Trying to make tutorial work..

Hello,
I'm working on a very basic flickr tutorial found at adobe
labs:

Basically, I reproduced the tutorial step by step (so I'd go
through all the
steps of building this app) and when I got to the step of
assigning a data
provider to a TileList control, I noticed that in the
tutorial, there was an
extra option not available to me with Flex 2. The line of
code looks like
this:

What I noticed is that while typing out the data provider,
the
auto-code-completion in the IDE didn't have an option for
"result" but
instead displayed "resultFormat". Now in the tutorial, there
are BOTH
options (I can see this as he types the code in the video),
but I have ONLY
"resultFormat" and the compiler complains about that line
with the error:
Access of possibly undefined property result through a
reference with static

Not sure what to do here, this is my first attempt at
learning Flex and it
sure looks easy on the video, but I've spent several hours
trying to
troubleshoot this error. When you run the app, it just won't
populate the
TileList with anything but I've confirmed that my web feed is
fine by
punching it up in my browser. I'm sure something is up with
the ".result"
not appearing as a valid option in Flex Builder 2. I have
posted the

IF your imessage is saying waiting for activation then do this:
backup your phone to itunes or icloud.
then on your phone go to settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe your phone clean.
once the process is done, you can restore from the backup you made, then you should be able to activate your imessage.

I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10.0 r22, I've built the presentation, I've published the presentation and uploaded to my hosting. I have tried everythiing I can think of. It works on my machine; however, when I try to view it out of it's containing folder, it doesn't show anything but the preloader. Can someone please help me?

Quite complicated network situation trying to make Bonjour work

Hi so I have a little problem that I would liek to solve. First off I would like to try to explain my network setup.
So I have a modem/router making it's own WiFi network in the house. My MacBook Pro is connected to it. Then my MacBook is connected using Ethernet to an AirPort Express, with Internet sharing activated. That AirPort Express is emiting it's own WiFi network with a different SSID. Then my iPhone is connected to that second network. Yes it might seem crazy but the reason I do this is that I kinda broke my iPhone's wifi antena so it doesn't get enough signal from the first network. And this way I save on cellular data and everyone will agree that it is more comfortable to use an iPhone with an Internet bandwith of 11Mb/s rather than around 2.5 in 3G and 0.5 in EDGE, or 0.1 in GPRS. Yeah. So Basically this is the setup:
Modem/Router < - - - - - - > MacBook Pro <-------> Airport Expresss <- - - - - > iPhone
My problem is that the Bonjour network service (iTunes sharing/ AirPlay/ Remote) is not going thourgh my AirPort Express. I think because the Network SSID is different or maybe it has to do with the subnet mask.
Here are some infos about the IP adresses :

There is a misunderstanding, I think.
your modem and router are together.
At a distance there sit your MB, receiving the wifi signal. At the same spot I want the Airport Express as an extender, so that your iPhone near it can connect to the Airport Express. The MB can then receive both signals and you choose the strongest one.
This network then acts as one single WiFi network, so that everything works as if there is only one sender, the router, same SSID and bonjour works also. This is method 1 I proposed. Read the post with method 1 again.
Step by step:
1. Disconnect ethernet cables.
2. Place the Airport Express in reach of the Router (what Router do you have, Name, Model, spec a/b/g/n?), say 10 meters.
3. Place your MB next to the Airport Express.
4. Start the AE, and in your MB, start Airport Utility, you will see the AE, go to manual setup: on Tab "wireless" set "extend a wireless network", put in the name your Wireless network has on the Router, check "allow wireless clients", choose the same "Wireless Security" as you have on the Router, and if you have a passord for the wireless network set it; go to Tab "base Station" put in any name you want for the AE (different from the Router name, so that you can discern between them), put in the same password as on the wireless tab, check "remember this password in my keychain", uncheck "Allow setup ...Bonjour".
Note: If you are having difficulty connecting to the AE with your MB to do these settings of the AE, connect yor MB to the AE with the ethernet cable.
5. Unplug the ethernet cable between the MB and the AE (if used).
6. Unplug the AE, put it back to the place where you want to have it (in reach of the signal from the Router), plug it in the wall socket, wait until the light is green, then check with your MB Airport (top menu bar), you should see a strong signal. Start the Airport Utility again, you should see the AE.
7. Connect your iPhone while close to the AE.
Now you have one network and Bonjour should work normally.

