Unable to compile examples given in the Tutorial
Dear Gurus,
when running "ant converter" or "ant all" I get the following error for the converter bean (also for the checker bean).
All variables are set according to the Tutorial and the current directory is D:\downloaded\java\J2EETutorial\examples>
What did I miss? This is a new world for me...

The Converter and ConverterHome classes do not have to be imported because they are in the same package as ConverterClient. Also I think it is wrong syntax to import without a package prefix.
Comment out the 2 imports, it will compile.

I have tried to see from where comes the "Indexing tunnel" error. It comes from the NXT.Toolkit.DC.FindNXT.vi . In fact, there is an array wired in a while loop but I don't have created it. It is a vi from the NXTToolkit.
About the parsing errors, there are in the same file NXT.Toolkit.DC.FindNXT.vi in the while loop.
In fact, the destroyNXT.vi is not installed. I don't have found it on my hard disk.
I have fond a similar problem in the forum here http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=beta18&message.id=260#M260
It looks like to be a problem with the mass compile. I have tried to re-install Labview and the NXTToolkit and I have always the same problem.

Suddenly unable to compile glib2 for mingw32

You need to add a path and a classpath to variables and class you are using (for example sevlet.*) in autoexec.bat or in environment variables if you are using NT or Windows 2000. -

To start, I inform you that I am beginner with Oracle. I installed Oracle 10g Express Edition on my computer(O/S: window xp)
Then I go on http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f?p=4550:9:4181329966856697::NO:::, I login with system account, I create another dba account etc ... all looks very well ! Then I follow this tutorial: http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/tutorial/DBXETutorial/index.htm
and I am unable to load sql script which is given in this tutorial: load_sample.sql (page:What to do first> Loading Data). I try with a little sql script and same result. I use gedit with UTF-8 and load in UTF-8, my browser is Firefox .
The result is: when I upload a script, The browser returns "script uploaded." Then I can click on my script but the file is empty ! Nothing is done when i click on "run". Also I can' create a script. To import a script I have to copy one by one request in sql commands. I try also to change the owner of load_sample.sql:
But it doesn't work. If someone has an idea ? Thanks for your help.

When I switched default browser from mozilla firefox to ie(internet explorer) the problem is solved i got this from forum post (Script Editor Not Working
But still i want to know why "load_sample.sql" is not run with the default browser(mozilla firefox). -

openide.jar undre Creator\lib.Hmmm...on second thought take a look at the jar files under Creator Modules. Open the jars and see if you can find it there. I don't think it is in the openide.jar after giving it a quick glance. -

2) Yes, it's enough to use all the "commands" specified in TS GSM 11.14. If there will be a limitation, it is generally due to the Mobile phone.
3) Yes you cas use it. And you can make it simpler by using the "jars" provided with JCOP (prior to 3.0, cause SIM Developpement has been abanodoned by JCOP Team).

Basically, a SIMToolkit Applet = a JavacardApplet + more functionlities.
An STK Applet extends the Applet Class, but also implements the ToolitInterface.
you have just to import the required API :

it took me about 4 month to be able to master the STK/OTA and develop commercial quality Applets.
it's just a matter of time, but I see it will be very hard for you do do the job in one day :-p -

Maybe i did a misstake while downloading the JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.0.4. But i am unable to compile any of the above files...

SateeshI suspect you are trying to compile the files one by one. You may also be trying to compile them disregarding the package structure.
From your post, I gather these files are in the package: com.geindustrial.sqms
Therefore, if they are not so already, put them under a directory structure:
com/geindustrial/sqms
and then compile with:
javac com/geindustrial/sqms/AddCtq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/Ctq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/VariableData.java
(The above is all on one line.)

Applet Example in the Tutorial
Why does the Appletviewer lock up my computer when
I try the applet example in the tutorial? Even the
example applet in the DEMO\ANIMATOR folder locks
up when I type APPLETVIEWER example1.html. Actually,
I did see something whirling around once, when I typed
APPLETVIEWER example1.html, but now every applet
example in the DEMO folder locks up my computer. I'm
running Windows ME and I've got the following two
instructions in AUTOEXEC.BAT.

SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\jdk1.4\lib\tools.jarI don't see much of a difference between your path and mine. I tried your suggestion, but my computer still locks up. In fact my second computer also locks up with Appletviewer, I wouldn't be surpised if Appletviewer locks up my third computer. I'm going to try this program under Windows 98 instead of Windows ME. Hi All, I just started with J2ME. Tried to run the sample program given in the sun site. The programs are FirstMIDlet.java and HelloMIDlet.java. I've followed the instructions given @ the location 'http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/articles/setup/#compile'. This page shows how to make the program run. But I couldnt get the color menu out put, coz there is no run.jad file existing in my comp. I didnt understand from where the file should i get and while explaining abt the HelloMIDlet program till jar creation everything went well after creading jar, jad file is been used to execute the program. I didnt understand from where the jad has come. I tried executing the jar file instead, this is the error am getting 'java.io.UTFDataFormatException: invalid first byte 10100000'. Can some help in this. Do I need to do anymore settings ? I think it requires a descriptor file also as well, but not mentioned how to prepare it and where to keep it and how to include in the jar etc...
