Unable to install File Upload Utility in AIX system

Hello,
I installed the Forms File Upload Utility, through CGI, following the steps described in the html
document provided with the utility. That is:
- i copied the files UploadClient.jar.sig and UploadServer.jar to the directory
/ias102/6iserver/forms60/java;
- i edited the .profile file, for the variable CLASSPATH to include the forms60/java directory:
CLASSPATH=/ias102/6iserver/forms60/java:/ias102/6iserver/forms60/java/UploadServer.jar:/ias102/6iserver/discwb4/classes/locator.jar:/usr/java131/jre/lib/rt.jar:
- i edited the .profile file, for the variable PATH to include the requested directories (Forms \bin and \bin\classic):
PATH=/ias102/6iserver/lib:/ias102/6iserver/bin:/usr/java131/jre/bin/classic/:/us
r/java13
1/bin:$PATH
(i also tried editing the CLASSPATH and PATH variables in the forms60.sh and forms60_server files)
- on my machine (client machine) i installed the PJC.x509 certificate;
After this installation, i included the Demo Form provided with the utility in my test application, and then i executed
the form.
I tried to upload a file but i got the following error: "FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508"
I looked in the html document, in the "Troubleshooting" section, and i did a test pressing
the Key-Listval (Control+L by default), that would pop up a dialog containing
the current CLASSPATH, but instead i got the following error:
"FRM-40735: KEY-LISTVAL trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-105100."
In the html said that "If this fails then this is because Forms cannot instanciate any Java code
at all".
Do i need to add any more environment settings?
Thanks, Jorge

There are probably several environment variables which need to be set in order for the Forms runtime to communicate with Java. However, to where they point will depend on which Java home you choose to use. For Forms 6.x, you must use the equivalent of JDK 1.1.8 or 1.2.2. These versions are included in the Oracle home. If you try using a newer version (like the one installed on the OS) you will likely have problems.
Verify these env variables point to the appropriate locations to use the jdk/jre in the Oracle Home:
PATH
CLASSPATH
LIBPATH
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
JAVA_HOME
Additionally, ensure that your CLASSPATH includes references to the following jar files:
importer.jar
rt.jar

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to find or develop a file upload utility or custom user interface rather than editing and adding file type item to a page. There is a free portlet for file upload in Knowledge Exchange resources, but it is for 3.0.9 release. I'm using portal 9.0.2.
    I could not any sample about the new release. Also API such as wwsbr_api that is used to add item to content areas is out dated.
    I create a page with a region for "items". When "edit" page and try to add an "file" type item the generated url is sth like this;
    "http://host:7779/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_additem.selectitemtype****"
    After selecting item type as a simple file autogenerated url is sth. like ;

  • URGENT!! Unable to install files to my Palm, Zire 72

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I used Windows XP before. There is nothing special problem happened before. However, now I change to use Windows Vista in a new computer. I could not install anything into my Zire 72 no matter a prc or pdb files. The custom setting has shown that both Quick Install and Install are active. After synchronization, there is nothing happened to the installation issue. It even did not show any message of "installation fail" or "unable to install". Please advise how could I fix the issue. Thank you!

    Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community.
    There are several "stickied" threads in the upper section of this board which you should read...here, and here.
    First, if your Vista computer is a 64-bit machine, you cannot sync with your USB cable because there are no USB drivers for 64-bit systems.  You would have to use Infrared or Bluetooth to sync.
    Next, you need to use Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  You can find Windows Vista information and links to Palm Desktop at the firstthread I have linked above.
    Third, you need to install PalmHotsyncSetup which you will find by going to the second thread I have linked above.

  • Unable to clear file upload fields in web pages.

    When visiting any site which has the option to upload a file, I am unable to clear the field if I change my mind about uploading a file.
    A website has a BROWSE or UPLOAD field and button. Pressing the button brings up the open file dialog. I select a file and select open in the dialog. If I then click on the field containing the path/file, I am presented with the open file dialog. I cannot clear or edit the field on the web page.
    I originally thought it was something with the web page I visited, but then found another page did the same thing.

