Hi
I am tryign to diable my Save button once if i click save button,
i written the code as follows, but its disablign once if i click save and immediately its enabling again.
this is my java script code.......
document.getElementById("xx").disabled=true;
     frm.submit();
<input type="button" id="xx" value="SaveAccount" onclick="doProcessForm();"/>
plz help me.
Thanks
Venaktesh

Well, it seems like once you get the response back, the submit button is enabled again and it wud happen unless you explicitly disable it again in some onload method..(if you want it to get it permanently disabled for further clicks)..
So, you need to have a hidden field like below in your form
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="FirstTime" value="<%=FirstTime%>">and in the function, where your form gets submitted, change it to value
document.getElementById(FirstTime).value = "N";and in the onload function depending on the value of FirstTime, enable/disable the submit button.

  • How can I grey out the 'Next' button until a user clicks 'Submit'?

    Hi guys,
    despite how I say it or display it in slides, users don't read the instructions before the quiz. This results in them doing the quiz and then asking me why they scored zero when they answered all the questions. So my question is, how can I disable/deactivate/grey-out the Next button until a user clicks Submit after answering the question?
    I've got Captivate 6.1 on a Windows platform.
    Advice appreciated.

    Hello Rod,
    thanks for your answer - I should think more laterally in future.
    In my testing, another question has arisen - how do I get the Next button behind the Clear button? It sounds stupid but I can't get the Next button behind the Clear. I go in to the Master Slide, click on Next to highlight it, and then move it either by the mouse or with the arrow button so that it sits under the Clear button. While Next is still highlighted I click on the button in the toolbar 'Send selected objects backward' to be sure, so that I see 'Clear'. When I go back to the Filmstrip, all I see is 'Next' and when I preview the slides all I see is 'Next' - what am I missing here? What have I failed to do? What am I not understanding?
    Advice appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Photo Gallery ....disable a previous button once it reaches img zero

    I have made a simple photo gallery that reads from external XML file. The gallery allows the user to see the next image by clicking the next button as well as the previous image by clicking the previous button.
    I need a bit of code that would disable the previous button when its at the first image, and disable the next image once the user is on the last image.
    This is what I have thus far:
    var xmlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("wImgData.xml");
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(xmlRequest);
    var imgData:XML;
    var imageLoader:Loader;
    var rawImage:String;
    var rawH:String;
    var rawW:String;
    var imgNum:Number = 0;
    var checkSec:Timer = new Timer(1);
    var numberOfChildren:Number;
    xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, xmlLoadedF);
    next_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, nextImgF);
    prev_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, prevImgF);
    master_mc.buttonMode = true;
    function xmlLoadedF(event:Event):void{
        checkSec.start();
        checkSec.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, checkerF);
        imgData = new XML(event.target.data);
    function packagedF():void{
        checkSec.start();
        checkSec.removeEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, checkerF);
        rawImage = imgData.image[imgNum].imgURL;
        numberOfChildren = imgData.*.length();
        rawW = imgData.image[imgNum].imgW;
        rawH = imgData.image[imgNum].imgH;
        imageLoader = new Loader;
        imageLoader.load(new URLRequest(rawImage));
        master_mc.addChild(imageLoader);
        imageLoader.x = (stage.stageWidth - Number(rawW)) /2;
        imageLoader.y = (stage.stageHeight - Number(rawH)) /2;
    function checkerF(event:TimerEvent):void{
        if(imgNum == 0){
            packagedF();
        }else if(imgNum < numberOfChildren){
            imageLoader.unload();
            packagedF();
        }else{
            imageLoader.unload();
            imgNum = 0;
            packagedF();
    function nextImgF(event:MouseEvent):void{
        checkSec.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, checkerF);
        imgNum++;
    function prevImgF (event:MouseEvent):void{
        checkSec.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, checkerF);
        imgNum--;

    All you need to do is remove the listeners in the event handlers for the buttons. I'll use previous as an example.
    function prevImgF (event:MouseEvent):void{
        checkSec.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, checkerF);
        imgNum--;
         if(imgNum == 0){
              //at first
              prev_btn.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, prevImgF);
    You'd do the same to the next button's listener when the imgNum == the number of images. You'll also need to add the previous listener back to the button when they press next.

