TS1717 Itunes says it's corrupted, reinstall. I download but it won't reinstall as "another installation is underway". But there is no other installation!! I go round in circles - how to crack this?

Itunes tells me it's corrupted and to reinstall. I download but it won't install "untill another installion is finished." BUT THERE IS NO OTHER INSTALLATION. wHAT DO i DO?

Reregistering the Windows Installer Service is worth a try with that one. (It's a little trickier on 64-bit Vista and Windows 7 systems, but still doable.)
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
If you have a 32-bit Vista or 7
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
If you have a 64-bit Vista or 7
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista or 7
Restart the PC and try another iTunes install.