    For instance if you go to this page again in Safari,
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf06/
    and then select "View Source" from the View menu, then press command-f to "find" within the page and search for ".mov"
    You will find this, which shows the url of the movie itself.
    <param name="href" value="http://stream.qtv.apple.com/events/jan/mw2006/mmw_2006_650ref.mov">
    If you copy just this part:
    http://stream.qtv.apple.com/events/jan/mw2006/mmw_2006_650ref.mov
    And open QuickTime Player, go to the File menu, select "Open URL" the movie will play.
    If you try the same technique on the page at the link provided by your client, it will allow you to bypass the html code that may be doing an outdated compatibility check and the movie may play. Or it may tell you that you are missing components (codecs, compressors etc.) in which case, post here again.

  • Unable to Install Identity Server : Error 20: Identity System Configuration

    HI I am trying to setup IDM system as per below order.
    Oracle DB -> OID (two Instance OID1 & OID2 on separate RHEL5 box) -> OVD ( OVD1 & OVD2) -> OAM
    I have successfully installed this setup upto OVD. But once I started Identity Server installation, installation is breaking with Error " Setup.product.install, com.oblix.installshield.ObExecWizardAction, err, There is an error. Please try again. Error 20: Identity System Configuration already exists on the specified LDAP directory server."
    Earlier Few of my tea-mates Tried installing Identity server unsuccessfully thats why may be now I am not able to install it again.
    Let me tell you at what point I got above error.
    Identity server installation asks two time Directory server information. First time I selected option as "Data Anywhere" and after that I have given the details of OVD (IP/Ports/cn=orcladmin/password) and I got above error. I ignored that error and continue installation and second time I selected options as " Oracle Internet Directory" and gave OID details. again I got same kind of information.
    So I have droped RCU and reinstalled OID ( not OVD) and tired Identity installation but no luck got same error at first stage (OVD/Data Anywhere). This time I did not continue installation.
    Please help me to resolve this issue and I also want to know how can I remove Idenitity Server Information from OVD ( and OID too for future reference).
    Thanks.
    Edited by: 985360 on Feb 1, 2013 9:57 AM

    Hi Parmar,
    The error message "Identity System Configuration already exists on the specified LDAP" is complaining that the schema objects required by OAM already exsit on the specified ldap. The schema update needs only to be performed once (usually the first Identity Server installation, although it can be performed manually as a standalone operation) on each ldap instance, after which subsequent installation of Identity Servers do not need that step, which can be avoided by answering "No" when asked if it is the first Identity Server to be installed.
    In order to check if these schema objects are in your ldap, look at the schema for a lot of oblix* object classes and ob* attributes - if they are there then the schema has been added. OAM only supports OVD as the User ldap store, not the configuration store. When you first install an Identity Server, it is necessary to give OID (in your environment) as the configuration store, and the installation will usie the OID_oblix_schema_add.ldif file to update the OID schema. When you specify the user store as OVD, OAM adds VDE_user_schema_add.ldif to the OVD schema.
    I suspect that your schema objects may be fine, but if you want to clean them from your directory you can use the *delete.ldif files supplied (all the ldif files are in identity/oblix/data/common) for the ldap servers, and start again.

    any setting required for me to do this???

    Dear Surya,
    of course you can have the same behavior for PDF and CAD files. You just have to create a new workstation application for these filetypes in transaction DC30 and maintain the correct parameter so that these files are also viewed by the integrated ECL Viewer.

  • File Upload extension that doesn't time out?!

    Can anyone recommend a good File Upload utility that won't
    time out on a
    shared server? Ideally ASP/VBScript.
    Restrictions on our shared server mean that we only have 15
    seconds to
    execute a script.
    My concern is that this just isn't going to be possible on a
    shared server
    because if someone wants to upload a 3MB image then it's,
    naturally, going
    to take more than 15 seconds.
    Would appreciate any advice, thanks.
    Regards
    Nath.

