Unable to pull records from APO

Hi,
I am trying to run a full load which extracts data from APO system to BW(2.1C)system.
The datasource in the APO system was changed sometime back and then the export datasource was done. I had replicated the datasource in BW and activated the transfer rules again.
But when I try to load the infopackage, it runs for a very long time and does not extract any records. In the monitor screen, under Details tab the Extraction , Transfer Idocs & Processing sections are all "red" & shows 0 records.
However, when I checked in RSA3 in APO , the extractor is pulling records.
I have checked the system connections and Basis team have also confirmed that there is no issue with the connections between the 2 systems.
Please help me to identify the problem and how to fix it.
Would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

In your BW system follow below steps,
1.In the monitor screen menu,Environmnet>Transact RFC> In the source system
2.This will take you to your APO system,user your APO client,user id and Password and login.
3.Just run the transaction and review the date and time of the LUW and compare with ur data load time.
Contact your basis team based on this info....

    Hi ,
    Saving a library (.pll) to database would store the object inside specific tables that are to be created.
    If you are using 6i, then you should find toolbild & toolgrnt.sql files which you have to run in the order specified. The above scripts creates the necessary tables and henceforth you won't get those errors while saving.

    I am trying to use an ABAP Data flow to pull data from APO and receive error 150301. I can do a direct table pull and receive no error, but when I try to put it in an ABAP data data flow I get the issue. Any help would be great.

    I know you "closed" this, however someone else might read it so I'll add that when you use an ABAP dataflow, logic can be pushed to ECC - table joins, filters, etc.  (Which can be seen in the generated ABAP).

    The files on the DVD are MPEG 2 files and need to be converted in order to be usable in iMovie. Streamclip from Squared5 is one option although others are available. Wondershare is one as well. Just Google for mp2 converters and you'll find many.

  • Unable to fetch records from database with huge selection screen

    Hi all,
    I have 20 fields from selection screen.
    I have a z table with these 20 fields .
    Now with the values entered in the selection screen i have to fetch the records from the z table.
    All fields in the selection screen are not mandatory, the user may or may not enter the values.
    I have to fetch the records based on the values entered.
    I wrote a select with where condtion to all those 20 fields. but its not retreving the records.
    All the fields in the selection screeen are parameters.
    Could you help me on this, please. I wrote in the where conditon with field1 = value AND field 2 = value.. etc... field20 = value.
    Please guys help me out.

    I have a problem with the select query.
    as i said i have 20 fields, ranges are working for few fields.
    But i have couple of fields as descriptions. So i have to fetch the records for pattenr as well.
    Means, user can enter in the description............. like    "ab". So in the description if there is anything   with 'ab' it should fetch.
    it works with a LIKE statement with % symbols.
    but it doenst work with   ranges and patterns in same select. I mean the below is not working.
      SELECT  *
             FROM crmd_orderadm_h
             INTO table itab
             WHERE object_id IN r_obj AND
                   process_type IN r_pro AND
                   description LIKE s_des.
    r_obj, r_pro are ranges  and s_des is the pattern, ex: %ab%.              so in this case how it has to be done... could you please help me on this.. the other fields could be blank( r_obj and r_pro)..

    I have created one table and insert some records in it from SQL.
    then i create one form and create a data block and pull all the fields form the table, now when i run this form it will not show the records... why ?

  • Unable to pull data from 2 tables of a database linked to a 2nd database

    I have a Crystal V7 Report I'm upgrading to Crystal 10 or 11.  It uses the following formula that works (data is in ONE MS Access database containing all three tables):

    The upgraded application software uses TWO SQL 2005 Express databases, replacing the one Access database.  PayrollCalc is a table in database A while UnionBenefitDetail & AuthorizedWithholding are tables in database B.  The links are left outer joined from PayrollCalc table to each of the others (I've tried all the enforcement options) but the formula no longer works.  If I remark out the part of the formula from one or the other of the "extra" tables, then the one still active works great but I can't get both to work in the same subreport.  There's no error, I just get a blank returned for the formula.  I'm not familiar with using the Add Command so I haven't tried that.  Can anyone help me?

