  • Keeping "CS Web Service session" alive while uploading big files.

    Hi.
    I have a problem when I'm uploading big files, which takes longer than the session timeout value, causing the upload to fail.
    As you all know uploading a file is a three step process:
    1). Create a new DocumentDefinition Item on the server as a placeholder.
    2). Open an HTTP connection to the created placeholder and transfer the data using the HTTPConnection.put() method.
    3). Create the final document using the FileManager by passing in the destination folder and the document definition.
    The problem is that step 2 take so long that the "CS Web Service Session" times out and thus step 3 can not be completed. The Developer guide gives a utility method for creating an HTTP connection for step 2 and it states the folllowing "..you must create a cookie for the given domain and path in order to keep the session alive while transferring data." But this only keeps the session of the HTTP Connection alive and not the "CS Web Service Session". As in my case step 2 completes succesfully and the moment I peform step 3 it throws an ORACLE.FDK.SessionError:ORACLE.FDK.SessionNotConnected exception.
    How does one keep the "CS Web Service Session" alive?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards.

    Okay, even a thread that pushes dummy stuff through once in a while doesn't help. I'm getting the following when the keep alive thread kicks in while uploading a big file.

    I don't understand this, as the exception talks about "Concurrent Requests On The Same Session", but if their is already a request going on why is the session timing out in the first place?!
    I must be doing something really stupid somewhere. Aia ajay jay what a unproductive day...
    Any help? It will be greatly appreciated...

  • Problems uploading big files via FTP and downloading files

    I've been having problems uploading big files like video files (.mov 12MB) via FTP to my website (small files like .html or .doc I can upload but it takes longer than usual). I'm using Fetch 4.0.3. as FTP. Same problems when downloading files via Bit Torrent. I recently moved to Spain, since then I seem to have the problem. But my roommate with a PC doesn't have that problem. Connecting to internet with Ethernet cable also didn't resolve the problem. I also tested it from a Starbucks coffee connecting to Internet from there but still couldn't upload that 12MB file to the FTP. The security settings for firewall are set to "allow all incoming connections". I didn't change any of my settings so I don't know what the problems could be. I have a MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7) Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Much of what is available on Bittorrent is not legal, beta, or improperly labelled versions. If you want public domain software, see my FAQ*:

    for search engines of legitimate public domain sites.
    http://www.rbrowser.com/ has a light mode that supports binary without SSH security.
    http://rsug.itd.umich.edu/software/fugu/ has ssh secure FTP.
    Both I find are quick and a lot more reliable than Fetch. I know Fetch used to be the staple FTP program, but it grew too big for my use.

  • FTP Delivery error when uploading big file

    Hi,
    I've setup a Schedule with Delivery through SFTP. Usually (when the output size is not very big) it works fine.
    However, when my report (pdf) is too big, the job's status remains "Running" forever. When I go to my FTP directory the file's size is always 91.906.794 bytes. I checked BI Publisher's cache and the generated output is there but its size is always bigger than 91.906.794 bytes. That file works fine when I open it in Adobe Reader.
    Somehow, it seems that BI Publisher can't upload files bigger than 91.906.794 bytes but I can't find any maximum size in the documentation. And besides, I guess that if there was any maximum size, it should throw an error instead of getting stuck in "Running" status.
    I'm running Oracle BI Publisher version 11.1.1.6.0 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga). I've tested this feature in 2 different servers and the result is exactly the same.
    Anyone had this problem?
    Thank you,
    Tiago

  • Any idea for uploading big file ?

    i am working on a website , need to upload FLV video file , the problem i have i can upload the files like jpg with the low size like 500K or 1 MB , but when i try to upload movie file with the 2-3 MB after few minute i get internal error 500. its working on my local system nice but when i try from the hosting , its going crazy.
    i use <cffile> to upload . i try <cfftp> and try to upload via ftp protocol but its same . it should not be timeout error because when i run it on my local server and change the destination to upload on hosting server insted of my local server its work perfect and upload the 3mb file in less than minute but when i run it on the hosting server nothing .
    anybody has an idea whats going on ?
    also it there any chance to have progress bar when useing <cffile > or <cfftp> ?
    thanks

    It is quite likely that a maximum size limit of around 1 MB has been set in the Administrator of the hosting server. Ask the people who run the server about this.

  • Uploading big files via http post to XDB table

    Hello,
    I ve created a web form for to upload files as blobs to the database using XML DB, DBPS_EPG package and preconfigured DAD.
    The issue is that small files (~10kb) are being uploaded ok, but file which is 100K during http post returns connection reset from the server side.
    To my opinion there might be some max file size parameter for oracle server to accept during oracle listener tcp connection (as apach has maxrequestlimit).

  • Uploading big files...

    I'm trying to upload files, but when this file is really big I have had some problems like "out of memory" exceptions.
    Anyone knows a solution or not to the problem?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for you answer.
    Yes, now I'm trying to write small pieces of the file inmediatilly after read it.
    ByteArrayOutputStream gave me the exception, now I'm using FileOutputStream.
    Beside, do you have any experience with file upload on MAC?

