Turn off links Preferences

Hi All,
I would like to turn off the preferences, links on one off my pages (as
it is to be used as a report)
I have seen the following code posted earlier
OAPageLayoutBean page = pageContext.getPageLayoutBean();
// You must call prepareForRendering() if the following code is
// included in a pageLayout controller. If you add it further down
// in the layout hierarchy, the menus will be fully processed so you
// don't need to do this.
page.prepareForRendering(pageContext);
OAGlobalButtonBarBean buttons = (OAGlobalButtonBarBean)page.getGlobalButtons();
buttons.setRendered(false);
I have added this to the Process Request controller class for my page and I
get errors
OAGlobalButtonBarBean not found
I had the following import statement but this errors as well
import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.layout.OAGlobalButtonBarBean
I have added the ICX_STANDARD... submenu to the menu I'm using..
Cheers
Guy

Try to used this import stmt.
import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.nav.OAGlobalButtonBarBean;
Thanks

  • How does one turn off link auto-update?

    When we have an ID file open in CS6 and make a Photoshop edit, the link seems to auto-update. We don't like this as we'd rather 'watch' the update so if comes in as expected, etc.. Can one turn off link auto-update? Thanks!

    Are you making the edit by selecting the graphic frame and then choosing Edit Original? This will always auto-update.
    If that's not it, you might try clicking Preferences > General > Reset All Warning Dialogs

  • I am no longer able to open or download most PDFs from web pages. I have the pop-up blocker turned off in Preferences.

    In recent months I have found that I am unable to download or open PDF documents from web pages. Download links either open a blank page in a new tab or do nothing. PDFs that I am unable to view in Firefox can be viewed and/or downloaded in Safari most of the time and Chrome all of the time so I assume the problem is not my computer or operating system. I recently turned off the pop-up blocker but that did not make a difference. The problem has worsened over the past couple months, it appears that more and more web sites are moving to a different protocol for viewing/downloading PDFs. It used to happen occasionally but now I find that I am unable to view a majority - about 75% - of PDFs. I am using Firefox v18 for Mac with Mac OS X 10.6.8.

    hello ahegarty, you could try using the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pdfjs/ PDF Viewer] addon, for more details also see [[PDF files are blank and can't be downloaded on Mac]].

  • Turn off linking text boxes in Pages

    I find the linking text boxes annoying because I'm always fighting trying to STRETCH a box and Pages wants to add a linking floating text box.
    Does anyone know how to turn off this feature completely, so it never comes back on unless I want it to?
    For a while it was OFF, and then all of a sudden I'm back fighting the linking text box feature when trying to move my text box where I want it.
    Thanks for any suggestions or help!

    Pamela,
    No, I don't believe that you can disable Text Box Linking. Just keep your mouse pointer away from the Link Handles.

  • Flash CS5.5 Auto-Saves Even When Auto-Save is Turned Off In Preferences

    So I'm using Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5, and in the preferences, I have the "Auto-Recovery" set to "5 minutes", and it's turned OFF. However, about every minute or so, my projects auto-save. It's annoying because it freezes it for about 2 seconds. It's especially annoying when I'm in the middle of drawing something or doing something like that. It screws me up, and it's annoying. It's DEFINITLEY turned off, and it auto-saves for me still. Yes, I KNOW it's definitley auto-saving, because the asterisk (*) in the project title disappears after it's done loading for 2 seconds every minute. Help. Thanks.
    Here's my PC's specs if you needed to know......

  • Auto-save a) crashes AE and b) will not turn off via preferences

    I seem to be in an endless loop of AE starting, auto-saving, and crashing.
    I reported a bug earlier of AE crashing if auto-save begins during a Warp Track. I thought I could defeat this behavior by turning off auto-save in preferences, but, even with that (the save box is unchecked), auto save starts within a minute of opening a project, and freezes AE (staying at 0% Completed indefinitely).
    I've deleted AE preferences, verified that auto-save is off, and the problem continues.
    Any suggestions of how to defeat this would be very welcome. Thanks!

    Caught in the act. After restarting, fixing permissions, reverting to a early (pre-tracking) version of the project, and verifying that auto-save is still turned off, AE tried to auto-save during a track (this time the stabilize phase) and froze.
    One possible new detail - it only attempts to auto-save when the tracking footage window is in the foreground. Is it possible that AE auto-save settings do not affect the tracker when it is in the foreground? I worked several minutes without interruption in another comp before returning to see the track, and apparently triggering the auto-save somehow.
    Thanks for any help.

  • How to turn off linking on folder when publishing it as portlet

    when I publish a folder as a portlet. The display name of the
    portlet becomes a link. I just want to display the folder items
    under the name rather than have a link on the name. It confuses
    the users and looks weird. How do I turn it off?

    You'll have to wait for the next release. The only solution in
    the current release is to turn off portlet headers in the region.

