Hi,
This cryptic message can be raised on Solaris when you try to launch a x86 binary on a SPARC machine (or the reverse).
Hope this helps

  • Administrators unable to write to a text file created by another Administrator on Windows Server 2008.

    Why are Administrators unable to write to a text file created by another Administrator on Windows Server 2008?
     --- The Administrators already have full control so how do I fix this? ---
    Example:  On a Windows Server 2008 (SP1): user A (who belongs to the Administrators group) logs in and creates a directory C:\foo and creates a file readme.txt in the foo directory.  User B (also a member of the Administrators group) logs in and opens C:\foo\readme.txt in notepad. User B types something and tries to save the file. User B cannot save the file…an option to save as some other file name is presented. The security permissions of C:\foo\readme.txt show that Administrators have full control.
    Work around 1: Explicitly add user B to have full control over the foo directory. The problem is that all the all other Administrators still need to be added (current and future).
    Work around 2: Change the Users security permission to be full control on the foo directory. (this seems dangerous!)
    It is interesting to not that this same procedure is not a problem in Windows Vista. (Any insight about the difference?)
    Sincerely,
    Ian

    so there is no way to change this without literally shutting down the UAC?
    I have files that  I need to modify all the time, and it is very annoying to have to save as to my desktop modify and then copy and paste the file again.
    I would also rather not give myself permissions to the entire C:\ Drive even specified Folders or documents, etc......
    You can change these settings without bringing down the UAC

    Hi,
    I've created a small struts based project from 10g JDeveloper tutorials available on the OTN. I've packaged it to a WAR file and deployed it to the 9iAS server v9.0.2.0.1. The deployment is successful, but when i run the application from the URL, i get the following error,

    I have a question here..
    Will reconfiguring iAS to use J2SE 1.4 conflict with Oracle Portal (9.0.4). I mean we have everything running smooth for Portal so we want to make sure that reconfiguring iAS for J2SE 1.4 won't have any affect on Portal.
    I hope you can reply me on this or refer me to some other document.
    Thanks in advance.

  • War file created in Eclipse works, but fails when created by Ant

    Hi,
    I am having trouble getting my flex war file to work when I create it using Ant, even though the same war works fine when I create it from my Eclipse Export War function. This is a critical problem and any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    I have a working installation of LCDS running under JBoss 4.0.5 (in a CENTOS (Red Hat) environment). I have implemented a datatier in Java to interact with my PostgreSQL 8.x database. The Java code, plus the necessary flex jars and xml files and some mxml test programs, are all in an Eclipse J2EE project that I created from the flex samples.war file. It all works fine when I use Eclipse to create a WAR from the project and deploy it in JBoss. My problem is this: When I create a WAR piece by piece using Ant, then deploy it to JBoss, that WAR does not work. The error I get is this:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Invalid Configuration: see previous failures. flex.webtier.util.ServiceUtil.setupFlexService(ServiceUtil.java:55) flex.webtier.server.j2ee.MxmlServlet.init(MxmlServlet.java:57), etc.
    When I look at the log I see this problem:
    "You have more than one version of 'org.apache.commons.logging.Log' visible, which is not allowed.",
    but that error is in the server log even when I use the good WAR file.
    I have compared the two wars but cannot find any substantial difference between them.
    Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried enabling debug level logging and removing the category filters in services-config.xml? It should show all the destinations being created, and if any are failing. To get the maximum level of log detail, something like this should work:
    ><logging>
    >
    > <target class="flex.messaging.log.ConsoleTarget" level="Debug">
    >
    > <properties>
    >
    > <prefix>[Flex] </prefix>
    >
    > <includeDate>false</includeDate>
    >
    > <includeTime>false</includeTime>
    >
    > <includeLevel>false</includeLevel>
    >
    > <includeCategory>false</includeCategory>
    >
    > </properties>
    >
    > </target>
    >
    > </logging>
    Have a check that your remoting destinations are shown starting correctly for both WAR files, and see if there are any messages in the log that might be relevant.

  • Unable to execute command line command in java

    I am trying to run a command to add a group name. It is executed in command prompt of Windows 2003/2000
    Say this is the command I want to execute:
    net localgroup LordSM /add
    Here LordSM is the group name.
    I wrote the following code but it does not seem to work. Please suggest.
    String ABC=Value1TextField.getText();
    Value2Label.setText("Value is now " + ABC);
    // Above is to get value from a JText Field
    // Below is the code to run command for adding a group name to a System.
    String ExecutedCmd = "net localgroup " + ABC + "/add";
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(ExecutedCmd);
    BufferedReader stdInput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    BufferedReader stdError = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getErrorStream()));
    // read the output from the command
    System.out.println("Here is the standard output of the command:\n");
    while ((s = stdInput.readLine()) != null)

