Bei up date mein itunes 10.3.1.55 auf 10.5 kommt ein fehler meldung am ende der Installation. so das es bricht ab. Was tun?

Can't Up Date I tunes - Missing File

Tried to Update to New ITunes version and got Windows Error 7. Said file MSVCR80.dll is missing and to try & reinstall to fix it. Tried that, didn't work.
Also said Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priviliges to start devices???

Do the following:
Uninstall from Windows the following five programs: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support. You do this from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Download the latest version of iTunes from Apple and note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator, just Right click iTunes installer and Run as Administrator.
Note : If you are unable to Remove Apple Mobile Device Support you can skip that.

Trying to put my old i tunes library on new computer - says cannot locate files

I have just installed i tunes onto my new computer, I followed the steps on line to transfer my old i tunes library onto my new computer (it was backed up on external hard drive). Now all the songs are showing, but when I click on them it brings up an exclamation mark and says it cannot locate the file.
Can someone please help me - I am a complete novice when it comes to technology.

I have managed to find a previous library on another external hard drive and managed to add folders to i tunes. It hasn't put all of the songs I had on previously on there, but it is all of the ones that I no longer have the cds for now. All of the other songs I have got cd's for so can just redo them.
I am assuming now that all the songs are back in i tunes this will be my most up to date i tunes library now. Once I have got my additional songs on would you recommend backing up the new library to an external drive again.
Thanks for your help, I have never had this problem before, it seems that whenever there is a new version of i tunes more problems arise!

(The only downfall to this backing-up process is that I haven't found an easy way to back-up the comments attached to each photo. Any advice on this? Part of the "horror" to losing one's photos is also losing the comments added to them over the years.)
Back to the install... I installed iLife 08 and it installed correctly. I checked to see what version of the applications I have in the dock on my desktop - I figured it would just import existing data (photos, tunes, etc.) into the newer version and replace it in the dock - +it only did this for iDVD+, of course it wasn't that easy for the others.
I can't find the newer version of iPhoto. My iPhoto in the dock still says version 2. iTunes in my dock is version 7 (7.4.2). iMovie is version 3 (3.0.3). But the new Garageband is there in the dock. And of course, iDVD is the newer version '08.
I am most concerned with iPhoto and making sure all the photos AND their comments import correctly into the newer iPhoto 08. I am nervous about this so I want to make sure I do the process correctly.
I also want to make sure my iTunes information imports correctly to the newer version as well.

If you backed up the iPhoto Library Folder then you got everything - photos, albums, comments etc

The Dock is not important. Look in your Applications Folder for iPhoto 08. That's where it should be. The Dock is just a shortcut to that. What version is in your Apps folder?
To upgrade a Library from v2 to iPhoto 08 all you do is open the Library with the newer version.

Verify you have a 2G and not a 1G. The 1G does not have volume buttons one the upper left edge and does not have an internal speaker

Something i would like to find in future adibe products:
****We already have adobe products divided into some basic catagories like creative suite design premium, web premium, acrobat family... and so on.
For those familiar with adobe products, its fine, but new users are often confused on which product to use for what.
For example, I was trying to create a website and I searched google for some help... even in Adobe forums and i came up with suggestions saying that I could use FC, FB, Flash Pro, Dreamweaver and so on...
So I tried refining my search I looked for help on creating a flash animated website. Again I came up with FC, FB, Flash pro...
So, as a nubie, I couldnt decide what to do...
Same goes for illustrator, photoshop wt. Atleast, photoshop is a product whose name seems to make most sense and does exactly what its name describes...U can edit photos/images in photoshop.
So basically, I would like to see a common main window for related programs....
say, if one is planning to do some flash, all u need to open is one prog for example, flash pro.... and inside it, u can do a multilevel tabbed windows, with each tab being able to open any flash project among FC, FB or flash Pro types and each such project tab sporting a next level of tabs for documents and elements.... ofcourse FC is for codeless animation where as FB for data integration while Flash pro for more advanced animation in AS. But doesnt a general flash project most often make use of all these aspects to some or the other extent? So, I feel it would be good to have a single program which integrates all these together.
It is understandable that as FC, FB and pro has diff functions, their UI differs...but I found lots and lots of common tools, functions and stuff between FC, FB and pro, just that they are differently arranged or in different places, which again makes things difficult. So, having a single window interface with most of the 'COMMON' tools and stuff layout to be whereever the user arranges it in the main app, and only changing the specific-to-the-typ-of-work tools according to what the user is trying to do would be , i think, a great idea.
Rather thn having to save a project i did in FC, then starting up FB and importing the saved project, working on it and then saving it, then starting up flash pro and importing this FB and so in, it would be better to work on a project in the same app. Once you finish UI, you dont need to do any import/export. Rather, just directly from some easily accessable menu click code view, and you are working on the same project, but now from a coding perspective...and you feel like doin some data related stuff in your project, you can directly switch over to the data view. And, such a merging should allow smooth transition between these view at any point of time in any order to and fro without having to do any save/import/export or such.
This would allow a greater flexibility of work approach. If some one prefers to do the whole UI first, then do the data stuff and finally the fine tuning, this setup allows it. and if someone prefers to do the project element by element, ie, build one element ui->data->fine tune, then next element ui->data->fine tuning and combine them finally, then do some final finishing touches in data->UI->fine tuning order, still, this method allows it.....Order doesnt matter.
Similarly, I think photoshop and illustrator could be integrated (and maybe fireworks?) into one app. let the main interface be the same, but according to the type of project u choose, the specific-toolset would change per tab, while the common ones would remain in the same place...for example, i make something in AI but finally realise that i need to do some adjustments to it in photoshop perspe4ctive, rather than having to start up the photoshop (as a seperate app,) i just switch the view and directly work on the project. See?
And So on... AND, let such unified apps have a common file format, rather than having to import/export in seperate file formats for each particular app... ofcourse, really specific projects should be allowed to be saved into specific formats.... for examle, when building a flash web, it would be best if i could save work from FC or FB or Flash pro view into the same single file (suppose example.fla) which i could open in FC, FB or flash pro view whenever needed without having to do any import, extract or make a separate copy according to the view in which i open it....
This unifying may lead to performance issues as there arises the need to load lots of common stuff among apps, one could say. Well, in that case, there has to be some sort of check done so that only the most commonly used stuff gets loaded and others are loaded/unloaded as need arises...
Similar to say, visual studio. The app is same and the interface is same, yet u can do C++, C#, vb as well as F# projects, both web based as well as desktop app in the same IDE... and u could mingle stuff from different things into one another too, i think....
****another plus would be a line by line code execution and breakpoints which are easy to use. Helps debugging.
****another idea would be automatically converting an image to 3d. there are various (hardware?) methods used by various 3d panel developers to convert native 2d images/videos into a 3d type something so that users can see the stuff in 3d perspective. ofcourse, here, the image is not truely 3d, but just made to have the same effect. This would be a great supplement and added point to making true 3d figures/images in adobe products.
for example, if i had a picture/image which i want to convert to 3d. remaking the whole picture element by elemnt into a true 3d one is a lot of work. rather, it would be easier to let the computer make the proper guess on how and what to transform in the image to give it a 3d perspective and then make those adjustments... and then maybe let the user do a 'fine tuning' according to his/her needs....
****let us have more tools. now there are a lot of tools available that are available in flash as well as css, ajax, jquery and so on. for example, accordions,
carousel views, multilevel menus, tabbed navigations, image gallery, lightbox, video gallery with live thumbnails, audio player for websites, video player for websites, page flips,etc. as well as common tools for desktop apps also, like simple widgets, calender, clocks, datetime chooser, searchboxes, docks, file browse dialogues etc. It would be nice if such common tools could be provided for a WYSIWYG drag&drop interface, with the ability to customize the tools if the user wishes to do so...

