URGENT!!! Flex Event error - Mac OS X 10.5
I have spent some hours working on debugging my code and this
is the first time I think I found a bug that isn't mine. It appears
to be a bug with Flash player 9 on Mac OS X (10.5). In short, file
selections fail.
The same .swf file works fine on windows and worked on OS
10.49 before I upgraded a few days ago. Last night I began working
on the uploader portion of an application I am building and could
not figure out why the uploader class I made last week decided to
not work at all this week. After a good night's rest and an early
start I began my debugging effort again, this time copying the
compiled .swf file to my windows machine and testing it there (but
only after another hour or so of googling for better examples). It
worked. I tried the same file on the mac and it failed. After
testing the file in Firefox 2, Safari 3, and Opera, I decided that
it must be a bug introduced by the release of the new Mac OS. At
the time I wasn't sure exactly what the problem was but with a
little digging I discovered that the root of the problem (as far as
Flex developers are concerned) lies in the failure of the user's
file selection to trigger an event.
If anyone would like to try this out please use the link
below. It is not my example but it produces the same error that my
code produces. If you try on a non-mac OS 10.5 system you will be
able to select files and they will be added to the list. On a mac
10.5 system you will be able to select files but they will not
appear in the file list.
http://labs.newmediateam.com/Multifileupload/FileUpload.html
I posted the bug report here:
http://bugs.adobe.com/flex/
I wasn't sure exactly what to post it as so I put it under
"Flex" and then chose "Events". Its actually kind of confusing how
they have it set up. At any rate - I just checked it and apparently
someone actually looked at it.... The "resolution" is a bit cryptic
though. You can see the report and comments here:
https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-13254
From what I can tell it seems that they determined it is a
Flash player bug (something I actually suspected myself but didn't
really have the capability to test.) Seems that they may have
reposted this error on the Flash bug report system... not sure
though.

Flex compilation error: line exceeds 32k span
Hi All,
I am trying to execute my application being developed in VC7.0 (nw04s sneak preview version) using tabbed layers. I have 3 layers and has the following UI components
1 tab/layer: input form
2 tab/layer: table control
3 tab/layer: table control
Following is the error from the source Viewer window
<b>com.myComp.myProduct.8J.Empdetailsview</b>
Error in executing a process for Flex compilation, Error: Branch between 8421 and 41193 around line 0 exceeds 32K span. If possible, please refactor this component.
(E:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\cluster\server0\GUIMachine_Business_Packages\empModel_18608\FLEX_COMPILATION_FOLEDR\AAD8J-generated.as:2188)
Error: Branch between 8421 and 41193 around line 0 exceeds 32K span.
Failed to compile AAD8J.mxml
PS: Initially I had a table and chart controls in my second layer (no 3rd layer then) and got the same error however, after removing the chart contrl, the app begun to run.
Now I added a 3rd layer which has one table contrl only and now the app is not working. I also have eventing between my layers..
Please help
Thanks
SathishHi
The 32k issue id pretty hard to get rid of once it starts, instead of using the 3rd layer, try and create a nested iview, you can also try and use a nested iview for each layer, this is a bit more complicated to do but does seem to workaround the 32k problem.

I'm trying to setup the Flex SDK locally (the bugquash event over the weekend
inspired me) and have got everything installed except I'm getting 2 errors after
I import all of the sample projects:
1012: The static attribute may be used only on definitions inside a class.
airframework/airframework/src/mx/core Version.as line 18 1238554510921 1101
and
1012: The static attribute may be used only on definitions inside a class.
rpc/rpc/src/mx/core Version.as line 17 1238554489765 1100
I should be good to go if I can figure out what I'm doing wrong with these 2
things.
This is all that is in those files, but it is the mx_internal static...line that
is causing the issue (in both projects)
import mx.core.mx_internal;
* @private
* Version string for this class.
mx_internal static const VERSION:String = "3.4.0.0";
Any ideas?

Apple replaced my hard drive on my Imac. I'm lucky I backed up everything on a Seagate Go Flex Desk for Mac external drive via Time Machine . I followed directions in order to restore my iphoto library , but I can't seem to find it on my computer. Are the files locked?
No reason to assume they are locked. The library will be restored to the location it was backed up from, unless you specified somewhere else. Have you looked in your Pictures Folder?

