  • JDeveloper v10.1.3.0 - Debugging Mode - Unable to fiind source file

I just upgraded to a newer (10.1.3.0) version of JDeveloper.
When I'm stepping through Java code in the debugger and I need to step into code that is in another project, I get a dialog box telling me "Unable to find source file".
The dialog box has four radio buttons and in the past, I chose the "Look for the file in project: " which had a drop down box where I could select the project that the Java file was in.
With the new vesion, this does not work. I have to select the second option, which is "Let me find the file myself with the open file dialog".
This latter method works, but it is much more time consuming than the former. Has anyone else noticed this problem before and found out a way to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

  • If I actually import full files into FCP, can I then drop source files into the trash?

If I actually import full files into FCP, can I then drop source files into the trash?   I'm editing now and want to free up HD space.

Just to confirm: in Preferences, Import, Files..."copy to library storage location" is selected.
So I assume I can dispose of source files.
Thanks for quick reply and also the the cautionary note.
This is low-level family footage I export to .mov and share on YouTube, so originals are not critical.

  • Can I change original source files in the project?

I have a project which has become very disorganized over the last year of editing due to PPs poor ability to effectively share sequences/projects across multiple computers. My assistant editor used a different computer and so the links in the sequences point to multiple "source" files in the project (some in imported folders). However, there is ultimately only one original video clip. The problem is that Premiere Pro won't allow me to delete the nested versions of the source files without also REMOVING the clips in each of the sequences that uses them. For example, the project folder looks like this:
    - Original File Folder
         -- videoClip-001.mov
    - Imported File Folder (imported on one of the many exchanges between editor and assistant editor)
         -- videoClip-001.mov
    - Sequence version 1 (Uses the second video clip, not the first - although they are ultimately the same video file)
If I delete the Imported File Folder, which only has a mirrored reference to the same video file as in the Original File Folder, then the clip in Sequence Version 1 dissapears. What I expect, rather, is to see a "missing media" message in the sequence so I can reconnect it to the version in the Original File Folder. But I can't. BIG HOLE in Premiere Pro CC.
Why do I want to do this? In a large project with hundreds of video clips, keeping order is very important. With the sequences using multiple "versions" of the same video clip, that order goes down the tubes and it becomes impossible to work.
    Thanks for your help.

I don't know of any way to clean up this project, but in the future, don't import the project, just import the sequence.  That will not create duplicates.

  • Activation of the activity fails u0096 no source files in the active workspace

    Dear All,
I’m working on a NWDI installation since last month. The NWDI server (NW2004s) has been installed and configured with the following parameters:
    Some Details:
    -     Java Stack on SPS 12
    -     No complete Developer Workplace, we only use the Studio (SPS 12)
    -     OS: WIN 2003
    -     DB: Oracle 10g
    -     SDK: 2 SDK, Standard Edition x64 1.4.2_15
Installation Usages Types: DI, AS Java, EP Core, EP (EP for the Visual Composer)
    Performed configuration steps:
    -     adaptation of VM parameter in the Visual Admin
    -     patched the NWDI Server and the Studio from SPS 9 to support package stack 12 + available single patches
    -     run the template installer => NWA with type “DI Allinone – run all post installation Steps for DI, CBS, CMS, DTR”
    -     Oracle Parameters changed, User and Authorizations created and assigned (UME, J2EE Security roles, DTR => ACL List), SLD (Creation of a new Landscape), Configuration of the CBS with the VA
    -     Configuration of the Studio (SAP J2EE Engine (fill in the NWDI engine), Proxy Settings, Development Configuration Pool)
    Development Steps for an example:
    -     Creation of a new software product (SLD)
    -     Namespace reservation on SLD => Application Context Root, Development Component Name
    -     Created a Domain and a Track on CMS
    -     Attached all Software components to the track (my own dc, SAP-JEE, SAP_Buildt, SAP_JTechs)
    -     Check-In the Software Components on Transport studio => CMS
    -     Moved the development configuration into Studio
    -     Created a ear- and a web-project => Display a JSP File (It’s the same example like in the SAP Course TADM10)
    -     Check-in the activity under “Open activities” => Activate
My problem appears during the check-in phase in the studio. I was able to check-In the source files in to the inactive Workspace on the DTR, but the activation of the activity fails. (I thought that the build process runs automatically after the activation - also the movement from the source files from the inactive to the active workspace?).
I received no error message, but I can’t find any source files in active workspace. The activity seems to be pending. I locate the request in the CBS, the request state is “failed” regarding the request type “activate”.
At the moment there is no separate runtime system assigned to the NWDI System.
    Questions:
    1.     Have I forgotten an important configuration step?
    2.     Can I use the NWDI Server also as a runtime environment (DEV System)?
Please let me know if somebody has an idea.
    Thanks.
    Christoph

  • Folio Builder: An error has occurred opening the source file for the article layout.