    I confirmed that the join fields are identical:
    PRCalc Table - qConNo=int (32 bit), length 4
    PRCalc Table - qID=varchar (byte), length 10
    PRCalc Table - qSeg=int (32 bit), length 4
    UnionBenefit Table - qUBID=varchar (byte), length 10
    UnionBenefit Table - qUBSeg=int (32 bit), length 4
    Both of these UnionBenefit fields are left outer joined FROM the PRCalc Table's qID & qSeg fields
    Authorized Withholding - qConNo=int (32 bit), length 4
    Authorized Withholding - qSeg=int (32 bit), length 4
    These two fields are left outer joined FROM PRCalc's qConNo & qSeg fields.
    The qDesc & qUBDesc fields that I'm trying to print in the same subreport using the formula that's not working are both varchar (bye), length 50 fields.
    I have tried various other joins unsuccessfully.  I'm convinced that the left outer join is the correct one to use since neither of the tables from Database B will always have records that match up with those in Database A (PayrollCalc's database).  So yes, it appears that the left outer join does not work properly across two databases when more than one table in the 2nd database is used.  It works fine if I just use one table from database B & do a separate subreport for the other table.

  • Sparse Data Issue from APO

    We are currently trying to extract data from APO into an external BI system.
    The problem is that we get a large amount of data through but with very sparse values. Is there a recommended way to cut down the number of records the extractor pulls through from APO?
    I am currently using the 9AMALO datasource.

    In the end, used custom function module in APO to extract the data.

  • Need assistance searching records from multiple tables - Please Help!

    Hi, I've been trying to solve this problem for several weeks now, and I have exhausted all of my knowledge and experience.  I need help, and I hope someone here can give me some direction.
    I am using VB 2008, and the CR that comes bundled with VS 2008 Pro.  My database is a SQL Server 2005 CE v3.5 (a *.sdf file).  I am connecting to the database through a dataset, and I am displaying the report in a CrystalReportViewer.
    My dataset consistes of two tables:
    1) tblCustomers which has a primary key "CustID", and contains only customer contact and personal information. 
    2) tblDateVisited which has a primary key of "VisitID", but it also has a column titled "CustID". Basically, every time a customer visits the business, details of that visit are recorded in tblDateVisited, and that record is associated with the customer by their CustID.
    Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:  I want to be able to display only Customer records when the customer has visited and that visit matches certain criteria.  Right now, I am trying to match visits from the "tblVisitDate.PlayerType" column.  If the customer has ever had a visit where they matched a particular player type, I want to see those customer records.
    I don't know what I'm doing wrong, though.  I can search a dataset if I am only querying one table and pulling records from that table.  However, whenever I try to add a second table and perform queries on that table to get records from the first table, I can't return any records. 
    If it helps, I am trying to use one CrystalReportViewer to display multiple reports (user choice) and here's how I'm loading the report into the viewer:
    Me.tblCustomersTableAdapter.Fill(Me.dsPlayerTypeReports.tblCustomers)
    Me.tblDateVisitedTableAdapter.Fill(Me.dsPlayerTypeReports.tblDateVisited)
    Me.ReportFile.SetDataSource(dsPlayerTypeReports.Tables(1))
    I am suspicious that my problem is in the Tables(1) method.  It confuses me that I can only assign one table as a datasource when I obviously need access to two tables to make this selection work. 
    Whatever the case, I'm at the end of my rope with this one.  I'm not prone to giving up, but I'm at a dead end currently. 
    Any attempt to assist me with this will be greatly appreciated, successful or not.

    No, I am connected via ADO.NET.  I don't think SQL CE can connect through ODBC (or if it can, I haven't been able to figure out how, yet).  So this isn't a stored procedure.
    When I examine the link, I can only choose an Inner Join or a Left Outer Join.  Right Outer and Full Outer are not available.  Could this be a problem with the dataset I'm using?
    Could you explain what you mean by display all of the records and then choose the selection criteria?

