Underline Problem in template of a table in smartforms

Hi friends,
I have a requirement wherein i need to draw two line one above text as shown below :
Total
Invoice Amount
Amount Eligible for cash
I have copied std smart form LB_BIL_INVOICE
template INFO_ENDSUMMEN in table TABLEITEM has texts .
Now when I am using _ option in template tab for Total,
I
nvoice Amount
Amount Eligible for cash get invisible in output(though it was shown before).
Can you guys help me out.I just need
Total
Invoice Amount
Amount Eligible for cash
to be displayed in output.

Its getting disappered because the height of the cell is smaller than your text. so better increase your cell height.That is drag the lower line of your cell little down or increase its height by 1mm or 2 in details of template .
The simplest way which i feel is create a template with exact height width and click on upper frame and lower frame button other than selecting pattern there.
Try this it wil surely work

Problem with printing footer of table in Smartforms

Hi Gurus!
I have created a table in a window in Smartforms. I need to put in the totals at the footer of the table, displaying these values only at the end of the page. The problem I have encountered is that the footer prints immediately after the line of the main area. The form i'm printing right now is pre-printed, so I need to write the footer at a specified area.
Let's say my table accommodates 20 lines. The footer must be written immediately after the 20th line. If, on the last page, there are only 10 lines, the footer must still print on the area after the 20th line.
Really need your help guys, i'm hoping for a quick response. Thanks!

I need to put both the main area and the footer in the same loop because there is a field where, when changed, it must page-break. The fields/values in the main area and the footer are all part of a sub-table that depends on a field of a bigger table.
my smartform looks like this:
Loop at header table.
   if order number changes, start new page.
   loop at table x.
       main area - print items of the table where order_number = header_table-order_number.
       footer - print totals of the table where order_number = header_table-order_number.
Endloop
So you see, i need to place the footer inside the loop also. It's the only way I know to work around this.

How to insert a template in a table of smartform

In printing invoice, iam displaying invoice item details with in body of table, it has displaying some records but there was some gap between the records and border line of body. i want to place a template in a table but there was no change in output.

The border line that is displayed now is that of the MAIN window boundary. if you want to print a line immedietly after the line items end, then you need to use a suitable frame which is available in Table tab of table that you have created. These buttons are just below the Table tab described as SELECT PATTERN, OUTER FRAME etc.

Table Underline problem

I am working with a table & I want some items underlined & others not. As soon as I underlined the text in one cell, all text in cells below are automatically underlined! I have hi-lighted & removed the underline using Cmd-U or Format/Font/Underline & it removes the underline as I wish-- until I leave that cell. Then the underline reappears.
Please advise, thanks.

You gave me a clue. I recreated your test on a new pages column & I could not recreate the underline problem either.
On my problem Table, I didn’t intentionally select the entire column or portion of the column. But the bottom half of my “C” column was staying underlined. So, I deliberately selected the portion of the column that was incorrectly underlined & I used Cmd-U & it Worked! It is not underlined & stays not underlined.

How to restrict height of table in smartform without using template

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with table in smartform.I have 5 records in my table.If i print all 5 then table is fine.But if i get only one record in table then size of the table reduces to one row.Is there any way that i can keep my table height same as for 5 records,though i pass 1 record.I cannot use template here,because page-breaks are used in the form .

Hi,
As far my knowledge goes, If there is one record then table lines will take the height of only one row. You cannot Restrict it to take height of 5 rows.
A temporary solution could be to add empty records in your internal table so that the table uses all the 5 rows in the table while printing in the smartform. Since they are empty records your smartform will not display any data but will only use the height.
If you have 1 record add 4 empty records, Similarly if you have 2 records add 3 empty records...
This way all time the table will take the height of 5 rows.
As i said earlier this could be a temporary solution.

Font problem in template

Hi All,
in my template i have table of contents in the following format
heading1....................................................1
heading2...................................................1
heading3..................................................1
I need the the whole template font to be as verdana,8 . But when i change the font of table of contents to verdana 8(which was previously in times new roman). I got the pdf output as follows
heading1.....................................................1..
headning2...................................................1..
heading3....................................................1..
I couldn't figured out what the error was.

This is still an issue with 11.1.1.6. I have a dozen or so simple form letters, but it is frustrating me having to fiddle with them to get them stop change the font size.
Seems to be a problem if I change indentation, or to or from having bullets.

It is giving error:

It is not even considering folderId while inserting into db.
However it works fine when I add folderId variable in Files entity and changed insertFile like this:

I've also tested this using eclipselink and got same error.
Please provide some pointers.

What version of EclipseLink did you try? This looks like bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=280436 that was fixed in EclipseLink 2.0, so please try a later version.
You can also try working around the problem by making both fields writable through the reference mapping.

Problem regarding the creation of Table using CSS.

