Trying to modify the code in a component

Hi,
I made a flash website with photo galleries using a component
that I bought online.
The component is loading the image in a thumbnail scroll bar
via a XML file and the full size image display in a UILoader.
So far nothing special.
But when I reach a certain amount of pictures in the gallery,
the scroll panel get stuck while loading and doesn't display the
full size image. Then the thumbnails don't react at all.
Here is the address where you can see the problem:
Liquit.dk
The gallery that has the problem is: "Commercials".
If you navigate in the rest of the website and come back,
then the gallery is working!???
The problem appears only the first time you visit the
website, or after you empty the cache.
But the first time you visit a website is the most important
one, isn't it?
So of course I tried to get support where I bought the
component. They pretend that they don't see any problem when
checking the website online. That answer is just not acceptable
when every single person who visited the site reported the exact
same problem. So it seems like they are just not willing to help
their customers once they sold their stuff.
My theory is that the component is loading all the elements
at the same time and I would like to be able to access the code of
the component to change the method, so that the component will load
the elements one by one.
Is there a way to access the code when one buy a component?
If you think I totally got it wrong and you found the reason
why it's not working properly, please tell me ;-)
I also provide all the files used to make that site at the
following address:
mmarauder/liquit_files
Thanks in advance,
Sebastien

Hi,
I'm back with the same problem. It's still not solved and
I've been asking some questions to the team that is hosting the
website.
In order to verify if the issue could come from their server.
They first thought about "packet loss". I ran some "ping" tests to
verify and it is not a packet loss problem.
Which leads to only few solutions:
First - there is something wrong with my flash application
that I haven't been able to see. When I check with the debuger in
flash everything looks fine, but maybe I don't read the info
correctly.
I don't know if any of you guys actually used the files I
provide at the end of my first email. As I provide everything
includind the .fla file. So anybody with the flash application can
open it and check if there are problems with what I've done.
I've been very carefull, but I'm a real beginner since this
website is my first flash experience.
Somebody who has been a flash develloper for 6 years
suggested that it could be a bug in flash.
If that happens to be true, I'll have to rewrite the entire
application in a different way, which will be a problem since I
don't know how I can make this work in another way.
So if somebody can help me or send me tips or tutorials on
how to make that website that would work the same way. I'm ready to
give it a try.
Thanks in advance
Sebastien

    Hello!
    I am trying to modify the Description of the PDF fies but I cannot do for some files because of the Error 110.  How can I solve this problem so I can succesfully modify the Description of the Properties of the PDF files?
    I also have one more question!
    Why is it impossible to modify the Description parts when the File name is missing in the Description?  There is a File name on each individual PDFs but some of them have to File names on the Description!
    Thank you very much in advance!

    Noelia, i have the same problem, did you solved it ?I had the same issue as Noelia when I investigated Noelia's issue originally (see the TwoVideos sample application in this thread: Re: How can I play different videos with only one MediaPlayer?
    I tried running the TwoVideos sample application today on Windows XPsp3, JavaFX 2.1b17, JDK7u4ea and I was unable to reproduce the problem, so it is likely fixed either 2.1 or (less likely I believe) a Windows 7 only related issue.

  • Flash Builder doesn't rebuild the project everytime I modify the code

    Hi,
    Flash Builder doesn't rebuild the project everytime I modify the code.
    I find myself chasing ghosts when trying to debug my project. Flash Builder 4.0 doesn't rebuild my project after every change I make.
    The "Project - Build Automatically" is of course selected. To make sure the problem is real I ran "Project - Build All" several times. Nothing helped.
    For example, I am using a boolean constant to select different code in an if block. Even if I change the value of the boolean, When I debug the code, I see that the constant's value doesn't change. Only If I log out login again, FB will rebuild my code.
    This happens too many times and it is very confusing to debug, when you don't know if the result now is with or without your changes.
    It also affects the following:
    - breakpoints that are set or disabled are not taken into account and the debugger will skip them even if they are set or stop on them if they are disabled.
    - the debugger stops the debug on empty lines, if those lines previously contained code.
    - When I comment out the declaration of variables. Eclipse doesn't recognize them and doesn't show any hint on them when you hold the CTRL key and hover over, but while in debug mode, when you hover over the variable instance, its shows a value for it.
    Thanks for your help.
    Bye,
    RaamEE-IL

    The problem is with the SDK settings selected for the Compiler.
    Try going to 'Project' > 'Properties' > 'ActionScript Compiler'.
    Now, in the 'Flex SDK section', try changing the SDK. Click on 'Apply'.
    This will force FB to rebuild all settings for the project.
    You can try again. FB should now have started compiling with latest code changes again.
    Please Note: This is not a permanent fix though!
    In case the problem re-occurs, you'll need to again perform the steps mentioned above to get FB back on track.

