Unable to load jar
We have a strange problem with caching a jar file which contains the applet. It seams that the jar is downloaded, but it isn't cached. The nasty thing about it is that the applet won't start.
In the java console we get the following message:
Last modified time and/or expiration value is not available. Jar file will not be cached.
we are using the 1.4.1_03 java plugin
After this message it seams that the plugin try's to load it again.

There is a bug filed for this

They have a workound specified in its duplicate bug.
Going to try that workaround...

To install JCo for Linux copy the appropriate distribution package into an arbitrary directory {sapjco3-install-path}. Next, change to the installation directory:

Applet unable to load JARs from URL?
Please let me preface my query with "I have not done applets ever for live business apps, only for uni and that was over a decade ago..." :)
I've been doing a lot of reading the last couple days and have been trying to modify a currently existing applet which unfortunately currently depends on libraries being installed in the ext dir on the user's PC (!). I am modifying it such that 1. it will now make a web service call and 2. it will need to include all of the good libraries that come with making web service calls. My other goal is to change the way the applet is loaded (applet tag) so that the libraries need not be pre-installed in the user's ext dir.
My trouble is, I cannot seem to persuade the applet to load the libraries that co-exist with it. I am loading the applet via a simple test harness page presently, where the HTML file resides in one directory (http://localhost/cis/dictation/test1.html) and the JARs in another (http://localhost/cis/common), but all at the same subdir level under the main web root. I know the applet is loading, as I have a test debug statement which prints out on each invocation.
Note If I load all of the JARs in the dependency hierarchy into the extensions directory, everything works swimmingly.
I have tried multiple variations on the applet tag, not completely sure of what it should look like. Please note when I load the URLs into the browser for each individual library, e.g. http://localhost/cis/common/axis.jar, the browser prompts me to download the JARs, so I know the browser can "see" them.

Then on subsequent page reloads, the java console reports NCDFE's for the newly added class WITHIN the applet jar, webmedx/client/applet/util/cdsproxy/WSAudioArchiveLocator (assuming because it requires javax.xml.rpc.Service, and cannot load it).
Any ideas/help will be very much appreciated :)

Unable to load jar file-Urgent

I am using AltaVista search engine in my project. I have uploaded the jar file related to this into Weblogic 8.1. But many times application doesn�t able to take files from mentioned jar and gives me an error message that couldn't find the class. I always need to start the weblogic again & again to start the search engine functionality. Please help me out why it doesn�t pick the jar file.

I have faced same problem most of time and resolved ot by recompileing my all the classes and new deployment descriptors. First you should make new java files for all clases(copy contents fron old java files ) and make anew package same as old and then do all the required process and re deploy it. I think because of some problem in class generation. -
Class.forname - Unable to load class if two jars with same package name
class.forname - Unable to load class if two jars contains same package name exists in classpath.
JVM is stopping search for class one it finds the package name in the jar file that is ahead in classpath,
JVM is not continuing search in the remaining jar files.
For this , I put the jar file that contained class ahead of of ther jar file containing same package name, then it worked.
Is this a JVM bug ? (JDK 1.5)I reported as bug to sun. I got auto email, looks they have not assigned any Bug ID so far.

Unable to load database connector - using JRC w/report connecting to Oracle
A simple Java program was created to test a Crystal Report using JRC. The Java program is a thick-client Swing desktop application (modified from an example of crxi_r2_migrating_rdc_to_jrc.pdf). The program failed to execute the report with the following error:
Unable to load database connector u2018com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.DriverLoader'
It might be something simple to correct the problem, but I am not able to find related answers in the documentation and from the forum.
CR version is XI R2. The Java program was compiled and run using jdk1.4.2_13. Oracle is 10.2.
Do I have to use JDBC? or the CR Oracle driver will do? What needs to be setup? If I use JDBC, what do I need to setup (I tried to following the links in the forums or other documentation, but most of the links to http://support.businessobjects.com/.... are broken - i.e. re-route to the SAP support page but not directly linked to the articles)
When the report JRCTestReport.rpt was saved with the option "Save Data With Report", it works fine. So the problem is only with Oracle database driver, the other jars are fine.
In the report JRCTestReport.rpt the database properties are:

