Uploading bulk data in v_512w_d

Hi gurus,
I have to upload bulk data in table V_512W_D.
Plase let me know the best way to do it..
Thanks,
Adesh

Hi,
We had a similar requirement.
At that time what we did was, we had downloaded the data from different table from source system.
We have created a program in Development Server to upload the data into target system Development.
And transported the table with data into Quality and Production.
Hope this helps.
Pradeep.

  • To upload bulk data through FI transation F-02

    Hey All,
The requirement here is to upload bulk data through FI transation F-02.
Using a BDC for the data upload is not suggested for this transaction as the Screen Sequence changes as per the values of the Posting Key ( and in some rare cases according to value of Account ).
Authorisations for LSMW havent been provided at this site.
I looked up SDN which showed many threads in which it was agreed that coding a BDC to handle such a dynamic sequence of screens is very complex. Some people suggested BAPIs as an alternative. Namely - BAPI_ACCT_DOCUMENT_POST and  BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT .
But, when I searched for the BAPI BAPI_ACCT_DOCUMENT_POST in se37, it did not exist !!  The SAP version here is 4.6c
    Any suggestions ?
    -ashrut .
    Extra Info -
The posting keys I have to use are - GL Account Debit, GL Account Credit , Vendor Debit, Vendor Credit .
And there is the special case of a GL Account mapping to a Sales Order No for the GL Account Posting Keys.
SDN Links - BDC for FB01
                      http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-acct/prog-rfbibl00-230755?cv=expanded#

When we implemented, we used this program to upload all of our financial activity. We did not use LSMW and never have. We continue to use the program for interfaces. It is well documented, so check that out.

  • Upload bulk data into sap?

    hi all,
let me know is there any methods to upload bulk data into sap and can same data be modified , delete , add. please correct me if i am wrong. what i know is that we can do with lsmw method, as i am new to lsmw method please let me know where to hunt for lsmw documentation.
    thanks,
    john dias.

    Hi John-
According to SAP, The Data Transfer Workbench supports the automatic transfer of data into the system. The Workbench is particularly useful for various business objects with large amounts of data. It guarantees that data is transferred efficiently and ensures that data in the system is consistent.
Further, The Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) is a tool recommended by SAP that you can use to transfer data once only or periodically from legacy systems into an R/3 System.
For your purpose you might be helped by the following two links-

  • Uploading bulk data in oracle spatial

    Hi,
I need to upload a map data in (input is ESRI File geodatabase) in Oracle Spatial using ArcSDE.
I have Oracle spatial 10g, ArcGIS desktop 9.3. I am able to connect the oracle spatial data using arcsde and i am able to view those maps in arcmap. Also, i am able to upload small esri shape files in oracle spatial using esri arccatalog through arcsde.
I would like to know, the steps to be followed to upload a road network for North america (around 15gb) data as SDO. If there is any document available it will be more useful for me.
Or pls. share your experience in this.
    Thanks,
    Vadivelan. P

    Yikes,
You won't require 150 gig of undo to load your data with ESRI tools. Noel might need to start a new thread to discuss that issue as his bulk loader may need some tuning. :p
All ESRI bulk loaders use a rather modest auto-commit. ArcCatalog is 1000 records and sdeimport is 2000 records by default. So after loading that many records the tool does a commit and thus avoids much undo at all. You can easily change this number to tune performance (higher for point data, lower for huge honkin' polygons) in the parameters.
At this point I would say the heck with all these torpedoes and give your load a try. You stated in the very first thread that you have loaded shapefiles successfully into Oracle Spatial so the assumption is you have your dbtune keywords setup and are all set with the issues of mapping ESRI coordinate systems into Oracle Spatial. So full steam ahead! Another idea would be to load a small subset of the data and make sure its correct to your needs before doing the whole thing. My opinion is I don't think you need to worry about the 15 gig size of the load. Yes it will take some time to do but I would bet whatever problems you run into are the same you would face with a 15 meg load.
    Cheers and good luck,
    Paul

