    How to write a XML Document to the current filesystem using JAVA....
    without using com.sun.xml.tree.*....
    Document xmlDoc;
         Node rows = (Node) xmlDoc.createElement("ROWS");
    xmlDoc.appendChild(rows);
    and i have to write this xmlDoc to a file called(abc.xml) for further use...

    Have you considered using JDOM? ( www.jdom.org )
    The XMLOutputter class can write the Document to a file. ( The Document however will be an org.jdom.Document object ).
    If you are weary of a new API, you could just create a new File object called abc.xml and stream the data from the XML Document you have to this new File object.

    You could use shared variables and publish them to the network or use data sockets.

    Hi,
    when I look in the JDK1.4.2 specification I don't see any write method in the Document interface.
    However, your solution is the Transformer class. There you transform your DOM tree into any output you need. Your code sould look something like this:     TransformerFactory tf = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
         // set all necessary features for your transformer -> see OutputKeys
         Transformer t = tf.newTransformer();
         t.transform(new DOMSource(xmlDoc), new StreamResult(file));Then you have your XML file stored in the file system.
    Hope it helps.

  • How do you query Oracle RDF database using Java program?

    Does anyone know how to get data out of the oracle RDF database using Java?
    I'm running the following java code and it returns basically null values. My guess is that the get_triple() function returns a dataset other than resultset. I've tried searching the Oracle web site. Am I supposed to be using CLOB object? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
    sql = "SELECT a.triple.GET_TRIPLE() AS triple FROM family_rdf_data a";
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery( sql ) ;
    while ( rs.next() )
    System.out.println( rs.getString(1) ) ;
    rs.close() ;

    get_triple() returns an object, and the code would be different from the code of retrieving a string. Some sample code for retrieving objects is at http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/files/advanced/advanced.html
    get_subject(), get_property() return strings so the code below should work. get_object() returns a CLOB so different handling would be required and there is some sample code at the link above.

  • How To Store XML Fragments Using Functions Such As XMLElement

    Hi
    Not sure what I am missing. I wish to store XML fragments in variables so can pass around and concatenate with other fragments to make final XML document. Even before attempting to concatenate XML fragments, I am struggling to store any XML fragment in a variable. I am trying to use simple functions such as XMLElement to generate XML so can store in variable. I have seen many examples of XMLElement in SQL select statement. Can XMLElement be used in plsql? XMLElement says it returns value of type XMLType. Functions such as XMLElement make generating XML easier than creating all tags manually.
    Below is simple example that demonstrates what I would like to do. I would like to be able to pass the XML fragment as either XMLType or clob. I receive error saying PLS-00201: identifier 'XMLELEMENT' must be declared
    declare
    vTheData XMLType;
    vTheDataClob clob;
    begin
      vTheData:= XMLelement("empno",'1234567');
      vTheDataClob:= xmlelement("empno",'1234567').getclobval();
    end;
    Where as I can use below, but surely don't have to use select into from dual method. I just expect can use XMLElement function in plsql same as sql, such as most other functions eg length, rtrim etc.
    declare
    vTheData XMLType;
    vTheDataClob clob;
    begin
      select xmlelement("empno",'1234567')
      into vTheData
      from dual;
      select xmlelement("empno",'1234567').getclobval()
      into vTheDataClob
      from dual;
    end;
    Hope this makes sense.
    Thanks

    Having said that, is there a more elegant way to achieve below. That is populate two XML fragments and concatenate together.
    Sure, why not just only one statement?
    select XMLConcat(
             XMLElement( ... )
           , XMLElement( ... )
    into vTheResult
    from dual;
    As a second question, is it better to build and pass XML fragments as XMLType or clob?
    I would say stay with XMLType but it depends on your requirement.
    I generally avoid passing around pieces of data, SQL/XML functions are powerful in the way they can be used with set operations, so using them in a piecewise approach kinda negates what they're for.

  • Need help on processing XML doc using Java store procedure

    I am currently working on project to read, parse XML document and store data in XML document into database columns. I use JAVA API-OracleXMLSave in my java store procedure to do it, which use URL of XML doc to read, parse doc and store the data to database columns. My java store procedure works fine when XML doc is saved in server, but got "ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception:
    oracle.xml.sql.OracleXMLSQLException: No such file or directory" if XML doc is in client's PC instead of in server. I think the problem comes from the URL that created using OracleXMLSave
    --createURL(fileName) based on the filename. what will be the filename if XML document located in Client PC like C:\myprojects\xmldoc.xml?
    Thank you in advance if anyone can give some hints.