Flex compilation error after adding an additional output port to a query
Hello,
I need to add an additional output port to a query in order to dynamically filter some results. Our version of VC 7.0 (SP16) doesn't support filter components with access to store data.
Just when we add an extra output port to the query and deploy it we run into a flex compilation error.
Has somebody come along with that?
Kind regards
StefanHi
Why exactly you want another output port. With same output port you can drag multiple filters & restrict the output.
Creation of second output port is not required.
If first way is not suitable in your case, then you add that query twice (or multiple times) & pass the same input parameters.
If still it is not serving the purpose then please elaborate your requirement as what dynamic filter you want.

Import "Events from Mac" onto Mac from iPhone
I recently lost all of the data on my Mac due to a faulty backup. At the moment I am trying to transfer photos from my iPhone to my computer, but can only import a small portion of them, excluding the "events from Mac" folder. How can I import these photos into my library? I can access all of them on my phone, but none are present when I connect to my Mac.
ThanksYou'll need a thread-party app that can access the photos outside your camera roll.
iExplorer is one such app, but there are others. Search on MacUpdate
Be aware that the photos will likely be reduced in size. -

Items.Id,
Item.Id;By using //, i am able to use the same query for both. Is there a better way?If using a single query is a must, then I guess it's OK.
Ideally, however, i would like the text of each (without tags), separated by commas. The fn:string-join() function can do that, e.g. :
ItemLinkDesc VARCHAR2(4000) PATH 'fn:string-join(ItemLinks/ItemLink/Description, ";")'But I'm not sure it's a good idea because you'll be losing the structured nature of the data.
Maybe it would be better to collect repeating elements into a collection of SQL object types, but again it all depends on how you want to use the data later.
So, following your advice, i removed the XMLAGGs and GROUP BY clause, but, again the query works, the CTAS does not:Strange...
Works for me :

Pro Debug Event - Error 290 /tick time
Suddenly a project I was working (and all the auto-saved folders) could not open anymore by giving me the following message: "Pro Debug Event - error 290 tick time"
Whenever you enounter an error, as a general rule, search the forum to see if it's already been addressed, or to join the discussion:
TickTime.cpp-290 error after opening a specific project | Premiere CC 2014.2 | Windows 8.1
Also, I always convert/ingest my media to use the same format that runs natively in PPro and does not require conforming.
Second, with regards to losing work with projects that can't be fixed. I always save my projects incrementally to new names as I go. When I hit an issue that cannot be resolved (and occasionally I do), I reopen the previously saved project and try something else. In fact today I hit a stack error. It was a three-day edit, and I was on version "(project name)_028.prproj" I just opened up the previous version "..._027.prproj", repeated the few edits that I lost in "028" and rendered without error. Follow that?
Anyway, read the link above for a possible fix. -
Can uninstalling and installing CS4 fix the debug event error message?
Hello,
Can uninstalling and installing cs4 solve the debug event error message? Can uninstalling and installing cs4 solve the debug event error message?
Well, that DOES seem to be the scripted mantra of Adobe TS in some out of the way country. According to most reports, that cures everything from trying to Capture over a USB cable to working with footage from your cellphone camera. In most cases, it has cured very little, though maybe the Debug Event error IS something that will be fixed by this.
Good luck,

Dear Adobe Community,
I got my first imac a few days ago, and i decided to install Adobe CC.
When i want to run Adobe Bridge, says "the operation could not be completed", the same happens with Adobe After Effects.
And I also have a problem with Premiere, when i want to export a project says that premiere must close.
This is the try version, is this a problem of Adobe or Apple? i'm very worried
Help!
Thank you!
IvanaMuchas gracias!!! Ha funcionado!

Confirma que se trata de una cuestión de permisos.
Por cierto te aconsejos actualices la 9.1 a 9.2, posiblemente se habría arreglado así también.
Bueno los pasos son:
2. Select Go from the Finder Menu.
3. Select Computer.
4. Select Macintosh HD.
5. Select Users.
6. Select your user profile.
7. Right click on user profile. Select Get Info.
8. Go to bottom and unlock with admin password to make changes.
9. Make sure your user profile has Read and Write privileges by selecting from dropdown menu.
10. Go down to wheel at very bottom and select Apply to enclosed items. This should allow Adobe Bridge to run properly.