  • What is the method used for upload of  data

    Hi All,
What is the method used for upload of  Data from excel spread sheets to SAP HR.
it is Bulk Data from many countries.LSMW or BDC Session Method?
what are country specific infotypes used for PA and OM.
can u plz give the list of country specific infotypes used for PA n OM Module.
    Thanks
    Archana

    Hi Archana,
To Upload bulk data I think BDC is the best and effecient way.
Regarding Infotypes we dont have any country specific Infotypes in OM & PA. In Payroll we do have according to country wise.
I hope you had understood the point

  • Optimization for bulk data upload

    Hi everyone!
    I've got the following issue:
I have to do a bulk data upload using JMS deploy in a glassfish 2.1, to process and validate data in a Oracle 10g DB System before it is insert.
I have my web interface that loads a file and then delegates the process to a Stateless Session Bean which read a N number of lines and after that send a message to a JMS Queue. The JMS has to parse the each line, validate them with the data already in the DB, and finally persist the new data.
This process is high process consuming, and I need to improve the performance time. I tried to change glassfish default JMS and JDBC pool size, but I have no a huge difference.
Do you have any advice that could help me?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi! thank you for you answer!
High process consuming is in the MDB
I'm grouping each N number of read lines in the EJB and then send the message to the JMS. The MDB process the persists each line as info in different related tables.
    Thanks again!

  • Enhancement_CIN_Capture Incoming Excise Invoice-J1IEX bulk data upload

    Dear All,
Sub:CIN_Capture Incoming Excise Invoice-J1IEX bulk data upload option requirement
We are capturing the Incoming excise invoices manually in the
transaction J1IEX with huge datau2019s and according to the volume of data
it is very difficult for us to enter manually and now we required for
the option of bulk data processing to upload the data from the Excel
file(received the softcopy from the supplier).
As per our observations we found the BAPI named
BAPI_EXCINV_CREATE_FROMDATA but the update level of this BAPI is not
available in our system because as per the Indian Government norms one
ofthe current Excise Duty Tariff is as below
    1. Basic Excise Duty (BED 8%).
    2. Education Cess (ECess 2%)
    3. Secondary Education Cess (SECess 1%)
and we observed the SECess (1%) is not covered in the above mentioned
BAPI so we are not in a position to proceed further.
So Kindly update us is any other relevant option will solve the purpose.
We are in a quite difficult situation to uplaod the datas to our system
    so please do the needful.
    Regards,
    PrabuM

Please note that CIN uses the 'MB_MIGO_BADI' definition and 'CIN_PLUG_IN_TO_MIGO' is the implementation. You can create multiple implementations of this BADI. The same BADI is used for single step Capture & Post of excise invoice in MIGO. Kindly use this BADI as per your needs. SAP std does not support any BAPIs for Goods Receipts with Excise updates

  • How to upload Bulk Customer Data from Excel or Notepad?

    Hi
Could any body explain me how can we upload bulk customer master data into SAP system. How the LSMW functionality works for it. what are the prerequisites to upload the data into the system, and Could any body explain me the detailed procedure to upload Customer master data into the system.
As well I request you to know what are the other functionality we use for uploading. What would be the difference between IDOC and BDC functionalities.

  • Bulk Data Upload

    Hi
We have a requirement to load bulk data which would be a full dump (and not incremental) in CSV format almost every week from other applications.
This implies that I can drop my tables and rebuild the same using the CSV files that I have received.
I was just wondering is there is any real efficient tool or utility in ORacle (or outside) to import huge amount of data (apart from SQL Loader, Ext Tables and Data Pump)
    Regards
    Kapil

I don't know of any tool apart from loader/Ext-table and Datapump.
You may find tools which you can buy (and claim they are really good).
Honestly, if you want to load flat file data (gigabytes or kilobytes) into Oracle, there is nothing better than SQL*loader, "if you use all its capabilities" (External tables and loader are same thing, just the wrapper is different).
    Cheers

  • Creation of SO based on the input in table format  for bulk data : urgent

    Hi,
The data from an external system will be sent to SAP in a bulk format and also as a Table. i.e. they are going to send around 30 Purchase orders from external system . I need to fetch all of them at a time and create SO for each one .
Hence, anyone please provide a work around for the same.
    shyam

    HI Shyam
    Proceed as below:
    1. Identify the file layout like how it is going to be for multiple items.
    2. Upload the data to an internal table:
    3. Loop at internal table
    4. Populate the data required for BAPI structures
    5. AT END of PO number call a BAPI to create a Sales Order.
Make sure you are clearing/refreshing the structures/internal tables for BAPI.

