Updating multiple member properties

Hi,
I am trying to update the account type property for multiple members by importing a modified ads file but i receive this warning after i deploy the application
The 'PropertyArray' section contains a duplicate entry; the subsequent input line 'Alias|default|Cost of Removal Clearing.' will not be processed.
using EPM version 11.1.1.3

Go to the Row Properties, and in the Visibility tab, you have "Show or hide based on an expression". You can use this to write an expression that resolves to true if the row should be hidden, false otherwise.
Additionally, in the Matrix properties you should take a look at the filters section, perhaps you can achieve what you wish to achieve through there by removing the unnecessary rows instead of just hiding them.
It's only so much I can help you with the limited information. If you require further help, please provide us with more information such as what data are you displaying, what's the criteria to hiding rows, etc...

Multiple binary properties in a asset

Hi,
I have created an asset type in BEA content repository which as multiple
binary properties, how can I use bulkloader to load data into this
asset?(see example below)
I am using BEA WLP 8.1 SP4 on Windows and PB as DB
Asset Type: myArticle
Asset Properties:
1. id (string, single unrestricted)
2. absbody(binary)
3. detbody(binary, isPrimary set true)
I have content for this as
id:100
abs100.txt (contains absbody data)
det100.txt (contains detbody data)
I want to load this data into a single myArticle type content with id as
100.
I am able to load either absbody or detbody but not both. Please let me know
if there is a way to do this.
I have similar requirements for myImage asset type , where it has more than
one binary properties(smallImage, largeImage, thumbImage). We need to load
them under one myImage type content, as functionally they represent one
image with different sizes.

I have the same problem as yours. I want to bulkload a custom type with two binary properties (one small thumbnail and one big image)
In the bulkloader doc, I found this :
"You can load only one binary property per node, and it must be defined as the primary property"
I would like to know if there is a tip to do it nevertheless, pehaps bulkloading twice to update the second image ?

Updating KM Metadata properties using KM API

Hi All,
We are tring to update the custom Metadata properties using KM API from the Abstract Portal Component.
We have written the below code for updating the metadata.
We have checkbox called "Region" which has multiple option values like "Asia,America,Europe". I was able to update this property with single value. But when i try to update with multiple value it is not working. I tried with comma seperated but it didn't work.
Can somebody through light on this. How to update multiple values?

Unable to connect to cluster to retrieve updated CMS member list.

1.We have total 3 unix servers gesprddwbo01, gesprddwbo02, gesprddwbo03
2.We have 2 cms running on servers bo01 and bo02 and both of them
are clustered.bo01 is main server and 02 is clustered
3.We have shut down server 02.
4.But when I am trying to login to CMC, I am getting error "Unable to
connect to cluster to retrieve updated CMS member list."
I think we need to change clsuter settings since one cms has been
deleted which was part of clustering.

search SAP notes for your tomcat clustering or cluster.properties. You need to add your cluster members to the web.xml or the cluster.properties file (some direction is in the web.xml file to follow).

Automation of updates of dimension properties/NEWID using Admin_MAKEDIM

We are trying to automate the changes to the properties to the dimension members and NEWID's to existing ID's. We have a SSIS that updates the mbrdimension table correctly but when we run the Admin_MAKEDIM from datamanager it is not applying the updates to the dimension members. But if there are new members they are updating ok.
Does Admin_Makedim process/apply changes to the dimension member properties and ID's ?

Were you able to get this to work?
The properties and new members need to exist in your temporary table.
The contents of the temporary table are then copied to the mbr table and then the dimension is processed.
Please note that the Excel member sheet is not update so you either need to manually export the dimension member sheet (there is an option to do this in the BPC Admin module) or you can create a process in SSIS to extract the contents of the Mbr table to the member sheet in the ADMINAPP folder.

Difference between Name columns, Attributes, and Member properties

I am studying for the "70-463 Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012" exam. I am using the "Training Kit (Exam 70-463): Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012".
In chapter 1 of this book the different columns of dimension are explained., however I fail to understand the difference between the following column types:
- Name columns: Used for human names of entities
- Attributes: Used for pivoting in analyses
- Member properties: Used for labels in a report
As far I can understand all those three are labels and can be used interchangeable. Am I correct? Or am I wrong? I suppose there might be some practical differences, but how can you tell?
I would really appreciate some examples showing the same data in a LOB
(OLTP), data warehouse (star schema), and data mart (OLAP cube) form.

If I understand correctly the difference is about context or how you use the column.
I did some further reading, and now I understand that an attribute can consists multiple columns. This way the following is possible:
An attribute can be combined of multiple columns: e.g. the attribute address can combined by the apartment number, house number, street name, ZIP code, city, state, and country.
An attribute can be column which is also part of another attribute: e.g. apartment number, house number, street name, ZIP code, city, state, and country can all be attributes own their own and simultaneously be part of the address attribute. The difference
is the context which depends on business needs and technical requirements.
An attribute can also consists of multiple columns which are aliases. This can be needed to support multiple languages or allow user friendly names (which allows spaces and funny characters) to coexist with technical names (which use a more restricted naming
convention and typically use camel case.) Another example would be an additional column for abbreviations which might be needed for narrow column headers. Depending on the context a specific column can be used.

Update multiple iphones to 5.1.1 on one iMac.
My daughter runs her business email through MobileMe. She updated to iCloud and no longer receives mail on her iPhone. We understand that she needs to upgrade to iOS 5.1.1 is this correct?
My daughter's Macbook is broken and is away being assessed (probably unusable). She urgently needs to receive mail etc. (She is a self-employed performer and depends on her mail and has over 1200 tunes). If she updates on my iMac will she lose her iTunes music, photos, contacts and apps?
How do we avoid this?
Do we need to back up her content first? If so, how?
Do we handle contacts differently to the iTunes items?
In short, 1 iMac, 2 iPhones - my iPhone is updated to 5.1.1, can we update my daughter's to 5.1.1 without wiping her content?
We have attempted to update her iOS but the warning message lead us to believe it was not possible without wiping it. We have also read several discussions with conflicting answers.

just taking that one step further..
there are two types of optical toslink surround setups.
1- those that have built in hardware decoding (like my Logitech Z-5500's) which means the speakers recieve that undecoded 5.1 signal from the computer, and the speakers themselves decode it - splitting the signal to 6 channels.
2-non harware decoding speakers, that are 5.1 but have to recieve a decoded signal from an optical toslink connector. note these cannot be used with a mac, as the mac does not output a decoded signal.
an external speaker&amp package has to be used in order to decode the output from the G5 Power Mac/ G5 iMac

i am new to this can any one help me how to update multiple rows at a time i am doing an school attendance page

Issue in reading multiple time properties file

Use Case:
I have a page in which i have to show some Outage Messages on page. So I have configured outage message in properties files. This message should me rendered each time when it finds that properties file in class path or it finds the values w.r.t their keys.
So what I decide that I shall write java method and call this method on Loading the page but here what happen is that whenever that page is load each time that reader file will call , that will create memory leak .
So, anyone help me on this. What will be the best approach for that reading multiple times properties file?

have a bean at applicationScope, somewhat like this