How to Create a Dynamic http address that opens the Explorer Window for a List Item When a Button Is Clicked--Currently Trying to Make this Work with Javascript

I have created a button (via Content Editor) that uses JavaScript to open the Attachments folder of a list item in the Explorer Window in SharePoint 2010. The purpose is to have drag and drop functionality for each list item, having multiple attachments.
The button works but opens the "Attachments" folder containing all of the other folders for each list item (one folder per item). It seems that when you add an attachment to a list item, SharePoint numbers the folder based on the item's ID. What
I'm trying to do is take the JavaScript I have and have it run when a button is clicked in a custom form. When it runs, I'm trying to get it to open the "specific" folder for the list item. I have had success creating a hyperlink in the list that
does this; however, the link WILL NOT work until I use the Content Editor created button that runs JavaScript, that prompts me to click OK to my profile certificate, and then opens the Attachment folder. After that occurs, I can use my hyperlinks without issue
because I'm no longer prompted to click OK for my cert.
So I'm trying to take the JavaScript I have and place it in a list item form (custom form) and have it run when a form button is clicked. The problem is I have very little knowledge of JavaScript (did I mention little?) and
"don't know how to take the "http:" address I have in the script and append to it the list item ID, according to the record I have open."
So that for any record I open, the script will grab the corresponding record ID (or list item ID) and append it.

Hello Thriggle,
Thank you for pointing that out. I appended your "GetUrlKeyValue" to the end and it worked. That said, I noticed it doesn't run as smoothly as when I simply click on the Content Editor button I created that resides on the SharePoint List
ASPX page (not the form). The Content Editor button has the same code, minus the "GetUrlKeyValue". I click it; I get prompted to choose my cert; it opens right up.
Now go to the ASPX Display form where I dump the code in a table cell. Button appears in cell; I click it; wait; wait; I get prompted for cert; it opens. Do I need some sort of "throttle" for the JavaScript? For instance, I thought before running
JavaScript, you reference the library first. This code doesn't do that. I'm wondering if there's something more I need to make this run smoothly. Thank you both for getting me this far.

I have a verizon iphone4s and I am trying to make it work with my t-mobile carrier.

My cousin bought an iphone 4s at the apple store and is giving it to me as a gift. She used the iphone 4s with Verizon and now the iphone's carrier appears to still be ON verizon.
The iphone says it's not activated and tells me to contact my carrier.... Any clue on what I need to do?
Do i need to factory unlock it? Or buy a gevey and it will automatically work?

When Verizon unlocks an iPhone 4S, they are, as Chris has already stated, only unlocking the GSM side of the phone for interntational use. The phones will not work on other GSM carriers in the U.S. I have no idea what you mean by the phone was "bought universal". If you had wanted an unlocked phone, you should have purchased one from Apple. The phone you have will not work on TMobile in the U.S. without resorting to things that are illegal such as the Gevey SIM.

Trying to make it work

Ipod nano is a gift I can't use. After registering, I get email from Apple with links to Ipod features. I click on "Using FM radio" and I get "Download Itunes now" it do it. Over and over. I'm going nowhere. I have downloaded Itunes now four times, and I would really like to know how to use this Ipod nano.

After downloading iTunes, did you install it as well? If so, simply connect your iPod Nano, set it up however you desire, sync any content you want on it, and then disconnect and use away.