  • Datagird submit button needs to be clicked twice

    Hello
    I have a submit button on an adf Read Only table that needs to be clicked once when the first page of data is shown to go to the next page but twice when the option “next 10” or the drop down list is used.
    The situation is as follows:
    I have one view object which is a read only query based on an Oracle view.
    This query takes one bind variable of type number.
    There are two JSF pages.
    The first page accepts a number via an InputText. When the user clicks the command button on the page the following code is executed so that the inputted value is stored in a managed bean (scope session) property userLang.
    public String gobutton_action() {
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ValueBinding expr = fc.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{testbean.userLang}");
    Integer iLangVal = new Integer(Integer.parseInt((String)inputText1.getValue()));
    expr.setValue(fc, iLangVal);
    return "success";
    The second page contains an adf Read Only Table based on the view object. The view object needs a value for its bind variable. In the page definition of this second page there is an ExecuteWithParams binding which is used to set the bind variable of the view query. The binding is as follows : ${sessionScope.testbean.userLang}
    There is also an invokeAction in the executables section. This binds the ExecuteWithParams with a refresh of “if needed” and a refresh condition of “#{adfFacesContext.postback == false}”
    When running the application the first page is displayed. I enter 1 in the inputText and click on the commandbutton. The second page is displayed. The contents of the data gird are correct. (proves that the value is passed correctly to the managed bean and then to the bind variable in the view query. If I select a row and click on submit the next page is correctly displayed.
    If I repeat the test (I stop the OC4J) but this time use the “Next 10” option or the drop down list to change the page of data being displayed I have to click the submit button twice to make the next page display. The first click of the submit button only has for effect to refresh the current page.
    Does anybody know what is happening ?
    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hello
    I've removed the bind variable, the managed bean the invoke actions etc. and I still have the same problem :
    I now have 1 page with a command button on it which calls a second page with a read only table linked to a view object. There is no entity object. The bind variable has been hard coded into the view object. When I click on the submit button in the table the first page should be called.
    I click on the button on the first page and the second page opens.
    I select a row and click submit and the first pages opens - so far so good.
    I restart the application.
    I click on the button on the first page and the second page opens.
    I click on "Next 10" select a row and click submit and the page refreshes itself ! (instaed of calling the first page)
    I click for a second time on the submit button and the first page opens....
    Whats happening here ?
    Many thanks
    Paul

  • How to remove submit buttons on workspace and use submit buttons on PDF instead?

    I am working with LiveCycle ES2. I will get submit buttons automatically render on workspace according to routes i designed after User component. However, I do not want that submit buttons on Flex. I would like to use submit buttons on PDF as designing in LiveCycle Designer.
    Could you please give a suggestion on this?
    Mac

    You would also want to ensure that the Adobe LiveCycle Form Bridge is not on the form.
    Here are some scenarios, from the Workbench help, which may help:
    If your process uses Adobe XML forms (XDP files), you can render the form to PDF and then use the Inject Form Bridge operation. To render to PDF, you use the renderPDFForm operation that the Forms service provides.
    Workspace ES provides a Complete button that users click to submit their forms. However, forms can also include submit buttons. When the Inject Form Bridge operation is used on a form, Workspace ES either hides the submit button, or disables the Complete button.
    Form design
    Result
    Design: The form includes no submit button.
    Result: Workspace ES disables the Complete button and users cannot submit the form.
    Design: The form includes one submit button.
    Result? Workspace ES hides the submit button and enables the Workspace ES Complete button.
    Design: The form includes a button (indirect submit) that points to a submit button (direct submit)
            Indirect-submit buttons always take precedence over direct-submit buttons, even if multiple submit buttons exist. Workspace ES always shows the indirect submit buttons.
    Result: Workspace ES hides the submit button and enables the Workspace ES Complete button.
    Design: The form includes multiple indirect-submit buttons that point to one or more direct-submit buttons.
    Results: Workspace ES disables the Workspace ES Complete button. The user must click the appropriate button on the form to submit it.
              The user can still save a draft version of the form or take the form offline
    Design: The form includes either an indirect- or direct-submit button in a repeating subform.
    Result: Workspace ES excludes these buttons for submitting the form in Workspace ES.
    Note: When the submit button that was added to the form design with the Process Fields form object to the form design is hidden, the button still provides the functionality for submitting the form.
    Submit requests are handled by Workspace ES, which acts as an intermediary between the LiveCycle ES server and the form. Also, forms can be used both offline and online.
    Hope that helps.