Cannot restore get error 14 message

Hi, can anybody help I have an iPod 4G locked in recovery mode, I have tried to restore but get error message 14 , I have up to date i tunes ?

I pod touch not recognized in itunes

So I plug my ipod touch into the computer, with up to date i tunes and it is not recognized.. also the charging symbol that typically appears in the battery symbol in the top right part of the screen doesnt appear even when it is charging.. I can charge it through the computer or the ac adaptor. I have another identical I touch that I can plug into the computer and i tunes detects it as normal.. Any Suggestions?

I'm trying to convince our systems administrator about the need for us to use Oracle Grid Infrastructure with our 11gR2 database installation. I find that I'm not really sure what the main advantages are, could you help please?
- What is the main advantage of Oracle Grid Infrastructure, what is it that will make me use it as opposed to conventional method of storage?
Any documentation recommendation would help please. I have been on the 11gR2 course and I have Oracle documentation but I am unable to see (or maybe it is lack of understanding) what is the main thing that will make us use it over an installation that uses file system storage.

I actually meant to copy and paste the benefits of using ASM out of it which answers the question OP had of using GRID for storage, (I had actually typed "see this bit") and was using the link as the reference, nont sure why I didnt, I mustnt have pasted properly into the post before posting. GRID as we know offers the asm usage which is the storage part of it. I have that link in my notes for reference when looking for the arguments to use ASM. From that link

Installation of NI5660

In May'05 We have bought the NI5660 but I am not sure if the driver-cds are up to date.
The kit included two cds:
RF Signal Analyzer 1.1 (January 2002)
Spectral Measuremnt Toolset 1.1 (November 2001)
I downloaded several Demo-Vis for the RFSA, but they don't run in LabView7.1 because they are missing several SubVis (NI5660...vi).
After that, I have downloaded and installed the NI-RFSA1.5 from the support page. But the installed NI5660-VIs in the instr.lib are broken.
Seems, that the Modulation Toolset is missing.
The other drivers seems up to date: NI-Tuner 1.5, NI-Scope 2.8
The digitizer and the downconverter were recognized in the MAX.
Where can I get the actual Toolsets?

Ipod touch g2 - backup freezes but sync works

I bought a new g2 touch, I have several screens filled (4/5) so it'd be long to list all of them. It was restored a few days ago for unrelated, so I'd rather not do this right away.. But I've rebooted/reset everything and tried another cable/port to make sure. When I sync it goes pretty slow but when it goes to the backup stage or "processing backup" - pre-screen it freezes completely. I can cancell it and sync later without backup but obviously I want a backup.
I've removed all backup data in itunes and tried again but nada.. I understand some apps like facebook would cause it to go slow but this is 10-15mins and no progress. I've also deleted sync data (not sure if good idea. but already done).
I can return it within next 5-6 days or try restore but I wanna make sure I've exausted all my options first. I'd really appreciate some ideas asap

long story short. I guess my problem is solved... But ****, it takes too long to sync what amounts to maybee 200mb of actual data (cause tunes/movies/podcasts aren't synced automatically). pain in the butt to be honest, I wish this was a faster process even after you start actually using programs

You can find the backup files and then copy them to a safe place if you are worrying about this.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.

Since you say you cant see the back up in iTunes you should be able to see it when following the last step where it says for iTunes 10.7 or earlier. Dont worry as this step also works for iTunes 11.