  • Can't upload big files (over 250-300MB)

    Upload just stop's in different states. Same problem in ff 34, and 37.0.2 (Linux).
    This problem occurs on google drive or similar services (disk.yandex.ru, cloud.mail.ru).
    Hope you will understand my runglish.

    I would try the version of FF available on our site. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ (Note: I do not recommend using the 64-bit version at this time, even if your OS is 64-bit.)
    If that doesn't work, try posting on some Slackware forums to see if anyone else on Slackware 14.0 is having this issue. Right now there haven't been any other reports of this, so I don't think it is affecting the more mainstream operating systems.
    Wish I could offer more help.

  • Upload of very big files (300MB+)

    Hello all,
    I am trying to create application in HTMLDB to store files via webbrowser in DB(BLOB). I created all needed components and now stuck with the problem of uploading big files. Basicaly when file is over 100MB it becomes unreliable and for big files does not work at all. Can somebody help me to figure out how to upload big files into htmldb application. Any hints and sugestions are welcome. Examples will be even more appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Ian

    Ian,
    When you say "big files does not work at all", what do you see in the browser? Is no page returned at all?
    When a file is uploaded, it takes some amount of time to simply transfer the file from the client to modplsql. If you're on a local Gbit network, this is probably fast. If you're doing this over a WAN or over the Internet, this is probably fairly slow. As modplsql gets this uploaded file, it writes it to a temporary BLOB. Once fully received, modplsql will then insert this into the HTML DB upload table.
    I suspect that the TimeOut directive in Apache/Oracle HTTP Server is kicking in here. The default setting for this is 300 (5 minutes).
    I believe the timeout is reset by modplsql during file transfer to avoid a timeout operation while data is still being sent. Hence, I believe the insertion of your large file into the file upload table is taking longer than the TimeOut directive.
    The easy answer is to consider increasing your TimeOut directive for Apache/Oracle HTTP Server.
    The not so easy answer is to investigate why it takes so long for this insert, and tune the database accordingly.
    Hope this helps.
    Joel

  • High Score Table: Writing a Simple Text File with Flash and PHP

    I am having a problem getting Flash to work with PHP as I need Flash to read and write to a text file on a server to store simple name/score data for a games hi score table. I can read from the text file into Flash easily enough but also need to write to the file when a new high score is reached, so I need to use PHP to do that. I can send the data from flash to the php file via POST but so far it is not working. The PHP file is confirmed as working as I added an echo to the file which displayed a message so I  could check that the server was running PHP - the files were also uploaded to a remote server so I  could test them properly. Flash code is as follows:
    //php filewriter
    var myLV = new LoadVars();
    function sendData() {
    //sets up variable 'hsdata' to send to php
    myLV.hsdata = myText;
    myLV.send("hiscores.php");
    I believe this sends the variable 'myText' to the php file as a variable called 'hsdata' which I want the php file to write into a text file. The mytext variable is just a long string that has all the scores and names in the hiscore. OK, XML would be better way of doing this but for speed I just want to get basic functionality working, so storing a simple text sting is adequate for now. The PHP code that reads the Flash 'hsdata' variable and writes it to the text file 'scores.txt' follows:
    <?php
    //assigns to variable the data POSTed from flash
    $flashdata = $_POST["hsdata"];
    //file handler opens file and erases all contents with w arg
    $fh = fopen("scores.txt","w");
    //adds data to file
    fwrite ($fh,$flashdata);
    //closes file
    fclose ($fh);
    echo 'php file is working';
    ?>
    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated - once I can get php to write simple text files I should be ok. Thanks.

    Thanks for your help.
    I have got Flash working to a certain extent with PHP using loadVars but have been unable to get flash to receive a variable declared in PHP. Here's my Flash code:
    var outLV = new LoadVars();
    var inLV = new LoadVars();
    function sendData() {
    outLV.hsdata = "Hello from Flash";
    outLV.sendAndLoad("http://www.mysite.com/hiscores/test23.php",inLV,"post");
    inLV.onLoad = function(success) {
    if (success) {
      //sets dynamic text box to show variable sent from php
      statusTxt.text = phpmess;
    } else {
      statusTxt.text = "No Data Received";
    This works ok and the inLV.onLoad function reports that it is receiving data but does not display the variable received from PHP. The PHP file is like this:
    <?php
    $mytxt =$_POST['hsdata'];
    $myfile = "test23.txt";
    $fh = fopen($myfile,'w');
    //adds data to file
    fwrite($fh, $mytxt);
    //closes file
    fclose ($fh);
    $mess = "hello there from php";
    echo ("&phpmess=$mess&");
    ?>
    The PHP file is correctly receiving the hsdata from flash and writing it to a text file, but there seems to be a problem with the final part of the code which is intended to send a variable called 'phpmess' back to Flash, this is the string "hello there from php". How do I set up Flash and PHP so that PHP can send a variable back to Flash using echo? Really have tried everything but am totally baffled. Online tutorials have given numerous different syntax configurations for how the PHP file should be written which has really confused me - any help would be greatly appreciated.
