TS4268 How to use iMessage with 1 apple idea across 3 devices (iMac, 2 iPads)?

I am using iMessage across 3 devices with 1 apple id. This has worked sofar. Currently the iPad 3 refuses to accept the apple I'd. How can I solve this?

Actually it did not solve my problem. But I probably did not explain it correctly. I want all my devices to get the same messages. At home I have an Imac and an Ipad and then i use one ipad at work. They were set up with one Apple Id and used to work perfectly on that id. However suddenly the Ipad at work rejected the apple id and I thus do not get any messages. The Imac also stays inactive. I have checked the apple id and nothing is wrong. It all works well. Except imessage no longer functions. Any suggestions?

Sign in with whatever Apple ID desired on the device in iMessage setup.
This has no affect on the Apple ID used for store purchases or iCloud.

An icloud account IS your apple ID. you need an apple id to have icloud mail. simply log in using the apple id and use your icloud mail. when it asks you what email to use to recieve messages, enter your icloud mail.

How to use iCloud with my family's devices

We're an Apple household with two Apple-using parents and three Apple-using kids. We have two iPads, two iPod Touches, two iPhones and a MacBook Pro.
Up unti now, I have used all of the devices with the same Apple ID, except for my wife's iPhone and MacBook, which use a different account because I'd purchased a MobileMe account so that her address book and calendar would sync. My iPhone, on the other hand, belongs to my company and data is sync'ed using Exchange, but the AppleID is still mine, there are no special corproate controls, and the Apple ID and apps I purchase belong to me.
Should I simply migrate my wife to my AppleID, and use iCloud to sync her phone with the MacBook Pro, and leave everything else as-is? Then we will have a single AppleID for everything, and her Calendar and Address book will sync between her two devices, and FindMyiPhone will find everything with a single login? Are there any limits with using all of these iDevices on a single account?

I updated my iphone4 and my husbands iphone3s and my ipad2 to iOS6. I have one apple account for all of them....well now my email, which is my login, is hooked to all 3 for imessage. So if I send my husband a imessage it sends it to all 3 of them....I have shut off iMessage on our phones but would like to know how to unlink my husbands phone at least..I never had a problem before the upgrade....an suggestions.

Ok..I figured it out. I had to go to settings on my ipad and go to messages. Then click on send & recieve...I had to then uncheck my iphone number and my husbands number and only have my email address check for the ipad....now its all back to normal again.

So I am looking to buy a receiver for my home theater. I already own an Apple TV (not used it yet). I do see that there are receivers that come with Airplay already installed. So pardon a bit of ignorance here, since I have Apply TV - I would *not* need to get a receiver that already has Airplay. I can get a normal receiver, and use Apple TV to stream my music via my receiver, as well as show video content on my TV (while audio plays through the receiver), correct? And this is fairly straight forward to setup? Thanks!!!

You could still get an airplay receiver and stream the audio wirelessly but they tend to be more expensive. Otherwise just get one of the others and you can connect via the optical port on ATV

I want to use mirroring from my macbook pro onto my apple TV but I cannot find the airplay icon/app on either my macbook or my iphone 4S, what do I need to do to get started with mirroring. I cannot figure this out from the online user guides and discussions that I have read. Any suggestions?

Disregard...just realized I need to buy an appletv 2 in order to do mirroring.....that really *****!
I like the 1st gen and really didn't need to upgrade to a new one.
If there is some other way to do mirroring from my ipad2, please let me know before I drop more $$ on Apple product.

The newer titles are fixed and uneditable. But if you look down the title list, the older title options are editable. For example, Horizontal Blur and Boogie Nights that was NOT editable in the past. I was able to edit the font, color and size.

However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. I own a KeySpan model USA-19HS to use with our MacBookPro when working on clients networking equipment that require serial communication. I have used ZTerm with excellent luck, but it costs, and is yet another application that I dont really want. I would like to know if any one out there has exacing instructions on how to use Terminal with this adaptor. If I could write a file that had, say, the couple most common settings (9600-8-n-1, 57600-8-n-1, et cetera) that I could simply click on, to open a new Terminal window with those settings, then simply close that, and open a new window (apple+n) in order to get back to a default settings terminal window. All feedback is most appreciated.

1. Have you considered discussing this with Keyspan Support?
2. Have you read the section "OSX has Terminal.app - why do I need ZTerm?" on the ZTerm Home Page? That seems to explain why one needs an app like ZTerm.
3. A quick search of Keyspan's FAQ for your product and terminal doesn't yield much more than how to find the serial ports using Terminal.
Likewise, this Google search also yields little, and variants of that search of such weren't particularly help either.
It appears your inquiry seems to be a somewhat esoteric topic.
4. Apparently, ZTerm X is a bit long in the tooth and there's no Universal Binary for it. It sounds, however, like you've tried it running on your MBP under Rosetta, yes?
5. In researching alternatives to ZTerm for you, I note the followng:• The comment from "Reverb" on this page suggests C-Kermit or Kermit as a free alternative.
• This tip on Mac OS X Hints cites Minicom as another option.6. You may want to try your question on the Unix Discussion.