  • Submit button on Android doesn't submit completed form via e-mail

    We've created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro with a submit button using the "mailto:" command.  When we are in the android app and click the button, the e-mail script works fine, but it doesn't send the actual file, just a blank e-mail.  Any advice?  I've seen some older posts saying java scripts aren't supported, but they were older posts.  Has this been addressed or is there a workaround to submit the completed forms via e-mail (with an added service or expense)?

    When you write this
    > but it doesn't send the actual file, just a blank e-mail
    do you mean that it sends an email with a blank form attached?
    If this is the case, this is currently as-designed, since your button has two actions: one that submits the form and one that resets the form.  Because emailing on an Android device is asynchronous, by the time the email is constructed by the mail app of choice, the reset form action has already executed and as a result, you end up sending a blank form.
    I will look into the Android mail APIs to find out if we can make the behavior synchronous, that is, the reset form action will not execute until AFTER the submit form action has fully completed.  In the meantime, you can work around this by separating the submit & reset button into two separate buttons: one that submits, and one that resets.  Users will tap the submit button to submit and then have to tap the reset button after submit completes to reset the form.
    Hope this helps,
    Darrell

  • SUBMIT button works only when clicked twice... Online interactive form

    Hi,
    I have created a interactive form with SubmitToSAP button. In this I will enter a contract number and will click SUBMIT button.
    For the first time it is fetching the contract details properly.
    In the same form, i am changing  the previously entered value with another contract number and clicking SUBMIT.
    Now the details for the previously entered contract number is only displayed. Again if i try for the same value ( which i used for the second time )  and press submit, it is workin correctly.
    So, the problem is, except for the very first time SUBMIT button action, the button works fine only when clicked twice..
    please help me in solving this issue..
    Regards,
    Surya.

    Hi,
        In addition to my previous post, I am also using RESET FORM button from Library.
    First I am entering the contract number (say 400000000) in the form and clicking submit button. The contract details are fetched and displayed in the form.
    Now i am Resetting the form using Reset Button, and giving new contract number (say 400000020).  When  I pressed Submit button , the details of the first entered contract number (400000000)  is coming.
    Then again I am giving 400000020 or any other number, it is fetching the details correctly for that number...
    Can anyone help me in this issue..
    Thanks,
    Surya.

  • Document with submit button, and signature with second submit button

    I have a form that is filled out by one person who submits the completed form to his/her manager. When that manager signs the form, he/she also clicks a radio button either approved or not approved.
    When I test this form and click not approved the following message is displayed:
    GeneralError: Operation failed.
    XFAObject.rawValue:1:XFA:form1[0]:#pageSet[0]:Page1[0]:PageCount[0]:ready
    Property: 'rawValue' cannot be set because doing so would violate this document's permissions settings.
    I'm not sure how to troubleshoot since I don't know where this is coming from.
    Thanks for any help that is offered.
    Thank you,
    MDawn

    Does this error only occur after signing? If so, you may have locked down the field you are now trying to modify. Check the "Lock Fields After Signing" option in the Object Palette.

  • How do I include a 'submit' button so that clients can submit my form online?

    Once I have created my form and attached it to my website, how does a client submit it back to me?

    Thanks for the input. I think you might have a different version of LiveCycle than the copy I have since it looks a little different. However, I found the answer in Adobe help. I had to type "mailto:" before the email address to indicate it's an email and not a URL. See below.
    To collect form data as attachments to email, type mailto: followed by the email address. For example, mailto:[email protected]

