Urgent : Relation b/w PROJ ,JEST ,JSTO.... tables?

Hi Guys,
              I am using these tables PROJ , JSTO , JEST , TJ30 , TJ30T and TJ02T.can anybody tell me how they are Related.I mean Primary Key Freign key Relationship.
                   In my program i have to download the data from these table based on Created date and Last Updatetd Date .Except PROJ table other tables are not having any date field. So how to download the data based on PROJ Table for all the other tables?
                          Very Very Urgent.Full points will be given for correct Answer.

Hello Gopi,
Please select the field OBJNR from PROJ table for a project not delete status.
Than select all the active user/system status for that project. Active and Inactive status you will find from the FM STATUS_READ and STATUS_TEXT_EDIT

Insert XML file into Relational database model without using XMLTYPE tables

Dear all,
How can I store a known complex XML file into an existing relational database WITHOUT using xmltypes in the database ?
I read the article on DBMS_XMLSTORE. DBMS_XMLSTORE indeed partially bridges the gap between XML and RDBMS to a certain extent, namely for simply structured XML (canonical structure) and simple tables.
However, when the XML structure will become arbitrary and rapidly evolving, surely there must be a way to map XML to a relational model more flexibly.
We work in a java/Oracle10 environment that receives very large XML documents from an independent data management source. These files comply with an XML schema. That is all we know. Still, all these data must be inserted/updated daily in an existing relational model. Quite an assignment isn't it ?
The database does and will not contain XMLTYPES, only plain RDBMS tables.
Are you aware of a framework/product or tool to do what DBMS_XMLSTORE does but with any format of XML file ? If not, I am doomed.
Constraints : Input via XML files defined by third party
Storage : relational database model with hundreds of tables and thousands of existing queries that can not be touched. The model must not be altered.
Target : get this XML into the database on a daily basis via an automated process.

If you would try something like DBMS_XMLSTORE, you probably would be into serious performance problems in your case, very fast, and it would be very difficult to manage.
If you would use a little bit of XMLType stuff, you would be able to shred the data into the relational model very fast and controlable. Take it from me, I am one of those old geezers like Mr. Tom Kyte way beyond 40 years (still joking). No seriously. I started out as a classical PL/SQL, Forms Guy that switched after two years to become a "DBA 1.0" and Mr Codd and Mr Date were for years my biggest hero's. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Tom Kyte for all his efforts for bringing the concepts manual into the development world. Just to name some off the names that influenced me. But you will have to work with UNSTRUCTURED data (as Mr Date would call it). 80% of the data out there exists off it. Stuff like XMLTABLE and XML VIEWs bridge the gap between that unstructured world and the relational world. It is very doable to drag and drop an XML file into the XMLDB database into a XMLtype table and or for instance via FTP. From that point on it is in the database. From there you could move into relational tables via XMLTABLE methods or XML Views.
You could see the described method as a filtering option so XML can be transformed into relational data. If you don't want any XML in your current database, then create an small Oracle database with XML DB installed (if doable 11.1.0.7 regarding the best performance --> all the new fast optimizer stuff etc). Use that database as a staging area that does all the XML shredding for you into relational components and ship the end result via database links and or materialized views or other probably known methodes into your relational database that isn't allowed to have XMLType.
This way you would keep your realtional Oracle database clean and have the Oracle XML DB staging database do all the filtering and shredding into relational components.
Throwing the XML DB option out off the window beforehand would be like replacing your Mercedes with a bicycle. With both you will be able to travel the distance from Paris to Rome, but it will take you a hell of lot longer.

Each Procedure handles 5 - 20 Tables as Per The Need of Business Rule.
I need All Package and Related Procedure Names Where a Specific Table Name Appears(DBA_SOURCE doesn't serve purpose.)

I tried the solution provided to me, but unfortunately the issue remains the same.
I was Advised to Execute the SQL utldtree.Sql, and then Execute deptree_fill.
The output is given by a Table DEPTREE (Columns are: .'NESTED_LEVEL', 'TYPE', 'SCHEMA', 'NAME' and 'SEQ#')
The output I am getting From the Table DEPTREE is as follows -
Column TYPE value is PACKAGE; Column NAME Value is ACTUAL PACKAGE NAME
Column TYPE value is PACKAGE BODY; Column NAME Value is ACTUAL PACKAGE NAME
This repeats till the count the TABLE Name is found in the same PACKAGE
Desired Output should be -
Column TYPE value PACKAGE; Column NAME Value ACTUAL PACKAGE NAME
Column TYPE value PACKAGE BODY; Column NAME Value ACTUAL PACKAGE BODY NAME
This should repeat till the count the TABLE Name appears in different PACKAGE BODY of the same PACKAGE

Problem related to a column in a table?

