when I visit 3 insurance company web sites looking for job opportunities, trying to access their position posting. I am unable to access these pages 95% of the time. I can move all around the site access all their different areas within the site except the position posting

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Can I use Photoshops example images on my companies web site?

On the Photoshops CD, there is a lot of example images, Can I use these example images on my companies web site?

Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 4.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

Why can't I edit certain pages within a PDF?

I use acrobat pro to edit powerpoint presentations that have been turned into PDFs. In some documents, certain pages won't let me select images using the edit text & images function ( normally if you hover over, a blue outline appears, indicating something you can select but nothing happens one these slides), and I can select the add text tool and create a text box, but whatever I type in it doesn't show up. I've tried switching back and forth between the selection tool and the hand tool, but that doesn't make a difference.
I have tried adding sticky notes on these pages, which seems to work, but often makes the program crash before I can save what I wrote.

They are lecture notes, originally powerpoint files and converted to PDFs and posted online. If I didn't have editing permissions, I don't think I would be able to edit any of the pages, but it is only certain ones within editable documents. It seems to be tied to documents having a lot of images, which also make adobe crash very often.

Macbook air will not load requested pages on certain websites (ie. page 2 of shopping website)

When shopping on specific websites (Nordstrom.com as example) I cannot move past page one of browsing. And, if it does advance to a second page, it wipes clean my search request and displays random items from the site.

thanks but already done. I've tried an old laptop and although it was loading the offending pages this evening, it was taking 20 mins to load each page. I need to go to my ISP, I reckon.
Yet again, all the relevant pages go down at around 1700 and then spring to life again at 2300.

I downloaded firefox 3.6.13 and now when moving through sites it will unexpectedly not be able to load a page within a site. How do I fix this problem or revert to a previous version of firefox?

The first few sessions Firefox seemed to be running great with improved speed. Yesterday, when I opened Firefox it could not open my homepage even though I checked for my internet connection ... my email service was working perfectly. I rebooted the computer and started Firefox and the homepage opened fine. I then visited an online newspaper site opened from my bookmarks. I was able to read one or two articles on different pages, but then when I selected another page in this site, Firefox was not able to access it (just keep trying to make a connection to the page). I restarted Firefox and went into an online banking site, again through a bookmark. Again after successfully accessing several different pages in the site Firefox was unable to connect to a requested page.
Later in the day I restarted Firefox, entered the banking site and successfully completed my transaction. Visited several other sites and had no problems, then again Firefox could not load a page.
This problem has continued today when looking at the online paper.
I would like either a fix to this problem, or to return to the previous version of Firefox.

Unable to load some pages on Macbook but can on G4

Can someone suggest a solution to my problem. On the iMacG4 which is connected direct to the BT Homehub (UK), there is no problem in connecting to the web and loading pages. On my Macbook, most of the time it is OK but there are the occasional sites that it will not connect and load to ,yet the iMac will ! The Macbook uses the same hub but wireless connection. The Macbook just times out and flashes up the unable to connect message. I have tried both Firefox and Safari but neither will open the page. So what is set different on the Macbook to the iMac ? Any suggestions please ?

No further forward. Dealer techie is baffled. I have now deleted all Firefox files and am just using Safari. Have used original install disc to do a hardware check..all OK. ..disc repair .. all OK and permissions ..all OK
The iMac loads the pages but the macbook won't. !!!!
Techie thinks it may be a OS fault and to try a full reload of that.... not too keen yet on this step, might just wait a few days to ponder and see if anyone on this forum has some good ideas.

"Unable to load URL" - SQL Server 2005 DB Web Service Connection

I am using XCelsius version 5.0.0.99 to create dashboards connecting to SQL Server 2005.
Find below the details of the steps -
1. Created a web service within SQL Server 2005 database.
2. Copied the WSDL URL.
3. In XCelsius 2008 -> Data Manager -> Web Service Connection, pasted the URL in the WSDL URL input box and clicked "Import" to import the methods. At this point I am getting "Unable to load URL" .
Am I missing any step ?
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Note : I have tested the web service by using it in a ASP.Net project and works fine.

Hi,
Error :unable to Load URL occurs" because Crystal xcelsius only support single schema web service created from Query as a web service and Flynet tool available in xcelsius 2008.
The reason:
All the web service create from Sql 2005 ,PHP script produced multiple scehma web service and crystal xcelsius only support single schema web service which can be created from Query as a web service or Flynet.
Please revert in case of any queries.

How do I create individual URL for the pages within an Adobe Muse site?

Could someone tell me how I can create separate URL addresses for each page within a site? I think it's in Page Properties, but I can't figure out how to do it.

www.karincrona.com is just a wrapper page containing a frameset that hosts your real pages in frames.
It appears that this page was generated by a tool called "ORT - Ovh Redirect Technology".
Displaying the pages inside a frame will not change the URL displayed in the web browser.
If you'd like your page to have nice URLs like www.karincrona.com/about.html, you'll need to get rid of the frame wrapper, and move the domain name to the webhost where your pages are being served.
If you want to keep the wrapper page, you may want to investigate if the ORT tool you're using provides any way of getting a URL to an individual page to show in the browser bar.

In the prior Firefox version when I opened a new tab there would be thumbnails on the blank page below tabs of web sites that I frequented- now the screen is just blank- is there a way to see the thumbnails below again?

In the prior version of Firefox before I was encouraged to download the newest version... when I would open a new tab: on the blank page below would appear thumbnail versions of web sites I had frequented which was awesome to return to sites without even going to bookmarks. Now when I open a new tab it is just a blank white screen beneath. Is there something I can do to make thumbnails appear again on the screen below when I open a new tab?

You can change this in Firefox's about:config preferences editor.

Sorry, but we need more information here to help you. Could you explain what you mean with "my page"? Is this a homepage you have created yourself? Or are you talking about any web site viewed in Firefox?
When you say part of the side is missing, do you mean you have to scroll to the right to see it all on the screen, or do you mean something else?
With a little more info, or perhaps even a screenshot, we should be able to help you.

Missing part of my page on a particular web site

I recently installed Adblock Plus because I had 2 web sites that were placing ads (World of Watchs and Ebags) at the bottome of my Cityville web page. After installing Adblock, the ads are gone but the portion of the page where they were was not reclaimed, i.e., I have a band of white about an inch and a half at the bottom of my page. Unable to access Call Plan or Features on web site

I seem to have no access to my Call Plan or Features on the web site. All I get when I try to get to these pages is an apology and a message that I can make changes by phoning a BT helpdesk.
Is this because I only went live with my account yesterday, or is there a problem that needs fixing?

Are you referring to your eBilling account at www.bt.com/youraccount?
It usually takes about 48 hours for it to be fully activated, can you let me know whether you're still having problems accessing it?

IPad 1 returns to home page within 2 seconds of trying to open certain apps

Hi, we are having trouble with our iPad 1 'dropping out' after 1 or 2 seconds when trying to access certain apps. I thought it might have had something to do with those that required access to internet as it was first noticed on Mail and Facebook as well as safari, however we cannot even access our settings page as it drops out almost immediately. It did this once before a couple of weeks ago, but came right by itself after about a half a day and playing some of the apps that did come up, but this time it has been basically useless other than for playing music and kids games since friday. Any suggestions as to what might be a fix for this or is this a sign that this iPad needs retiring? Thanks

Try restarting your iPad.
Hold the Power/Lock button down until the red slider appears, then slide it to shut down the iPad. After 5-10 seconds, press and hold the Power/Lock button down until the device powers back on again.
Once the device starts up again, try using the apps that crashed frequently before.