Adogjf Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP error while patching
Hi,
I'm upgrading my version of Java from 1.3.1_19 to 1.5.0_17. I downloaded the jdk-1_5_0_17-linux-i586.bin file and unpackaged it to /u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0. It unpackaged it to a new directory jdk1.5.0_17 (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17), whereas the old version is in a directory jdk (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk).
Having done that I had to run an interoperability patch (4372996). Upon running this patch I received an error at the end:

There were no other errors.
I think the problem has to do with where my new java version is located but I'm not sure. I'm thinking that it's still looking under the old JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk) when I want it to look under the new JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17). So, should I move the contents from the new directory (jdk1.5.0_17) to the old directory (jdk) or is there a way to 'point' it to the new JAVA_TOP.
Please let me know if I'm totally off base and there's another solution. We're currently on EBS 11.5.10.2, DB 10.2.0.4 and RHEL 4 Update 5.

Unable to load persistence provider
hi,
i'm using spring context to reimplement some java methods in SOA suite.
I have a deplyed and runnable Spring MVC project, which use hibernate to connect between database and project POJO classes. i use this spring project's java methods which are used those POJO classes and DAO classes by which we access database.
Now i want to implement each methods in SOA suite . for that I define some spring contexts corresponding to each methods.
i added required jar files in project class path and added persistance.xml, orm.xml and spring project's MANIFEST.MF. after that for checking, i added main() method in ech spring context's impplementation classes to check if those methods are individual running or not. but yes, they are running in JDeveloper.
now i deploy this SOA project in weblogic enterprise manager, then test the service. its not work at all. in stacktrace i got following error/

what i guess, after deploy, projects sca.jar do not takes those dependent jars (jpa.jar, toplink.jar,toplink-essential.jar etc) which i given in classpath.

I have the CLASSPATH set to the location of DBCacheStore.class file both in cache-server.cmd and in my application startup JVM params. But still i am not able to resolve this issue. However i am still able to hit the database and get the values for the first call and on sub-sequent call, i am able to retrive the value from cache. Eclipse Plugin Creation - "Plug-in name was unable to load class " error
Hi everybody and happy new year to you all,
i got a little problem again. I have written the first lines of code of my plugin and wanted to test it (run as Eclipse Application). I got the following error-msg, when clickin either on the menu item or toolbar button:

</plugin>The javafile "InpulseStart.java" is in the "org.eclipse.tui.inpulse" package and has the first line "package org.eclipse.tui.inpulse;". The class "InpulseStart" implements "IWorkbenchWindowActionDelegate".
So the following members are implemented:
public void run(IAction proxyAction){...};
public void selectionChanged(IAction proxyAction, ISelection selection){...};
public void dispose(){...};

Unable to load database connector
Hi. I am trying to get a report running through the JRC in Crystal Reports XI. Whenever I try to run the report, it pulls up the viewer, but then gets the following message:
"Unable to load database Connector"
'com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.DriverLoader'
I was under the impression that I didn't need to set any JDBC parameters because it would pull them from the report. Is there some sort of configuration I missed?

I have got the same problem.
Java don't find the class DriverLoader in any jar.
I have found it on the CrystalDatabaseConnector.jar (an old jar) but that's makes some problems of compatibility when I use it.
I have to add CrystalQueryEngine.jar (another old version jar) to work with it and i've got an java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: Implementing class

I am deploying my application from JDeveloper remotely in Oracle 10g AS.in my application I have generated a couple of reports using Oracle Report Writer.basically i generated report JSPs.when I run my application report is not getting generated, it raises following error-
unable to dispatch to requested page: Exception:oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException: Line # 1, <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/lib/reports_tld.jar" prefix="rw" %>
