Unable to bind integer value to VO in OAF

Hi all,
I was trying to bind a integer value to a VO using setWhereClauseParam(1, myId); but it gave error while compiling.
Can anyone please tell me the reason why i got error?
Thanks,
Sukesh

Three things:
1) OAF has it'S own forum!
2) which exception you got?
3) which exact version?

    String sample = ""+samplevar// You should better stick with a number object type:
    Integer sample = new Integer(samplevar );
    // or leave conversion to autoboxing (java 1.5+)
    Integer sample = samplevar ;request.setAttribute("sampleVar",10) is same as request.setAttribute("sampleVar",new Integer(10)) ;
    No explicit AotoBoxing is required as the second argumet is of java.lang.Object type. It will automatically autobox with java.lang.Integer.

    request.setAttribute("sampleVar",sample );// you must put that in the response, not in the request...
    response.setAttribute("sampleVar",sample );This is not right. You have to set the attribute in request object as you are getting the attribute back in jsp from the request object.

    kindly help.request.getAttribute("noOfCols") gives you an object of java.lang.Object. Integer.parseInt(String str) requires a string.
    do this....
    int numberofcols = Integer.parseInt(request.getAttribute("noOfCols").toString());

  • Outlook connector unable to bind to ldap

    We are running outlook connector 7.3.106.4. with a JES 2005Q4 backend.
    Over the weekend we have restarted the whole environment due to upgrades. no configuration changes where made.
    Today we have users of the outlook connector getting the message 'unable to bind to "servername"' when going to access the global address book within outlook.
    Can anyone give me some pointers on where i might start looking.
    I've verified that services are running and there are errors in the slapd logs

    The only thing that is standing out for me right now is that users who are binding using their ldap uid seem to work and those who are binding with their 'iplanet-am-user-alias-list' name are failing. I'm not sure that makes sense though.

    Hi,
    I have a message rule set up through the webmail view
    that moves mail with [-SPAM-] in the subject (picked
    up by our edge filters) into the Junk Email
    folder. This rule works fine, I can view the
    messages in there through webamil, if i log in over
    IMAP using thunderbird or whatever I can see the
    messages...
    The problem is that through the outlook connector,
    there are no messages in there. The folder exists, I
    can copy messages in there using outlook and they are
    visible, but all the mail that is there already is
    effectively invisible?Are the messages you copy via Outlook visible via IMAP (Thunderbird) or webmail?
    Have you tried re-syncing the folder, to do this:
    1. Within Outlook, right-click on the folder
    2. Select "Properties"
    3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
    4. Click on "Empty and resync" button.
    Regards,
    Shane.

  • Unable to bind to properties of actionscript object

    Hello Forum Folks,
    I built a bread crumb object that extends UIComponent:
    package com.XXX.bidboard
    import mx.core.UIComponent;
    public class BreadCrumb extends UIComponent
    [Bindable]
    private var _pageTitle:String;
    [Bindable]
    private var _component:String;
    [Bindable]
    private var _order:Number;
    [Bindable]
    private var _pageVisited:Boolean;
    [Bindable]
    private var _notLast:Boolean;
    public function BreadCrumb()
    super();
    public function get pageTitle():String {
    return _pageTitle
    public function set pageTitle(value:String):void {
    _pageTitle = value;
    public function get component():String {
    return _component
    public function set component(value:String):void {
    _component = value;
    public function get order():Number {
    return _order
    public function set order(value:Number):void {
    _order = value;
    public function get pageVisited():Boolean {
    return _pageVisited
    public function set pageVisited(value:Boolean):void {
    _pageVisited = value;
    public function get notLast():Boolean {
    return _notLast
    public function set notLast(value:Boolean):void {
    _notLast = value;
    Then in an application object I try to create a BreadCrumb
    object:
    <bidboard:BreadCrumb
    id="onePersonal"
    pageTitle="Start"
    component="personal_companies_wizard_start"
    order="0"
    pageVisited="true"
    notLast="true" />
    however, I get strange warnings:
    warning: unable to bind to property 'notLast' on class
    'com.XXX.bidboard::BreadCrumb'
    warning: unable to bind to property 'pageTitle' on class
    'com.XXX.bidboard::BreadCrumb'
    warning: unable to bind to property 'pageVisited' on class
    'com.XXX.bidboard::BreadCrumb'
    Why? Everything seems to look correct. What is really strange
    is that it only gives the warnings on notLast, pageTitle, and
    pageVisited but not order or component. The only difference I can
    tell betweeen the two groups are the fact that one group has
    capital letters and other doesn't - However I can imagine this is
    the cause of the problem. (I tried everything in lowercase and the
    warning still appeared).
    Any ideas? I'm willing to try anything to solve this mystery.
    Did I miss something?
    Thanks in advance!