  • Mouse swipe is turned off in Preferences, but still swipes

    In System Preferences, I've turned off ALL mouse Point and Click and More Gestures. Mouse continues to swipe up and down, and sideways. Have restarted several times.

    I also use NoScript, but temporarily allow sites as I feel that offers the best security. I use Request Policy add-on for finer-grained control of NoScript. I only had to temporarily allow ''thomann.de'' in NoScript for the pop-up window to appear. And I have "Block pop-up windows" checked with no exceptions listed.
    *Have you tried clicking on the NoScript icon to see if ''thomann.de'' is listed as being blocked? If so allow it and/or add it to the NoScript whitelist to see if the page works.

    My only other suggestion would be to try Firefox Safe Mode to see if an extension is interfering (maybe a firewall/anti-virus toolbar). If it works in Firefox Safe Mode you will need to restart Firefox to enable your extensions, then disable one or two at a time, restart Firefox, and repeat until you find the offender.

    If all else fails, use Reset mentioned in the Safe Mode article. You will need to reinstall your extensions, a few at a time, then test, after the reset.

  • Turn off link to itunes store

    Hello,
    I've just upgraded to itunes 8, and now when I click on a song it puts the arrows beside it in every column directing me to the itunes store. I don't want to see these arrows. There is no "Show links to the iTunes Store"checkbox in the Preferences as suggested in the online text tutorials.
    How can I get rid of these annoying arrows?
    Ros

    This has been asked before.
    Open a Terminal window and copy/paste this line
    defaults write com.apple.iTunes show-store-arrow-links -bool FALSE
    or
    defaults write com.apple.iTunes show-store-arrow-links 0
    and press return.
    Restart iTunes.

  • Turning off links on a webpage?

    Is there any way to do this? My fingers, when I scroll down, say, NYTimes.com, invariably hit on a couple that I don't want- I'd love to be able to quickly (temporarily) disable them so I could read a long article.

    Try using 2 fingers to scroll. It works, and even if you tap directly on a link with two fingers that won't take you to the link.
    Give it a shot,
    Aym

  • Convert to "Server Admin" and turn off "Server Preferences"?

    OK, for some reason, the dialog that offered for me the opportunity to convert from "Server Preferences" to "Server Admin" has stopped being displayed, and I want it back. Or I want to run the program that does the conversion.
    Any suggestions?

    You might have better luck in the OS X Server community. I'll ask the hosts to move your post.

  • I had turned off link underlines. for some reason they are back. where can i turn them off?

    I haven't seen underlined links in years. Now they are back. Tell where the switch is so all the sites I used to visit with no underlines are back to looking clean!

    Did you look here?
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors
    Note that web pages can use CSS code to underline links.

  • Turning off embedded email

    Hello,
    I have "Display remote images in HTML messages" turned off in Preferences, but the text in the help page refers to it as "Display images and embedded objects in HTML messages". I'm concerned that even though the images aren't being requested, other embedded objects may be. In particular, I had Opera (my web browser) crash while I was deleting some spam and hadn't used the browser for a bit. Seemed odd. Any thoughts?
    Mike

    But since you didn't answer it, I tried re-phrasing it.
    Ah! You're right, I misunderstood your original question because you vaguely talked about "the help page" without specifying which help page was this. None of the Mail Help articles refer to this setting as "Display images and embedded objects in HTML messages". All of them refer to it exactly as it appears in Preferences, so I didn't pay attention to the fact that this discrepancy was the problem, and just referred you to a support article that explains that other embedded objects are also affected by the setting.
    The only articles that use a different wording for that setting are old support articles, not part of Mail Help. Those articles date back to 2003 and haven't been updated since then, so it should be no surprise that the wording may be different.
    I don't know why the wording is different. I guess it was changed in Preferences at some point, probably just to make it shorter/simpler, and the support articles just haven't been updated accordingly (but the help articles have). I don't think this means other embedded objects are no longer affected by the setting.
    As for the browser issue, if embedded code can
    run when clicked, it's not a stretch to think it
    could run without being clicked,
    Clicking a link doesn't cause any embedded code to run. It just causes the web browser to do exactly the same it would do if you copied the link in Mail and pasted it in the browser. This is a standard feature available in most applications.
    just as images are downloaded without user input
    if the settings allow it.
    These are entirely different issues. Mail doesn't do anything when you click on a link, it just tells the web browser to load it, just as if you had typed it in the browser yourself.
    I'm hoping someone can respond with some knowlege,
    rather than just a belligerent attitude.
    Huh? What was "belligerent" about my attitude?
    Gee, I guess it's my fault having been confused by you vaguely talking about a "help article" that is something else, and for wondering what relation could Opera crashing have with Mail rendering remote objects. Sorry for having wasted your time. I'll strive to not do it again.