  • How to disable a submit button on click using javascript

    Hi,
    We have built custom pages for mobile device (PDT) using OAF.
    The application is running on mobile IE 6.12 browser. In mobile platform, the cursor style is not changing to hour glass upon clicking.
    Due to this, user is able to click the same button multiple times before the operation is complete and it is getting submitted multiple time. But the same is working fine in Desktop browsers.
    We have tried with ((OABodyBean)body).setBlockOnEverySubmit(true); But the API documentation states that
    "Sets If set to true, user input will be blocked after EVERY submit (not just PPR submits). This attribute is not supported on the following agent types: pda, phone, voice."
    Hence, I am trying with javascript to disable the submit button after the first click. The issue is, even in the desktop browser
    I am not able to get the button disabled after first click. Please help me.
    I have tried the following statments in PR. But none of them seems to be working.
    //Try 1: directly using id
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("document.getElementById('UpdateBN').disabled=true;document.getElementById('UpdateBN').submit()");
    //Try 2:
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("javascript:this.disabled=true;this.form.submit();");
    //Try 3:
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("this.disabled=true;this.form.submit();");
    //Try 4: using a function
    static final String JS_MULTI_CLICK = "<Script LANGUAGE=\"JavaScript\"> "
    +" function DisabSub(btn)"
    + "{"
    + "btn.disabled = true;"
    + "}"
    +" </Script>" ;
    OARawTextBean rawMultiClick = (OARawTextBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("JSMultiClick");
    rawMultiClick.setText(JS_MULTI_CLICK);
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("javascript: var obj =disable(this);return DisabSub(obj);");
    Can any one please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Create two submit buttons A and B adjacent to each other.
    On page Load ,make A as rendered false and disabled true and B as rendered true. using SPEL.
    now on click of button B make button A as rendered true and Button B as rendered false through SPEL.
    In this way on button click the button will become disabled without the use of any javascript.
    Try it if it helps you...
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

  • Clicking twice on a Form submit button

    I have problem that I need either help on solving or ideas on a different solution please.
    I have some code in a request scope backing bean that sets a Boolean in a session cope bean to true. This indicates that the form has been submitted within this session.
    So if a user tries to submit the same form in the same session, the form backing bean will check the session bean property, see that it is set to true and the method which handles the Forms commandButton in the backing bean returns null, with a message saying that the form can not be resubmitted.
    Also within the session bean I set a property that indicates if a credit card payment was made or not, and when the form backing bean sends its message on a form resubmit, it also informs the user if a credit card transaction had actually occurred or not.
    This works fine when you fully submit the form and return to the form page and try to resubmit it. But (there always is a but) when originally submitting the form, if a user clicks the submit button once, and then once again in quick succession (not a double click though) the session form property that gets set to true when the credit card payment is made does not get resolved correctly. It gets resolved as false (this is how it is initialized), even though it was set to true as a result of the first click.
    Only in the case of the clicking twice scenario I get an exception in the log file, which I cant trace back. The request is directed through a filter OrderAccessControlFilter which seems to mask where the exception originally occurred.
    Sorry for the long explanation, I would appreciate any help.

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same problem. I have 2 buttons on my page, enable and disable. When I click enable and then disable in quick succession, the application crashes.
    Also, I put in some System out statemets in the button handlers and found out that a new thread is spawned for every request made. Each if this thread tries to service all the actions performed on the page.
    For eg : if i click on Enable and the Disable in my application, the flow is like:
    1. Thread 1 goes into the enable handler
    2. A new Thread 2 goes into the enable handler
    3. Thread 1 returns from enable action
    4. Thread 1 goes into the disable handler
    5. Thread 2 returns from enable handler
    6. Thread 1 returns from disable handler.
    7. Application crashes.
    Can anyone please explain this flow?
    Thanks,
    Mahajan.

  • Safari needs to click submit button twice when file uploading

    Hi all,
    I'm using Safari 4.0.5 and developing the html (no AJAX, but plain PHP posting) form with the file uploading on my local environment. I tested it fast and thick several times, then suddenly Safari stopped to upload the jpeg file, indicating loading animation on the address bar. So I tried to click the submit button once again, I succeed in sending two posts including one jpeg image.
    There's no problem with other browsers like Firefox and Chrome. Additionally, I tried to reinstalled Safari, rebooted Snow Leopard and checked file's permissions by Disk Utility app, but no dice.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    I am having the exact same problem except that I'm in Safari 5.0. Did you ever come to any resolution on the problem?
    I am having trouble uploading certain jpegs (can't find a common thread between the images that won't work though they tend to be larger than 100k and larger than 800px wide). When I have the problem the progress bar just hangs at about 10%. The page never times out. Never throws any kind of error. I confirmed that the file is never making it to the application layer. Such a weird and intermittent problem. All other browsers are fine. Just Safari is a problem. Even with these images that are giving me a problem, sometimes they work - especially after restarting the browser.
    Any help or insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