    Allow me to answer my own question. I found on Daniel's blog
    http://life.neophi.com/danielr/2006/08/binding_error.html)
    the answer to the unconverted Bindable metadata warning. Appearntly
    if I switch the order of the setters and getters, such that the
    setter show up first, the warning disappears. Not sure why the
    flash engine needs it that way, but it does. All works now!
    Thanks,

  • Unable to see the values in detail block

    Hello,
    I have a master detail block, when I query the form, I am unable to see the values for a particular field(Column), all other columns appear properly in the details block, Upon checking the same table(s) in SQL ( by using the JOIN defined in the where clause of the relationship in Forms) , it shows the relevant records for all fields. So what could be wrong with the Form, please advise.
    Thanks

    I have just checked the field its a non-database field which is being used as a LOV column to display a value derived from LOV. How do I make this populate at Query time, as obviously this works when the Form is in a insert mode but not for Query mode. How to make it work for Query ? As it for LOV column and non-database filed, ignore my first suggestion.
    Does your non-database filed has associate any column ?
    For example, you have SUPPLIER_ID (database column) and SUPPLIER_NAME (non-database column). SUPPLIER_NAME has LOV column. And when selecting supplier name from LOV value also assign at supplier_id.
    Now to show supplier name when querying, you have to write POST-CHANGE trigger at supplier_id. like
    SELECT ASSC_CODE INTO :MST_SUPPLIER.ACC_CODE
    FROM ACC_SUB_SUB_CONTROL
    WHERE ASSC_ID=:MST_SUPPLIER.SUPP_ASSC_ID;Hope this helps

    Like this:
    com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user = WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getUser("cmadmin_service");

    Hi,
    Do you mean that you have Office 2007 and Office 2010 both installed in you computer?
    Based on my test, I copy a Access 2010 database into a computer only installed Offic 2007, then using Excel 2007 to import Access database data, no error occurred.
    So double click the Access database to see whether the databased is opened with Access 2007 or Access 2010. If it is opened with Access 2010, then try to save it as Access 2007 to
    check the issue.

  • How to use bind variable value of one VO as initial value for other VO row?

    JDeveloper 10.1.3.3, ADF Faces, ADF BC
    Hi,
    I have two View Objects: one read only with several bound variables and another editable entity based. Correspondingly there are two ADF Faces pages: first contains search form based on the read-only VO and second create form based on the editable VO. The search form has several hidden fields for some of bound variables because they aren't edited directly by user. These fields are updated with PPR when user selects other search criteria from LOV.
    There is a command button in the first page that navigates to the second form. Is there any way to transfer values of bound variables from the first VO to the second VO as initial values of the new row?
    I tried to set custom controller for the second page and retrieve search criteria values from request parameter map but values from hidden fields are missing. I think because that these fields are updated by PPR. Of course I can add custom action method to the navigation button and in the method put these values to request parameter map but I hope there is better solution.
    Thanks,
    Marius

    To summarize, given a bind variable value for one VO, on creating a row in a second VO, for 1 of the attributes of the second VO, you want to use the first VO's bind variable value. Correct?