I have been working on a Folio. When I sat down to work on my folio, I was instructed by indesign to update my Folio producer tools, which I did.
Since then I can no longer view any article layout from that folio in indesign. Indeed any folio that I create that does not reside on my desktop give the same problem. I can import articles, add articles and they all upload to the proper place at adobe and I can view them. But I simply cannot open them up through folio builder as I previously.
The exact error message is as below:
An error has occurred opening the source file for the article layout.
The InDesign file for the layout cannot be found.
Another strange thing that seems to be happening is that the folio will randomly reoder the articles in the folio.
I have dumped my indesign prefs, tried creating an entirely new project, made a new account and even reinstalled the entire software.
But the problem of opening an article that I have imported or added to a folio, simply not being found to open has got me stumped. I can't proceed with a major project until I can sort this out.
    Can anyone help.
    Many thanks

  • Howto deal with multiple source files having the same filename...?

    Ahoi again.
I'm currently trying to make a package for the recent version of subversive for Eclipse Ganymede and I'm almost finished.
Some time ago the svn.connector components have been split from the official subversive distribution and have to be packed/packaged extra. And here is where my problem arises.
The svn.connector consists (among other things) of two files which are named the same:
    http://www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/update-site/features/org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector_2.0.3.I20080814-1500.jar

At the moment makepkg downloads the first one, looks at its cache, and thinks that it already has the second file, too, because it has the same name. As a result, I can neither fetch both files nor use both of them in the build()-function...
Are there currently any mechanisms in makepkg to deal with multiple source files having the same name?
The only solution I see at the moment would be to only include the first file in the source array, install it in the build()-function and then manually download the second one via wget and install it after that (AKA Quick & Dirty).
But of course I would prefer a nicer solution to this problem if possible. ^^
    TIA!

  • Mapping supplier ID of the source file to the supplier ID of the subtable

    Dear Experts,
I am new to MDM. I have one immediate task to be completed in MDM in my project. I have an excel file while contains the business data in which supplier ID is one of the fields in that.
My requirement is to import this data into MDM import manager. But the issue in importing the data is i cannt map the supplier ID of the source file to the supplier ID of the subtable Suppliers while importing the source file data. As there is no field mappling with Supplier ID in the main table to the source file obviously i need to map only to the subtable of the supplier ID field.
I have tried by importing the data into subtable first before importing it in the import manager and then while importing in the import manager i have tried to map supplier Id of the source file to the Supplier ID of the main table. But mapping could not be done tough there is data in the subtable.
Can anyone tell me how should i map supplier id of the source file to the supplier id of the subtable while importing data into import manager?
    Please help me out.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sireesha.

    Hi sireesha,
If I have understood your requirement correctly, then you want to Populate data from the Source - Supplier ID to one of the field Supplier ID in a subtable -.
    Please perform the following task:
    1.Open Import Manager.
    2. Connect to the Source.
    3. Choose the Source and the Destination Tables in Import Manager.
Source and the Subtable ( in theDestination)
    4. Go to the Map Field/Value Tab
    5. Map the 2 fields
    6. Select the Matching Field
    7. Import the Data
The Data will be imported into the Supplier Field of the Subtable.
Please correct me if this is not the case
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks and regards

  • JDeveloper 10g 10.1.3 Unable to Find Source File (SQLJ)

I live and die using the debugger. I have never seen this happen before. I have a .sqlj file I compile with the other code for a particular application. JDeveloper has always been able to step into the .sqlj code before. However, I have kept the JDeveloper code up-to-date and applied a bunch of new updates today. In fact, before I compiled the latest version of the code, I was able to stop through the .sqlj file. Now I have recompiled it and as I attempt to step through the code defined in the .sqlj file, I keep seeing the "Unable to Find Source File" dialog. If I point it to the .sqlj file it shows me the line I would expect to be at, but as soon as I take snother "step" through the code, I am thrown out of the source and back to where I attempt to step into it from. If I keep try to step through the code and keep telling it where the code is I can actual step throught the code. But that's a huge pain, and it won't advance to the next breakpoint in the .sqlj code.
I have always been able to debug SQLJ files without problem until today.

    Hello!
the jar files are under WEB-INF/lib
how do I compile the files to include the debug info? All the files are compiled when you run or debug your app right? or am I missing something?
Thanks a bunch for your time!