    It does not seem to work means, that no Standard Error is defined, when it executes and group name is not added as well. The following is JUnit Test Result: Hope it gives a better:

    BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 10 minutes 49 seconds)
    I had even tried this:
    Runtime rt =Runtime.getRuntime();
    String[] cmd = new String[3];
    cmd[0] = "cmd.exe";
    cmd[1]="net localgroup";
    cmd[2] =ABC + "/add";
    rt.exec(cmd);
    but again, it does not give any error as such, but it does not create the group name either. Please suggest. We can see the group names that are added on right clicking My Computer Icon and click Manage and then go to User & Group section. On executing either of the code nothing happens.
    Thanks

  • Which user is used to execute command defined in File Adapter?

    Hello,
    in my receiver file adapter I specified a OS command to be executed after message processing. However this command doesn't get executed. After investigation I figure out that it's because the user that is used to executed the command does not have enough authorization to run the program (It's a unix system).
    So anyone knows which user is used to execute the command? Or anyone know how to go around this security issue with OS command in Unix system?
    Thanks
    Eric

    Hi,
    As Bhavesh replied you earlier the OS command is executed by the user <sid>adm in Unix or SAPService<SID> in windows.
    Do check the note 841704 - XI File & JDBC Adapter: Operating system command.
    From Note 841704
    Also note that the command is run as user "<sid>adm" (Unix) / "SAPService<SID>" (Windows).
    Thanks

  • Executing commands within .bat file sequentially within the same cmd window

    We have a .bat file that contains several commands. Each command invokes an .exe with arguments.
    When I invoke the .bat file programatically using the command "cmd.exe /c myfile.bat", the commands are running parallelly.
    Within the .bat file, I also tried using start "" /wait /b "myprocess.exe" instead of just
    "myprocess.exe", but both gives the same result.
    Any solution to this?
    Note:
    We use Windows 7 environment.

    I am invoking the batch programatically in c#.
    As per your suggestion, I modified the code as below to execute bat file directly instead of using cmd.exe.
    Process proc = new
    Process();
    proc.StartInfo.FileName
    = "c:\\myfile.bat";
    proc.Start();
    But still I could see the parallel execution of commands within the bat file.
    I was not able to use Call command as I have to invoke programatically.
    Is there a way to invoke Call command from c#?

  • TS1470 Error message - DLL file - Unable to execute a necessary DLL file

    Hi there,
    I tried to Install Itunes (iTunes 11.0.2 for  Windows (64-bit)), but I get this error message, see attached image:
    It is in Dutch, but it says:
    "There is a problem with this Windows Installer-package.
    A DLL-file which is necessary to complete the installation, can't be executed,
    Please contact your system support or the application supplier."
    Can anybody help me out please?!
    Thx,
    mvanrenssen

    Agree with RajaRani. For instructions on the procedure (doing a "run as administrator" on the installer file), see the following user tip:

  • Importing existing only WAR file in NWDS for deployment on WAS

    Hi,
    I have WAR file created on the eclispe platform by someone. I am required to import that into NWDS and embed into EAR and then deploy on WAS.
    However, i found no direct way to import existing only WAR file into NWDS. Simply importing a file in the web module project will only copy the contents, without that getting extracted.
    Kindly let me know in detail, how to acheive the same.
    Regards,
    Apeksha

    Hi,
    don't worry. It will work. If done this with a Web Application I received from a vendor. Normally it is deployed on Tomcat but we had to integrate the functionality into SAP Portal / SAP Web AS.
    So I just created an empty Web Module Project and the Enterprise Project, linked them and built the EAR.
    I just replaced the empty WAR in the generated EAR with the WAR I received from my Vendor and deployed it on SAP J2EE using Visual Admin.
    In general you should be able to deploy every WAR on every APP Server with a servlet engine that conforms the SUN J2EE Specifications (SAP J2EE does)!
    Does this mean that Web module project is never executed, since that WAR added in the EAR is only getting executed?
    I don't really understand this question? The result of your Web Module Built is the WAR file. By linking it to your EAR you just achieve that the WAR File is put into EAR when you build the EAR. Since your Web Module Project has the same name as your WAR File (I hope it does) you just pretend that the WAR File you are putting in the EAR replacing the empty one was the one that was built within NWDS.
    The Web Module is the one that is being executed after deployment. It contains all the Code. The Enterprise App is just a wrapper around it. I don't know why it is not possible to directly deploy a WAR File to J2EE.
    It could be that you get some problems with Libraries in your Web App that also exist on J2EE (e.g. Java Mail)
    I had the problem with Java Mail. The Version in WebApp was newer than the one used in J2EE so some functionality did not work at the beginning. Since there seems to be no way to tell the J2EE Classloader to load the Child Libraries first instead of parent I had to replace the mail.jar in SAP J2EE with my own one.
    You will probably not even face such a problem so just ignore it for now!!
    Unpack the WAR to some folder in your local filesystem using a ZIP Program. Then open your File Browser (e.g. Windows Explorer if you are on Windows) and put your NWDS besides it. Then just drag and drop the files from your File Explorer to NWDS using the Resource Perspective (as described above)
    It is some manual work but there is no other way around this if you want to build your Web App in NWDS in order to avoid exchanging the WAR in your EAR everytime you deploy it!
    If you have further questions let me know
    Cheers