  • Am i the only one who when trying to enter the code for creative cloud activation ?

    I give up,i have been trying to activate a 3 month subscription for CS6 from Staples and every time i try the code it will not work.  I have used the chat live and spent about 3 hours already going nowhere.  I do not like talking on the phone to some help desk overseas and the only thing i think left to do is to return the junk.

    I tried all that and even took a picture of the numbers and blew them up so a blind person could read them and had 3 others read them off.  A simple way to fix the problem is get someone on Adobes staff to find a font that most people can read from whatever product the stick it to.

    Hey John,
    Not sure if it helps or not, but I know sometimes with codes like that its really hard to tell certain characters apart, O - like in Oscar versus 0 - number and number 1 versus lowercase L like in Lima.
    Might test entering it both ways if you have any suspect characters?

  • Getting the error access denied trying to modify the workbook with identifier in Disocverer Admin

    Hi All,
    I have exported a workbook created by business user as an .eex file logging in as discoverer admin from a Production enviornment (transactional databse) and trying to import it to a different environment called reporting environment ( non transactional databse) and getting a warning 'WFS GTP REPORT SINAPORE.eex:Access denied trying to modify the workbook with identifier 'WFS_GTP_REPORT_SINGAPORE'.
    It says Files Partially Imported so clicked on Finish to complete the import.
    The report has been imported under the user account but the sharing to the different responsibilities/Users has not been imported. I need to import the report with the sharing of the responsibilities/users as well.
    I do not have an option login into discoverer administratore using the user account, i can only login using the administator account ( i know loging in as the business user it self will allow you to import the sharing). But our DBA's oppse this is a security threat for the users as you are logging in as the user in production environment.
    Please help with this issue.

    I have the same problem, and I figured out that my windows is installed in french, and every users groups are created in french also, groups like Everyone don't exists and i can't change by console.

    "networksetup is trying to modify the system network configurations" type your password to allow this.Type your password to allow this.  No amount of password typing seems to satisfy the request. The pop up box will not go away!!!!

    Hi Glenyse,
    Did you find the answer to your question?  I have the same problem.  Or can anyone else help?
    My wife’s 2012 Macbook Pro has Yosemite and is using Wi Fi for the internet connection.
    Every time, both on startup and awaking from sleep, a window appears on the desktop with a locked icon saying, “Networksetup is trying to modify this system.  Type your password in to allow this”.
    The window (which can’t be moved or dragged) shows the computer’s user name. The password has to be repeatedly typed in as many as 10 times and the highlighted ‘modify configuration’ box clicked before the window disappears and the computer then functions normally.
    Needless to say, this is driving my wife up the wall…    I would certainly appreciate information on how to get rid of this troublesome window!

  • Why i always get "Network is trying to  modify the system network configuration type your password to allow this

    why do i always get "Network is trying to  modify the system network configuration type your password to allow this"

    Hello, let's see if this old cure still works...
    To stop the pop-up, Go to System Preferences: Security. Check the box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system preference." Then lock Security.

    Hi Baez,
    You have to create a record with country record id in BankDetails table or get record id if country record id is already existed in BankDetails table  and use this record id to create qualified link .
    1. get Country record id
    2. search in Bankdetails table with Country Record id,
    3 . if exist in Bank details table, get record id in Bank details table and pass it to createQualifiedLink()method
                    or
    3. if Country record does not exist in BankDetails table, then  create new record in bankdetails table with Country record id, pass record id of new record to createQualifiedLink()method
    I hope this helps you......

  • MODIFY THE code TO initialize this parameter

    Hi,I have created one procedure,which takes input as a array,for that I have defined number of varrays for holding values,but while testing the procedure i m getting some error like MODIFY THE code TO initialize this parameter.
    can somebody help me

    If it is common error no - then people can easily predit what went wrong in Oracle. I don't think - this is a very common error like 1403. So, it is mi view is that without checking the code - it is very difficult to say - what went wrong here.
    Regards.