    2) Ensure you have a ViewImpl for your 1st VO (where the bind variable will exist) - lets refer to that VO as "Alpha"
    3) Ensure you have a ViewRowImpl for your 2nd VO (the one you want to default the value in) - lets refer to that VO as "Beta"
    4) For your first VO "Alpha" create the bind variable (say pValue)
    5) In your second VO "Beta" ViewRomImpl add following code:
    @Override
    protected void create(AttributeList attributeList) {
      super.create(attributeList);
      AppModuleImpl am = (AppModuleImpl)this.getApplicationModule();
      String someValue = am.getAlphaView1().getpValue();
      setSecondVOAttr(someValue); // change this code to whatever your setter is for the field you want to initialize.
    }Hope this helps. Let us know how you go.

  • Passing multiple integer values as parameter in SSRS

    Hello,
    I am trying to pass a comma separated multiple integer value parameter in SSRS report and it errors out complaining that it is not able to convert the nvarchar value to datatype int. But it works fine when I pass a single value. Here is the code I am using
    for the report and I am stuck at passing multiple values.
    SELECT
    id,count(*) as cnt
    from table
    and ID in (@id) group by id
    eg: if I pass 10,20,30 then I would get error however if I pass 10 then it works fine
    Is there a different method to pass multiple integer values?
    Thanks for your help.

    A comma is, of course, a textual character and not an integer, thus the error you are getting. Multi-value parameters can be used for this.
    Select "Allow multiple values"and set data type to Integer. Multi-value parameters deliver the values as an array. The query interface is smart enough to convert them to the proper syntax (comma-delimited) automatically so a statement like:
    WHERE Field IN (@id)
    where the parameter has an array of values {1, 2, and 3} is interpreted as:
    WHERE Field IN (1,2,3)
    You do not need to manually convert it in a transact SQL query. That is not the case for displaying the value array in your report. If you wish to display the array (described above) in your report as "1, 2, 3", you will need to use a join expression:
    =Join(@id, ", ")
    As DJ described, the other part to a multivalue parameter is the Available values. These can be set explicitly but given your example, I think it would be best to create a new dataset that retrieves a distinct list of the IDs that can be retrieved, perhaps
    something like:
    SELECT DISTINCT GroupName, GroupID
    FROM table
    WHERE [criteria]
    Set the available values to use this query with GroupName (or whatever user-friendly field you choose for your dataset) as the label and the id as the value. The label field should be something the the target report user can easily identify the correct group
    using.
    If you don't want to or can't use a multivalue parameter for some reason then you will need to manipulate your parameter value prior to consuming it in your query. When you add the parameter to the TSql query and save the dataset, SSRS adds it to the Parameters
    property of the dataset. Open the dataset properties and select the parameters tab. You should see your parameter in the list. click the expression builder (fx) button next to the value and enter this expression:
    =Split(@id,",")
    Note that the second element of the expression is the delimiter. If your text input has comma-space as a delimiter (1, 2, 3 vs 1,2,3) then that element must include ", ". My example just has comma so if you use that with a string "1, 2, 3"then
    the resulting array will still have 3 elements but the 2nd and 3rd elements of the array will have a preceding space which will cause your dataset to error with the same error. As long as there are no non-numeric characters in any of the elements, the split6
    will create the text array, SSRS will dynamically generate the correct "IN"syntax (comma separated) and SQL will convert the elements from VARCHAR to INT on the fly.

  • Getting error 025036 while setting bind variable value

    Hi,
    I have created a view object (ViewObj) having bind variable (Bind_Val).
    I am writing custom java method in AppModuleImpl.java, so that I can use that in serviceInterface.
    my method is:
    public void Met(String a){
    ViewObjImpl vo=new ViewObjImpl();
    vo.setBind_Val(a);
    I tried the below method also:
    public void Met(String a){
    ViewObjectImpl vo=new ViewObjectImpl();
    vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam("Bind_Val",a)
    But when I am running the AppModuleServiceImpl.java and select the Met method and pass the value for a. It is giving me error 02036.
    How to set the bind variable value in AppModuleImpl.java??
    Thanks,
    Rohit