    Hi,
I was remote debugging and hit a breakpoint in a trigger which I hadn't open.
The "Unable to Find Source File" dialog popped up, saying "Unable to find source file for package $Oracle.Trigger.SCHEMA, filename TRIGGER.pls", with SCHEMA being the current schema and TRIGGER the trigger (which never got saved to file BTW).

at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:121)Pre-1.5, there were some occasions where the dialog would show, but now it seems it shows whenever the source isn't opened (tried also with a package).
Also pre-1.5, indicating the correct connection to search the source in would put sqldev on the right path again and the source would open correctly, but this doesn't work anymore. Maybe that's because you had to use the second drop-down, and in 1.5 there's only 1, which might be the useless (first) one from pre-1.5.
Besides, judging from the "$Oracle.Trigger.SCHEMA", I'd say sqldev already knows the right schema anyway, and the dialog shouldn't even pop up.
BTW, after opening the source myself, the debugger stepped right in...
Hope you've got enough to go on,
    K.

  • Unable to find source file

I had a error message "Unable to Find Source File" when I used JDeveloper debugger.
The debugger has finished stepping, but it cannot find the source file.
Unable to find source file for package oracle.e1.bssv....
Project xxxxxx.jpr has already been searched
    * Look for the file in Project
    * Let me find the file myself with the open file dialog
    * Don't ask me about this file again
The above 3 options are available
I checked and found previous posting for use 'Step Over' to bypass this problem. I tried and it did not work either.
Please let me know if anybody has similar problem and know the solution. Thanks
    JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.0

You see this dialog because you stepped into a statement which requires source code which is not part of your project (or you don't have). If you have the sources you can browse for them, if you don't have them answer the dialog with the third option.
You should try 'step out' instead of step over. Once you see this message it's to late to step over the statement (pointing to source you don't have available). You may need to set out a couple of times to get back to code you have sources from.

  • Unable to import .avi files from digicam

I'm unable to import .avi files from my finepix digicam. I get a message that says the files are unreadable. With the previous iPhoto version (v 06) I didn't have any problems. Any thoughts?

I agree with TD regarding Image Capture. I have the same problem with larger video clips and iPhoto 6. You can use Image Capture, choose "Download Some", select just the movie, and upload it to your Desktop. Ignore the blue Progress bar, as it seems to jump from zero to 100% with no real indication of the download progress. Be patient, leave it alone, and eventually the movie should appear on your Desktop. Once there, iPhoto should have no trouble importing it.
    Regards.

  • How to download Oracle EBS patch to import source file  into FDQM

    Hello Experts,
I am not able to find patches for importing source file from Oracle EBS into FDQM.Actually I have HFM,FDQM,ESSBASE,Planning, erp, epm, calculationManager in my virtual machine.I didn't Install Oracle EBS
Please tell me how to import source file from Oracle EBS like Flatfile from HFM into FDQM and share me what I need to install regarding EBS to Import and register the EBS adapters. It's urgent please share asap.
    Thanks in advance.....

There are not any EBS Adapters for FDM.
If you are just importing a source file from EBS, you would need to setup an import format to parse the source file in FDm and then assign the import format to the location that will be used to load the target system and run the import process.
If you are looking to pull directly from EBS, you would need to use ERP Integrator (ERPi) to connect to oracle EBS and then use the ERPI adpater in FDM to pull the data from ERPI into FDM.
Can you be specific on what you are looking to do?

  • Captivate 2  Vista unable to import audio files

    Hi
I have had an audio problem with Captivate 2 and Vista -
There is a hot fix to enable recording which works.I did that
... . but I am unable to import audio files.. even those that came
with Captivate 2 in the gallery give me the same error message..
unable to decode & import wav/mp3 file.
Does anyone have a solution!! Need to do a demo next week!!
    thanks
    phil

    Hi Phil
I don't suppose using Captivate on Windows XP is an option
for you? This would seem to be a Vista related issue. Captivate 2
may work to an extent on Vista, but it would appear this may be one
of the "gotchas" one may encounter when using it in this
    environment.
The good news is that Captivate 3 was announced today and
will work on Vista. I know this doesn't help you immediately, but
will provide an answer before too long.
    Cheers... Rick

HOWTO: Import source files into JDeveloper
This HOWTO explains how to import existing source files into JDeveloper, and display sources grouped by their package in the JDeveloper navigator.
To import files into a new project:
    [list=1]
[*] Create a new Project using File->New Project...
[*] On the 1st step of the Project Wizard, choose A project containing existing files
[*] On the 2nd step of the Project Wizard, make sure the Project source path contains the directory where your packages are located.
[*] After you click Finish, the Import Project Wizard will be displayed. See the instructions below on using this.
    [list]
Use the Import Project Wizard to import files into an existing project:
    [list=1]
[*] To invoke the Import Project Wizard, select the project you want to import into in the navigator, then choose Import Classes/Packages from the right mouse context menu.
[*] On the first step of the wizard, make sure your source path contains the directory where your packages are located.
[*] On the third step of the wizard, Use the Add Class/Package button to select a package to import
[*] Check the Recurse into packages checkbox.
    [list]
Now your source files will be conveniently grouped by package in the JDeveloper navigator. In addition, the navigator will keep track of files you add and remove from the filesystem automatically.