    This is not a script issue, but a server issue. You would
    need to talk to
    your host.

  • Multipart form (file upload) processing in providers

    Hello,
    Just want to find out if anyone has successfully implemented a file upload mechanism within a Portal channel.
    According to the Provider API (http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6428-10/com/sun/portal/providers/Provider.html), the wrapped request/response objects do not support several methods that are essential to process file uploads, namely "getContentLength" and "getInputStream". I am currently trying to use the Apache commons-fileupload utility which uses those methods to process file uploads. This is also the case for another popular file upload utility from servlets.com.
    Does anyone have any info/explanation regarding this limitation in Portal Server 6, and any workarounds to this issue. One workaround is to have a window popup that interacts directly with an external webapp.
    Any ideas/suggestions will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
    jeff

    Hi Jeff,
    The Sun ONE Portal Server DesktopServlet does not have the ability to process a request with the content encoding type of multipart/form-data. DesktopServlet does not pass the input stream for the request on to the Provider.
    To accomplish handling of multipart/form-data type requests, it is necessary to create a companion servlet or JSP that process the multipart/form-data. This servlet can then pass control back to the Portal channel. The data from the file can be shared between the servlet and the provider by using static Java members or by storing the data in a back-end database and then passing a reference to the data over to the provider.

  • Java bean File Upload - Error-105101

    We were having earlier the same problem of 105100 error. As the solution, suggested earlier in the thread posted by Teguh Santoso, the classpath settings that was mentioned ealier was done, the certificate was imported in the client machine.
    At the web-browser-client machine, the "Select" button in the "fileupload" demo form is opening the FileDialog(that cleared the earlier problem). But on selecting a file in it, the error ORA-105101 is occuring for the WHEN-CUSTOM-ITEM-EVENT..... But both the progress bars, the one that is there for encoding of the seleced file, and the one that is there for the uploading gets displayed. On searching the "c:\temp" folder(folder where the file is intended to be uploaded to) of the application server, we see that the particular file has not been uploaded.
    The same thing is working alright when we do it in the 9iAS machine, when using the "Run on Web" option in the 6i-FormBuilder.
    What additional settings are to be done for using the file-upload utility through web-forms? Please help..
    Thank you
    Regards
    Ranjith.

    If you press KEY-LISTVAL in the Upload demo form it will message out the current classpath for you. If that fails as well it's because the basic Java Runtime classes cannot be found.
    The general things to have to watch in the setup (on the Application server) are:
    1) A Java 1.2.2+ runtime environment is available
    2) The /jre/bin/classic directory is in the O/S PATH for Windows, or the LD_LIBRARY_PATH for SOLARIS or the SHLIB_PATH for HP. This is so that Forms can locate the JVM.DLL (Windows) or libjvm.sl/so (UNIX)
    3) The CLASSPATH needs to contain the 1.2.2+ Java runtime jar file rt.jar. This is in the /jre/lib directory.
    4) The CLASSPATH should of course also contain the UploadServer.jar

  • Help on File Upload on ATG Dynamo 5.6 (Servlet 2.2)

    Hi,
    I am using Apache Common FileUpload to upload a file on the server. It works well on Tomcat . I tried to port the same code on ATG Dynamo 5.6.1, I could not upload the files. After going deep into the problem, I got to know that Apache FileUpload has a dependancy of Servlet 2.3 Specs compliance.
    While I checked the version of Servlet on ATG, it was 2.2.
    Could somebody help me with the same.
    I need some file upload utility that would work on ATG Dynamo.
    Or atleast a way out would do.
    Thanks and regards.....
    Kalpak

    Try to obtain an older version of the commons FileUpload utility if available, which is compatible with your desired version or you can use another utility that supports Servlets 2.0 provided by Oreilly Package...
    The class MultipartRequest authored by oreilly that included in the package holds the whole nasty behind the scenes, here you are the link for the docs
    http://www.stanford.edu/group/coursework/stanfordoki/oreilly/com.oreilly.servlet.MultipartRequest.html
    And you can find the package, examples and the sources here
