Unable to hide LOV on Iproc page
Hi All,
Please help me on the below issue.
i have two custom controllers which i am using to hide LOV on a page.
1)xxcon1
2)xxcon2
I have add the below piece of code .
OAMessageLovInputBean lov = (OAMessageLovInputBean)oawebbean.findChildRecursive("Category");
lov.setRendered(false);
The first controller i have set at Site level... and the page1 doesn't have any other personalizations except this.
here the Lov is not appearing on the page.--working as expected
When i am using the same page1 through another responsibility which has "xxcon1" at site level and "xxcon2" at organization level.
Here the Lov is appearing .-- Not working as expeted
I am wondered what could be the issue. when i am using the same piece of code in both the classes.
I tried apache bounc and re-start of adoacorectl.sh services. But i dint help
Please help me on this.
Thanks,
Pavan
I Have added debug stmts while running page.. I could see the java class are executing.

Javascript To Hide/Show Complete LOV Item On Page
Hi All,
I am trying to show/hide a page item which is a LOV page item type. I was using the $f_Hide_On_Value_Item which does not hide LOV image. What should I use to accomplish this ? It has to implemented in Javascript. Any help appreciated ...
TomHello Tom,
>> Are there other options ???
There are usually other options :)
Scorpio idea is a good start, although I‘m not sure his code cover the label of the LOV item. I think for that you should go one level up in the DOM. Using the ID suggestion he gave you, try using the following line:
$x('popUp').parentNode.style.display = 'none';That should hide the entire ‘tr’ the LOV item is on.
Hope this helps,
Arie. -
Hi,
I have a series of LOVS on a page each using the 'Select list with submit' attribute and 'Source Used' set to 'Only when current value in session state is null'. The cascade feature works ok once I branch back to the same page. However when I set the 'Select list with submit' attribute on the LOV item I am unable to save the data back to the database with the submit page button.
Any ideas?
ThanksSteve - Make sure the "save" process fires only when the submit button is used (base the process condition on the value of the REQUEST or use a when button pressed option) and check that no branches are firing before the process runs.

Unable to hide home screen icons
Having updated my Bold 9900 to the latest Vodafone supported software a couple of weeks ago (just after I bought it) I have been unable to hide icons on the home screen. When I try to hide all they drop but leave the top 2 rows showing. they all pop up as expected when commanded to so it must be some software glitch ? Anyone else having this issue ? apart form the common Battery life issues ? I have searched through many pages on this forum to seach for similar posts but not spotted any.
I want to believeI have worked this out on the 9900. You simply touch the screen to open up the menu. When it is opened, simply touch the menu header and drag it down to show the desired number of rows. One or two, or pull it down till they all go down to show no icons!

Try clearing your cache, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How to clear the cache Instructions here]. Then, try going to [https://accounts.google.com Google Accounts]. If there is currently an account singed in, sign out, then back in. After that, try going to Google Adwords.

at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newIn  Hello,
you can check it at GlassFish Admin console (usually running on port 4848).
You need to log on to Admin console with the (default) or changed password (depends if you changed it during installation).
There you could see your web service deployed (usually in the "folder" Web services).
If you can see it you should see also wsdl - for your web service.

How to hide preview configurator summary page when launching configurator from iStore
Hi,
We have a requirement to hide preview configuration summary page in iStore whereas it should be visible when launching from other host applications.We tried doing it with help of usage functionality as below.
1) Create a usage with some name say “iStore” in configurator.
2) Take copy of summary with Status region template and add display condition to hide the summary region.
3) Take copy of the model active ui and attach the above template to it.
4) Publish the model with this new copy UI and usage as iStore to the host application.(There will be 2 publications one with this usage and other with normal)
5) Enable the profile CZ:Publication usage at application/responsibility levels for iStore.
With the above approach users are concerned that we need to maintain 2 User Interfaces in Configurator and each time any change has to be done both the user interfaces needs to be changes which will not be a feasible option in case of complex models.We would like to know if there is any other approach to hide this summary page from istore.
We are on R12.1.3 and are using fusion configurator engine.
Any suggestions on customizations/approach will be appreciated.Create a Dynamic Action:

Hi snoreaustralia,
It sounds like you just need to associate the PDF filename extension with Acrobat, rather than Preview. Please see this document from the Microsoft Help for instructions on choosing the default program for opening a particular file type (in your case, PDF): Change which programs Windows uses by default - Windows Help