  • Dsccsetup.exe ads-create is not working as expected

    Hi,
    I have installed DSEE 6.3 and I have created DS instances also. But when I am trying create a DSCC registry with the command 'dsccsetup.exe ads-create' then it is not doing anything. I am not getting any errors either. Just it is skipping to the command prompt. I am trying to do this on windows 2003. I have no idea where to start to troubleshoot this.
    D:\Program Files\sunone\dscc6\bin>dsccsetup.exe ads-create
    D:\Program Files\sunone\dscc6\bin>

    That is strange. Can you check if the registry already exisits? It should be in D:\Program Files\sunone\var\dscc6\dcc\ads
    If it does not exist, can you please try running this command instead and let us know what happened?
    d:\> dsccsetup.exe initialize

  • Cannot open files created in shared folders by Windows 7

    Hi.
    I've been having issues with my shared folders.
    My scenario is that I primarily work on my Windows 7 machine and save a copy on my MacBook so I can work on the same file when I'm out and about. I have no issue saving the files, or even browsing the shared folders on my MacBook. I can create, edit, save and delete files in the shared folder from my Windows machine without problem. The issue is that I'm unable to open any of the files created by Windows on my MacBook; it shows a prompt saying "You do not have permission to open document (filename)." I can't even see the thumbnails of image files created by Windows.
    On the MacBook there is only one Standard user account which I use to login, and one Sharing Only account which I use to connect from the Windows machine with Read/Write permissions granted on my shared folders. The WINS workgroup has also been set to the same value as on the Windows machine.
    I am able to move the files to Trash, but that's all I can do to them, which defeats the entire purpose of me having a portable computer. My shared folders were setup when I was still on Snow Leopard and had no issues before.
    It's a hassle to have to bring a USB drive around to my meetings, and I'm completely clueless on what actions I must take to rectify this issue. Anyone out there ever have this issue? Any and all help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    CR 8.5 is not supported on 64 bit OS's or ANY Terminal Servers.
    The location for 32 bit applications on a 64 bit OS is \windows\syswow64.
    Good luck

  • .WAR FILE

    HI,
    I am completely new to the weblogic environment - these are the set of questions
    that i have -
    ANY HELPIS GREATLY APPRECIATED
    i am using weblogic version 5.1 running on windows NT 4.0
    1.Do we need to create .WAR file for development( documentation says .WAR is
    needed only for deployment)
         (Though my jsp's are under the document root directory i am not able to access
    them if i do not have the .WAR file created)
    2.Relating to the .WAR file - is this entry necessary for development in the weblogic.properties
    file
         #weblogic.httpd.webApp.SVI=c:/weblogic/myserver/SVI/SVI.war(where SVI is the
    app name)
    3.Does weblogic5.1 support jsp 0.92(the behaviour here is not consistent - with
    old tags we get to work attimes and with new tag attimes - also i see examples
    within weblogic which uses jsp 0.92)
    4.What should be location of the .class file(the compiled code for servlets) in
    the directory structure.(inside web-inf directory there are two locations right
    now we have
         the compiled code - one under web-inf/classes directory and one under tmpwar_SVI
    - which weblogic creates - is it necessary to be in two locations)

    As long as you have correctly defined your JSP properties, you should be
    able to pick up a JSP; for example, taking from examples/jsp/HelloWorld.jsp,
    placing it in your document root and calling
    http://server_address:port/HelloWorld.jsp should display the page. Do you
    have a proxy server in front without having defined a handler for JSPs? Or
    perhaps your JSP properties are not correctly defined. Have you looked at:
    http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/classdocs/API_jsp.html

    #weblogic.httpd.webApp.SVI=c:/weblogic/myserver/SVI/SVI.war(where SVI isthe
    app name)On 5.1, to deploy the webapp, it is necessary to add this property to define
    the context name and its location.

    entirely sure. I do see some mention of the useBean tag from 0.92 within
    the 1.1 spec.. Other than that, I'm inclined to believe that you would have
    problems in this respect.
