Unable to run "run_my_owb_stuff.sql"

Hi,
I followed the instructions in the script, but when I run this one, I always get : (ORA-20001, Task not found - Please check the Task Type, Name and Location are correct.).
That's what I tried :
BEGIN
dbms_output.put_line('result '

Any idea what could be wrong?

In the Runtime Audit Browser it shows it's execution mode, and most importantly if there is an error. If there is one the default operating mode will cause it to fail over to row based.
You can also, re-run your mapping. In the execution dialog you will see a number of parameters, one will show Set based failover to Row based (or someting similar). Switch that to SET BASED ONLY. Then execute.

I have created some answers/reports and dashboards which are working fine.
However when I try to run an SQL statement on "Create Direct Request" under "Direct Database Request" I get the following error:

I am working as an admin user who has the rights to create direct sql query.

PL/SQL Cartridge server refuses to come up.

Remote access to the database using connect string
The Linux m/c and NT m/c have recommended system requirements and domain registering. I could invoke the procedure from SQL plus and view the HTML contents using owa_util.showpage. Also, I could install PL/SQL Web Toolkit using the same DAD. But Cartridge server just refuses to come up. If anyone has a solution for this, it would be a great help!!

We had the same problem with the PL/SQL cartridge (OWS-04764 ...). We solved our problem with a new kernel. Its important that you have a kernel with symmetric multi-processing support (SMP) enabled, independent if you have a one or two processor machine.

Unable to Integrate to BC4J Components & Running PL/SQL Procedure

I recently shifted to bc4j technology.
i am having problem in calling one application module from
another application module, using same transaction context.
Another problem is running pl/sql procedure from doDML method of
entity object, i also want to pass user's input to these
procedures.

If you want to call one application module from another, you
should nest them in a root application module. The documentation
describes how to nest application modules; basically you select
the Application Modules tab in the application module editor.
Nested application modules all share the transaction context of
the root app module, so when you call one app module from another
you're automatically using the same transaction context.
The Oracle9i JDeveloper Release Candidate (which you can download
from OTN) contains a sample that calls a PL/SQL stored procedure
from BC4J. It's in <jdev_home>\BC4J\samples\StoredProc.

I am trying to run awrrpt.sql.While running the query in sql*plus it ask me for file format then no of days
& then begin & end snapshot Id & then eventually the sql*plus session get closed . I am unable find
why sql*plus session getting closed automatically.Please tell me How to run awrrpt.sql to generate AWR reports. Please guide.

Unable to run Store Procedure based deski report in Infoview

Hi All,
I have a Deski report which is created using Store Procedure. I am able to run report in Full Client Deski. But I am unable to run / schedule same report thorough infoview.
More details about report
- Report uses 3 store procedures. When I ran report in infovew I get error message as "SP2 Dataprovider did not refresh properly". -- SP2 is Dataprovider name.
- Same report I am able to run in Dev environment. After migration to Model, report fails to run in model infoview.
- I am able to Run report only for 1st. When I refresh and run with same parameter report shows error.
Any input will be great help.

Could you please test the following solutions to resolve the issue.

Test the issue by inserting the following parameter in .SBO file.
<Parameter Name="Force SQLExecute">Always</Parameter> .
Solution2
Just put SET NOCOUNT OFF in the end of the stored procedure SQL.
If the above doesnu2019t works then please try the following solution.
Solution3
Make the new connection from the scratch using ODBC connection and test the issue.

Error Messages in NW Log: Unable to run query / Enter table name

Hi all,
I am always wondering about the tons of error messages in the NW log.
Today I opened the workbench and a query (SQL-Query, Mode Fixed Query) and viewed the Fixed Query Details. Then I looked into the NW Log (SAP Logs), and it contained the following errors from my query opening inside the workbench:

Do you get similar errors when running a ColumnList query without providing a Table name (with the Group parameter)?

Just a guess, but perhaps the WB is trying to fill the lower left listbox of available columns without the benefit of a table name being selected from the upper left listbox of available tables.

SQL Procedure working when run manually, not running from sql server agent

I have a procedure that runs fine using the execute command in SSMS, however putting the same command in a job gives the following error.