Here I have a Problem regarding the creation of Table using CSS.
In My Application i have a table with multiple rows(Rows are Dynamically added to the table).First i am setting the table with the following properties:
width:900px;
height : auto,
Overflow : visible,
Max-height: : 200px.
If I use above properties,I'm getting a table with 5 or 6 rows(height upto 200px).After that i am getting the Vertical ScrollBar.
The problem is when a table has many columns, Vertical and Horizontal Scrolls are coming at the time of setting the table. The table height is not Increasing dynamically.
How can i use "height" property in CSS? (I want the table height to be increased when the columns are more.)

If so select the option convert to new region (opt-comm-R or selecting it by right clicking). Check your audio bin to make sure. Whats the "merge" function? Are u refering to the glue tool?

Problems with Template JDeveloper 11g

Hi,
it means that your template has an ADF binding (PageDef) reference. When you create a page in the JSF page dialog and assign the template then the binding reference is created for you. You should see a bulb in the page source editor. Press it an it should create the missing binding for you

Problems with templates overtaking first line?

Has anyone else had a problem with templates taking over the first line of code in any page that a template is applied to?
I created a template that starts like this:

but when that particular template is applied to a page it writes this to the code:

I don't particularly mind this, but in IE8, because the comment is the first line - and NOT the doctype, it forces the browser into another doctype and breaks the page.
Has anyone experienced this?
I've tried re-creating my templates, but I'm not finding the reason why it decides to place that comment in the beginning sometimes..

The problem may be that the comment is on the same line as the doctype, try putting a blank line between the template comment and the doctype statement
e.g.
..... IsLocked="false" -->
<!DOCTYPE HTML .....
The comment is place in the line before the doctype to enable editing of server side code, (php, asp, .net, etc.).

Problems with retrieving data from tables with 240 and more records

Hi,
I've been connecting to Oracle 11g Server (not sure exact version) using Oracle 10.1.0 Client and O10 Oracle 10g driver. Everything was ok.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0 Client and I started to have problems with retrieving data from tables.
First I used the same connection string, driver and so on (O10 Oracle 10g) then I tried ORA Oracle but with no luck. The result is like this:
I'm able to connect to database. I'm able to retrieve data but from small tables (e.g. with 110 records it works perfectly using both O10 and ORA drivers). When I try to retrieve data from tables with like 240 and more records retrieval simply hangs (nothing happens at all - no error, no timeout). Application seems to hang forever.
I'm using Powerbuilder to connect to Database (either PB10.5 using O10 driver or PB12 using ORA driver). I used DBTrace, so I see that query hangs on the first FETCH.
So for the retrievals that hang I have something like:

Problems started when I installed 11.2.0 Client. Even if I want to use 10.0.1 Client, the same problem occurs. So I guess something from 11.2.0 overrides 10.0.1 settings.

Bug 6749491 has been filed for this problem. It will be visible at [http://bugs.sun.com] in a day or two.
If you have a service contract with Sun, you can ask to have this bug's priority raised, and get a pre-release version of a compiler patch that fixes the problem.
Otherwise, you can check for new patches from time to time at
[http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/patches/]
and see whether this bug is listed as fixed.

Problem in Reports(ralated to table BSEG)

Dear ALL,
when programs(standard and Z programs) Retriving the data from BSEG, i am getting timeout error.
I have one more problem that is, in BSEG table we have around 25 Million records (around 100+ companies implemented fico), so while accessing this table most of the time we are getting timeout error. From the last 6 years we did not do data archiving.
If one or more programs accessing this table then it will affect the performance. So what do you propose is Data Archiving is the solution?

Archiving may compact your table size, but those data may not be available to view.
I prefer you to execute the report in background. Ckeck in SM37, if the job is finished, it ready for executing.

CS4 Problem with Template Updates

There's another thread on this subject, but I couldn't see any final resolution.
I'm having a problem with Template Update.
I have all pages in site linked to a single template. I built the template 1st and then created each page from the template using normal method.
When I now make a change to the template, I save the template and it automatically saves and opens a box to select pages to update. I do NOT have to use the Updates feature on the top menus, but I have done that too just to try different things. When I select all the files, it updates them all, most of them correctly. BUT, one or several of them will have a NEW Main Content (and sometimes header) superimposed on top of the existing Main Content (or header). It shifts the page downward and to the right. By the way, down below the screwed section, the content is all still there and the original template is still intact under the screwed up area.
To fix it, I create a new page from the template and start over inserting the Main Content, which is nothing special, just formatted text. Next time I update, that same page will always get screwed up again, but sometimes 1 or more different pages will also get screwed up in the same way, always with a new nested Main Content area (on top of the original or sometimes pushed down half a page).
I thought it might be because of a nested Main Content in that section of the template, but I see none, or any other abnormal html. It does not do this to all 20-30 pages, just one every time and one or more random ones. I see nothing in html different from one page to the next.
Don't know how to attach documents to this, but I have the template and two of the screwed up pages to send.

The template which created the problem with the pages below is at /support/TEMPLATE index.dwt
The page that consistently fails is called poatool.html - the bad one is at /support/BAD poatool.html
A 2nd page that failed on that UPDATE is there also - /support/BAD bibliography.html
The currently working copy of the page that fails everytime is /articles/poatool.html.
