Trying to give away parts

the power supply on my G5 dp failed. I replace it with a new mini. I've removed the hard drives and am trying to give away parts rather than trash the whole unit. 8 gb, dual channel dvi video card for my 30in cinema display, superdrive.

Sell on eBay and you'll get paid to mail the stuff off! Depending on the video card model, you may have a very sellable item.
Or, sell the whole thing "for parts" which might entice someone who would drop in a working power supply and get it going.

QuickTime version 10 can only record the entire screen.
10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 offer part of the screen recording.

Christmas Give Away Download Fail

Hello
In the UK this morning I tried to download the UK give away which was an episode of Fawlty Towers. I started the download and it crashed part way through. I tried to download again but kept getting the message "You have purchased this item and won't be charged to download it again. (AW30222i)".
When I click the Close button it would take me back to the movie page and I had no way to download it.
I've missed out on the download and would like to know how I can resume the download.

I've tried this on multiple products so I believe its specific to iTunes not a particular device.

Same thing here- Get the email but nothing but the Inside featurette. It's really annoying. In fact I can't even download it normally using the check for available downloads feature! Every time I do that iTunes tries to download doubles of three Walking Dead episodes I've already downloaded. I don't want what I already have, I just want the new episode.

Go to System Preferences > iCloud and turn iCloud off.
Restart holding the Command and R keys and then choose to reinstall Mac OS X. If you have applicaitons on the machine that should not be transfered to another party, after the restart choose Disk Utility and erase the hard drive and then install Mac OS X...that will return the machine to factory condition.

Another poster said that if you sign out of your iTunes Store account, go to the item you wish to gift, and select "gift" and go through the purchase process, it will then ask you for your account information and send the gift. I haven't tried this myself, but it's worth a go.

I have created a password file orapw<sid>.ora under dbs directory and set the remote_login_passwordfile=exclusive. I am getting the below error when I tried to give sysdba to user1.
ORA-01994 Grant Failed : Password file missing or disabled.
Kindly share your knowledge in this regards.

1. drop the current password file if exists
2 Recreate the password file. The user that will create the password file must be in OS DBA group
Be sure that the user has XWR privileges on that file.
give an fully pathname for the password file, under dbs directory ( not mandatory, but i prefer )
3. recreate the password file and grant privilege to user user1

Are you talking about buying a new iPhone in Brazil? You will have to go to the Apple store and see if they offer buy-back or trade-ins in Brazil. They have offered that in the US Apple stores, but the value of the trade-in is pretty restricted. It is often better to sell on eBay or similar and use the money for the new iPhone.
Check with your Apple store and see what they are offering.

I understand you can "gift" apps. But if you would like to give away a larger quantity, say 100 as a nice round number, what is the process? I am assuming there is a prize code you give to each winner- but how do you get these, how do you pay for them, how do you distribute, etc.

Is your version 12 an upgrade from version 10? If so, you cannot sell it and keep using version 12 since your version 12 is an upgrade of the version 10 license. The version 12 upgrade serial number is only valid in conjunction with the full version 10 serial number. You'll need both serial numbers if you ever want to reinstall version 12.
If version 12 was a full version then you are free to onsell your full version of version 10 since you've got two separate licenses. The version 12 serial number does not depend on the version 10 serial number.
