Typekit and Business Catalyst - Fix or CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION

I am a cloud subscriber and Business Cat & TypeKit are supposed to be included... they are not and asking me to upgrade as I only have a trial account. This is my 5th post and I would like an answer and for someone to fix this problem ASAP. There is no reason that I need to post this problem so many times with no help whatsoever. If you do not reply you can cancel my subscription as Adobe has already voilated the terms.

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. It is hard to understand what is happening without more information. Have you installed Muse? Are you unable to sign into Muse? Have you already contacted our technical support for assistance? Working with someone 1:1 over the phone might be the best solution at this point.
Questions I would have:
- Are all the desktop products installations still showing as trial?
- Did you receive notification that your subscription is active?
- Do you still see the Blue upgrade button on the Creative Cloud website when you sign in?

    Hi,
    I am just looking for a bit of clarification on a few things. I am looking at using Creative cloud and Business Catalyst for a new business.
    Firstly, if I have both a Mac and a PC, will one creative cloud subscription allow me to install on both?
    Secondly, with Business Catalyst if I am wanting to make more than 5 websites, do I have to use the partner plan? or is this just if I want to make comission? Basically can I pay individually for subscriptions to more than 5 sites on behalf of customers without paying the initial partner fee while I am starting up? Obviously long term the partner option makes sense but short term for start up it would be useful to just sell the adobe subscriptions without earning comission. Hope this makes sense?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Adam,
    I'm very happy to hear that you want to start a business using BC and Creative Cloud - this is one of the goals of our integration.
    To you first question, yes, you can install Creative Cloud on both your machines.
    To your second question - you don't need to be a paid partner while you're starting up. You can remain a free partner, and just buy supplemental websites from the Partner portal. You're right, you won't get the comission, but it's a pretty good deal anyway.
    If you're starting up, I also strongly recomment the BCGurus "Zero to BC Hero" training program - not only they explain you the BC product, but they also include a lot of great business insights on running a web agency

  • Mixing  ordinary html and business catalyst

    Hello,
    I am trying to come up with a decent workflow for my designers , who can draw up a page in photoshop or indesign, bring it in DreamWeaver,
    then when it is final ,I want the page to sit with other web apps in businesscatalyst like email marketting.
    Is this a standard practise?
    I am having some issue, which may be because one of the designers was using Muse.
    However I want to know if we can add a brand new page in dream wever and let it it seamless with rest of business catalyst generated sit.
    Can any one give me an answer from first hand experience with DreamWeaver and Business Catalyst? Thanks for your time.

    I figured this : we need to first  create a site through the business catalyst site  option in dream weaver.
    Once it is done we can import other sites into the same site, by first creating a local copy of the site to be imported and then specifying the same business catalyst site that we created already as the remote server.
    After that we can selectively upload individual files /pages from the importing site[local copy].

  • Create and send EDM using Adobe MUSE and Business Catalyst.

    There is just one thing missing in my armour as a graphic designer – creating and sending EDMs.
    Given the success of creating websites using Adobe Muse, an EDM functionality would be a fantastic addition to MUSE and Business Catalyst (BC). Imagine this:
    1. I open Adobe Muse.
    2. I select "New EDM"  (instead of "New Site").
    3. I design and build my EDM to spec.
    4. I test my EDM using 'Preview' or a single send to myself.
    5. I publish my EDM to Business Catalyst.
    6. In BC, I review my EDM and add 'FROM NAME', 'FROM EMAIL ADDRESS' and 'SUBJECT'.
    7. I import my database.
    8. I hit SEND!
    After my EDM has gone out, I can review a report in BC - just like any report for a website.
    As a designer that does not know code but can build a website using MUSE - creating an EDM is the one thing I can't personally offer. Using a digital supplier can be expensive and website like Mail Chimp aren't professional enough.
    To the Adobe Muse team, please – for the love of humanity – consider this as viable addition to MUSE. You will save a lot of heart ache and win a lot of hearts.

    My campaign emails all go out with "My Adobe Partner and Business Catalyst" at the bottom of each email.

    Are you a BC partner and have a partner portal? Go to your settings and you set your own info or place blank characters to have it blank. Otherwise you cant.

  • Adding a search bar when using Muse and Business Catalyst

    I am creating a site with Adobe muse and Business Catalyst integration for blogs and ecommerce.  I know you can add a search bar using this tutorial from Muse Themes. However, will it search everything created between both Muse and Business Catalyst, or will it only search for Muse created content if inserted in Muse?
    Does anyone know?

    When you create a search option in a Business Catalyst site, it searches everyting in the site, all th contents of the site that is. So, whatever the content of the site is, it will be indexed for searching purposes, provided you used the BC search bar.

    Hello! I've been watching this useful video (http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-muse/working-with-typekit-fonts/eng/) but I have a dobut. I'd like to know if Typekit works correctly if I don't use Adobe Business Catalyst to upload my website and I use another server to host my website.

    You can use your own server to host websites with typekit fonts. The only thing that requires BC hosting is the use of their form features.

  • How do I edit the CSS of a Dynamic Menu with Dreamweaver and Business Catalyst.

