Save.

HELP Trying to add a printable image to a pdf Acro Prof 6

I've already spent 4 days too many on this project. I've been asked to take this pdf and create one identical for the company. It's a fillable form also so instead of trying to recreate everything from scratch I was able to edit the text and change over everything that I needed to, which wasnt much.
Except.... I can not get our company logo on the top of the page. I have Acrobat Professional 6. Yesterday I finally thought I solved the problem going under Tools -> Advanced Commenting -> Attach -> Paste from clipboard. But because its just a "comment" when I go to print it wont show up.
I've been told to just add an image to the Header, yet I am unable to figure out how... Once I'm under this section it only allows for Text, not an image.
I'm really pulling my hair out here over this... If anyone can please tell me how to add an image to a pdf (which is a fillable form) that when printed will actually show up as well PLEASE HELP.

I just opened the watermark tool in AA8. I don't have AA6 handy. It has a scaling and location on the page after I select a graphic file to import. It also shows a sample page so I can see how it will display. I do not remember how watermarks worked on AA6. Will try in a bit.
For AA6, it looks like you can only put in a PDF file. In that case, use a word processor to create the desired result you want for the background (the entire page, not just the logo. Then create a PDF to use for the watermark or background. Open the watermark/background tool and insert your new PDF (not sure if you should use background or watermark - might give both a try and see if that does the job. At least it appears to be what my system suggests. You need to be sure you use the same paper size since AA6 places the whole page you create. You might be able to use other sized, but then you have to deal with centering and such. Unless you have time to play a bit, I would create it the one the same size paper as I have suggested and then it is one less thing to have to work out.

New Aperture user trying to add keywords

I'm getting really frustrated. I've been a long time iPhoto user, but my husband bought me Aperture and I'm trying to move to it. . . .anyway, I'm trying to add keywords to some of my pictures (I miss my "hot keys"). I have the Keyword Controls open on the bottom of the split view window and I've set up a variety of keyword preset lists. . . Anyway, the problem that I am having is when I select multiple images to apply a keyword to, it is only applying the keyword to the "primary" (meaning the boldly outlined in white) image - even though the other images as selected (outlined in a less bold white boarder) the keywords are not assigned to them. It's like I have to add the keywords to each image one at a time. I've looked at a bunch of the material online and it's clear to me that you are SUPPOSED to be able to add keywords to multiple images at a time. Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The only thing I can think of is, do you have the 'Primary Only' button selected? When that is selected, you can select multiple photos, but you can only edit whichever photo is your main selection (the one with the bold white around it)
Try making sure that 'Primary Only' button is NOT selected, and then dragging a keyword onto all of the photos. By the way, the primary only button is in the bottom right hand corner of the aperture window. It is a square with the number '1' in it.

How do I load a print screen image into a picture indicator?

Hi,
I am trying to load a printscreen image into a picture indicator without first saving it. I am currently doing it by acquiring and saving a print screen image, then reloading and displaying the bitmap file. This works, but it is not elegant and the colors are displayed wrong. (The SnapView.vi is from the G Toolbox for LabVIEW) Thanks for your help.

Hello –
When you push the print screen button in your keyboard, the image is send (temporarily stored) to the clipboard.
You could call the Windows API to recover that image and send it to an indicator in the front panel. This Example Program can show you how to make Windows API calls; I think you might find it useful to get started in programming your application.

You can't do so in Bridge, only option for a watermark inhere is via the Output Module on a PDF contact sheet.
Best try this question in the Photoshop forum, they might have better answers because you need to create an action in PS to get what you want.

Image turns red when trying to add text?

I'm using CS5 64 bit on a Win7 64-bit machine, with 8GB RAM.
I have been creating images, then adding text to them, with no problem. All of a sudden, something is going wrong.
I have created an image out of a white background with green text. I saved it as a .psd
Later, I opened it in CS5, and clicked the Text tool. I put the cursor on the image, and the whole image box turned red.
All the options under Layer (like New or Duplicate) are grayed out.
The Layers box shows just one layer, named Index. Right clicking on that shows all grayed out options.
I also tried to add text to a previously saved .jpg with the same result.
If I make a new image, I can add text correctly.
And I can also add text to other .jpgs I've made previously.
So apparently it is something to do with the way these particular files were saved or something?
I tried resetting the Text tool but that did no good.
What am I doing wrong? What makes these images different?
I tried to upload the .psd image in question, but I got an error message saying that "the content type of this image is not allowed".

Open your iPhoto Library, go to that particular album and verify that you can view the full sized version of each image by double clicking on them. Report back with the results.

right click a blank area of the toolbar, click Customize. You'll see the printer icon there. Drag and drop it to where you want.
You can also find this option under View -> Toolbars -> Customize.

Any Browser freezes when trying to add image finder pop-up

Since updating to Mavericks, whenever I try to add images etc in ANY Browser, the finder popup freezes when I select Desktop for the image.
I have found a work around, I created a folder, I called Images on the desktop, and when I copy any images etc into that folder, I can select the folder, and the contents to add to browser etc.
This also works if I copy image to any other sidebar folder, ie documents.
Sometimes works off desktop if I reboot imac, for a while.
This is very annoying, and has only happened since 10.9 update
I have to Force Quit on the browser, to continue using that Browser
Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Camino, all the same. (Latest versions)

I wasn't referring to this forum, but I've just tried to add image to this post , and the same problem shows.
Choosing Desktop from finder pop-up sidebar, browser freezes then I have to force quit.
Select any other sidebar item, including my folder "Image" from Desktop, works fine !!
Funnily enough, because this forum adds image into the message, I can drag & Drop image here !!!
But only in compose window, when I post message, the image disappears !
However, this dooesn't bother me.
My problem is with forums where images are added by an extra input below message body

Trying to diplay jpg images in JSP.....plz help

I have a set of jpg images that I have stored in my server, not in a database. So far, my code can iterate over the directory the images are stored in and can display them as links that users can click on. I can locally click on these links and see the images pop up but anybody outside on the internet can see these links but when clicked upon, show nothing. Here is my code so far.

Whether you want to have links to the images or put them in the page directly, you have the same problems:

out.println("<li><a href=\""+ listing[x] +"\">" + listing[x] + "</a></li>");First was that you have bad HTML formatting in your "list" elements. It should be more like above.
Second, the values for listing[x] are not correct for the web page. The values are going to end up being files, which should print out the absolute path of that File, so you'd get something like this:
d:\\temp\\Tomcat\\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.3\\webapps\\ROOT\\Mproject\\CT-Images\\xxxxx\\image1.jpg
This would only ever work on your PC, cuz this is not the proper way to write URLs for a web site. You want the image URLs to be like this:
/Mproject/CT-Images/xxxxx/image1.jpg
So that it's a relative path to the image from the server's root directory. If you know ahead of time that the path is always going to be that, you can have this:
String directory = "d:\\..........." + SS;
String basepath = "/Mproject/CT-Images/" + SS + "/";
File[] listing = dataDir.listFiles();
String filename = listing[x].getName();
out.println("<li><a href=\""+ basepath + filename +"\">" + filename + "</a></li>");

Add Scroll Bars around Large JPG Image - JDev 11.1.2

I have a panel tabbed componet and inside one of the show detail items, I would like to put a rather large image. I can put the af:image into the show detail item, but neither horizontal or vertal scroll bars appear, so I can only see the upper left corner of the JPG image. How can I make horizontal and vertical scroll bars appear around the image?