  • Store XML data in java cache (hashmap as a key value pair)

    Hi,
    I have to store a xml file in java cache so that I can resue it .The flow is like this :
    DAO layer reads database ,create an xml and sends to --> IBM MQ-->our java code should read this xml file over MQ and store it in a cache (preferably hashmap).The file contain unique id for every customer.
    How can we achieve this.One way is to store the xml as an string as key is "id" and value is whole xml.Is this a good way or any other way is available.Please suggest.
    Sample xml:
    <Client>
    <ClientId>1234</ClientId>
    <ClientName>STechnology</ClientName>
    <ID>10</ID>
    <ClientStatus>ACTIVE</ClientStatus>
    - <LEAccount>
    <ClientLE>678989</ClientLE>
    <LEId>56743</LEId>
    - <Account>
    <AccountNumber>9876543678</AccountNumber>
    </Account>
    </LEAccount>
    - <Service>
    <Cindicator>Y2Y</Cindicator>
    <PrefCode>980</PrefCode>
    <BSCode>876</BSCode>
    <MandatoryContent>MSP</MandatoryContent>
    </Service>
    </Client>
    Thanks
    Sumit

    A HashMap can work, but then still store the customer related data in a bean (and perhaps it will have some child objects as well, if for example the service subelement can repeat). So you get a HashMap of Customer objects, with the clientID as the index into the hashmap.

  • Connecting to XML Repository Using HTTPS?

    Is it possible to use HTTPS to connect to the repository using WebDAV or secure FTP? I can't run a web server using HTTP.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    The following may help... However please note at the moment we have not certified XML DB HTTP with a HTTPS /SSL / TCPS connection. Nor have I tried this myself..
    Please follow the following steps to configure HTTPS:
    1.     Make sure Oracle Advance Security is installed
    a.     It installs by default for Enterprise Edition
    2.     Create and configure a Wallet
    a.     Refer to Oracle Advance Security Administrators Guide, Chapter 17 Using Oracle Wallet Manager, for creating the Wallet
    i.     From $ORACLE_HOME/bin run owm
    b.     Import the trusted certificate in the Wallet
    3.     Configure SSL on the Server
    a.     Refer to Oracle Advance Security Administrators Guide, Chapter 7 Configuring Secure Sockets Layer Authentication
    b.     Follow the steps in Task 3: Configure SSL on the Server, in the Enabling SSL section
    4.     Edit the xdbconfig.xml configuration file to specify http-protocol as tcps
    a.     Locate the <httpconfig> section
    b.     Change the value of <http-protocol> tag from tcp to tcps
    5.     Edit the Database initialization file to start a TCPS dispatcher
    6.     Restart the Database

  • Reading an XML file using Java

    Dear all,
    Currently, I'm planning to write a java program that will read from an xml file. This is my XML file:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <HUMIDITYMEASURE>
    <HUMIDITY>32.0</HUMIDITY>
    </HUMIDITYMEASURE>
    Now, here is my Java code:
    import java.io.*;
    class ReadAFile{
    public static void main(String[]args){
    try{
    File myFile=new File("XMLFile.xml");
    FileReader fileReader= new FileReader(myFile);
    BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(fileReader);
    String line = "null";
    while ((line = reader.readLine()) !=null){
    System.out.println(line);
    reader.close();
    catch(Exception ex){
    ex.printStackTrace();
    So far the program displays the content of the xml file (with the tags). However, my aim is to make the program display the values, not the tags. For example, in this case, i'd like my program to display the value '32.0' rather than:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <HUMIDITYMEASURE>
    <HUMIDITY>32.0</HUMIDITY>
    </HUMIDITYMEASURE>
    Can anyone provide me with any advice as to how i can do this please? I tried using the tokenizer and split, but to be honest, they dont really work. If anybody has any suggestions, please reply if possible.
    Regards,

    I have found the solution to my task.
    Many thanks to those who have viewed/replied to my message.
    For those of you who may be wondering how the problem was solved, it is useful to refer to some documents relating to Java and XML (as combination).
    Imported packages such as:
    import java.io.File;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import org.w3c.dom.*;
    and variations of import javax.xml were used.
    The use of Nodes and NodeLists I used to.
    Thanks again.
    p.s. More details on XML and Java are found on the Sun Website.
    Regards,
    Raheal