LOV /ADF UIX pages does not work on the older version od UIX page
Hi
I have recently migrated UIX project from the Jdeveoper 9i to Jdev10g version 1.0.1.2, everything work without any issue, however when I try to create a LOV or any component that are ADF-UIX based, but it does not work I don't even get any error, it just does not work based on the ADF-UIX (Expression base component),
Any help to resolve this issue will be greatly appericated
ThanksI too have problems with LOVs in UIX pages. I have
some that you have to run twice to get back a value.To solve this problem,
1) open your UIX page where you create a new row
2) in the Structure window, click third tab "UI Model"
3) double-click the control action binding corresponding to Create
4) select CreateInsert from the list
The problem is related to the fix we introduced for the "Blank Row Issue" (see http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/blankrow/index.html).
If you have access to MetaLink, please refer to Note 299860.1 and Bug 4201020.

What are those apps which are promoted on " why you 'll love your ipad " page
What are those apps which are promoted on " why you 'll love your ipad " page. I mean there r some pictures of ipads , and i'm really curious about that apps which are in the screen, cause i 'd like to try them.
Edgy44 wrote:
I mean, why shouldn't those apps show up when I look for them,
Most likely because they are not apps. They are background processes the OS is runnning.
I would expect as the owner to have some sort of explanation of who the 3rd party is, why there apps are apprearing on your ipad without permission, and maybe the ramifications of taking off or at least turning them off. Its not rocket science, people. It really about our rights as pople, right???
I suggest you sell your iPad and not worry about it any longer. -
Hi experts,
I am using Business Intelligence Standard Edition One 10.1.3.2.1 version.
I am unable to hide the Refresh link in No Result view, I have checked all the blogs and forums related to this problem. They have asked to use the following script but it is not working for me in my BI version, still the refresh link exists.
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
function removeRefresh(){
cols = document.getElementsByTagName('td');
for (x=0; x<cols.length; x++) {
if (cols[x].className == 'ResultLinksCell' && cols[x].innerHTML.indexOf('Refresh')!=-1)
cols[x].innerHTML = '';
window.onload=removeRefresh;
//-->
</script>
Please provide me a solution with exact script which suite to my version.
Thanks & Regards,
RajHi,
Thanks for your help.
The code worked well.
Then I am showing my report as "Link - Within the dashboard" as a option in display result of report property.
So there is Return link and refresh link shown in my No Result view. If I use your code it removes both the link. But I need only the Refresh link to be removed. So I just added a code with your code to have the return link without the refresh link.
<!--
<style>
.ResultLinksCell
display: none;
</style>
<div align=center>Return</div>-->

Extending Seeded iProc Page - Options
Hi,
I need to add extra information to a table on a seeded iProc page. I have successfully added extra columns by substituting the VO and adding columns however there isn't going to be enough space width-wise to accommodate all the fields I need to add. So I am planning on altering the table by adding in a "Detail Disclosure". As far as I can see my options are as follows:
- Alter page (PG) adding in Detail section in table - reluctant to do this as this is unsupported and subject to being overwritten by upgrades.
- Extending controller (CO) adding in code to create Detail section in table. Is this possible? Can you extend a CO? Can you create Page objects through code?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi All,
We have requirement to personalization the iproc page.
When a requisition is created and goes for approval. And the approver wants to make any changes on the requisition he will hit link 'Edit Requisition'.
The changes we want to make is to change the price, supplier and supplier site.
All these fieds are uneditable in that page.
we were able to make the price to editable by making 'Read Only' option to false under Operating Unit level.
but we were not able to do the same for supplier and supplier site.
Price column is 'Message Text Input' and Supplier and Supplier Site columns are 'Message Styled Text'.
Is there any way to make these columns to editable mode?
thanks in advance.
JanaHi,
MessageStyleText fields are read only by nature. You can't make them editable using personalization or controller extension.
For that you need to edit your page definition and mark supplier site fields render false.
Create 2 new fields as MessageTextInput and mark them by default false and in controller extension check for some condition like operating unit and render them true in processRequest method.
Or you can do this way-
Using personalization Render false supplier site columns.
Using personalization create 2 new items(MessageTextInput fields). Map them to same VO attributes as 2 fields you want to make editable.

Mukesh