Hi All,
I have a table and two webservices.On the basis of certain search criteria,the table will get populatedwith data.
In the search screen i am passing values to both the webservices. Then in return my table is getting populated with data from both the webservices.
For this sake I have created a value node with value attribites according to the number of fields required for the table.
I have one column as a requirement as a link.I am binding this value node to the table and then the table is ready for the data incoming.
But the column LINK is not related to any webservices.
The LINK has the record "click to view".
The text click to view should be disabled for the row or the data coming from one webservice and should be enabled for the other.
While binding the table with the value node , I am setting the editor as linkToURL and binding property as enabled.
Then in the program I am setting it false for one for loop which is responsible for one webservice and otherwise for the other.

Urgent problem: grouping by fields of internal table

i have a urgent problem and i hope that you can help me out:
i have an internal table containing data, and i sorted it by 3 fields.
now what i want to do is kind of grouping that means that all the lines that are the same should be written into another internal table like this:

How could i do this ( especially avoiding nested loops ? ) Is there a handy trick to do this efficiently ?

URGENT:Problem in a mapping with 8 tables in JOIN and using the DEDUP op.

I have an urgent problem with a mapping: I must load data from 8 source tables (joined togheter) in a target table.
Some data from 1 of the 8 tables have to be deduplicated, so I created a sort of staging table where I inserted the "cleaned" data, I mean, the deduplicated ones.
I made it to make all the process faster.
Then, I joined the 8 tabled, writing the join conditions in the operator properties, and connected the outputs into the fields of the target table.
But..it does not work because this kind of mapping create a cartesian product.
Then, I tried again with another mapping builted up in this way: after the joiner operator, I used the Match-Merge Operator and I load all data into a staging table exactly alike the target one, except for the PK (because it is a sequence). Then, I load the data from this staging table into the target one, and, of course, I connect to the target table also the sequence (the primary key). The first loading works fine (and load all the data as I expected).
For the next loadings,I scheduled a pre-mapping process that truncate the staging table and re-load the new data.
But..it does not work. I mean, It doesn't update the data previously loaded (or inser the new ones), but only insert the data, not considering the PK.
So, my questions are as follow:
1) Why loading the data directly from the joiner operator into the fact table doesn't work? Why does it generate a cartesian product??
2) The "escamotage" to use the Match-Merge operator is correct? I have to admit that I didn't understand very well the behaviour of this operator...
3) And, most of all, HOW CAN I LOAD MY DATA? I cannot find a way out....

Yes, I inserted the proper join condition and in fact I saw that when WB generates the script it considers my join but, instead of using the fields in a single select statement, it builts up many sub-selects. Furthermore, it seems as it doesn't evaluate properly the fields coming from the source tables where I inserted the deduplicated data...I mean, the problems seems not to be the join condition, but the data not correctly deduplicated..

[Urgent] Issue with Selected rows in Advanced table

I have created an advanced table and i want to have functionality of deleting selected rows.
For implementation of this functionality, i have created a selectflag transient attribute [varchar2] and linked it to multiple select item of Advanced table but the table always returns null for selectflag attribute irrespective of row being selected or not.
One thing i have noticed is that i can't supply 'checked value' and 'unchecked value' property in advanced table multiple select item. Is that the issue?
Can anybody please guide, its quite urgent.

Yes, you are right i am using same AM at 2 different places.
Let me just elaborate a little about my implementation:
I have a Page layout region and within this page layout, i have a query bean which performs results based search.
Within this query bean, i have added an Advanced table within that query bean to display the results.
Now coming to multiple AM issue:
1. Page Layout region must have one AM or its an error.
2. If i donot add an AM to advanced table, it doesn't return rows.
So do i need to have 2 diferent AM's for this implementation?

Hi ,
1.)You must have to create a EO based on custom table and then VO based on this EO eventually to save the values in DB
2.) the row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED); is used to set the the status of row as inialized ,this is must required.
3.) When u will create the VO based on EO the viewattributes will be created in VO which will be assigned to the fields to take care the db handling .
You must go thtough the lab excercise shipped with you Jdeveloper ,there is a example of Create Employee page ,that will solve your number of doubts.

Creating a master-detail relation between a view and a table

Hi all,
I have a problem with creating a master-detail relation between a database-view with lots of customer data and a small table with per customer a list of entities of our companies who may work for that customer.
Somehow I seem to be unable to create a relation between these two. I can't find where I can make a foreign key using Toplink to implement the relationship. And neither can I get a Viewlink object doing the job using ADF Business Components.
Somebody any suggestions on this problems?

There is a key relationship between two fields which form the primary key in the main table of the view and two fields in the second table.
I created a viewlink manually, but I still couldn't get the data correct i.e. a form with one record of a customer from the main view and a small table with all entities of our company who can make performances for that customer.
I tried to find a manual or a how-to on this topic but I didn't find anything helpfull yet.

After a couple more tries, I got the master-detail working. With all the fiddling I am not sure what caused the problem but I think the finally action was checking which fields of the view were marked as primary keys.
Now everthing is up and running.