Help : Lost in Code - Trying to make a simple Click-Through

I've come in search of some help and expertise. I've found a
website which I would like to copy in functionality - in hopes of
creating a simple slideshow of images. They are using the MOOTOOLS
framework for the Slide animation - i've gotten that to work
- but i can't figure out how to replicate the clickthrough-

Make Enter work as Tab in Flex DataGrid

Hello!
I'm trying to make Enter work the same as Tab in a DataGrid -
commit changes to the edited cell and move focus to the next one to
the right, then next row, etc.
I've tried to use something like:
focusManager.getNextFocusManagerComponent(true).setFocus();
or
focusManager.moveFocus(FocusRequestDirection.FORWARD);
but I cannot seem to make it work in a DataGrid...
Any help would be much appreciated!

When I try to scroll down to see my notification center it does not apper. How do I make it work?

I went to the apple home page and was looking for apple accessories and I learned that the iapd had a notification center... I tried to make it work with my mail or messages but it does t work ....I'm not sure why. I have an iPad 2 so it should have it, I go to notification is settings but just for sounds or alerts. Its suppose to let you personalize your alerts and all..

Firstly make sure your iPad is updated to latest ios 5.0.1.
On your iPad click the settings icon and in the left column you will see Notifications as the forth option.
Tap that.
The right hand column now cascades to show setting options that you may modify/customize.
For e-mail I suggest you set to top panel to By Time
Below that are a list of Apps that are automatically available to receive notifications, however these NOT automatically setup so its a bit misleading.
At the very least you should see Mail /Messages / Calendar and Reminders.
You may also have a few third a party apps added such as Skye or various RSS readers.
The third panel has apps that you can manually ADD to notifications if you want .
Now then tap on the the Mail icon (middle panel) to open the configuration pane
Slide the top button next to Notification Centre to ON
Then tap show to set number of unread items (e-mails to be visible. If you receive lots of e-mail you might set this to 10 or even 20 Unread items)
In the alert Style pane you have three views
Set this to the middle one Banners
Turn Badge App Icon , Show Preview and View in lock screen on.
Now Tap the radio button at the top of the Column to return to the Notifications App list
Go through the list of Apps you want to turning on each one you want in turn
When your selection is complete tap the edit button in the top right hand corner and this locks to Done.
Now tap the home button your iPad.
Place a finger on the bar at the top of the screen containing the time /battery and wifi condition and in a continuous movement slide your finger downward (no pressure needed)
You will now find a cascading sheet (blind like !) descend containing your notifications.
Now tap the sleep button on your iPad . When you receive your next e-mail a note will appear on your lock screen.
You can now slide a finger across that note just like you would to unlock the IPad to be taken DIRECTLY to that e-mail within the Mail client app.
That's it really.

Trying to make a graph that actually works

I’m trying to make a graph for my boss that displays
the number of tickets each staff member have completed.
I found this tutorial:

However when I finished it, I wanted to create a dynamic text
box that would display the value for each graph when it said that
the code used was written in Flash 4, so it can’t do that. :(
So I started rebuilding the tutorial in flash 9 but then
realized that the old code wouldn’t work with the new
version!! ARGH!!
So basically I’m a bit stuck.
I’m a beginner to intermediate flash user. But
don’t have much knowledge of the coding side of things.
The main part I need converted is this:

In the top right hand corner of the screenshot, you'll see
there is a "Last Updated" static text box followed by a dynamic
text box called "date_txt". But I wasn't sure where to put the
code, in the XML file! If I put it between the <graphdata>
tags then it creates a new graph bar called "UNDEFINED" lol
Do I create a new tag called 'datedata' or something and put
it in there? I tried various methods but none of which worked. Any
idea how to make that work?

Regarding Pages: I can't access the document I was writting on at all. I have tried to send the document to my email, I've tried to make a copy but nothing seems to work, it just shows up blank.

Not really. Using the correct Digital Av adapter and connecting the iPad to the Tv through one of its HDMI ports is all it takes. Of course making sure the correct input is selected in the Video source selection on the TV.

Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.
