Unable to Download Flash Version 9

Running Windows XP SP2, all patches up to date. IE version 6.
I've been trying to download version 9 and so far have not
been successful.
After I click the download button, I see the informational
message about installing an ActiveX component and I click "install
it now". I then get another message about installing an ActiveX
component and click to allow that to proceed. After that I see the
stylized F with the green and white bar underneath it. There is
nothing visible on the screen that says to click the F, but when I
hover over it, it says to click to begin using the ActiveX
component. I click that and nothing much happens after that. After
several minutes I open Windows Explorer and it does not show the
Flash player anywhere in the ADOBE folder. There's quite a bit of
stuff in the ADOBE sub-folders and I 've looked through them and
don't spot anything caller "installer", but I guess I could be not
seeing it.
Troubleshooting I done so far: I've run the uninstaller; I've
tried the download process in Safe Mode with Networking, hoping to
rule out or in the possibility of interference by, say, the
firewall or anti-virus. I'm running Kaspersky Internet Suite.
How should I proceed to troubleshoot this problem?

I am running OS X, and I just installed flash player 9. I am
not able to look at any flash sites anymore. I have been
installing, reinstalling, uninstalling and nothing seems to work. I
am not very computer saavy, but i can normally figure these thing
out. Adobe is no help at all. I feel as though I should reinstall
everything over again on my mac. Please let me know if it is
possible to fix this bug.
Have you had any response Bill? Is there a mac help forum for
this?

The Early 2011 MacBook Pro shipped with Snow Leopard, so these are not the Mac App Store versions of iLife, they are the boxed software versions.
If they are in an iWork '09 folder take them out and let them loose in the Apps folder. Then reindex your HDD.

I am unable to view flash videos on some websites and able to on others. I have found many possible solutions on here and other websites but have not yet been able to fix the problem. I have decided to try and revert back to the previous version of flash player and see if that would work. I have followed and completed Chris Campbells post for cleanly uninstalling flash player:

Since installing Mavericks, I've been unable to download Flash. Why is this happening?

Since I installed OS X Mavericks (10.9.1) on my iMac, I have been unable to download Adobe Flash Player plug-ins and have consequently had to uninstall Flash for security reasons. I tried to install the latest update of Flash today (v. 12.0.0.44) but when I click on 'install now' in Safari, nothing happens. This version of Flash is supposed to be compatible with Mavericks. It doesn't matter which browser I use: Safari or Firefox v. 27.0 and the problem is not being caused by a connectivity issue because I don't have problems with other downloads. When I use the Firefox plugin finder service, I get the following message: 'No suitable plugins were found'. I have made sure that JavaScript is enabled in my settings. What is going on?

Unable to download imac version 7.0 or higher

The hardrive was replaced on my Imac. Was initially unable to log on or do anything. I reinstalled the CD that came with and was then able to reset passwords and get in. I have downloaded available software multiple times and I am still miss many apps. I reinstalled apps cd as well. Facechat mission control Itunes etc come up saying I need version10. 7.0 or higher. Under About apple it says I have version 10.6.8. I try to download update and i get unable to download to this computer message. Do I need to keep installing updates? Any suggestions?? Thank you

do Software Update and then and only then will you be able to download Mavericks.
Interesting - which specific updates are you referring to (OS or apps)? As long as you're on 10.6.8 or higher, you can download Mavericks.

Hi, I am back and can see clearly. I have not experienced the error box while moving the pointer. I do have some examples for your review. I will start with what happens when I start a session. I click on IE and get the error box. I click on red "X". Comcast.net is my home page and the Tab is trying to take me there. The symbol showing that it is running is turning but will not connect. Next I click on the "X" on the address bar. This stops the TAB. Now I click on the Refresh and I get my home page without any error box.

When I click on the link I get the error box. After I click on the red "X" the video starts.
I hope this helps. Also I wanted to get your take on me uninstalling the fire fox and when. I am ready to compose my e-mail to Adobe. Do you want to see it before I send it. You might offer an insight that I miss.

I am using Windows & and IE 10. When I download Flash Player, it stops at 50% and says turn off IE. IE is already turned off and AVG firewall turned off. I cannot continue any suggestions?

Try downloading the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header and save them to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installers.

Unable to download Flash Player Plugin 11.7.700.224

Cannot play games due to inability to update Flash Player Plugin in Firefox. Firefox notes that I need to update, but will not let me do it. Every time I click "Update Now" or type "unable to update Adobe Flash Player Plugin 11.7.700.224", another Firefox screen appears, stating something like "Flash Player 11.6 to 10. blah-blah" has problems and has been blocked by Firefox. I KNOW THIS!! That's why I am trying to update Flash Player Plugin, as Firefox has suggested. As far as I can tell, I have deleted everything having to do with Flash Player...so why am I not able to download the newest version? (I went to Adobe website to make sure everything was deleted, and it showed I had no Flash Player installed.) Am I doing something wrong? I have been trying to download this for quite a while, to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help Me please....every time itunes offer me the new version to update, it starts and at some point in time it stops.
Its unable to continue the download...I've never noticed an error code, but its annoying. I believe this is why my itunes freezes.

Have a look at your hosts file (Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/hosts) and delete anything that includes adobe.com
In fact, the hosts file should be very simple as per

The downloader stops at 12% and I get an error reading "Unable to contact trackers".
I've tried downloading from here, but the download itself won't even start, whether I use Firefox (it's frozen and stays on "Starting...") or Internet Explorer.
Anything I can do?
