Update Record, please create a Recordset

I created a form, I created a Recordset, used the form to
fetch a single record, display the contents of the record using
Bindings off the Recordset, modify some fields, and now I wish to
update the record.
When I try to apply the update record behavior, I get told to
Create a Recordset. Yet I already have one!
What secret am I missing?

i have now worked around it but now when i press the update
button it dosn't go to the opperate page i get a HTTP 500 error and
i tdoesn't update the table

Have you already made the binding? - it's not obvious from
your posting - but you should have a form with the initial data you
want to update bound to it before you can update.
I won't bang on about this because maybe you did it already.

Recordset - updating 2 tables with 1 recordset using application object update record

I have a recordset that uses a field from 2 different tables
with a select statement where clause that joins a userid. I can
display the field’s data just fine. Now I want to use the
Application object “update record” so I can modify
either of the fields. The problem is the Application object
“update record” only allows you to update one table.
How does Dreamweaver mx 2004 allow me to update 2 tables with one
recordset and 1 submit button? Currently using php.
Example of where:
Where member.userid = member_detail.userid
I tried creating the one form with the field from the first
table and that works just fine. I added the other field from the
other table into the form but ofcourse there isn’t any code
that will update the second table so it won’t work.
My application requires me to update alot of fields between 2
tables at the same time.
Does anyone know a way using Dreamweaver mx 2004 to do this?
I don’t have much php experience.

Not even CS3 has this built in, you will either have to code
it yourself
or buy the extension you have found. Dreamweaver gives you
basic
features to help you develop applications, but if you want to
do
anything really clever you have to do it yourself.
One thing to consider is maybe creating an SQL view that is
can be
updated. I am pretty sure it exists, then you use the view
instead of
the table in the update behaviour. I have never done it
myself, but I am
sure it can be done.

Hi Gurus,
I was getting error message that missing MWST condition in Order, then I investigated and created missing condition record in VK11. Now I would like to update the Sales order and tried update tab on condition but invain.
Initially the document was created on 17.11.2008 and today condition record was created 18.11.2008.
Kindly help me in resolving this.

While creating Condition Record "MWST" in VK11/ 12;
What were the Dates maintained in Fields:
1. Valid From (try with back-date maintenance)
2. Valid To (Maintain as 31.12.9999)
Once done, try to Update with "G - Copy pricing elements unchanged and redetermine taxes", in Sales Order.

Common on jailbroken iPhones, not so on non-jailbroken iPhones. Thus, if your phone is not jailbroken, restoring from backup will hopefully fix the issue.

Mapping problem with compressed key update record

About a week ago replicat abened with "Error in mapping" error. I found in discard file some record looking like:

Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
Could you please advise why does it happen?

It is running at 5 pm , but run 3 times, for that records has updated 3 time

After Creating a RecordSet using Wizard, Unable to Create RecordSet Paging - Error Occurs

I created a record set using the wizard and it tested just fine using the test button. So my next step was to create the "RecordSet Paging" "Move to First Record", whe I select this I get the error "Before using this Server Behavior, please create a record set"
The record set is there, it is even checked off in the binding list as being there, yet I can not do anything, I even went in and deleted it and tried again with the same result, this is getting very annoying and is causing me a lot of extra work.
Is this a BUG!!!
I have seen this issue several times now.

Update records using Pl/Sql procedure

I have wriitten a stored procedure to update the Organisation_Name in a table based on the Full_Org_Nm of an another table.
Though the procodure got executed sucessfully but it is not updating the records.
I even tried executing the procedure by writing Execute <Procedure name>,the database got hanged.

How to create a recordset to extract images stored in a directory to preview in browser

I managed to create the upload scripts to upload images and store them in a directory while storing the path in a MySql database but here's now another problem creating a recordset to view the images on a browser. I tried creating one but when you preview the page on a browser, it's like it cant access the images. I would also want to make scripts to automatically resize the images to my desired size upon preview on the browser and also make photo thumbnails. Can somebody please advise me on this?

To Get MySql recordset in dreamweaver.
1. Dreamweaver
2. File>new>html>create>
3. File>save>untitle-1.php (make sure to use a php externsion)
4.Database Panel(Window>Database)
5.Click Application Tab
6.Click Plus sign.
7.click Recordset(query)
8.Name it anything
9.Define your connection
10.Go down to database items
11. Click Tables
12. Click the appropriate table
13. click test
14.click ok
To pull image from MySqlDataBase
1Place cursor on page where you want the image.
2 insert>Image
3Select Image Source box appears.
4Click select file form: Data Source(vs File System)
5 Your recordset will display
6 Select the record.
7 Click ok

CS5 Update Record behaior deletes the record

I am having an issue that I just cant seem to understand or resolve.
I am using the CS5 Update Record Server Bahavior to update the user table for a website, but instead if updating the record, it deletes the entire record.
I look at the SQL and it is definately an Update, so I dont see how it deleting the entire record.
What I did:
Passed in record ID through querystring to get the filtered recordset
Created update form for dynamic data (the corrent data is filling form from recoredset)
Created hidden field to hold ID
Clicked the Update Record Server Behavior and matched form variables to appropriate DB fields
Set it to go to page to list all users
Saved page
Run on local server (php/MySQL)
When I edit the user data in the update form and click submit, the record is deleted.
* I checked the MySQL DB and the entire recored has been deleted
Anyone have a clue on why this is happening?

Update Record Form Wizard Not Working

This is my first attempt at creating dynamic pages via asp and microsoft access. However I think I've done pretty well for my first go around. Any help would be so greatly appreciated as I've only got 5 hours of sleep in the last 2 days.
I'll try to explain what I did and what's happening. For anyone that may be interested in helping me out, here are the test account login credentials:
username: username
password: password
My property update will not post to the database. Upon clicking update record I get a 500 Internal Server Error. To see an example of whats happening login by going to http://www.rentalpaypro.com/members/index.asp.
Then click on the link "Update Monthly Rent and Delete Properties", click on a Property ID and then click update record.
This is where the error appears and I can not for the life of me figure out what I've done wrong. I'M BEGGING, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT?

Hi Ken,
when looking at the source code of propertyupdate.asp I see that the whole form has been placed outside the document´s body, more precisely preceeding the DOCTYPE declaration.
No clue if this causes your issue, but fixing this is certainly worthwile anyway :-)
However, I also noticed that it´s a manually created form and not done with ADDT, and it´s been assembled using Dreamweaver´s native server behaviours (evidence: the MM_update and MM_recordId hidden fields) -- that said, I think you´d better ask this question in the regular DW application development forums.