    I've watched tutorials on v2 menu module and it obviously was not made for someone just starting out in Business Catalyst. I want to edit the CSS of my Dynamic Module, preferably V1, but if I have to use version 2 I will. The problem I am running into is that the width of the menu I am trying to make is not big enough. The menu is extremely simple, I could whip it up with css and html in a matter of minutes. Just black words horizontal layout with a dark red hover color and selected state. I can change all that in Business Catalyst Site Manager just fine, however, the width of my menu when I look at it on the site, is way too small. Probably only 750px wide. I want it 1000px wide, but I haven't the faintest idea of where to find that information to change. When I add the menu module to my html code i get this: {module_menu,1534789}. How do I add or find css/html to edit the properties? I know I can add classes to the items inside the menu in the Site Manager, but where do I find the html code that shows those names?
    I'm obviously missing something important and probably really easy, so I hope someone can help.

    I went ahead and built the navigation without a module, easier than wasting all this time trying to figure it out.
    But initially my main problem was when I add the Menu module to my html in dreamweaver, this:  {module_menu,1534789} would be put in my html instead of css/html code. Now if publish my site and look at the page source, it shows the css/html, but it doesn't in dreamweaver. So is that the only way to edit the css/html code, copy the page source and replace the {module_menu,1534789} with the copied code in dreamweaver?

  • Can't use Hosting and Business Catalyst

    I have full CC-Membership, but can't use Hosting and BC.
    Following messages appearing on my CC-Account:
    On the apps-Page:
    "Full Creative Cloud Membership comes with hosting for up to 5 sites. View and manage these sites from the sidebar on the Creative Cloud home page."
    On the sidebar
    "Full Creative Cloud Membership comes with hosting for up to 5 sites."

    Same. This had me perplexed too for a while. And the 'help' pages aren't particularly 'helpful', so I did little poking around in the apps themselves.
    As it turns out, if you open up Dreamweaver and go to the 'Site' menu, there's an option to create a Business Catalyst test site from there (Dreamweaver helpfully crashed for me while doing this, but upon reopening it was all working). You pick a  site name and subdomain, assign a local folder, it asks for your CC/Adobe credentials (because it would make too much sense to just sign in automatically) and you should be good to go.
    After doing this and uploading a dummy test page, when I reloaded the Creative Cloud homepage it was now listing my test site undeneath the aforementioned confusing text in the sidebar.

    Does anyone work with a site with incorporates Edge Animations that is hosted on Business Catalyst?  I am asking because my Edge animations run fine on my page on preview in browser but do not run at all when uploaded to BC.  Here is my script:

    If you are working with your Business Catalyst site in Dreamweaver, I know you can publish from Edge Animate to an .oam file, then insert this into your BC site in Dreamweaver using Insert > Edge Animate Composition.
    Just make sure to upload both the edgeanimate_assets folder and the actual project folder, or else it will not work.
    If you are not going through Dreamweaver, you should still be able to utilize the animation; however, you would just need to (a) make sure the <!--Adobe Edge Runtime--> code gets put into the <head> of your BC site, (b) upload all the necessary files (i.e. the .js files and any assets), and (c) correctly reference their locations in the code.
    e.g. if you upload the Index_Desktop_Animation_2_edgePreload.js file to the root of your site, you would need to change the src="/Index_Desktop_Animation_2_edgePreload.js" to make sure the file would load properly.

    Hello. Normally I don't take on CMS or E-Commerce sites because I'm kinda simple in the head when it comes to figuring out code and stuff, but with the integration between Adobe Muse and Adobe Business Catalyst I'm thinking about giving it a shot. (And I kinda need the moolah, to be honest...)
    I'm trying to bid two sites, one CMS and one a fairly small E-Commerce, both for the same customer. I'm hoping to find a kind and patient person with Business Catalyst and Muse experience who can help me figure out what BC will cost so I can bid the job accurately (BC has so many different packages and whatnot I really don't know which one to buy - I'm truly baffled by the options and don't want to bid the sites based on BC costing me $400 a year, only to find I need to buy the $900/month option), then help answer all the goofy questions I'll have when I try to get Muse and BC to work together. If anyone is willing to help me through this project via phone and/or e-mail, please PM me - I'll gladly pay for your time (I don't expect good advice for free).

  • Publishing a Unique Site Using Dreamweaver CS6 and Business Catalyst

    What are the steps to publishing a unique site using Business Catalyst with Dreamweaver? By "unique site" I mean not using Business Catalyst templates, but rather my own original site design and directory. Also, does Business Catalyst support flash based sites? I tried to start a new BC site using one of my flash based sites and it wouldn't show up in the preview, but rather resorted to using a layout of one of the BC templates. I can't find any information on how this all works as a Creative Cloud subscriber. For example, you provide "learn more" links from the website seciton on the CreativeCloud default subsriber's page, but when I click on that there is no relative information other than some videos about Muse and Dreamweaver, but nothing on how I can use either of those apps as integrated with publishing sites on Business Catalyst. There is a BC help page: http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst.html?promoid=IMJLB but this is in context of being a BC member, not a Creative Cloud subsriber so all of the information doesn't relate, especially if someone want to publish a unique site using Creative Cloud.
