Hi Guys,
I have an reqirment , i have to pick two files from application server and send through mail,i ma able to pick file from application server,and able to send 2 attachment through mail,but only 1 attachment opening properly,other is not opening,
HOw can we sens 2 attachment through mail.

Hi Rajesh,
In your print program, while calling OPEN_FORM, pass options-TDGETOTF = 'X'. This is used for returning print output in OTF format.
Then in CLOSE_FORM, get the table OTFDATA returned from the function module. for example
DATA: OTF_DATA LIKE ITCOO OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'
      IMPORTING
        RESULT = RESULT
      TABLES
        OTFDATA = OTF_DATA.
now you can convert this OTF data to PDF using function module CONVERT_OTF
Then send this data as attachment to a mail using function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

i have one PDF document on my desktop, i want to sent that PDF as attachment to mail through SAP.

you only need to convert your smartform into PDF and next send.

How to send a text file attachment through mail in ECC 6.0

Hi Friends,
As per the requirement, I need to send a ALV report result as text file attachment to user in ECC 6.0 . I know how to do in 4.6C version. But the same code is not working here in ECC 6.0.
Generally to get the data in new row in the text file we use below code in 4.6c.
data: c_value type x value ' 0D '.
concatenate c_value itab-line into itab-line.
By using above code, we get each row of the itab in a new line in text file.
Same code is not working in ECC6.0 as it is not supporting to concatenate bytes with characters. Getting the error like " field c_value should be diclared as type C or I or N or T or P"
Even I have used function module NLS_STRING_CONVERT_TO_SYS to convert hexa to char. It is converting the value' 0D' to ' # '. But it is not working.
Could you please suggest me that how can get each row of itab as a new line in text file in ECC 6.0.

Problem in sending the file as an attachment through mail

Hi,
I have developed a Zreport. The functionality is like on executing this report it should send an e-mail with an attachment of the data in the xcel format.
So, while execting this report in background mode in ECC 5.0, it is able to send the mail as an attachment but the file doesn't contain the data in it But, the same report while trying to execute in back ground mode in ECC 6.0, it is able to send the mail with the attachment and the file also has the data.
So, my question is like are there any patches that has to be installed in ECC 5.0 system to get this successfully done.

Are you using the standad sap function module or using OLE objects to generate excel?
First try creating the excel file in foreground and see if the data is being populated.

Report output sending as an attachement through mail

we are facing one problem while sending report output as an attachement to specific mail-ids.
Every thing is working fine.But for each row upto 255 characteers only it is printig.
Remaining is not comming.
We are using Function Module SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
Please help us to solve this.

After sending attachment through mail using ABAP program.....

Hello Experts,
I am facing a problem to fulfill a requirement.
My requirement is....sending the data of the internal table to an external mail with attachment(excel format). I have done with this. But when o am opening the excel sheet(attachment) it is showing a message that 'The file you are trying to open is in different format than specified by the file extension'
I am using the extension 'XLS' and 'RAW ' in the coding for the file formats.
You can please suggest your solutions if you know or already faced this type of issues.

The system does not trust you....
I have the feeling that the file you are sending is a text file with the extension 'XLS'
If the file is comma separated values (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma-separated_values) then
use the extension 'CSV' if it is a tab separated then use the extension 'TXT' .

CSV is also good for tab separated I just checked by a copy of BCS_EXAMPLE_7 and changing:

How do your employees using their personal mailbox? If they access it via Outlook, please refer to the suggestions Maffiow provided. If they access it via IE, we could not prevent them attaching
file to their mailbox via Group Policy. As a workaround, you may prevent them accessing the third party mailbox webpage via Group Policy.

How to send original filename as the attachment name through mail adapter?

Hi,
I have a File to Mail scenario where the file is picked up from a folder in R/3 system and is sent as an attachment through mail. The requirement is to send the file unconverted and with the same file name.
When tried without creating any ESR objects, it was sending the file with the name Untitled.xml.
Since the filename has to be picked dynamically, I am not able to configure it through module parameters also (where we can set it through Content_Disposition)

But still it is going as Untitled.xml with the whole mail package as the content of the attachment.
Any pointers to solve this issue will be of great help.