    We have a Generic data source and define ERDAT as Delta Field of type Calender day.after data coming to BW,we delete some records by using routine.we bring back these records from R/3 to BW.
    For Example :  01.03.2006 and 02.03.2006 records are available but 03.03.2006 to 03.28.2006 records are not available in bw. how do we bring back these records from
    R/3 to BW.
    (Delta Queue contains:-Date on which the record was created is 03.03.2006)

    Hi,
    There is no other way you can give selections on for the same, and you need to create another InfoPackage and then choose the required dates through the selections within the same.
    And you are not making any changes at the InfoPackage Level? And there is no relevancy whatsoever for the Delta Mechanism.
    You got to pull records from R/3 with the specific Dates you got to make selections in InfoPackage in BW.

    Incidently: u201CAND "A"."CREATED_DATE" > SYSDATE u2013 16u201D was used to limit the results from a huge table and u201816u2019 has no real significance other than trying to return the minimal results for the report.
    once I had the above I used this:

    Now to what I need to do; if I provided too much info I am sorry, I just was hoping to give enough.
    I need the results  for a full work week; the catch is I donu2019t need it for the previous week but for two weeks back; i.e. if I ran the report  on Monday the 19th  I want to pull records from the 5th to the 9th
    I know that this formula:
    {Command.INSTALLERCONTACTCREATEDDATE} in
      CurrentDate - DayofWeek(CurrentDate) - 5
    to CurrentDate - DayofWeek(CurrentDate) u2013 1
    will pull the prior full business week (m-f); i.e.  ran on Monday the 19th- pulls records for the 12th to 16th, no good for me.
    Furthermore, if the field is populated late Friday afternoon and field is not populated until the next week I need to capture that on the following weeks report- eventhough the first part was populated the prior week.
    So, report runs Mon. the 19th captures 5th to 9th, but  is populated the 9th and the is not populated til the 12th, 13th, or 14th then that cant show on report for week of 5th to 9th, but on the report for 12th to 16th.
    Iu2019d greatly appreciate any assistance and apologize if I made little to no sense when describing my issue.

    (where datepart("DW", <date>) returns the day of week.  It's not clear what DB you are using.)
    This assumes that the installer date is within 32 days or so of the scheduled date.  Increase the 45 (or remove the date condition altogether - but that would be very slow on a big table) if that's not the case.
    sysdate - datepart() returns the prior Saturday,
    subtracting 7 days is the end of your week period (Saturday) two weeks ago,
    subtracting 13 is the Sunday of your week period two weeks ago.
    The case statement within the max() database aggregate functions will be null, and therefore not effect the results, if the attribute name is not the one we are interested in at the moment.
    The having clause will restrict the returned records to those objects scheduled within the week of interest.  (Since the WHERE clause is using an OR, there may be records with installerContact date > 45 days ago, but the dateScheduled is not within our week of interest.  In that case, the max() in the HAVING clause will be null.)
    And it's all done with one database query!

    All,
    We are making progress very slowly using the PeopleSoft template for the Web Service Connector MA.  Has anyone had any luck pulling records from PeopleSoft into the C?  We used the out the box variable in the PS Web Configuration tool and and value
    but we are not getting anything back.  We have been through a number of iterations but no luck.  The original value is:
    Attr: personIDSearchPattern
    value: "include [A-Z0-9 !@#$%^&*()-_+={}[]:;""'<>,.?/\|~`]"
    If anyone has gotten this to work I would appreciate some insight since the documentation is somewhat thin.

    Thanks again.  We ended up connecting directly to a PS SQL view to get the data but will ping you if there is a future need.  One thing that would be most helpful is some beefed up documentation around the web service MA and PeopleSoft.

    I'm looking to pull messages from a JMS queue and have tried setting up a Business Service that doesn't send a request but only expects a response. Doesn't seem to work, I'm unable to pull messages from a queue (I don't want to set up a Proxy Service that listens) - is there a standard way of doing this in ALSB?

    This is not a supported feature. The best solution is to write a java callout to pull the message from the queue.