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for reply. It was helpful.
    Please go through the below mentioned two queries.
    My sql query is:
    SELECT Message.MESSAGE_ID,
    MessageProp.VALUE,
    MessageProp.MSG_PROP_ID
    FROM MESSAGE Message, MESSAGE_PROP MessageProp
    WHERE (MessageProp.Key='From' OR MessageProp.Key='To')AND Message.MESSAGE_ID = MessageProp.MESSAGE_ID And MessageProp.Value='B'
    and I have created one view criteria where I am giving the condition as MessageId=:Bind_MessageId.
    And then I am executing my findViewCriteria method from AppModuleServiceImpl where I am passing the value for Bind_MessageId and I am getting the output as I want.
    Now I am modifying my query as:
    SELECT Message.MESSAGE_ID,
    MessageProp.VALUE,
    MessageProp.MSG_PROP_ID
    FROM MESSAGE Message, MESSAGE_PROP MessageProp
    WHERE (MessageProp.Key='From' OR MessageProp.Key='To')AND Message.MESSAGE_ID = MessageProp.MESSAGE_ID And MessageProp.Value=:Bind_Value
    and setting the value for :Bind_Value programatically as:
    public void test(String s){
    ViewObjectImpl view = this.getViewObj1();
    VariableValueManager vm = view.ensureVariableManager();
    vm.setVariableValue("Bind_Value",s);
    **Note- I have written this custom method in AppModuleImpl.java class
    Then firstly I am executing test method from AppModuleServiceImpl to set the value for :Bind_Value. After that I am executing findViewCriteria method but then I am not getting any record.
    **Note-I am not getting any error.
    I want to set Bind_Value programatically and then I want to execute my FindViewCriteria from serviceInterface.
    Thanks,
    Rohit

  • Help with passing integer value in A.S.S

    I get an NSinternal script error while trying to pass this value can anyone help?
    Also I wonder if it is possible to pass the value to a matrix
    on clicked theObject
    tell button "checkbox" of window 1
    if integer value = 1 then
    set button "checkbox2" of window 1 to integer value = 1
    else
    set integer value to 0
    end if
    end tell
    end clicked
    I also tried:
    if state of button "checkbox" of window1 is 1 then
    set the state of button "checkbox2" of window1 to 1
    end if

    I've been following this thread and trying to figure out how to make this work. I was getting inconsistent results or errors with most of the code that has been posted. But I finally got it working... at least on a Leopard machine (not sure if this could have changed between Tiger and Leopard so your mileage may vary).
    What I found was that a checkbox button that's located directly in a window seems to have a state that's equal to 0 when it's unchecked and 1 when it's checked. But a checkbox cell that's contained within a matrix seems to have a state that's set to either _off state_ or _on state_. Trying to set a cell's state to 0 or 1 simply wasn't working right for me. So I get the state of the "selectall" checkbox button (which is a 0/1) and transform it to either "off state" or "on state" before setting the states of the checkbox cells in the matrix.
    Here's my code:
    on clicked theObject
    set n to name of theObject
    if n = "selectall" then
    set s to state of theObject
    log "state: " & s
    if s = 0 then
    set newState to off state
    else
    set newState to on state
    end if
    repeat with i from 1 to count of cells of matrix "directories" of window "main"
    tell cell i of matrix "directories" of window "main"
    set state to newState
    end tell
    end repeat
    return
    end if
    if n = "logStatesBtn" then
    logStates()
    return
    end if
    end clicked
    on logStates()
    log "Logging states:"
    set s to state of button "selectall" of window "main"
    log "selectall checkbox: " & s
    repeat with i from 1 to count of cells of matrix "directories" of window "main"
    tell cell i of matrix "directories" of window "main"
    set s to state
    end tell
    log "Cell " & i & ": " & s
    end repeat
    end logStates
    Note the "logStates" handler is just something I connected up to a "logStatesBtn" button in my window that lets me spit out the states of all the checkboxes into the console log. This is how I actually discovered that the cells were set to "off state" or "on state".