    You don't go to the drop down "Actions" menu to reply to a post. You find the post to which you would like to reply and you hit the "Reply" button. You then type your message and then hit the "Add Reply" button to post your reply.

  • Debugging a smartform without modifying the code ?

    Hi all, please forgive my noobyness but it's the first time I'm working on smartforms...
    Basically; I have a smartform that prints out a pdf showing all the entries of a purchase order, but there's a thing that I have to correct... The price amount for position is not correct, because it doesn't contains an extra amount, let's call this quantity "limit", that is a specific property of each row in the order.
    Problem: I'm not that good to find in the code the exact point in which the price for a row is calculated, or better.... I thought I found it, did a little correction but without success.
    I'd like to debug exactly the pieces of code that are in the smartform, how to do it without modifying the code ? I've read something about hardcoding a break-point but I won't insert new code because I'm working on a pre-production machine and porting a CR is not as easy. Is there any way to debug without doing a mod on the code? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Matteo,
    it's quite simple.
    Found the Fm name of the SMARTFORM (Menu Utilities-> F.M. Name) (Something like
    /1BCDWB/SF00000015).
    Then go in SE37 transaction and put the FM founded and then display it.
    Go in the main info of the FM (tab. Propierties) and the double click on the main program.
    Then double click on the include that ends with *F01. There you will find all the code of your SF. Then you can put a breakpoint the piece of code that you want.
    This should be works.
    Let us know
    Bye
    Andrea

  • TS1292 How come it doesn't show the amount of money there is s gift card?  I tried putting in the code more than once, but all it says is that the card has already benn redeemed?

    How come it doesn't show how much money there is left in my iTunes gift card?  I have tried putting in the code more than once, but all my tablet says is that the card has already been redeemed.

    I haven't got access to the server right now (so I can't provide the complete details), but something like 6-700 GB (which is more than it shows in the client time machine windows, but less than what is true (which was around 1,5 TB))

    ====================END OF CODE =======================

    You should first start by formatting the code before
    posting. I lost my interest as I browsed thorugh the
    code.
    Read here -
    http://forum.java.sun.com/help.jspa?sec=formatting
    ...and its way too much code to expect anyone to read. Post a short excerpt of the part you are having trouble with.

  • Trying to understand the code???

    Hi,
    I am trying to understand the following bit of code, currently the code puts each catalogue into a different row of the table but i want each catalogue to be put in the next column
    (so the catalogues appear across the page on the actual web page). The following code is for the page in question but im not sure how much is relevant so i will paste it all and highlight the section i think is relevant:
    <html>

    <%@ page import="se.ibs.ns.cf.*,  se.ibs.ccf.*, se.ibs.bap.*, se.ibs.bap.util.*, se.ibs.bap.web.*,  java.util.*, se.ibs.ns.icat.*, se.ibs.bap.asw.cf.*, java.lang.*" %>
    <% ItemCatalogueBean bean = (ItemCatalogueBean)SessionHelper.getSessionObject("ItemCatalogueBean",session);
       String resourcePath = bean.getResourcePath(null);
       String title = "Product catalogue";
       String languageCode = bean.getLanguageCode();

    </html>i hope someone could help me to understand this,
    thank you for your help

    You've probably already seen these, but here are a couple of links that may help.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform//reference/actionscript/3/operators.html#array_a ccess
    http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/flash/9.0/ActionScriptLangRefV3/Array.html
    What's basically happening is that the "for" loop goes through each item in the array.  Don't be confused by the fact that two of the items in the array are Strings and one is an Integer - variable i being a String has nothing to do with the data type of the elements in the array.
    The following code:
    private function createLabels():void
         var myArray:Array = ['one', 'two', 3];
         for(var i:String in myArray)
              trace("i = " + i);
              trace(myArray[i]);
    gives the following results:
    i = 0
    one
    i = 1
    two
    i = 2
    3
    From that we can see that the "for" loop is assigning the index number of each array element, not the actual array element ('one', 'two', or 3) to the variable i.  So calling myArray[i] is the same as calling myArray[0] the first time through the loop.  This type of "for" loop is just a shorter way of doing the following, which produces exactly the same results:
    private function createLabels():void
         var myArray:Array = ['one', 'two', 3];
         for(var i:int = 0; n < myArray.length; i++)
              trace("i = " + i);
              trace(myArray[i]);
    Hope that helps.
    Cheers!