  • Reg "Allow Bulk Data Load"

    Hi all,
    GoodMorning,.
what exactly does the option of "Allow Bulk Data Load" option on Company Profile page do, it is clear in doc. that it allows crm on demand consultants to load bulk data. But i am not clear on how they load etc etc, do they use anyother tools other than that admin. uses for data uploading.
any real time implementation example using this option would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sreekanth.

The Bulk Data Load utility is a utility similar to the Import Utility that On Demand Professional Services can use for import. The Bulk Data Load utility is accessed from a separate URL and once a company has allowed bulk data load then we would be able to use the Bulk Data Load Utility for importing their data.
The Bulk Data Load uses similar method to the Import Utility for importing data with the difference being that the number of records per import is higher and you can queue multiple import jobs.

  • Issue when uploading Sales data from DSO to Cube.

    Dear All,
I have an issue when I am uploading Sales data from DSO to Cube.  I am using BI 7.0 and I have uploaded all sales document level data to my DSO.  Then I use a transformation rule to calculate the Sales Value when I am doing DTP to cube.  Cube has customer wise aggregation data.
In DSO I have NetPrice(KF) and Delivered_QTY(KF).  I do a simple multiplication routine in the transformation from DSO to Cube.
    RESULT =   SOURCE_FIELDS-NET_PRICE * SOURCE_FIELDS-DLV_QTY .
At the moment I use Active Table(With out Archive) on the DSO to get the data since this is my first load.
Issue is that the figure (Sales Value) in the cube is incorrect. I am getting a very large values which is impossible.
    Can someone please help me.
    Shanka

    Hi,
are you sure that cube has customer wise aggregated data..since it will always aggregate the values of the key figures for the same set of characters...
did you checked the values for the key figures as well and if even they are inflated or is the problem with this key figure only.
During the data load the records may aggregates first for the same values of characters and then multiplication will be happening....if that is the case then you may have to multiply the values before storing it in the data package and then let it aggregate....can be achived through start routine...
but first verify if other key figures are also having the same issue.
    Thanks
    Ajeet

  • What is the Tcodes for Uploading of data using BDC & CATT

    PP members:
I was going through the <b>cutover activities</b> ,  and what I understood is  we transfer all the legacy system data into SAP before going live
The data upload follows certain steps (depends on the organizational design load strategies)
First we upload all the master data ( material master, BOM, W/C's & Routings)
Then the transaction data ( Ideally speaking, there should no open orders i.e. WIP as on the day of cutoff )
If the WIP (Work in Process) is unavoidable then the materials consumed shall be treated as <b>materials of the previous stage</b> and necessary adjustments shall be made after cutover day
At this point, I could not able to understand what does the author mean <b>materials of the previous stage</b>
Now comming to the uploading of data into SAP from legacy system, we use tools like LSMW, CATT & BDC
Is it a must to use <b>only LSMW tool</b> to upload master data or any other upload tools are fine
Lastly,. I am not sure about the Tcode of CATT & BDC
    Summary of the questions:
1.What does the author mean  <b>material of previous stage</b>, for WIP materials during cutover activities
    2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data
    3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC ?
    Thanks for your time
    Suren R

    Dear,
1.What does the author mean material of previous stage, for WIP materials during cutover activities - as i understood, what is the stage of material..like it must have gone through 2 work centers and other 2 is left. i.e. you need to create Production order with only 2 operation as other 2 is already over. - usually it is done in such a way that we will create Production order and confirm till 2 operations and WIp is calculated so thatb FI will tally the books in SAP and lagacy.
    2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data - no you can use any tool as required and suits yr requirement
    3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC- BDC through a prog in SE38. CATT through - SCEM.