The code takes a very long XML string in UTF-8 encoding and puts it into a single nvarchar(max) cell. Then puts this string into a XML cell in a different table, allowing me to query the individual parts of the XML code using the nodes function. I cannot put
the data directly into a nvarchar cell due to encoding differences.
I can't reproduce the string here as it is very very long.
I'm just looking for ideas really as to where it might be going wrong.
Here is what I know so far:
The procedure runs without issue when executed manually
I have checked permission issues, and that doesn't seem to be the problem. The agent runs under my own account and I am a sysadmin on the database
I split the procedure into seperate parts to locate exactly where the problem is occuring. Once again the seperate procedures run fine when executed manually but an error occurs when run through SQL Server agent.
When the query is run seperately through SQL Server Agent it gives a slightly different error. This leads me to believe it is an encoding issue. However I am getting the XML from a webpage and I can't change the encoding on the webpage.

After installation when I tried accessing apex in browser, I am getting following error message

This statement is returning INVALID status

The log is showing errors

Can someone here guide me how to resolve this? Shall I reinstalled APEX 4 or rollback to 3.2 or do I need to run any other file.

I have the same problem too.

The problem is by the oracle version. (al least in my case)
apex 4.0 needs 10.2.0.3 and i have 10.2.0.1
I'm going to deinstall, upgrade 10g and reinstall...

Hi Ravi,
Per my knowledge, there is no Analysis Service in SharePoint.
After running the SQL 2014 setup to install PowerPivot for SharePoint, you need to open the PowerPivot for SharePoint 2013 Configuration tool in Central Admin Server and configure PowerPivot for SharePoint.
After that, you will see new Service Application called "Default PowerPivot Service Application" in Central Administration.
If you have other WFE servers, then you need to install the PowerPivot Add-In on all the other servers in the SharePoint farm.

AWM 11.1.0.7B question running global_11g_create_cubes.sql script

Hi everybody,
I installed AWM 11.1.0.7B and Oracle Database 11g software, version 11.1.0.6.0.
I am trying to install Sample Schemas & Code.
I got an error running global_11g_create_cubes.sql script that I downloaded from the http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bi/olap/olap_downloads.html#software
Here is an error:

I suspect the problem is that you are using an 11.1.0.7 client to access an 11.1.0.6 server. This configuration should work, but there was a bug at some point with new clients and old servers. In any case you would be advised to upgrade your server to either 11.1.0.7 or, at least, the latest 11.1.0.6 OLAP patch.

Error while logging in `ERR-10740 Unable to run custom post-auth process.'

I get the following error only with specific users; some can login, some can't. There is consistency is who receives this error.
Error ERR-10740 Unable to run custom post-auth process.
the text of the "Post-Authentication Process" field in the my authentication schemes is as follows:

bare_auth.session_init;
end;
The bare_auth package has no errors:
select object_type, status

where object_name = 'BARE_AUTH';

PACKAGE BODY VALID

The error message isn't very helpful and I can't see why Apex can't run it. Why is Apex unable to run the custom post-auth process?

Thats just the message when you get when there is an unhandled exception in your post-auth process. Apex wraps your code with its own and if you hit any error it just raises that error to the screen. If you were to go into your post-auth and do:
declare
v number;
begin
v:= 1/0;
end;You can see that it raises the same error message to the screen instead of an excepted pl/sql exception about dividing by zero.

Running Demobld.sql on client work station

Running Demobld.sql on server works OK (logged on as SYSTEM) when I execute:
SQL>@F:\Oracle\Oracle8i\demobld.sql
but when logged on on a different workstation (i.e. on client machine) and execute the same command I get:
SP2-0310: unable to open file "e:\Oracle\Oracle8i\Demo\demobld.sql"
Any help here? Does it have to be installed on each client machine or there is a way to point to server path in SQL?

Hi,
you get the icons for peoplesoft in "All Prgrams" only if you choose to do so while running the client installation CD on your machine. If you dont do it, there will be no icons in the start menu.
Looks like you are configuring the client on a shared drive and expect it to show up on ur local machine's start menu. This is not possible. Configuring workstation does not generate icons under start menu.
