Urgent: how to get filtered records in ALV

Hi
I have used ALV in OO context. However when i apply the filter and get the filtered entries on the screen, I want to get these filtered records into an internal table. How do I do this. I have tried using the methods GET_FILTERED_ENTRIES and GET_FILTER_CRITERIA, but it does not work. Please help me in getting the filtered records into an internal table.

You can use REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_GET to get the information about the layout, including the filter criteria, then use that to figure out which records to process.

Hello BW Gurus,
We are facing one serious issue. Here is the scenario.
1st time the Delta was init and for next consective two loads delta ran sucessfully... then next time delta got failed and the status is in red..... even though system started next delta loading and it has fetched the records and status is in green but not activated ,,,,,its happening still past one month so almost there are 20 requests which are to be get activatetd.
How to resolve this issue.
And how to get the records of the partilcular day when the delta got failed.

Anyone have come across with this strange issue then help me out and i will rewarrd the points.

Can you provide more details about your extractor and data targets.
Are you loading delta to an ODS ??
If you are loading to an ODS, The only solution i can see is to get the missing delta records via FULL UPDATE. Because if you delete the error request from ODS it will also delete the 20 successful requests above it.

Preparing the table for sorting settings
We have two important points to tell about this topic. First one is that, be ready for a short dump if any one of the fields given to be sorted is not in the content of the field catalog. Secondly, when you make ALV Grid to sort data, by default it vertically merges fields having the same content. To avoid from this for all of the columns, you can set no_merging field of the layout structure to X. If you want to disable merging for just some columns, set no_merging field of the field catalog row corresponding to that column.
You can get and set sort criteria applied whenever you want by using methods get_sort_criteria and set_sort_criteria, respectively.

Sorts CL_SALV_SORTS
we can add some sorting to the ALV grid. Create the object reference variable and receive the object using the GET_SORTS method of the GR_TABLE object. Next, add the sort by calling the ADD_SORT method of the GR_SORTS object.

How to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql()

I created Proxy service(ALSB3.0) to get records from DB table. I have used Xquery function(fn-bea:execute-sql()). Using simple SQL query I got single record, but my table having multiple records. Please suggest how to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql() and how to assign them in ALSB variable.

Am facing the same issue stated above that I couldnt get all the records in the table that am querying in the Proxyservice.
For example:
fn-bea:execute-sql('EsbDataSource', 'student', 'select Name from StudentList' ) is the query that am using to fetch the records from the table called StudentList which contains more than one records like
Id Name
01 XXX
02 YYY
03 ZZZ
I tried to assign the result of the above query in a variable and while trying to log the variable, I can see the below

<Name>XXX</Name>
</student>
I want to have all the records from my table in xml format but it's not coming up. I get the value only from the first row of my table.

V_CurrQuarter=Quarter(CurrentDate())

Apply filter on report
V_Quarter= V_CurrQuarter and V_Year=V_CurrYear

How to get the record selected in ztable based record in the output of alv

Hi All,
I have developed a report, it is displaying the output in ALV format.The list contained some 20 fields along with MATERIAL and BATCH. I have provided menu bar as extras -> ztable(it also contained MATERIAL and BATCH). But I have some issue when I select any record in the output then go to
path extras -> ztable, it has to select the record in ztable based MATERIAL and BATCH which i have selected in the output, then can you please provide solution for the above problem.

you can do this by,
data: index_rows type lvc_t_row,
      index like line of index_rows.
* Get Selected rows from alv grid
clear index_rows. refresh index_rows.
"When you choose extras->ztable
call method alv_grid->get_selected_rows
           importing
                 et_index_rows = index_rows.
* Now delete those rows from the ALV grid
loop at index_rows into index.
    read table itab index index-index. "Lets say itab is the table you are displaying
    if sy-subrc = 0.
     perform bdc_sm30. "do simple bdc for sm30 with tab name and selected values
    endif.
endloop.

Can any one please tell me what will be the SQL statement to get 10 records for each department . I dont want top 10 , i just want to get 10 records for each department from the employee table. or lets say 10 orders for each day for last 30 days from the order table. This is very URGENT. Please help.

Thanks for your reply . But you didnt get my question I guess. I said I dont want the top "N" records. I want a query to pull N records for each department . Here is a sample, which shows 3 records for each department. Though there can be many records in the table for each department, the select staement pulls only three records for each department. I want that select statement.

Hi,
To get only the changed data in the ALV grid of a WD, you need to capture the "ON_DATA_CHECK" of the ALV grid.
To this please do the following in the ALV initialization of the ALV table settings :
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(
            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CELL_EVENT ).
You may also do this:
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CHECK_EVENT)
The above two ways would depend on when do you need to check for the changed data. If you want to check the data as soon as it is entered, then use the first method. Else, use the second method.
You need to register an EVENT HANDLER for this event.(You may do this in your VIEW or Component Controller).
In this Event handler, you would find an importing parameter R_PARAM which is a ref type of      IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK.
The attribute T_MODIFIED_CELLS of this interface IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK will contain the modified cells of the ALV with the old & new values.

Urgent:How to get the Sqltext for Oracle Sumbitted Jobs in 10g

Dear All,
Could you help me out in sorting the below problem.
I use to get the current running sql's with following below query in 9i.
SELECT A.SID,B.HASH_VALUE, OSUSER, USERNAME, SQL_TEXT
FROM V$SESSION A, V$SQLTEXT B
WHERE B.HASH_VALUE = A.SQL_HASH_VALUE
AND USERNAME LIKE upper('%SCHEMA%')
ORDER BY B.HASH_VALUE, B.PIECE;
This is will work in 10g also for user-triggered sqls,stored procedures etc.
But when oracle submits job i'm not able find which qurery is running.
Seems For oracle jobs in 10g for V$session contain column SQL_HASH_VALUE as Zero and hence i'm not able find the any sql's running.
Could you please any of you help me out how to get the Sqltext for Orcle submited Jobs in 10g.
Please revert asap as this is very urgent for me.
